RAID, 845PE MAX3 and the Raid user guide.

I want to mirror two ata/100 drives one of which contains an existing XP installation. They are attached to IDE1.
Page 11 of the Raid user guide is completely confusing me. MSI reminds you not to do what it immediately appears to tell you TO do!
In addition MSI say you can attach only ONE HDD to IDE3 so where does the other go?
I would be very grateful for a clear and simple guide as to how to achieve the mirroring, including how to load the RAID drivers before attaching something to IDE3.
Many thanks

Support 2 serial ATA plus 1 ATA133
 - RAID O or 1 are supported
 - RAID function works w/ATA133+SATA H/D or 2 SATA H/D
• Connect up to 2 Serial ATA devices and 1 ATA133 device
you need to buy a sata adaptor for at least one drive
ide 3 acts as a sata channel and will see one drive only
later some one may mod a bios and put full promise version in and ide 3 will then see 2x drives
ps ide 1 has bugger all to do with raid

Strangely enough there is no iBooks chapter in the user guide for iOS7. It is there however, in the user guide for iOS 6.

  • Why can I not get to the iPhone user guide in Safari ?

Just updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 6.0 last night. There's a lot of new stuff in here that I'd like to figure out. So naturally, I launched Safari on my phone, went to Bookmarks, scrolled down, and hit iPhone User Guide.
When I do that, I get a 404 error that looks like it's coming from a regular website, not from the mobilized site that used to contain the User Guide. This site has been dead all day today.
Is there a new way I'm supposed to be reading the help files on my iPhone under iOS 6.0? Why is the site dead?
For the record, the bookmark leads to help.apple.com/iphone/6/  .

    You have several options:
Go to http://support.apple.com/manuals/#iphone with Sarari on your phone and create your own bookmark; or
Download the free iBooks app on your phone, then download the .pdf to your MBP, import it to iTunes and sync it to your phone by selecting it on the Books tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.  The manual will appear on the bookshelf in iBooks and you can tap on it and read it on your phone whenever your want.

    Hi PK.
Thanks for your Attention. You know how to insert a line configuration via SNMP RW  "set radius server 10.112.15.21 auth-port 1645 primary"?
I believe this way or can I work around the problem.

You get the iBooks version through the iBooks bookstore. Just search for "iPad User Guide".

  • Where is the iOS6 version of the iPad User Guide and /or guide for the new version of Maps?

Yesterday I installed iOS6 along with 4 updates one of which was the User Guide, as I recall.   But my user guide till has iOS5  Maps guidance so must be the old guide.  How do I download the iOS6 UserGuide and new Maps guidance? Thanks

There doesn't seem to be one for iPad yet. There is an iOS 6 guide for iPhone. They are virtually the same.

  • How do I connect a Lexmark x6570 printer to my iMac wirelessly?  The basic user guides are not helping me and the add printer is not finding my printer...

How do you connect a lexmark x6570 printer to an iMac wirelessly?  The basic user manuals are not helpful as the printer is not showing up when using the add printer function.  I my printer is working fine wirelessly with my windows laptop so it appears to be functioning fine.  This is my first time using an Apple at home...
    Thank you.

    Hello,
I am using a Mac with this router. Any ideas how I can set it up to print wireless. Im not a tech person so this gets confusing for me sometimes.
    Thanks!

  • Wiped the hard drive and the previous users Apple ID is still showing up in itunes.

How can I remove the previous users Apple ID stuff and equally as important, how is it still on there given I wiped the HD? The disc was zero'd out and then the OS reinstalled and it still remains.
When adding purchased items/authorizing the computer, my friend is having an Apple ID box pop up with a random name once, she enters her correct info, a second random name pops up, again she enters her correct information, and it finally gives an error message stating it's already added.  I'm most confused by the fact the old Apple ID info is showing up.   How can I eliminate/remove the old Apple ID promts?
Full background, it's my old 13" MacBook Pro running its original 10.6.3 software (currently being updated to 10.6.8), I pulled my HD and threw in a spare I had lying around from. then performed the zero, reloaded the drive etc.  Any help is appreciated - Thanks!

You may be right, but it is far easier said than done.  What do you do when almost all shadows are gone, and the screen picture looks flat and horrible? I asked an Apple specialist who recommended removing pref files. Since there were none I could identify as related to the screen, the only option was to start removing (and putting in a folder on the desktop) the ones that immediately did not seem important. It became a guessing game, and I'm not sure if I have learned a lesson. The lesson I (and I'm sure a lot of others)  really need is good helpful descriptions of different categories of pref files and their function. I had that, I could have done what you suggest, remove the right ones and leave the wrong ones alone. If you can guide me to such information, I would indeed be very grateful !

  • Nokia C5-03 and the blind user.....

I bought my C5-03 last year because it had good voice controlled dialing and walking sat nav - which was brilliant when it worked.  I now have two major problems that are reducing the usefulness of the phone as a basic voice call device and as a navigation guide.
The walking sat nav is now very edgy as the signal strength in the Reading, UK area appears to have dropped away and I seldom see 3 bars on the GPS 'status' graph.  I'm assuming that's poor Thames Valley coverage rather than a duff handset.
The other, more acute, issue is that I need to be able to answer the phone by one keypress.  Yes, that has been set-up - but my handset routes the sound output from the caller to the wired headset and not to the handset 'speaker'  by default.  There does not appear to be a way that I can set the inbuilt earphone to route the caller's voice  to the handset - rather than the headset!  Surely, there's a menu in there somewhere that will mean that when I get a call, I don't have to both acknowledge the call <and> select the in-built earphone. option (I think that comes-up at the bottom right of the screen area (a toggle between handset and headset?).
How can I configure the phone to hear the caller's voice through the in-built earphone, by default - when the headset is not plugged-in?  It seems crazy that when the headset is not present, that the system does not automatically route the incoming caller's voice to the handset earphone.
Before we go round the update route, I have already got the latest phone software download (12.0. 023).  I did a 'hard reset' yesterday, too.
    Please help!

Something I did over the last day has resolved the call answering issue. Might be an intermittent hardware fault, I suppose. No doubt it will reoccur when I most need the phone! Re the sat signal; that seems really variable. Watch this space - but don't hold your collective breath!
