Raising Event within an Activity Expects that Event to be in Current Proces

Hi:
I have a workflow process that is started by a business event. The process has an activity that calls a pl/sql procedure. Within that procedure I raise another event (let's call it event2). When this workflow process runs, it seems that the workflow engine expects event2 to be received by an activity in the currently-running process.
Question: Is there any way to raise an event without the engine expecting the new event to be received in the currently-running process?
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks.

Hi,
Instead of raising the event from pl/sql, try creating a new 'event' activity and setting the Event Action to 'Raise'. Drag and drop the new Event into your process and set the Event Details tab.
Hope this helps,

    Hi,
To configure your ODBC DataSource, go to Control Panel ---> DataSources(ODBC) (If you are in a Windows environment).
Select the tab System DSN. If you have not added your data source, then do so by clicking on the Add button. If you have added the datasource, click on the Configure button to configure it.
Give the datasource name, then the database name.
You have to give the hostname, service name and server name. I guess, in most cases, the datasource name and host name will be the same, service name and server name will be the same. If you are using TCP/IP, the protocol will be onsoctcp.
There will be a file named Services under C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc where you have to give the port number for accessing this server.
It will be like this <service name> <portnumber>/tcp
    Hope this helps...

  • Calendar on iOS 7.1: Cannot Save Event - That event does not belong to that event store.

    Hi All,
I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1.
Yesterday, while updating a birthday in the iPhone iOS calendar app (default calendar = GMail), I noticed that the new 'List View' in the iOS 7.1 calendar (and only that view) showed an event called 'New Event' - which has a start date of 2014 and an end date of 2001. If I go into that event, it will show me no title and no location - only, as mentioned, funny start and end times. The 'Delete Event' button is completely missing. This 'New Event' does not come up in any other view.
Trying to input a ficticious title with a valid start and end time into that event slot leads to a message from the calendar app saying: "Cannot Save Event - That event does not belong to that event store." I have deleted all calendars and re-add them again via settings, with / without soft and hard reset and tried every possible combination. Yet, the event will not disappear.
The funny thing is that this 'New Event' will still showed up, even when my GMail, work and iCloud calendars were disabled. I have, however, subscribed to a GMail calendar for Australian holidays, and there is a built-in 'Birthday' calendar that pulls the dates from the contacts (I do not use that contact field, though).
Does anyone have a similar issue? Any suggestions how to fix it?
    Thanks in advance!
Edit: This 'New Event' does not seem to sync to any calendar other than on the iPhone - not to Gmail, not to work, not to iCloud.

Had same problem. Although the phone looks off   it actually isnt.  If you actually turn it off and then on again this problem will disappear. I think its a memory overload issue that is solved by clearing the memory by turning it off.
    Worked for me

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
    NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
LibreOffice (a new direction for the Open Office suite.)

  • I keep getting error messages on the calendar since downloading the new software on my IPAD2. It either says "cannont save event. That event does not belong to that event store" or I get an error message that says that no calendar "has been set".

I keep getting error messages on the calendar since I downloaded the new software on my IPAD2.  When I try to add a new event it either says "That event does not belong to that event store" or it says "the calendar has not been set".  Does anyone know what these messages mean or how to address this?

I'm getting the same issue on my ipad2...I set up a new calender and now I keep getting this error message....how do I fix this?

When attempting to add an event to my calendar and I press "Done," I receive a message that reads "Cannot Save Event," "That event does not belong to that event store." How do I remedy this problem so I can add events and appointments to my calendar?

i am having the exact same problem, same messages (no end date set; cannot save; no calendar set; event does not belong to that event store."
it is unbelievable to me that this issue existed so long ago and hasn't been fixed. I just bought my first apple product (iphone4s) and am ready to toss it. Despite hours of searching on these forums I have been unable to find out how to fix my calendar. I have rebooted, adjusted settings to no avail. without a calendar, i can't use this product. Also, i am not technologically brilliant and can't handle the advanced fixes that some people recommend.
question, is apple a product for the ignorant like me? or should i go back to nuts and bolts pc?
all i really want is to be able to use the calendar without "uploading, reprogramming, contacting support offices for 3 hours, contacting network administrators, upgrading, switching fonts, changing operating systems.... etc. " I am just a regular person who needs a portable calendar.
sorry to vent, but can anybody tell me (in simple terms) how to get my calendar to accept a simple apointment?
    thank you.

