Radio Industry Intro & Sec Tone Features

Does anyone know how to set up Audition CS 5.5 to use 1- Intro Tone and 2- Sec Tone  / Radio Industry?
Thanks
Kate

Agreed. Our station was one of those using 1.5 then we recently upgraded to 3.0 and loved it however, there was a an issue with licensing, that is way above my pay grade to know about, and were upgraded to 5.5. The nice addition to 5.5 is the Metadata features for our traffic, prod, and even digital services department since they use Adobe Creative Suite. Although, we are already missing the CART info support. Our automation system has an intro and segue editor but, AA3.0 allowed to get extremely accurate with our tones and as a Top 40/CHR format is critical to our sound.

  • "Radio Industry" ID3 Tagging on Soundbooth?

I'm hoping someone from Adobe can tell me if it's possible to include the ID3 tag info labeled "radio industry" in Cool Edit/Adobe Audition that's been around for years when saving files in Soundbooth CS4?  As I'm sure you're aware, a huge number of radio professionals utilize the encoding on the "radio industry" tab to pass intro/queue information (as well as title/artist/times, etc) into one of several different on-air automation systems. (In particular for us, Simian).
If this important feature (to radio, at least) was not included in this release of the product, can it not be easily integrated into the metadata options in the near future? I must say, I'm surprised to see metadata formats for such a diverse and seemingly far-flung industries such as medical records (?), but not the very basic needs of the radio industry, which is so dependent on Adobe Audition. I would think that this one small feature would open up a huge potential sellable demographic of users for Soundbooth in the future who simply cannot use the product today. (And if I'm mistaken and that tagging is indeed available, please accept my apology and point me in the right direction!)
    Thanks so much.

Only a few of the "Radio Industry" tags are applicable to existing ID3 tags.  I think even when exporting to MP3 in Audition, only a subset of the RIFF/XMP/Radio tags are applied to ID3.  Other file formats do offer better support for these tags.  Are you exporting to MP3, MP2, or WAV?
I'll submit it as a feature request for Soundbooth, though.  The primary metadata model in Soundbooth and the other Creative Suite applications is XMP which is pretty modular and allows for just about any chunk of metadata to be added.  There are a few standard metadata specs out there and by default, a lot of the fields don't apply to all forms of media.  Definitely watch for improvements to be made in this area in all Adobe applications as they're placing a pretty big stake on metadata and its potential for media.

  • UCCX + Whisper Tone feature

    Hello All,
We have setup Whisper call feature from the script using Place Call step to make the call to agent for a short description about the call and then it will connect to the customer to the Agent. Now everything works fine, but some time the CAD freezes after the whisper call is played and while the original call connects to the agent.
    1. I have only one CTI port group in my environment and one Media termination dialog group. I have used this CTI port group for "Call control Group ID" field and the default Dialog group for the Dialop group field in the PLace call step.
    2. Agent manually answers the call without auto answer feature.
Now, I am trying to understand little more about the CCG that I am using in this step,
    1. Do we need to have another set 0f group to be used in the Place call step as it is a outbound call to the system and the CCG i have created is for Inbound calls.
    2. Also for the Dialog group, can we use the default group or any special group
Kindly share your thoughts and experiences.....

    Hi Elie
If the agents do not pay attention to the CAD they can use the IP Phone Agent, there is a way to keep the Enterprise Data field in the main screen of the IP Phone Agent service so when they look at the screen they will be able to see the Enterprise Data that says Noah's or Einstein. It would not be necesary to create different CSQs, but as Aaron said before you will need to create two applications, one called Noah and the other called Einstein, both of them can use the same script and send the call to the same CSQ.
So you will transform the 800 Noah to the trigger of the Noah application and the other 800 to the Einstein trigger, after that in the script you can use the Get Call Contact Info where you take the parameter "called number" and store the value in a variable, after that with an "if" statement you can check if the called number of the Get Call Contact Info is equal to the Noah application trigger then you set a variable called "number800" to Noah and if the called number of the Get Call Contact info is equal to the Einstein application trigger the you set the variable "number800" to Einstein, after that you push this variable to the Enterprise Data Field.
For you to show in the main screen the Enterprise Data you need to create an Application User named telecaster an associate the agent's IP phone to it, also this Application User need to be a member of the Standard CTI Enable.
    Gabriel.

