Radio not showing on ipod?

i have a 4th gen. ipod nano and i have tried to put radio stations on my ipod but it doesnt show up on my "music tab" of my ipod.

"No Radio Signal, please plug in headphones for radio reception". Have tried two other headphones but same problem persists.
The earphones must be pushed very hard into the iPod. So hard, that the white part of the plug must touch the iPod in order for the external speakers to turn off. You will hear a click.

If you do a forum search, you will find this same solution. If it does not work, you will need to take your iPod to an apple store or call the Apple iPod tech support before your 1 year standard warranty runs out.

  • ITunes 9.0.1 not showing my iPod Touch since I installed OS 10.5.8

    Your help, please...
iTunes 9.0.1 is not showing my iPod Touch since I installed OS 10.5.8.
Your ideas are welcome, because I'm out of them.
    Thank you,
    Dean Leutscher

It looks like part of the crash report is missing. But at the top of your message it states there's an issue with the xmlTextReader in Pages. I guess this means Pages is having trouble opening, closing or saving the document.
If this only happens with one Pages document then it may just be corrupt.
If this happens with any Pages document then I'd suggest deleting Pages, reinstalling it from DVD/Mac App Store, updating it and then trying to work with a document.
If this doesn't answer your question please provide more information eg what steps to take to cause the problem, if it happens with one or many documents, if you get any error message at all, etc.

  • Radio not showing up

i got my nano yesterday and i was looking for the radio but its not showing up on my main screen or my music screen so i went to settings and then general went to see if the radio was in my main screen or music screen and i saw it so i clicked now there is a check mark next to the word radio but still its not in there.
so i was woundering do i have to buy the radio for the 4th generation or do i have to download it...if anyone knows can you please help me or tell me where i can get the radio.

To have radio on your iPod you need to purchase the iPod Radio Remote. The iPod does not contain the hardware for listening to FM Radio. The remote provides this.

My Ipod is Classic is not showing any podcasts which I have downloads either on the library within itunes or on the ipod but is showing in the syncing section some 3300 plus podcasts but even after syncing they are noty showing on the library or on the Ipod am missing a step here as I have ticked all before syncing ??
Is this a software failure ?

    I have sorted it myself!!
Ipod is now in the top right corner, last time I clicked on it, it ejected it but by clicking on the actual ipod icon then it brings up your ipod. I restored it to factory settings and synced all my music and it now works again. Hope this can help anyone who ends up with the same problem.

  • Why is radio not showing on iTunes update (and it is ticked in preferences)?

I upgraded to iTunes 11. Regret. Radio does not show. I checked Preferences and it's ticked. ALSO the update eliminated all my podcasts apparently. Can i get them back? What is the point of this update?

Yes well why is the tickmark in the category: show in library and why is it that if I untick others they indeed disappear from the Library list in the sidebar?

  • Itunes is not showing my ipod's music.

This issue happened once before and now it's happening again.
I have a 4th generation ipod touch. It has some issues, the lock button is stuck and the home button no longer works. Yay for assistive touch lol.
Anyways, the main issue is that I plug my ipod into itunes and the music is completely blank under the device and my playlists do not show up. Strangely, the music was still physically on my ipod. However when this happened the first time and I was trying to look for a solution, all the songs got deleted from my ipod. Now tonight, the same issue is occuring again and I'm worried itunes might delete my music again. The first time, I had to add my library to my ipod again and I had no issue for a couple weeks. Now I'm afraid to plug my ipod into itunes. I have close to 2000 songs, there's no reason why they shouldn't be showing up.
Does anyone know what's going on? I would appreciate the help. I have called apple support and they took me through a complicated process and I just got frustrated.

What is the memory being used by, is it Other? If it is, that means the iPod can no longer read the music, so it has put it all in "Other".
The usual fix for this is to allow the iPod to Sync with its iTunes Library. If that doesn't work, the next option is to Restore the iPod using the Restore command in iTunes, on the Device/Summary pane.
Unless you are very (very) lucky, I suspect that you are going to have to Restore your iPod. Restoring will remove everything form the iPod and put back onto it only what it finds in your iTunes Library, which you say is currently empty.
    If you have to rebuild your Library after this issue, by adding all the music back again, this is going to be hard to hear, but for the future, you may want to consider always having a backup of your library. The easiset way to back the Library up is;
if the Library is small enough, burn it to a DVD, as digital files, not a "music CD".
If your Library is too large for a DVD, buy yourself an external hard drive and copy the Library onto the drive. Remember to update the backup every so often.