    Hello All,
Also no answer but am having the same problem.  All my catalogueing via folders is up in smoke and no external HDs (where I would normally directly store raw footage when importing) showing up on the iMovie interface.  It is a pain the arse to go back to the earlier version - why APPLE, pray tell, do you continue to lower expectations user-friendly functions. Shall try the option+open for a library but this too is extremely inconvenient if it works like iPhoto because you have to log out to log in to a new library whereas I just want to be able to see my multiple HDs directly from the iMovie menu and then the folders within folders I have layered in there - to make it easy to FIND STUFF. Wake up Apple, you are NOT meeting your customer's needs or desires.
Thanks to the posters who are helping the rest of us lost in the dark with possible solutions - free fix-its for Apple which they don't deserve.

  • Listening to several xml-events within one workflow

We are running WLI20 and are using Sybase(11.5) as a respository database. We are
having the following problem with eventnodes.
1: Within one template we are using the action 'post external xml' to post three
unique messages to the destination JMSQueue "com.bea.wlpi.EventQueue".
2: In the same template we have added three eventnodes which are listening for
the unique messages. The number of unique messages is the same as the number of
    eventnodes.
    We get the following result:
All messages are sent to the JMSQueue(this is verified).
Often one or more of the eventnodes does not receive the xml-message. It is no
obvious pattern in which eventnode that doesn't receive the message. Once in a

Have you got any ideas of how to solve this problem?
    [test.xml]

I am also getting exactly the same behaviour. In one template I have 4
tasks. each task posts intenral xml event and waits for the response with a
    unique key value.
Sometimes the all the steps in the workflow get completed and with the same
message input, one of the event does not invoked even though the XML message
does contain the key-value that matches that event. I even verified this
    with the EventWatch table..
Looks like there is problem. Pls WLI guys test it out.

  • Active X Calendar Event

I would like to select an event case in an event structure when a new date is selected in an active x contained calendar. How do I get the active x event to be seen within Labview?

    Hello optobionics,
Assuming you are using LabVIEW 7.0 or 7.1, there are two shipping examples that deal with registering callback functions for ActiveX events: ActiveX Event Callback for Excel.vi and ActiveX Event Callback for IE.vi. This will give you some idea of what to do. It is actually up to the program being called through ActiveX as to whether the events are available or not. The following KnowledgeBase also discusses using callback functions.
Migrating from the ActiveX Event VIs to Using the Register Event Callback Node
If none of these suggestions help, or if Im not correctly understanding your issue, please reply with comments or answer
s to the discussion above and any additional information that may help, and Ill be happy to look further into it.

  • How do I schedule an event within an already scheduled event ?

I have a business trip coming up for a few days, which I scheduled on my iCal. In the middle of the trip, I have a couple of meetings that I wanted to schedule in as well.
Uh oh, every time I click on the highlighted dates of travel to create a new event, I find that I can't add anything else during that time. The only thing that comes up is my travel and I am blocked from adding an event within the event, as it were.
    <Edited by Moderator>

    Banktank,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
If you are not being allowed to add/change/edit an event, it indicates that you have an uneditible (Birthday or Subscribed) calendar selected in the CALENDAR Sources pane of the iCal window. Just click on the appropriate calendar to make the change.

  • How to decide when an a "wait for event action" is activated

    Hi,
In the attched example file (which is a part of my program)I have 3 basic stages, enclosed in a sequence structure:
    1) I initialize the GUI buttons
    2) I check the instruments in my system are opened and ready to run ("VSWR initialize vi")and issue a true/false result.
    3) A case structure for normal run or abort operation (if the instruments do not
    respond correctly).
    4) If everything is ok the user has to scan a S/N using a bar code scanner.
The problem is that when I run the program the EVENT STRUCTURE in the FALSE part of the case is automatically activated, before the VSWR initialize vi is started!
This causes that when the user tries to scan the serial number on the GUI he can only type one character and then the screen is stuck.
If I disable the result from the VSWR initialize vi (as shown on the example) and connect a TRUE constant to the case structure, the event structure is not activated but then of course I can not use the "VSWR initialize vi".
How can I make sure the event structure is activated only after the two first parts are done? That is, in normal order - only after the "VSWR initialize vi" returns a false result.
Note, there's no need to understand each component in the attached file. The question is rather a general one about the right way to synchronize my program.
    Can anyone help ?
    Thank you in advance.

