Raising Vcore question

Ok a quick question.. I read the sticky on top and i dont quite understand this. I overclocked my winny 3500+ to 2.5 and had to increase the vcore to get it to run stable. I have the K8n neo4 platinum board (7100) and i see there are 2 voltage options. I used the second one "over cpu vid" and raised it to over 9.9%. I tested it and my temps are very cool running 31 idle and 37 load with and aftermarket cooler. Now my question is should i adjust the first setting "Cpu voltage" too? It is currently on startup setting and it only goes to 1.45 vcore max. With cpu overvid i get about 1.55 max. Do i adjust both? Any benefits?

Basically you adjust what is needed.
Doing what you are is ok if it works for you.
over cpu vid does what it says on the tin,it overvolts by the amount you set.In your case it was 9.9%.
but what does it overvolt from you ask?
It overvolts the cpu voltage,in your case "startup"(usually about 1.35v-1.4v?)
So,you have a voltage of 1.4v being overvolted by 9.9%.
So,no you don't need to adjust both but if you needed more voltage for a higher overclock then yes you would need to.
I think the mobo gives you realtime voltage indication when you alter either setting so you know what voltage you are giving it.
You did it right
but did you try a lower %

When I OCR two versions of the same document and then compare the documents in Acrobat Pro XI, I usually get the message that there are no changes to mark.  However, I know there a quite a few number of changes.  I raised this question more than a year ago, and the response I received had to do with the quality of the OCR and the scans of the documents.  However, if I use Acrobat Pro XI to save the same documents in Word and then run a comparison in Word all of the changes are marked.  When a PDF is saved as a Word document in Acrobat Pro XI, is a different OCR module being used than the one used in Acrobat Pro XI for text recognition?

OCR is only for recoginition of the image / picture of text provided by an scanner.
Content typed into a Word file which is converted to a PDF is (in Word and in PDF) *not* an image  or picture of text - it is the digital text. So, no OCR involved.
When the "digital" (renderable) text of a PDF's page content is exported to Word no OCR is involved.
When a PDF's content is from the image output of a scanner and this is a picture of text then OCR comes into play.
If this content is exported to Word before doing OCR then it is the image that is exported to the Word file.
Once OCR is performed it is the OCR output that is exported.
OCR output is (always will be) impacted by "the quality of the OCR and the scans of the documents".
Regardless "Compare" is based on a Word file output to PDF1 then edits to the Word file followed by an output to PDF2. You use Acrobat Pro to do a compare of PDF1 & PDF2.
Paper 1 scanned to image 1 to image 1 in PDF1 that gets OCR 1 and
Paper 2 scanned to image 2 to image 2 in PDF2 that gets OCR 2
being processed with Acrobat Pro's Compare can certainly be done.
But - well you've described what can be observed.
    Be well...

  • Although it did raise the question as to what the new spy organisation

Having to watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier after watching
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was a bit anti-climatic in one or two scenes, but only a little, although it did raise the question as to what the new spy organisation will be called now. Watchers of the Joss Whedon small screen version of the Marvel verse may
have been asking themselves that same question after last Tuesday’s episode. Whedon’s show about Agent Coulson and his small band of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents has received its fair share of complaints from viewers who wanted more crossover and tie-in episodes.

Do you organize your Project as a Package or Folder (and why).
This is an important question, maybe the most importan desicion before you start a Project. However, it is not as simple as recommending on over the other. More important than the final decision which option to use is to fully understand the difference between the two option, what are the implications.
These are the things (concepts) you have to understand:
    What is a Project Folder
What is a Project Package File
What is the concept of a "Package File" in OSX
What are Assets or "Project Assets"
I spend a lot of time in my Logic book explaining the details about File Management and start with that topic very early on before even go into the details of Logic. The topic of File Management is not as sexy as recording your song but you will get into trouble sooner or later when you ignore those options and their consequences.
Here is a screenshot from my book about the difference between the option Package and Folder. I get into much more details to explain and illustrate the difference and how to later change those options if necessary
Please be aware, the concept of a "Package File" is bit geeky at first, but since Logic is using this type of file format, it is important for any Logic user to understand what it is. Especially the way Logic provides different options and the way it lables those options can be very concusing. For example, when you choose "Folder" instead of "Package", then your Logic Project File is still a Package File, just the Project Assets are not stored inside that Package File, everything else is. As I said, it can be confusing if you don't understand the underlying concept (which I explain in great detail in my book "Logic Pro X - How it Works")
    Hope that helps

    MSI P67a-GD65 (B3)
    Core i5-2500k
Newb question -- Attempting to overclock to stable 4.6.  However, when I change my Vcore setting, there seems to be a drastic voltage range that the motherboard controls on its own.  For instance, if I set the Vcore to 1.4, CPU-Z reports the voltage at 1.352.  How do I set the voltage to remain at the specified Vcore setting at all times?