  • Auto Tone feature in Acrobat

Right now when I scan a mostly text document to pdf I can open it in Photoshop and darken the text nicely.  But its a pain to do each page, then save, and re-assemble.  Can Acrobat XI do this, perhaps in preflight?  If you're reading this Adobe, please add the same auto correcting feature found in photoshop to Acrobat Pro.  I notice a huge difference in text intensity when a poor scan is fixed with automated tools in photoshop.

I'd like to know if this is possible too.  I was scanning in Acrobat XI yesterday and the content on one page was not dark enough to read because the original was light.  I could have brought it into Photoshop to darken, but hoped there was a way to do it in AA11.  I know I can adjust the scan settings prior, but I only wanted it for one page and I didn't want to change my customized settings for scans.

  • Amber Nokia Message Tone and volume settings

I really like the photo updates and ability to block phone calls in the new amber lumia.
however, something I noticed immediately after receiving some texts is that the Nokia Message Tone was changed. Slightly different tone as well as sounding about 10 times quieter! I always had the volume set at 15/30 and I could usually hear it even if I was in a next-door room to the phone. Now I cannot even hear it most of the time in my pocket!
Another suggestion, I would make, and it's always been before the update; is making to ability set two different volumes. One for ringer and another for media. I always had to turn volume down when listening to music, etc before. Then turned back up when I finished so the ringer would be set.
thanks, ps. i need to find my headphones so i can try out the fm radio! It was total false advertising by allphones/nokia that it was on the original features list! Internet radio IS NOT fm radio!!

Firstly, the features you are requesting are more to do with Microsoft than Nokia.
Secondly, it has been requested thousands of times by othr windowsphone user. Yuo can add your name to the petition onthe Microsoft site using the link below.

  • "Missing" new features in Amber?

Some customers have posted about new features which seem to be absent from their phones after the Amber update.
    FM Radio
This is a new feature for Lumia 520, 521, 720, 820, 920 and 925. You will find Radio as a new option in Music and Videos, see the screen shot below, it will not appear as a separate app in your app list.
FM Radio is not available in Lumia 620, 810 and 928 as these models do not have all of the necessary hardware.
    Double-Tap and Glance Screen
These are features first require an updated version of "Display+Touch", you should be offered this as a suggested app update by the Microsoft Store app or Store live tile shortly after updating. If you haven't seen the notification yet, you can search the store for the app and download the update directly.
Also, please note that these features are not switched on by default:
Double-tap to awaken (Not available on Lumia 520, 521, 620 or 720) - go to Settings>Display+Touch, slide sideways to "Double-Tap" and tap the tick-box.
Glance screen (not available on 520/521) - go to Settings>Display+Touch, slide sideways to "Glance" and choose "Peek" for display when you hand is held over the phone (this option used the proximity sensor), "Timed" for a fifteen minute display of the Glance screen after the phone locks or "Always on".
If this or any post answers your question, please remember to help others by pressing the 'Accept as solution' button.

For phones at about 25% the price of an iPhone these models hold their own pretty well. I find the remarks here  quite laughable and hilarious. You buy a budget phone, where technical and hardware compromises have to be made to bring cost down. The notion you paid for features which become available at a later date for some models  is just ridiculous and childish.
I refuse to believe anyone with a sane mind would go beserk over a trivial feature not available to them. Good luck with your double tap to wake feature on your iPhone.. oh wait.. Android then.. damn again..
Get a life people, you sound like a bunch of crybabies.

