Radius errors after changing servers
Hi,
I'm still trying to get access so I cannot relate the exact error message, but after changing a 5508 to use a Server 2012 Radius server (from Server 2008), the 5508 is showing error messages about it cannot contact the Radius server even though it can ping the Radius server and authentication is working from the new radius server.
The 5508 is running older 7.0x code. Is that the cause of the messages?

Software version shouldn't affect it. Have you checked the necessary ports (1645,1646,1812,1813) and the Shared Secret? And have you checked the new RADIUS box has all of the correct rules,, EAP Types and Certs that you need?

JustinWe also see this same error when attempting to Create a Connection in Oracle BI Discoverer 11g. I am able to connect to a database but not able to save a connection to said database....

Unknown server error after changing password, solutions on support side don't work
After changing my password I get the "unknown server error". I already tried the solutions on the support side, but it won't work.

I tried to connect PHP and oracle in Red Hat linux. I got error ORA-12545 after changing the host name as IPAddress in Tnsnames.ora file. In sqlnet.ora file also i have entry for tnsnames in Directory_Path. I struggled so much but i couldnt solve that. Seems you specified wrong IP address. -
SMC Error after change hostname. Solaris9/Sparc
Hello friends:
We have a little problem with Solaris Management Console after changing out hostname in Solaris9/Sparc.
After change de hostname using sys-unconfig, we had to go to Console -> Preferences -> Home Toolbox location and change the hostname of our host. After doing this S.M.C. began to run another time....OK
Now it runs all OK, but we can see the next error inside the left toolbar:
LegacyAppTool.client.LaunchLegacyAppTool
Clicking on it we can see:
The specified host machine could not be resolved into a valid IP address.
In the toolbar we can see .... host not found.
How you can see S.M.C. continues looking for our old hostname for something.
Where could we change it?
What do we have to do to delete this error? ( we like the perfection ;) )

one of our test systems (IDES) with doule stack including NW Portal is connected to the client 001.
As we have a lot of users in the client 800 we want to change the configuration of the UME to client 800.
We used this SAP Help Link:

My first thougts were to check the RFC/JCo connections - so I changed the configuration to the old one via ConfigTool - UME.Services - restarted the J2EE engine.
Log to SM59 and Configtool. I regenerated the JCo Connection for sapfallback (was not available) and to the portal itself - Tested the connections in SM59 TCP/IP - successfully tested.
So i tried the changes again (client 800)- with the same errors as above?
Any idea what causes this misbehaviour? Or is the SAP help link only for initial setting of UME? Are there additional steps when changing from one ABAP Host (or client) to another?

Update:
- the host file contains localhost and service file contains sapgw00 with 3300/tcp?
- the java stack runs unter https, http is only available for localhost, may this be the problem?
- Which JCo connection causes this error - actually there are three JCo Connections maintained in VA - .. - JCo RFC Provider - NONE of them connects to localhost??

Realy would want to be of help - but I can't see where the problem originates.
I would - just to omitt the obvious
• trash pref files - iMovies and iDVDs
• run - repair permissions
• Start a new - User account and log into this and see if things works better here
• Free space on Start-Up hard disk > 25Gb - I never go under
• Garageband-fix. Start it, Play a note and Close it. Re-try (Corrects an audio problem that hinders iMovie)
• Screen must be set to Million-colors
• Turn off Mac and disconnect Mains/Power for 20-30 minutes - will at least re-set FW-port
• Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK (not relevant for iMovie’08 or 09 or 11)
• Problems in iPhoto Library can affect iMovie to crash on start-up. Re-build this first then try to re-start iMovie.

IC intermittent SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC error after changing business partner
Hello,
after upgrading from CRM5 to CRM7 (Service for Employee), our Interaction Centre users started getting intermittent SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC screen dumps when clicking on the 'Save' button after having changed a partner number in the Partners Table of a Service Ticket.
On encountering one of these screen dumps, the user then has to close their IC session and then restart it - after which it is then possible to successfully 'Save' the same change to the same business partner on the same Service Ticket.
I have not been able to reproduce this error due to its intermittent nature.
Details of the source code extract from the ST22 dump is given below.
Has anyone else encountered such an issue themselves?

thanks for your message. I have had a look at the SAP notes that you have pointed me to, however they unfortunately do not relate to the functionality where we are encountering this problem:
1914117 - Relates to Sales (not Service {Employee})
1823316 - This error occurs in the wrong FM (BUR_BUPR_UPDATE) rather than FM COM_PARTNER_UPDATE_DU.
1809361 - Relevant for the SAP GUI transaction, 'BP', not the Interaction Centre which iswhere this error is occuring.
SAP have not been able to help because of its intermittent nature, it is not possible to create this error on demand, and as I am working on a secure site SAP cannot open a remote connection.

