Any of these will work:
Atheros 9485GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and 3012 Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 655795-001
Atheros WB225 802.11b/g/n 1×1 Bluetooth Combo Adapter 675794-001
Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1×1 WiFi and 20702 Bluetooth 4.0
Combo Adapter 657325-001
Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN module 670691-001
The Manual is incorrect in that the part number for the Centrino card is actually the Ralink card:

    Rats.
    I hope the replacement card fixes the problem.  Over the years I have had just one bad network card -- and it drove me nuts tracking down that it was, indeed, a failed card.

  • Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wifi Card - Possible Issues [SOLVED]

    Dear Lucky owners of such a card, At least from my experience I realized it is not that bad card, even if most probably many production pieces were faulty or not working properly, and many issues can be resolved. Let me list in order of time the issues I faced and solved about this wifi card:  0) First issue is not about RT3290 card itself but it is related to 802.11w encryption compatibility in between Windows8 and Cisco not allowing 802.11n speed rates so failing to G speeds only. - SOLUTIONS:   a. As first test I would recommend trying another router from different brand to see if connecting at 802.11n speed rates   b. If you prove point a issue, then try to fix the issue based on following post (in which you can see the reply from myself Emanuele on the 29th of Nov 2014):  https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/113836/windows-8-clients-cant-associate-cisco-unified-wireless 1) Signal strenght issue: original wifi card RT3290 installed on my HP laptop was having really bad antenna, with signal fluctuating and sometimes bad even really close to any Router I tried. - SOLUTION:   Replace the RT3290 card even with same new card.  (In my case as laptop was under warranty, I proved the issue via screenshots and they replaced with new card solving my signal strenght issue).  2) Original issue (1) was actually resolved after HP replaced the wifi card with same model, but with the latest driver installed 5.0.45 seems like wifi rates change too frequently based on high sensitivity of the driver itself, so that suggested me issue was still there, so making me re-testing anything from scratch. - SOLUTION:    Install 5.0.37 Driver - frequent rate changes issue (with driver 5.0.45) disappears and sensitivity of signal to rate changes seems to be a really good compromise to have good throughput.  3) To check out 2nd issue above I started again using a third party software inSSIDer free version to check signal while I was doing speedtest on web.
     - RESOLUTION:
        inSSIDer normally works on Windows7 without any issue but on Windows8 (at least tested with RT3290) I have just discovered somehow this software was slowing down wifi card performance drastically showing a speed up to 0.1Mbps rather than 40Mbps.   Simply closing the application issue was not recurring, so uninstalled it and after solving all the other issues above this card works perfectly (at least so far ) Hope this post will be informative and will help other about-to-get-mad guys as me

    Hye.  After I read up your solutions, I am quite impressive and really want to try out those solutions. However, I am not very computer wise and I really appreciate if you make a video on solving this problem. Up to you if you want to upload it on the youtube (so that others with similar problem can view it and solve the problem too) or you want to direct email to me ( [email protected] ). • HP Pavilion 5500 not detecting any 5G Networks (Jan 2015) [Ralink RT5390R]

    I have resently been having trouble with slow internet. My Desktop PC has stopped working with my wired router and refuses to find my 5G network.
    My connection was getting average scores of 40 Mbps but now im only getting 3-5 Mbps while my phone and laptops are getting 35-40 Mbps. My Desktop is the only thing struggling with the internet and it has a direct ethernet link.
    I resently had a Service Provider technition here to see if it was my router but it is only my pc having issues.
    I have looked around this site for hours looking to find a solution and have tried almost everything but posting my issue directly. My internet was working fine till about 2 weeks ago from 01/04/2015 but dropped speed severly. Now when i try to connect to my router, it appers to only work on 2.4 Ghz, the tech said that it shouldnt matter what network it can see aslong as it is directly connected but its no better than my android.
    OS:
    AMD A8-5500 APU / 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
    BIOS Version:

    Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)

    Hi Alex,
    Please post the HP product number for your PC. How to Find the HP Model Number and the HP Product Number or let HP automatically find your PC model number and HP network attached printers. This will allow others to review your issue, make suggestions and review your responses. This is usually the best way to get assistance.
    I very much doubt that you have a driver issue since your issue is recent.  However,  review the recent updates made to your PC both from Microsoft and HP.  Move your PC close to the wireless router for a test to see if you have an obstruction issue.
    Download Vistumbler to one of your laptops and your PC to verify that your wireless router has both 2.4 ghz and 5.0 ghz service.
    HP may have updated drivers for your PC but since you issue is recent it might very well be that the hardware adapter has failed. Running Windows diagnostics and HP diagnostics including UEFI diagnostics might discover the problem.

  • Dell wireless 1538 802.11 a/g/n adapter

    I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro 5830 and I cannot get an internet connection. When I run the Windows network diagnostics I get the message "The Dell wireless 1538 802.11 a/g/n adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems".
    I have tried everything suggested in the Tablet.  What can I do now? I bought the Tablet through Amazon and I live in Venezuela.

    I have the same EXACT problem for 3 days.Even with my 5 yr computer experience I still couldn't figure this issue out.Dell rep and I found a temp solution.restart......press f8 nonstop....click on repair......restore it to an earlier time....
    this so far is the ONLY thing wev'e tried thats had a temp and pleasing result.let me guess there's a big red x on the bottom right hand corner? also try pressing fn + f2 same time......device manger-right click on dell wireless and disable,then enable.......
    ive had my dell inspiron 5423 for 2 1/2 months off of ebay.still has warranty under owner before me.After tons of research I'm thinking either driver I bad,or hardware or when he installed fresh copy of windows 7,he didn't install everything in the correct order (very important thing to do).
    If by chance you come across a permanent solution please keep me informed.

    I really need Compatible Bluetooth driver for my Notebook PC to run on Windows 8 Enterprise 64 bit.
    (or Any other Bluetooth driver which is compatible with HP Pavilion DV6-6119tx to run on Windows 8 64 bit)

    Hi,
    Did you mean this version?
    Ralink Motorola BC8 Bluetooth HS Adapter
    Version 3
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/ProductDetailsViewer?Type=Software&Name=Ralink+Motorola+BC8+Bluetooth+HS+Adapter&ModelOrVersion=3&Vendor=Motorola&Locale=1031%2C1033%2C1042%2C1043%2C1046%2C2057%2C3081%2C4105%2C16393&LastSearchTerm=Ralink%2BMotorola%2BBluetooth%2B%252bHS%2B%2BAdapter%2B&BreadcrumbPath=Ralink+Motorola+Bluetooth+%2BHS++Adapter+&TempOsid=Windows+8
    According to this site, this version of Bluetooth adapter is compatible with Windows 8, so it's related to driver. Please try to remove the driver in device manager and restart the computer to reinstall to see what's going on.
    Download this driver and install this in compatible mode:

    Last week, i tried setting up hotspot manually using CMD window. But it failed and the system stopped detecting wifi altogether. i tried installing the driver 'Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter' but it shows up 'code 10' error after installing it. Please suggest suitable measures to restore wifi connections.

    Hi: See if this works... Download but don't run this driver... The package contains Broadcom Wireless LAN driver. It is required to enable integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN adapter. File name: sp68301.exe Go to the device manager, right click on the problem Broadcom wireless adapter. Select Uninstall and check the Uninstall Driver box. Reboot and see if installing the driver I posted above installs the device properly.

    Hi, Do you mean 5GHz ? No "qualcomm atheros ar9485 802.11b/g/n " does not support 5GHz, you have to live with this. Many new devices still use 2.4GHz and I think this make take few more years. Regards.

  • File adapter ISO-8859-1 encoding problems in XI 3.0

    We are using the XI 3.0 file adapter and are experiencing some XML encoding troubles.
    A SAP R/3 system is delivering an IDoc outbound. XI picks up the IDoc and converts it to an external defined .xml file. The .xml file is send to a connected ftp-server. At the remote FTP server the file is generating an error, as it is expected to arrive in ISO-8859-1 encoding. The Transfer Mode is set to Binary, File Type Text, and Encoding ISO-8859-1.
    The .xml file is encoded correctly in ISO-8859-1, but the problem is that the XML encoding declaration has the wrong value 'UTF-8'.
    Does anybody know of a work around, to change the encoding declaration to ‘ISO-8859-1’ in the message mapping program?

    An example of the XSL code might be as follow:
    <?xml version='1.0'?>
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:output method='xml' encoding='ISO-8859-1' />
    <xsl:template match="/">
