Radio option grayed out in preferences?
I do not have the Radio feature in my sidebar, and when I go into Preferences, the Radio option is grayed out and cannot be selected. What do I need to do to activate the Radio? I'm using iTunes 10. Thanks.
It was the same with me. It's strange because I had never even entered the parental control section, but checked anyways and it was blocked!

Why is the email option grayed out from iphoto sharing
I am running iPhoto 9.5.1 on Mavericks. When I select a photo and try to share it the share menu has email and all the social meida options grayed out. Checking accounts in iPhoto my email accounts are there. I tried deleting and reinserting the one I want to use and restarting iPhoto, but it is still grayed out.
You need to update yoru profile - it says OS X 10.6.8
In the iPhoto preferences select an email client (I personally prefer Mail) and if you are using iphoto enter your email information in teh accounts tab (If you use Mail it will use yuro existing sset up)
Same for social media - enter your account information in the accounts tab

Trying to delete pages 21-24 on iPhoto book but "remove pages" option grayed out and pressing delete button not doing anything. These extra pages resulted from using Autoflow and now we can't seem to get rid of them. Help!

I did as you suggested:
1) Booted from install CD.
2) Ran Disk Utilities on internal hard drive--no repairs necessary. For good measure, did the same thing on external drive. Also no repairs necessary.
3) Checked software update--no updates found. About this Mac said I was already running 10.4.7. For good measure, I downloaded the latest and installed it. Since it let me run the install, I'm not sure if I installed something new or reinstalled what I already had.
4) I rebooted from CD, ran disk utilities, ran repair disk--no repairs necessary. Repaired permissions and a lot of permissions repaired.
5) Tried to delete the files and the same old thing happened: kernel panic. The specific message:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00102A08): jnl: transaction too big (1587712 >= 1572352 bytes, bufsize 8192, tr 0x29f1fb0 bp 0x2801de40)
So there's no change in my status.
I'm trying to delete the files because:
A) They already take .5 Gb.
B) I can't get rid of them ever. If I move the problem files to a different folder, I can only do one successful drag-and-drop backup to the external drive until the "new" thumb segments become unerasable just like the previous versions and crash the system.
C) I can't even "just" drag and drop every file/folder except the thumbs, because that ends up crashing the system as well. So I have to drag and drop every file/folder in the iPhoto hierarchy individually. Which makes me less inclined to backup, which defeats the purpose of a backup.
D) After the iPhoto fiasco I'm just crabby about all the Apple screw-ups I'm experiencing and I want to get them fixed.
Thanks for your help. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.

IMovie 9.0.4, all export options grayed out. Have I missed a step?
I'm still on OS 10.6 so I can't udate iMovie software. I have a little movie, under 4:00, finished and want to export but all options grayed out. Have I missed a finishing step or is this just an obsolete software/OS problem? Thanks. Chris

OK. So we've established that you're in Photoshop CC on Windows 7 (nothing to do with Acrobat or Acrobat Reader).
What exactly are you trying to do in Photoshop CC? Can you outline in detail what steps you're taking and what's confusing you? -

I When I go to edit my page an alert pops up ... an error has occured in the scripe on this page . What does this mean and what is it doing to the program or preventing me from doing ?
I have a lot of options grayed out and not able to use when editing or making new pages? << highlight color, change text color, change size, change fonts. >> resizing images, page properties 5 out of 7 options grayed, etc. ... I checked under Administrators and all there looks okay and I am the only one using the program. I have gone to the Administrator Settings, then styles/fonts/size and all check for my use.
OOnly on two of my main pages are all of the options available to use on either a New or Edit page but none are available on the other tabbed pages of my website. Even if I cut and paste a document the color, size and font changes to what is on the page.Don't make a text selection, but simply put your text cursor in the text with the new formats. Most likely, you have a mix of character formats selected.

Paste as Background option grayed out
I'm using Captivate1. When I edit a slide, I select Copy
Background, edit it in Paint, copy it from Paint and try to Paste
as Background into Captivate. The Paste as Background option is

Thanks.I started tracking what I was doing before the graying out
occurred. It seems like if I copy and tweak (in Paint) more than 8
or so backgrounds in a row, then the Paste as Background option
grays out. It's like the system is tired of me copy and pasting
back into Captivate. When I shut everything down and reopen it,
then the paste memory clears and the option is available. Now by
all means, this is not a technical explanation for what happens,
but it's just what I'm observing.
And yes, I'm patiently waiting for the powers that be to
approve my upgrade to Cap2.

Sip dialer port export option grayed out in configuration manager ucce 10

I am configuring the outbound option for ucce 10, when i configure the sip dialer port (dialer conifguration) in conifiguration manager, i just added 5 ports, i can see this ports showing in dialer process on the PG, but i need to export this ports to Unified communication manager, i could not able to export it because this option grayed out (i did select all, or individual selection both are having export option grayed out)
Any idea?