Portal Run time error after changing the logon screen
Hi all,
I am running an EP7 SP08 and I try to change the logon screen as described on:

I copied the 'com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak' file, renamed it to 'my.new.logon.par'. after that I extracted the file with winzip. I opened the directory 'PORTAL-INF\lib\' and there I extracted the file 'umelogonbase.jar' with winrar. I opened the file 'logonLabels_en.properties' and changed the entry 'xtit_WELCOME=Welcome' to 'xtit_WELCOME=blablabla'.
I repacked the umelogonbase.jar with winrar again and after that I repacked the 'my.new.logon.par' with winzip again.
Then I placed the par file back at '<J2EE_Engine_Instance>\j2ee\cluster\server<X>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd' and changed the authscheme.xml with the new par file and changed the 'login.authschemes.definition.file' all described on the help.sap.com url mentioned above.
However, when I restart the portal and open the logon screen I see the error message:

Check if you did the following steps pertaining to the authschemes.xml file:
--> Download the authschemes.xml to local drive. Rename the file to,say, authschemes_new.xml
--> In authschemes_new.xml, did you change <b>all</b> entries of com.sap.portal.runtime.logon with the name of modified logon par file?
-->Upload the authschemes_new.xml file using configtool; and, change the property login.authschemes.definition.file to authschemes_new.xml in configtool.
-->Finally,restart your portal. Hope it helps.

Crystal report error after changes in BW-query
Dear all,
we have an problem concerning crystal report (CR 2008) based on SAP BW (3.5).
If we make any (simple) changes on the BW-Query the Crystal report canu2019t be use any longer. We get an error message and forced to create a new one. Does anybody know a solution for this problem?

Hi I have a problem of having HTTP 404 not found error for file upload in my apex app by submiting a page. When it goes to http://xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/apex/wwv_flow.accept after unlocked , changed password and change tablespace for the account FLOWS_FILES.

Yes, I have modified the bug tracker application to support file upload by using a file browser object and created a "file_upload" table under the workspace schema to keep the linkage with the table WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$. The application works fine before but after I realize that the FLOWS_FILES schema can be unlocked and the free space in default tablespace SYSAUX has almost been used up more than 99%, so I first unlock the account FLOWS_FILES, then changed the password and move the table WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$ to tablespace FLOW_1 and changed the default tablespace and then rebuilt the index. I have moved the table back to SYSAUX tablespace now and have rebuilt the index also. However, upload a file and then press 'apply change' in the 'create issue log details' page, it gets the error HTTP 404 but if I do not attach any file. It goes without an error. The only thing I changed is on the database side of the FLOWS_FILES schema, so I think the problem resides on it but I don't know why even I moved the table WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$ back to SYSAUX, rebuilt the index but still it doesn't work.
Is that good even explanation ?
btw, I am using IIS and how can I see the webserver error ?

Missing +x perm error after changed Dovecot partition-default

This after I changed the imap:partition-default location to a directory on an external volume.
I reviewed permission on the default location of the Server OS volume. Used chown and chgrp to match user and group permissions.
The server works when I revert imap:partion-default to /Library/Server/Mail/Data/mail
What is the "missing +x perm"? and the command to apply it?
I'm thinking I need to "touch" the directory but need clarification.Started fresh. I recreated a directory at the root of the external volume. I created this directory as sudo via CLI. Set the permissions as _dovecot:mail with 775.
Then I stopped Mail service via CLI. Then updated my config to point to the new directory via CLI. Then started Mail service via CLI. Verified mail_location using doveconf -n command. It was pointing to the new location. Then initiated IMAP reception of email.
Same error message. Error occurs when mail attempts to initialize the user's mail directory: (I changed identity details within the snippet)

So then I stop mail service and change the config's mail_location to original installation default (/Library/Server/Mail/Data/mail) and no permissions errors -- incoming mail goes into the user's mail folder.
Is the error specific to the volume /PEGASUS? and thus initialization cannot traverse the path -- gets stuck at the volume?

Getting Error after changing the recalculation date in retropay status page
We run Retro-Notifications Report (Enhanced) - PDF and one record came with the recalculation date as 01-JUL-2009 ( Hiredate). We want his retro should be calculate from 12-Jan-2010. When we are changing the recalculation date of this employee in HRMS Super User -> View-> Retropay Status page it is giving a error like that.
Error :
You cannot update to this recalculation date for the assignment because it contains one or more elements with an earlier recalculation date. Please choose an assignment recalculation date that is the same as, or earlier than, the recalculation date of all the individual elements.
Please suggest in this case.

Getting errors after changing the Database
Previously I was using a different database connection for my adf application.Now i have changed the database connection through project properties->business components. I also deleted the details of the previous connection from connection.xml file. But still i'm getting the error about the previous connection.
Please share your opinion to get rid of this problem.Try this.
1. Menu->View->Database->Database Navigator
2. Find your application specific connection.
3. Check properties of the connection, update/recreate, test the connection using Test button.

Error after changes in workflow file (.wft)
Hello Friends,
I have got one customization request in workflow notifications and that required changes in standard packages.
I have made custom copies of those with required changes and then opened workflow file in wordpad and replaced the standard package with the custom copy( I guess this is the method to do it , if there is any other pls let me know) in wft file.
But i am getting errors which indicate that workflow is not able to call the custom components. The error is saying that package is invalid but when i checked from backend , the package status is valid.
Is this an issue with access level in workflow?