  • Vcore question! (Is it a bug ?( )

    hi:
    I have a vcore problem.
    my mobo is MS6330 K7Turbo2
my cpu is athlon xp 1700+ palomino
idle cpu temp is ±55 C
    full load is ±63 C
I have checked that my cpu has a default 1.75 vcore from AMD internet site.
But even though I have NOT overclocked my cpu  speed fan & sandra reads my vcore as 1.81. I thought then maybe that is the reason that my cpu runs little hot.
I have checked my bios and assured that it IS in default settings:in PC health status I read my vcore 1.73 and in frequency/voltage control page CPU Vcore select is in Default.
Then after reboot I read the same from sandra vcore 1.81.
In the bios then I have changed my Vcore settings  manually to 1.75. But again after reboot sandra says it is at 1.81.
This time I have changed from bios my setting as 1.70. Then VOLA! Sandra reads my vcore now 1.75. And indeed my cpu temp is decreased 2-3 C´s
Also I got no difference from sandra cpu test and PCMark2001 test.
Does anyone know what is in the hand? Do I have a bios bug?
And do you suggest me my vcore even little more decrease?
    Thanks in advance.
ps after all changes in Bios I dont forget to save the settings and exit!

it is not only sandra who tells the vcore 1.81
    speedfan4.08
    mbm
and fuzzylogic reads the same. 1.81
I still want to believe in my BIOS! ?(
And what concern with vcore, even 0.025v changing can make the board stable or unstable right?

  • HT201104 iCloud Drive FAQ raises more questions than it answers

I am tired of seeing statements from Apple stating that any file or folder can be stored on iCloud Drive and then kept up to date across all devices. As far as I can see this is simply not true. iOS has no file system as such, so you simply can't see files that aren't associated with a particular app. Another question I have seen asked by a number of people and to which I have seen no satisfactory answer is: where is my iCloud Drive folder locally on my Mac and is it backed up by Time Machine?
iCloud Drive is a total mess. Why oh why oh why didn't Apple just go and buy Dropbox. With Dropbox I know exactly where my local folder is and it is backed up with Time Machine. I can store any file I want and see it either through Finder on my Mac or Dropbox app on my iOS devices. If I want to open a particular file on an iOS device, I simply use the 'open in' and it's job done.
One thing that would make a massive difference here is a Dropbox like app for iCloud Drive. It wouldn't fix all the problems but it would go a long way to making it actually usable. Are there plans to do this?

  • Z97 mpower max vcore question

Hi im a new owner of z97 mpower max for my setup haswell hwbot, and I noticed that the vcore is not accurate
all intel c-state or eist is disable all digitall power is on auto
my 4670k is fixed to 4500mhs with a vcore of 1.32
my vcor is on 1.32 but my fluke on the vcheck point indictaet 1.34
if i put 1.31 my fluke give me 1.33, 1.29=131
i have 4 fluke calibrated with this result the problem is just on the vcore all other voltage is very good

Trust your Fluke. The sensors and digital data translators on the board  are not calibrated high precision instruments, else your board would cost even more.
The components used have tolerances and there is no calibration on each and every single board. Download HWINFO64 and see what that gives you.
You have V check points for a reason. Use them.

  • My Vcore question

so out of nowhere inside my mind i thought about the Vcore in Bios and was wondering how much i can up it without any problems, it was initially set on default which i believe was about 1.500 and i just upped it to 1.700, my processor is an AMD 2100+ XP Thoroughbred and i read a page that they tested it at 1.85v and it crashed during a 3dmark test, i have 3dmark 2005 and i was going to test now to see and compare my results from about 2 or so months ago, i recently bought a new processor fan and some arcticsilver5 and installed and my temp is 7 degrees C lower than my previous heatsink and fan.......any ideas on the Vcore?
also i was wondering, should i had removed the thermal paste the heatsink came with because i cleaned up my processor from the old heatsink past and then applied arctic silver5 to it like the instructions showed and also left the pre-applied thermal grease that my fan/heatsink came with, it is a Roswill RCX-Z100R, way bigger than my other fan lol........any ideas?

ok i cleaned with alcohol and and then applied the thermal grease and cleaned out all my fans and now i am up and running, now for the vcore issue......
ok i had changed it before to 1.700 v and then when i did all the thermal grease work i went into bios and set it back to default H/W and then went back in bios and saw it read 1.80 v and was thinking hmmm something isnt right cause before my default was 1.55-1.60(it ranged between the two) and i restarted exit and saving and leaving the vcore set by H/W and each time it would be ranged between 1.75-1.85 when i checked pc health status in bios and also pc alert 4 in my windows, so i went back to bios and set it to 1.550 v and saved and exit and then back in bios to set it to default set by H/W and now the range is back between 1.55-1.60.......any suggestions on this
i am going to browse a few pages about my chip and vcore but please someone with experience let me know something
also since the thermal grease redo i did my temp is at 40 degrees C just as before and i guess i will be starting the periodic shutdowns for the initial 200 hours as the arcticsilver5 instructions suggests but normally i keep my computer on 24 hours a day

  • I'm raising this question again: IDOC sender info

in an IDOC to file scenario, i m sending an IDOC from a SAP system,
for doing so, i m triggering the IDOC from we19(picking IDOC no. of an already sent IDOC from we05),
Now, in the EDIDC of the IDOC, i give the port/partner no. of the receiver, now the problem is ...what should i give as the sender port/partner no, what is its relevance.......

    yes bhavesh..thanks a ton...really...
that means when i maintain that sender sap system in the SLD, i will use the same name as that SAP system uses to send the IDOC...means the name "SAP"SystemIdClientNo.....
and one more thing, do i need to have a port maintained in the XI to import the IDOC metadata, from the sender SAP system, coz...i have seen in the SXMB moni trace that:
    <Trace level="1" type="T">Get the Metadata for port SAPSD1</Trace>

  • Question about message interface

I developed a jdbc to file scenario, it works, but I'm confused.
I designed a message interface for jdbc outbound,
    CustomerRow
    |--row
         |--CUST_NO
         |--......
I set Document Name = 'resultset' in jdbc sender adapter.
I can see payload in SXMB_MONI.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <resultset>
    - <row>
      <CUST_NO>pp3433</CUST_NO>

      <LAST_UPDATE>2008/11/05 15:24:53:843</LAST_UPDATE>
      </row>
      </resultset>
You noticed that resultset is not 'CustomerRow' in message interface which I defined.
I don't know how it can work.

The parameter Document Name should ideallly contain ur Message Type root name. As u have changed it to 'resultset', it is replaced at the sender adapter and then flow continues.
There are very few occasions when success raises a question

  • Questions on BPM Modelling

Dear BPM experts, I would like to raise few questions and get some guidance from experts working on OBPM for long time...
    1) We have a business process where data is received from external source and has to be evaluated before we could determine if a manual intervention is required to deal with the scenario. 70% of the time, there is no action required by the system.
Hence my questions is, if at the start of a business process, data evaluations are to be done to determine if manual action would be required to handle the process, should that evaluation be done within OBPM or should that be done outside of OBPM?
1a) If to be done within BPM, would it be done using a Global Automatic Activity?
1b) If to be done outside BPM, why?
    2) We have another requirement where a task within a process must be handled by a different user that ealier assigned if specific instance data changes.
Is it possible to reassign a task to a new user based on some business rule either using PAPI API or from within a process?
    3) Is it generally OK to query the status of a process instance and keep it in another application? If not, why?
    4) Is it generally OK to update / close a process instance from an external application? If not, why?
    5) How can an external application obtain a process instance id for JMS messages sent to be referenced later for update/delete the case? Or would that be better handled by exposing the process as synchronous web service.
    6) Is it generally OK to expose a BPM workspace to external users over internet? If not, why?
    7) Can BPM process handle escalations automatically using some in built feature or should they be designed as part of BPM process?
    Many thanks.