  • Album art does not show on iPod

Only the album art from Apple Store purchase is showing up on my iPod. Any art that I imported to iTunes for my own cd's does not show on the iPod. Some of the art came from the Apple "get album art" some I got off the net.
    I have iPod v1.2.
    Thanx for any thoughts
HP m7250n   Windows XP   60g video ipod iTunes 7.0

Try to disable album art on your iPod, then sync it,
then enable artwork again, sync it again and it
should be okay...assuming all the album art appears
    in iTunes.
I've had this same problem and it's worked for me.
I manually add songs onto my Ipod and then delete them from Itunes.
Wouldn't syncing my Ipod erase all the songs that are currently on it only adding what is currently in my Itunes Library?

  • Podcasts do not show in ipod?

I follow all the instructions in the manual but podcasts do not show in my ipod. What am I missing?

Which iPod shuffle model do you have?  This document shows the four types.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1719
1st and 2nd gen work a bit differently from 3rd and 4th gen.
Assuming it's the current 4th gen shuffle (or 3rd gen), podcasts on the shuffle do not play from the All Songs list.  You need to use the VoiceOver feature to select the podcast from the playlist menu.  This document shows how to set up and use VoiceOver.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4322
NOTE:  If you put podcast episodes on playlist in iTunes, and sync that playlist to the shuffle, the podcasts will only play if the shuffle's power switch is set to the play-in-order (middle) position.

Need help...After updating the software in a 5G Video iPod, songs successfully transferred, but the artists for those songs do not show up? Example, I transferred U2's Vertigo over where Vertigo listed and played in Songs, but U2 did not show up under Artist in the iPod? Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?

  • ITunes will not show my Ipod Touch

I have my Ipod plugged into my compute, and the computer and iTunes will not read the iPod.

Did you ever figure it out?

  • Album artwork not showing on iPod touch 5th gen

    Hey guys,
I really need help on this. The issue has been bugging me the last several weeks and it is driving me nuts.
After I updated my iPod touch to 6.1.3 as well as itunes on my windows to ver.11.0.2.26 (or the one before),
I could no longer add album art to any of the new songs I add to my iPod.
The weird thing is that album arts are there in itunes under get info ---> artwork,
but they just never show on the actual screen of iPod touch no matter what I do. I tried to hit the sync button,
remove/add the songs back to itunes again, even restored the iPod touch but didn't do a thing. Now all the previous songs' artworks are gone.
I like to organize all songs manually so are all the artworks. I google the image and copy/paste to each song by going under get info ---> artwork
Tried to get album artworks using the itunes feature but since some of the songs I have are foreign songs, so it wouldn't work either.
I also don't use library to organize my music since I have some duplicates and they just look really messy in library.
I simply just drag and drop music on the iPod itself.
Is anybody out there having the same issue? I called Apple and they had no clue to why.
It worked perfectly fine until the last update. Now I am really regretting the update. All the songs are now showing nothing but music
note on the screen with title and artist name.
    Help will be appreciated!

Glad to know I wasn't the only one with this issue.
As an update to my issue, the album artwork all the sudden reappeared on my iPod yeasterday.
Still don't know the actual cause or what actually got itself fixed but here's how I did:
    - Back up your iPod first. Since I didn't have much to lose on my iPod, for those who have alot of stuff on there should promptly do so just in case.
    - Go to this link: http://www.doctorchewy.com/album-artwork-woes/
      and follow the procedures.
    - Some people might get the album artwork back working properly again by the end of the procedure above, but it still didn't work for me so I suspected it was itunes so I uninstalled the itunes from my PC and reinstalled.
    - It still didn't want to show album artwork after reinstallation so instead of synching it to the PC, I used my Macbook (OSX 10.6.8) and downloaded the older version itunes (10.7) through here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1576
    - It still didn't show after days followed but while I almost bang my head against the screen, I figured
    that go to get info------> artwork, click add, select the image file, click ok, and if it still wouldn't show;
click on the image and delete the image. Repeat the previous step once again, and it should start synching to your iPod after hitting ok. If it doesn't sync automatically, hit sync and voila. The album artwork should once again, show on your iPod like before.
Again, the process is somewhat hectic but hey, it works now. I'm still hesitant to sync with the newest itunes though. I don't know how my iPod was able to sync with a PC and my Macbook but I was able to manage and keep all the stuff, minus the music, before the problem occured. Let me know how you guys did.

  • Itunes radio not showing on music app

i have the iphone 5 and updated to ios 7 but the Iradio icon is no longer available? Re- startedthe phone but didnt work...

    Hi fred,
Here are a couple of easy things to try first:
Close all apps (including your iTunes): Double click the Home key and then swipe up on the thumbprints that display above the icons
Reset again: Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Silver Apple appears (up to 30 seconds)
Once the Home screen redisplays, see if the radio shows up in your Music app
If that does not resolve the issue, then do a full restore using iTunes on your computer. Be sure to do a backup before restoring:
