Rainbow CryptoSwift and mod_wl_ssl.so?

Hello,
We'll most likely speed up our SSL content using the CryptoSwift
PCI-Cards from Rainbow (http://www.rainbow.com). Rainbow provides a
Patch for the OpenSSL-0.95a Library and a kernel module (Solaris 2.7
in our case) to speed-up all SSL en/decrytion work using the OpenSSL
lib.
We need to tunnel all /servlet & *.jsp requests to our WL5.1sp6 Server
running on a different machine. We wan't to keep the app. server free
of all HTTPS traffic.
Question: Will mod_wl_ssl.so use mod_ssl.so (which is hw-accelerated)?

Dirk

Hi David,
Please copy and paste the following section inside the <VirtualHost>
section for your secure port ( usually 443 ) and restart Apache. That should work.
<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
WebLogicHost yyyy
WebLogicPort 7001
MatchExpression *.jsp
</IfModule>

Hi,
I am using WL6.1sp1, also WL6.1sp2 on solaris 2.8.
WebServer -> Stronghold 3.0, build 3015 - use apache 1.3.22
I can't seem to get MatchExpression to work in-order to filter
.jsp traffic only the weblogic server.
Has anybody else encountered a similar issue. I notice 6.1sp2
is supposed to fix some bugs in this are however I still have
problems.
LoadModule weblogic_module modules/libexec/mod_wl_ssl.so
AddModule mod_weblogic.c
does work =>
<Location /xxx>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
</Location>
does not work =>
<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
WebLogicHost yyyy
WebLogicPort 7001
MatchExpression *.jsp
</IfModule>
Thanks in advance

  • 2012 13" MacBook Pro constant rainbow wheel and heating after upgrade to Yosemite. Link Davis can you please have a look?

    Hey guys, I've been trying to save my mac from this constant lag for the past few days to no avail. I've been reading the forums and trying to figure this out myself but I haven't been able to reach a solution so here I am. I've done a clean reinstall. I've run disk permissions and repaired the disk. I've reset PRAM. I don't have FileVault running. I am constantly getting rainbow wheel, even as I'm typing this question out. Applications freeze in their own windows, for example, Chrome will freeze but I will still be able to move over to another application like safari and use safari. It's practically impossible to run any kind media because it stutters constantly. Any and all help is welcome, thanks in advance.
    Problem description:
    Mid 2012 13” Macbook Pro slowed to a crawl after update to Yosemite. I currently have 10.10.1 running. I have tried a clean install, I’ve resetted PRAM, I’ve run disk permission verification and repair. None have helped. I constantly get rainbow wheel and all sorts of media stutters.
    Below are my EtreCheck results. Any and all help is welcome, thanks in advance guys.

    It's been a few days since my last post, i've tried uninstalling chrome and adobe flash but my mac is the same. My problems have actually grown. Now my mac is heating up even when the lid is down and the computer is sleeping. The battery has also begun to drain very quickly. Any suggestions? solutions? Below is my current etrecheck result, the one above was when this first started.

    I am not able to use the ftp export in Muse. When I enter my host, name and password, I get a long interlude of rainbow wheel and finally the message that my ftp host cannot be found. I have verified the name and that it is port 21. I can export to html and use another ftp client to upload (to the same server) but this is tedious and making minor changes is painful. Have you encountered this and found a solution?

    Hi Susan,
    In that case I will recommend that you consult a local technician/IT team and see if there is some network connectivity issue with your machine.

    All web pages or specific web pages?  Provide an example link.

    Do you have a little green dot in you Network preferences next to Ethernet or Airport, whichever one you are using?