    Hi there,
I am certainly not an expert, only started last month but lets hope I can be useful.
2/ Install feature pack. Very easy to do that. You just select "exclude previous participant" and he wont be assigned the task.
7/ When you generate the task form there is an "ACTIONS" menu. Amongst the choices there is "Escalate"
Someone with more experience will have to help you through the rest.

  • IPhoto Question- Library file size is doubling my actual picture folder?

By importing all of my photos from my "pictures" folder into iPhoto, does this take double the space on the hard drive?
In other words would it be just like doubling my picture folder?

    Thanks.
Your answer raises another question. If I delete all my originals, how do I revert to the original after a bad edit, or like situation?
I'm new to Mac so if these sound like stupid questions sorry.
It seems if I delete all the original pictures after an import there would also be no way to export them should, don't hit me! , I go back to a PC. (just an example)

  • XSQL SVG Example questions

The SVG example provided with the XSQL servlet is excellent and illustrates at least 5 different (and very useful) techniques. Congrats to whoever came up with it.
This one example shows SVG, named templates, use of xsl:variable, use of xsl_param, use of xsl:with-param, use of xsl:call-template and the apparent use of java classes from a jar file ala java server pages.
The example also raises several questions:
    1. The example uses two namespace declarations I haven't seen before -
    xmlns:Color="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/java.awt.Color"
    and
    xmlns:Integer="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/java.lang.Integer"
These appear to be allowing the use of Java classes in some jar file similar to the way Java server pages might do it.
It this correct? Is this because these two classes were built-in to the XSQL servlet? What other classes can be used? All of them? From any jar file? Is more documentation available?
    2. What does the 'doctype=system="svg-19990812.dtd"' line do? There is no such DTD on my system but the demo works fine. There are references to DTDs with similar names in the FOP samples and in Adobe's samples but the name is slightly different.
    3. Why is the media-type image/svg? The SVG 1.0 spec dated 2 Nov 2000 in section 1.2 says the SVG mime type is "image/svg+xml".
    4. Why is there no namespace declaration for the svg tag or any of the svg related tags? Samples from other vendors seem to always have a declaration.
Thanks again for a great piece of code.

    Rick,
You'll find a further-refined, and fully-explained version of the SVG example in Chapter 16 of Building Oracle XML Applications. This chapter covers the use of XSLT extension functions and illustrates how to use Java extension functions with the Oracle XSLT engine.
    [list=1]
[*]The two namespaces you list are the way that the Oracle XSLT engine allows you to map extension functions in a namespace to methods of a Java class. This example illustrates using two different built-in classes of the JDK, java.awt.Color and java.lang.Integer. These are not specific to (or built-in in any way to the) XSQL processor or the XSLT engine, but are base classes in the JDK. You can use any Java extension functions in your XSLT stylesheets. The only requirement is that you (1) get the namespace correct to assign a namespace to the appropriate fully-qualified classname, and (2) make sure the classes you want to use are in the CLASSPATH.
[*]The <xsl:output> attribute doctype-system provides a value to be used for the SYSTEM URI of the <!DOCTYPE in the transformed output. The particular value was required by the SVG draft at the time I built the demo. It must be handled by a special entity-resolver built into the SVG Viewer that you're using, which explains why not having on your system as a physical file doesn't stop the demo from working.
[*]The media-type is image/svg instead of image/svg+xml because the SVG demo was built before the final draft of SVG went out. This value was apparently changed in one of the final drafts. It appears that the Adobe SVG viewer registers itself as the handler for both.
[*]See http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG/struct.html#NewDocument. The spec appears to allow both unqualified use of <svg> as well as namespace-qualified <svg:svg> when SVG is embedded within another document.

  • A simple question about Calculation property

    Hello friends at www.oracle.com ,
I tried to create a summary column that sums data from another block, but it has failed - Oracle showed the FRM-30377 error, and it was needed to create a non-database item at the block to be summarized.
This situation has raised one question: if you can't summarize data that comes from another block, why can you choose the block to be summarized at "Summarized block" at Calculation property?
    Thanks, and best regards,
    Franklin Goncalves Jr.

You can summarize data that comes from another block. But the calculated item must be in a block that has its Single Record property set to Yes.
So you can create the calculated item in a control block, set Single Record to Yes for the control block, and use the calculated item to display a sum of data from another block.