  • LIghtroom Auto Tone Too Dark and Loses Detail

    Hi,
I'm new to Lightroom so excuse my ignorance if I use the wrong terminology or ask a question that has a relatively easy answer I somehow overlooked inside of Lightroom.
I take photos at my son's soccer games and frequently walk away with over 200 photos to adjust, crop, etc. after removing the poor composition, out of focus and other shots. One of the features that prompted me to purchase Lightroom to replace my existing tool (Capture One LE) was the way Lightroom handled colors in the Auto Tone preset. Photos auto adjusted in Lightroom with the Auto Tone feature exhibit a much more rich/vibrant color than the ones that would come out of Capture One LE for me.
However, I've noticed that Auto Tone also darkens areas of the photo to the point where a significant amount of detail is lost. For example, a shot of a player head on with a shadow across his face and front of his jersey loses facial detail around the eyes, nose, mouth and folds in the front of the jersey because the coloring is darkened to the point where the highlights are lost.
I've tried several adjustments to regain the highlights and associated detail, but am unsure if there's a better way to recover the detail (or gain the tone enhancements without losing the detail). So far, the adjustments I've tried to regain the detail have caused the colors to wash out somewhat and reduce the benefit gained with the color enhancements of Auto Tone.
Is there a better way of regaining the detail after using Auto Tone? And on a related note, is there a way to "undo" just the Auto Tone adjustment in a photo if it's not the last adjustment made, or does one need to step backward through the adjusments undoing each adjustment in order to get to the Auto Tone adjustment in order to remove it?
Thanks in advance for any direction or suggestions anyone can provide. FYI, my photos were all in RAW format (noticed a lot of other posts referring to LR Auto Tone washing out JPGs, but this isn't my issue), with a Canon 20D.
    Dale

There are several ways to go, here, as always with Lightroom in this situation. I suppose one thing you can do is use Auto Tone as you've been doing, and then back down another slider or two, particularly Contrast and Brightness, that moves too far for your taste when you hit Auto Tone.
I don't use Auto Tone. It's considered a machete where deftly-wielded surgical knives get much better results. I tested Auto Tone out on a virtual copy of one of my photos of people for you to see what happens. It bumps Contrast way up, drops Brightness a bit, reduces Fill Light, and increases Blacks slightly. Yeah, that would pretty much get the results you're complaining about! Might work okay in some landscape shots in some very subdued lighting situations, but it will make family shots too harsh.
Let me suggest another approach. First, no one checklist approach like I'm about to suggest works for every photo. But when you learn how to use the sliders yourself, and not rely on the automatic and strongest ones, like Auto Tone and Contrast, your photos will look better than you even realized. Seriously! I know what you're saying:
I take 200 photos at a time, and I don't have time to play with sliders for each photo. Hear me out, though, because you do. Once you get the hang of it, you'll learn to do all this so fast, well less than one minute per keeper shot, and you'll see that it's worth the small amount of time it takes.
First look at all your Imported shots and quickly weed out most of them. Don't try to save the ones where your main subject is out-of-focus or turned away at the last second, or badly overexposed shots, or for whatever reason, aren't worth editing time because you know you have better ones... and you should weed out MOST shots (maybe at least 150) if you took 200! Be a tough editor! Hit the X key as you look at ones to cull, then click Filter by black flag until all the Rejected photos Only are isolated, check them one more time to be sure you didn't X some you want by mistake, ctrl-A them to highlight all the Rejected ones ONLY, and hit Delete to blow them all away, From Disk. Congratulate yourself, because you just saved a lot of editing time.
Assuming the Exposure was in the right ballpark, fix Color Temp first. For your first keeper shot, move that Temp slider near upper right of Develop, almost certainly to the right for Canon Raw shots, to warm the faces a bit. You probably don't want the kids' faces ruddy red, but a little warming so that white jerseys just begin to go slightly to the red side of white, makes your outdoor people photos glow. It wouldn't be surprising to see family soccer photos in the 6000-6500 range look best. If you want cold journalistic realism, leave white jerseys pure white and Temp down in the 4000-5000 range on a cloudy day or 5000-6000 range on a sunny one. Now, if one shot's right, and
if your light didn't change during the shoot (sun going in and out of clouds, sun setting, field lights turning on halfway through the game), you can fix Temp for all your remaining shots with just a couple of clicks! Leave the first shot you fixed Temp for highlighted, and ctrl-A the whole filmstrip (or, alternatively, you can just ctrl-click the ones taken in the same light). Now click the Sync button that appears near the lower right corner of Develop. A window pops. Make sure White Balance is checked, and click Synchronize. (Every field checked here gets applied the same as on the first highlighted shot to all your subsequently highlighted shots when you do this. Since you haven't changed anything else yet, you don't have to uncheck the other boxes-- it won't matter. But later, after you've made other adjustments to other shots, you might only want to leave the boxes checked for fields you do want applied the same to all highlighted photos.) When you click Synchronize, watch all the highlighted photos in the filmstrip at the bottom get a warmer color balance. You can always later make more refined adjustments to individual shots or groups of shots that go too red or not warm enough.
The next thing to fix is the Exposure. Get in the habit of constantly consulting that Histogram graph at the top of the right column. Ideally, though this isn't always possible or ideal, but generally, you'd like to see neither triangle in the upper right and left corners
lit. (When it's right, you'll still see the outline of the triangle, but it won't be illuminated.) Even better, for an average outdoor shot with a variety of light and dark tones, you want to see a nice balanced line across most of the graph, curving up from the left and down on the right. Not always possible or the best exposure for every shot, mind you, just average ones. (A silhouette shot on a beach with the setting sun in the photo is an example of a shot where the best Histogram will look the opposite of that!) Try moving Exposure slowly to the left and right and watch how the Histogram moves. Try to get the best average placement you can, and see if the photo still looks right.
Or watch your grass with soccer shots while you move Exposure back and forth. Grass should look middle green, not too bright, and not dull-muddy-dark. Or watch faces. If you still have a triangle on the upper right of Histogram, which means highlight detail is blowing out, try sliding Recovery to the right just until the upper right triangle disappears, if possible. (It isn't always possible, even with Recovery at 100.) If you still have a triangle on the upper left of Histogram (that one means shadows are muddy with no detail), try sliding Blacks down from 5 towards 0, just until the triangle goes away. Sometimes it's easier to make a triangle go away by moving Exposure a bit. If there's no triangle on the upper left, try increasing Black slowly just until one appears in the upper left, then back off a bit until it just goes away again. If there are harsh shadows, increase Fill Light to brighten shadows a bit until it looks right. Losing the triangles is a general goal but not as important as having photos look right to you. It's a juggling act. Sometimes when you remove the triangles, the grass is muddy brownish, faces look wrong, or highlights are too dull. Maybe you move Exposure, Highlights or Blacks to put one or both triangles back but leave the overall photo better.
Now just do two more things, especially as you're learning this: first, increase Clarity. Probably a bunch. If faces go too harsh on you with Clarity at a highsetting, and they can in closeup, you may want about a 20-45 on Clarity. Many photos look best with even higher Clarity settings, even 100 for landscapes. Now bump Vibrance up, probably to the left of the Clarity slider, though. Too high a setting on Vibrance makes colors looks cartoonish and fake. Are faces too ruddy or foliage too over-the-top? Back off on Vibrance.
Look at the Histogram one more time and touch up Recovery and Blacks again if needed to get rid of barely reappearing triangles.
I recommend you do not move the following sliders, generally, for 99% of your photos, anyway: Tint (just usually not needed if the camera is doing color balance correctly), and Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation, all of which are ham-handed ways of doing what you do more precisely with the other sliders. About the only time you need Saturation is to move it left with a rare shot that for some reason has too much color especially red even with Vibrance set to 0. (Maybe your camera is set to Vivid.)
Doing these things will make most of your photos look WAY better than hitting Auto Tone. And once you get the hang of it, as I said, you can do each photo in well less than one minute, and you only do this on your keepers, so it doesn't take much time.

  • Auto Smart Tone Going Dark For Part of Clip

    Hi,
I'm a new user of Adobe Premiere Elements. I have version 13 installed on a PC running Windows 7 32bit.
I have a problem that hopefully someone can help me with.
I have put a clip onto the timeline and then run the Auto Smart Tone and used its custom feature to brighten the clip. The problem I have is that certain parts of the clip stay dark. This happens when the video is played in the preview window and when the project is rendered and the final output played in an external player.
This clip has text overlayed in certain parts of it and further investigation has shown that the areas of the clip that are dark are some but not all of the areas with overlayed text. Furthermore when I click into the overlayed text to edit it the dark section of the clip that it is associated with the text being edited then brightens in the preview window the correct amount to match the rest of the clip on the timeline. As soon as I exit out of the text editing that section of the clip goes dark again.
If anyone can shed any light on what the problem is and how I can fix it it would be greatly appreciated. The problem may be a simple error I'm making as a result of my inexperience of using the programme.
    Many Thanks
    Gavin

    Gavin
What version of Premiere Elements are you using on your Windows 7 32 bit computer?
A just in case question....have you reset the learning preference for the Auto Smart Tone feature?
    https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/autosmart.html
Please see Edit Menu/Preferences/General and the "Clean Auto Smart Tone Learning" there.
I still have not factored in your observation
when I click into the overlayed text to edit it the dark section of the clip that it is associated with the text being edited then brightens in the preview window the correct amount to match the rest of the clip on the timeline. As soon as I exit out of the text editing that section of the clip goes dark again.

  • ITunes radio is stuttering

iTunes radio is stuttering while playing. Not every song but many. Is occurring after updating software also.
    HELP.

I am having the same stuttering radio playback, from the 12.1.2 upgrade, on my iMac running Yosemite and my MacBook Pro running Mavericks with iTunes 12.1.0. Only when selecting iTunes' Featured Radio Stations does the stuttering occur. Plays and stops every couple seconds. If I select Internet Radio, those stations seem to play without the stutter.
I had not played iTunes music for a number of months. Prior use was with earlier versions of iTunes that did not have the Featured Radio stations. Never had a problem with those version, but that was using Internet Radio stations in iTunes. Pandora and Spotlight play their songs without any stutter.
So, I guess, until Apple engineers provide a solution, I will play iTunes Internet Radio stations and Pandora and Spotlight. Evidently, Apple customer service does not care if its customer don't pay for the extra Featured Radio Station options, nor purchase featured songs, since we cannot listen to the songs without them being constantly interrupted by pauses.
If anyone finds a solution, please post.

  • Ringback tones do not play, still just ringing iPhone 4

I've read through the different questions and nobody seems to get the question answered.  I subscribe to the ringback tone feature and purchased 3 ringback tones through the media store to put in a jukebox.  I put the jukebox to the default field but when I call my phone number, all hear is ringing. I've had ringback tones on different phones and had no problems.  Is this an iPhone issue? It shouldn't be this difficult.

You have to go under your Vzw account and that's where you would find how to fix it since it is online only to buy them or change them. Are you still paying .99 for the service? If you aren't then that's why you don't hear them.  I thought hey lasted a certain amount of time.

  • Same 10 pieces keep streaming on iTunes radio station.

Created a station on new itunes radio. After 10 songs or so, it began repeating the same selections. Is there a fix. I was listening on iPhone with iOS7.

I just came across the following... going to give it a try to mix up the mix a bit more...
    http://www.stereogum.com/1482491/first-impressions-of-itunes-radio/news/
"Theoretically, the coolest feature on iTunes Radio is a tuner bar that allows you to program the station for “Hits,” “Variety,” or “Discovery.”"
To access the "tuner bar", start playing a station then click the "circled i" at the top of the screen.
Looks like it's worth a shot.

  • Migrating Licences / Features

    Hello,
is there way to migrate a feature from one ASA to another one? In fact my old ASA with SEC PLUS got damaged and now I want to move the SEC PLUS feature to the new one. Is this possible?
    Greetings
    Martin

    Martin,
Investing in SmartNet when you purchase a Cisco device helps when something like what you describe occurs. Keeping that device under SmartNet is a small price to pay over the lifetime of that device. And if something does go wrong then you have a course of action that gives you options and potentially will allow you to transfer a license to a new device if the old device should fail.
SmartNet is money well spent over the course of time.
