RAINBOW Message indicator ICON....
Does anyone know what the MESSAGE indicator ICON that is in 4 colors (red, blue, green, yellow or orange) on the TOUR 9630 stand for? I cannot figure out what APP it applies to. It is located on my home screen next to the usual message indicator ICON for messages and emails? I apparently have 2 messages for some APP. It also has the little red and white star in the upper right hand corner of the little envelope ICON.

It sounds like the eBay notification icon. Did you recently install the eBay application for the BlackBerry smartphone, if so check the eBay application for new notifications.

How do i clear text message indicator
My text message indicator on my Droid Razr Maxx shows two unread messages. All messages have been read. I cleared the cache, disabled the app, rebooted and then re enabled messaging and it still shows two unread messages, which is driving me crazy. Can anyone help?
Mary SDo you have the DROID Razr Maxx model or the DROID Maxx model? There is a difference.
Also have you tried removing the app icon from the home screen and adding it back again from the app drawer? That sometimes helped on one of my older devices. -
C3-01 Message indicator question
When I receive a text message the envelope icon appears on my main screen. When I go to view the message either by hitting the icon that I get immediately when the message is received or later by going to Menu/Messaging I can usually see what it says (they are usually short messages) without actually clicking on the messaging and opening it up.
The inconvieneince, to me, is that unless you actually open up the message the message icon remains on the home page. Thus, I can't tell if I have a new message. This requires that I click on and open each and every message I receive or that I delete all messages. In either case it is a lot of extra steps. Is there a way to handle this better through some obscure setting?

A few possibilities...
Sometimes, the indicator just get's stuck...try this...
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Other times, there is a new message, but it's not always easy to find. From the main Messages app (in other words, NOT your separate icon for email), go to BBKey > View Folders...seek through them all to find the unread message. Also, you can use the robust Search function from within Messages -- just be sure to set the options for all email services and unread messages only...that might find it for you.

Email Message Indicator.. no message!
I am new to this 8900 Curve.. I have spent ages trying to sort out my first problem, so any help would be appreciated.
I have an email message icon (not sms as it isn't slanted), but I have no unread messages anywhere.
I have managed to find the various email folders, I can see 3 inboxes, I added my work one and then removed it, also tried to add another work one that I aborted.
Any idea how I get rid of the unread message indicator on my screen?

Did you change your login PW ever?
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

My Blackberry device says that I have 2 email messages although I have deleted everything. Does anyone know how to remove the indicator? Removing and replacing battery did not work.
I have listed some information below that may help with removing the message indicator displayed on your Blackberry device.
Depending on model, ensure you select show all (you may have a hidden icon). To do this (depending on model) press your menu key twice, and in the sub-menu that pops up, select show all (if available).
2. Depending on the device model you have, check your universal messages box (this box would look like an envelope). If you have a new message that was left unread, it will be in a darker bold color.
3. Check your SMS/MMS box. The notification indicator may also be a new SMS or MMS message that has not been addressed

Turning off new message indicator AND the new message count

Is it possible to turn off both the new message indicator (red asterix) and the new message count?
I would like no message indicators to appear on my blackberry home screen.
Thanks ever so much for your help.I guess I didn't read close enough. I don't think you can turn off the red asterisk. It's going to show up on the icon no matter what.
As for the text messages, I'm not sure the setting for not showing message count indicator applies for text messges. In fact, if you have OS 5, it most likely doesn't as sms is handled much differently.
You can turn off sounds and the red led in Profiles (or Sounds in OS 5)
You're basically wanting to disabl everything the phone was designed to do.

I have read in multiple places on the forum that muse forms are now supported on third party platforms. however I am having a very difficult time getting mine to work on Godaddy. They seem to no longer have the "form mailer" option and told me to look at this PHP: mail - Manual to make the forms work. Muse is not giving any error messages indicating that there is a problem on the go daddy end, the form appears to function but no message is received at email address. can anyone help troubleshoot this for me.

Thanks for getting back to me. So, I tried changing the address as Sanjit suggested, and yes an error message came up. But then I tested Brad's theory and looks like the form works with another email address other than that of the actual website email:( So I guess based on Brad's link I should reroute the form to the other (non-godaddy) email...or contact go-daddy to see if they can correct this? Would that be the final answer?

This just started happening.. I open Itunes and the little round rainbow loading indicator just goes on and doesnt stop.. My itunes wont function.. It gets stuck. Then i have to force quit.. I tried to shut down and restart. also reloaded the latest itune 11.1.3 and it still gets stuck.
i use an external HD and thats fine.. all files are in there. But I have no idea why my itunes app is getting stuck.
Am I the only person this is happening to? What can I do to correct this problem?Hi marlonbnyc!

When selecting a song to play from iTunes library, I continually get an error message indicating the original file could not be found. Then asks, would you like to locate it? Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm not even able to play the songs I purchased due to this error message. Any ideas how to remedy this problem?
ThanksIt would help to have more background about your iTunes collection such as if you keep it on an external drive, or if you have moved or renamed anything recently. iTunes is very sensitive to you renaming or moving files or folders involved with your media. iTunes only keeps a reference to where a media file is located and then goes to look for it when you try to play it. If you have changed things since it was added to itunes then it's like me sending you to look for a friend in my addressbook but that friend has moved.
The other possibility is your computer is starting to lose files. Again, the computer uses a reference database to tell it where on the drive to look for a file. If that database gets corrupt then it starts losing files. Use Dsk Utility's first aid to verify your hard drive. -