    Rhonda you Force Quit and app by click the Apple symbol in the upper left and selecting Force Quit... and then select the app that isn't responding and Force Quit it.
    I'm not sure what is wrong with your Mail system but I'd recommend starting over with it. You can find out how in Mail Setup, Troubleshooting etc... If you still have trouble then contact AppleCare,  you have 90 days of free phone service with AppleCare......why not use it?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
    Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
    Triple-click the line of text below to select it:
    for k in /Sy*/L*/Ex*/{,.?}*.kext; do test -f "$k/Contents/Info.plist" && /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Print :CFBundleIdentifier" "$_" | egrep -qv "apple|Accusys|ArcMSR|ATTO|CalDigit|HighPoint|hp-fax|JMicron|print|SoftRAID|stex" && echo $k; done | open -f -a TextEdit
    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. Post the contents of that window, if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. You can then close the TextEdit window. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that. No typing is involved in this step.
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    sudo defaults read com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook | open -f -a TextEdit
    This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which you do have to type. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Heed that warning, but don't post it. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
    Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.
    Step 3
    Repeat with this line:
    ls -1A /e*/mach* {,/}L*/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,Keyb,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Spo,Sta}* L*/Fonts 2> /dev/null | open -f -a TextEdit
    Important: If you formerly synchronized with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, anonymize it before posting.
    Step 4
    osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of every login item' 2> /dev/null | open -f -a TextEdit
    Remember, Steps 1-4 are all copy-and-paste — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
    You can then quit Terminal.

    Software Update: Java for OS X 2013-002 1.0
    This update, upon booting, has caused my disk space to fill up and my system freezes up. The same happens to my coworker's computer. We both watch the remaining disk space decrease and the "spinning rainbow appears" and we must restart. What do we do?

    First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so.
    Use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
    Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved.
    ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
    Back up all data now.
    Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual.
    Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
    Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
    I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means.
    When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

  • Rainbow pinwheel and slow

    Hello, I've been putting up with this for awhile now (3 months or so) I have a macbook pro, and my hard drive failed the first time, so I replaced it and formatted it, everything was fine. I've been dealing with the rainbow pinwheel and lag for awhile now and I'm sick of it, when opening a webpage it takes like 30-45 seconds, and when I play Diablo 3 and WOW I have about 5 minutes of game time, then it freezes, and then resumes. This is fairly annoying, any information would be very appreciated! Thanks so much all

    Hi, thanks for the answers, I am running on wireless, and it still does it on wired. I did do all the updates also.

    When I am in Safari, esp my hotmail account, I get the twirling rainbow circle
    and a message that says -" A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly.
    If it continues, to run your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort script?"
    Not sure what to do.

    Just click No.

  • The color wheel just keeps spinning and won't allow me to put in my computer password to install a printer driver. How do I stop the rainbow wheel and keep going?

    Why is the rainbow color wheel spinning as I try to install a downloaded printer driver? It won't even let me put in the computer password to begin the install. Help!

    Disconnect the printer. Restart your Mac.
    Then try downloading the drivers.
    If that doesn't help, exactly which printer drivers are you trying to download and from where?

  • Constant rainbow wheel and freezing issues

    Hello everyone,
    I have done a lot of reading online about this issue, and I've called Apple a while back, but the issue has returned.
    Firstly, I'm on a MacBook Pro 13" from Mid 2010.  It's got 4GB of memory, and 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.  I've still got over 200GB avaliable on the hard drive.  I'm also running Mountain Lion 10.8.2.
    Basically these are my main issues:
    Constant rainbow wheel occurs, probably once every few minutes or less of normal working
    Sometimes happens just randomly
    Sometimes occurs when I click a new application, new window, spotlight.. basically any clicks
    Lasts from a few seconds to much longer, but generally the computer doesn't fully lock up
    iTunes music will pause for periods of time, totally just cuts out.. then resumes after a random amount of time
    Videos will pause during playback for random amounts of time - both streaming video and downloaded content
    Overall slow response time no matter what I'm doing
    I have a memory monitor on, and this all occurs when there is still over at least 1.5GB of memory.  I've tried resetting the PRam (?) multiple times, and it used to seem to make my computer run more smoothly, but it no longer seems to rectify the issues.  I've also went into the Disk Utility and checked permissions and ran the disk repair and everything..
    I'm not sure what else to try, so any help would be MUCH appreciated.  I'm in university and this constant freezing is not condusive to my learning haha.  My computer even froze up once while typing this post!
    Thanks so much in advance.

  • Rainbow ball and replying to mail

    Some of the messages I receive on the laptop I want to answer. I use the reply button and when I do the rainbow ball is spinning and I have to force quit to get back to mail. Does any one know the answer? It affects my Mac Pro Laptop many times, it doesn't seem to be the same on my G4 tower any suggestions greatly appreciated.
    Roger

    It's not a functional "fix" at this point so much as on the checklist of items in the process of variable elimination.
    I built a "flattened" mac, that is on a clean empty hard-drive, I built a system from scratch using the 10.4 dvd, then did the necessary software updates to bring it up to date, and NOTHING ELSE, no third party software, nothing. I checked and verified the filesystem integrity and permissions via diskutils (the command line equivalent of the disk utility) from the console (>console in the login window) as root. (yes I enabled root.)
    I then made a complete bootable mirror copy of the drive in it's "pristine" condition using the ASR tools (another command line tool set provided by apple that us command-line junkies love).
    I also archived the the mail.app in it's pristine condition.
    I then configured the mail client to work with my home account. And then made another archive, just of the the ~/Library/Mail and ~/Library/preferences directories, so that I could later compare them to their counterparts when things went south.
    I then started using the account and mail.app, "heavily". And within a few days it started acting funky. I then started doing some comparisons about the state of the files in the "pristine" archive and the "sustpect" installed system, didn't see a connection. Did some tracing of the I/O of mail.app, to figure out what it was doing and why, and that led me to compare specifically the signatures and rules settings before and after, and amoung the text files I saw no difference, and I didn't compare the .webarchive files that mail.app uses for storing signatures.
    So I archived the "suspect" directories (mentioned above) and replaced them with the "pristine" versions, and things worked swell again.
    So now I am in the process of narrowing down what specific files are susepct of causing the problems and hopefully how and why they become problematic. When I do, I will post my results here. I am doing this as time and inclination is availible, and that time is limited. I hope to have a functional solution for at least my self by the end of the week (PDT) even if that "functional" solution is to not use the signatures or rules or junkmail facilities or something like that may work for me. I would rather have a functionally restricted, but reliable mail.app, than have to deal with a lessor client at this point.
    So the three things I would first yank (just move to a safe place, don't destroy) from your ~/Library/Mail/ directory if you are having similar problems are ~/Library/Mail/Signatures/ and ~/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist and ~/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup and reconstruct those settings in the mail app, by hand. If the problems go away...
    Just stop the application, and move those files, and then move the replacements in, and relaunch the mail application. If you don't have "pristine" replacements, you will need to construct and archive copies of them first using the process mentioned above.
    I have eliminated the DefaultCounts, and Envelope Index files as sources of the problems I am (personally) experienceing, that's not to say they aren't the problem in your case, both can become corrupted, and I have reports that some users within my circle of awareness find that mail.app reliability issues that were cured by removing those files and letting the app rebuild them fresh on occasion.

  • When I type in my password into the login screen I get the rainbow pinwheel and then the screen turns gray and goes back to account selection... How do I access my account?

    Today I was doing my chemistry homework when all of a sudden my mid 2011 MacBook pro running Lion 10.7.4 started going very very VERY slowly to a point where it was unusable. I restarted my computer and went to type in my password. When I did this, the computer recognized the password and began to boot yet the pinwheel came on and the screen turned gray and went back to the account selection screen. It continues to do this everytime I enter my password and I can no longer access my account. How do I fix this.

    You can take some of the steps here, #4, #5 or even trying a #18
    Step by Step to fix your Mac
    but I suspect your going to first have to create a data recovery drive
    Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
    to get your data off the machine,
    then do a #20 to eliminate the bad sectors as that's why your getting the "pinwheel" it's getting a delay reading from the drive, right when your trying to log in too, what a bad spot for it to happen.
    Step by Step to fix your Mac