ManivannanExporting port configuration is only allowed for SCCP, in SIP Dialer Deployment its actually not needed and that why its grayed out.

in Sip Dialer you don't need to create any Port For Dialer under CUCM. its only required in SCCP.
Sip Dialer port Directly registers with VG.

Airport Express.
My network suddenly not showing up. Openend system preferences/Network & my network is there. When I open Airport Utility, most option are grayed out except "configure other" with no change. Utility does not provide option for setup assistant where I could just start over. So no wifi without network set up and can't use ethernet/router to troubleshoot. I am stuck any assistance helpful.So I went back to the PC after my original post, and somehow I was able to connect to the AirPort wireless network in the Windows Wireless Network List. Once I did this, it showed up in the AirPort Utility, and I was able to access the internet. I have no idea what fixed the problem, but maybe it was simply a matter of waiting a few minutes before connecting to the network?

After upgrade to 10.6.2 the" entire message" search option grayed out
Just upgraded to t10.6.2 but now in the mail when searching for a mail the entire mail search option is not available anymore it is there but it is grayed out it can not be activated. That was the beauty if mail.
on the other hand the To do button now works again
any ideaYou have not said, but I would guess you are using an IMAP account? If so, then might it be that the selection in Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced has gotten changed to not keep copies of messages (and/or attachments) for Offline Viewing? The Entire Mail search will be grayed out when copies of the messages are not stored locally.

IChat: Many options grayed out.

For some reason, many options within iChat are blocked out for me. Please note that I am the only user with access to my computer, so it's not that I'm on a different account. In "Preferences," there's no "Security" tab like I've read up on. If I right-click a buddy in my buddy list, all options are grayed out save for: Invite to Chat, Send a Message, Send File, Show Info, Search in Spotlight. If I want to block someone, I cannot do so through that menu nor the "Buddies" menu at the top of my screen. Nearly everything is grayed out as before, including Block Person, Ignore Person, and Request Authorization.
However, on other accounts (i.e. my AIM name), I can block people. I'm using GoogleTalk through iChat, which is where I am finding troubles with this. Are my problems common?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

iChat Version 4.0.5 (608)Hmm. Apparently, to solve this, you need to sign into GoogleTalk directly. You cannot "block" or "unblock" people on GoogleTalk through iChat. Makes sense.

in manual, Demonstation Mode is selected by default and I am unable

If you are recording in Manual mode, you cannot choose a type
of recording. This is because you told Captivate you want to
control when screen captures occur. To enable the options, cancel
the recording dialog so you are at the Captivate Start Page. Then
click Edit > Preferences... > Recording node > Settings
node. Change the drop-down from "Manual Recording" to "Auto
Recording" and click OK.
Now when you attempt to record, the options should be
available to choose.

"Copy Selected Albums" Option Grayed Out for Synchronizing Photos--Help!!
I purchased a 60GB Video iPod a week ago. I cannot get it to sync my photos. When I select "Synchronize photos from iPhoto," the option to "Copy all photos and albums" is selected and the option to "Copy Selected Albums" is grayed out. If I try to sync all the albums, I get an Error -50. I can, however, copy & sync photos by selecting my Pictures folder (either all folders or selected folders). But, that won't give me my photos organized by album in iPhoto.
I rebuilt the iPhoto database and deleted/trashed preferences. No help. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Apple has been no help and I have searched and searched these forums over many days, with no success.I had this problem after I imported a bunch of photos. I narrowed it down and found that two of my pictures had the word "photo" in the filename, example(photo003.jpg and photo004.jpg). I deleted these files and the "copy selected ablums" was available again.

I've successfully upgraded to iTunes v7, and while everything else appears to be working okay, I'm having trouble with the "only sync checked items" option. The option is grayed out and I can't enable it.
My poor Mini just doesn't have enough space to hold my entire library, so I rely heavily on this option to move back and forth all the podcasts I want to listen to on a daily basis. While I can do all this by manually dragging files over, I'd rather use the built-in option that specifically meets this need.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Windows XP Pro Plenty of RAM, HD and everything elseI've got the same problem. Two days and no reply yet? What's especially troubling is that syncing only checked items had been my preference under iTunes 6. ITunes 7 should have kept all the same preferences.

Default Browser, and Download option grayed out.
My default browser, and Download option buttons are grayed out, what may be the cause of this? I can't seem to find a reason... can someone give me a list of possible fixes for this?

There may be corruption in the Safari preferences file. In the Finder, drag to the desktop the com.apple.safari.plist file found in your User Account>Library>Preferences folder.
Restart Safari. Select the Plug-in box. Quit Safari/restart. If this works you'll need to reset your Safari preferences to your liking, plus any custom settings found in the Edit Menu (spelling) or View Menu (status bar, Address bar, custom icons in the "Customize Address Bar" ).
Otherwise, move the original file on your desktop back to its original location.
If no joy, try the Safari Preferences from another User Account.