Saverio already mentione most critical points. here are a few more:
A very ugly quick fix (duct tape repair) is to configure the events to NOT lock the FP until the event completes. I recommend against this.
All your buttons should be latch action. Now you don't need to reset them at the beginning.
Set the "Board SN" string control to "limit to single line" and you don't need to remove the linefeed later. You should handle it with a "value changed event" anyway.
You have way too many sequence structures. Many times execution order is not that inportant.
Event structures need to be on a toplevel diagram loop, always ready to fire. Don't hide them inside case structures or inner loops.
Lot's of unecessary code. Let's look for example at the code in the big FALSE structure:
You have a reference and write to a value property of the message box while the message box terminal is disconnected elsewhere on the diagram. Remove all that extra baggage and place the terminal right there and wire to it.
You have a while loop containing a sequence, containing another while loop. The sequence and outer while loop have no purpose.
The while loop spins millions of times per second, just burning CPU. How fast can you possibly type??? Place a 100ms wait.
Rewritten as event structure, it could looks as follows (buttons set to latch action, string set to "limit to single line" and NOT "update while typing"). (see iamge below).
Of course the entire code should be rewritten in a similar fashion and around this single event structure. A second event case could deal with the error condition. Simplify!!!!

  • CE 7.30: Boundary event for human activity

    Hi there,
    one quick question:
I have a approve/reject WDJ screen linked to a human activity.
To avoid having too many ExclusiveChoice gateways in my BPM, I tried to use the WDJ error event as boundary event in my BPM.
This event is fired when the user clicks on the reject button.
But if you do so, the user gets the following message on the screen:
Modeled error event triggered by embedded application: Corresponding error handling started for this task
Is that always the case when I use a boundary event in a human activity?
If so, that's not nice for the users to see that error message after rejecting a request.
So the only way to handle rejections in BPM properly is to use Exclusive Choice gateways?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Stefan,
    thanks for answering.
I've found a simple workaround for that issue:
In my main process I call a referenced sub-process "Approval step" which includes my human activity together with an exclusive choice gateway "Approved?".
This gateway has two gates: "Yes" goes to normal end event, "No" goes to an error event.
If the user rejects, the sub process runs into an error event, which can be handled in my main process as a boundary event.
The only tricky thing is in my opinion the creation of the service interface/message trigger for that referenced sub-process.
You have to make sure that the service interface has a fault message, so that the referenced sub-process can have a boundary event.

  • Color coding events within a single calendar

I need to color code different types of definable events within a single calendar, a feature I have with my old Now Up to Date calendar, but I'm trying to switch over to the Apple calendar.   I understand different calendars will themselves show up as different colors, but this is not what I need.
Is there a way to do this? If not, is there a  3rd party calendar that is sync-able to multiple devices  that has this feature?
I'm currently running  OS 10.8.5 on an iMac, 10.1 on a Macbook Air, and OSX 7 on an iPad. I'm waiting to upgrade all to the most recent OS when I am sure I won't need my old versions of software..
    Thanks!

The color codes are simply a different color for each new calendar you add. I have a mobile me account and it added a few new calendars and each calendar has it's own color so when you view them all it will show you the specific calendar color in which the event is from.

  • Active x and event callback in Labview

I have an active x written by Aanderaa Instruments (makes
weather and hydrology sensors), it contain various methods and events to get
the next line of records from a sensory scanning unit. The connection is
through the COM1, so far i have wired it up only using the methods to get next
record level, but then I have found that sometimes it does not get the complete
record from the COM port. So to solve that I have to use an event in the active
x to check for new record available. So what I want to do is send the event
(when complete record available) to VI that uses the get next record method to
pick up the data from the COM1 port and then send the data back to the main VI
    for processing, plotting and writing.
My problem is that when I connect the output from the GetNextRecord method to a
indicator that I then wire on the connector pane to be an output from this
VI  get an error that there is a wire function conflict. I have tried to
explain a bit better in the attached pdf file with diagrams.
The reason why I want to export the data back in the main VI is because it runs
continuously collecting data every 2 min and I plot them on a graph and write
them to a file so it will no work to have all that done in the event callback
VI that will only run ever 2 min, then it will reset the graph the whole time
and I want continuous data plotting for 10 days of historic data records. I
also have a few other sensors that come in through a connector board that are
    written o the same file.
hope somebody can give me some hints

    Hello!
I checked the PDF file with snippets of your code and it looks alright, no issues or comments regarding that from my side. However it is really difficult for us to troubleshoot when we don’t have the ActiveX control available and even though we had access to the control it would still be quite tricky to find the cause of the problems you are experiencing since we don’t have the hardware and so on.
I found one link only that mentioned wire conflicts when talking about COM objects and ActiveX and you can find it here:
