    Hi @yashagarwal ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion g6-2314ax Notebook and having issues with the Wireless drivers. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system it has built in Wireless troubleshooting assistance.
Here is a link to the troubleshooting the Wireless connection.
Here is a document on Airplane mode.
If Airplane mode is on you cannot use your WiFi and you would see the code 45 not connected, so Airplane mode should off and no Ethernet cable connected for the Wireless troubleshooting.
I hope something listed here helps you.

  • Missing Broadcom Wifi Adapter on Windows 8.1

Last night, I was successfully able to dual-boot Windows 8.1 onto my late 2013 Mac Book Pro with Retina. I made sure to download the latest support software for Windows. No problems there, as far as I know.
However, I am unable to connect to wifi on the Mac Book when running Windows 8.1. The troubleshooter is unable to find any issues, and I have gone into settings to make sure that airplane mode is turned off.
I believe the problem may have something to do with my Network adapters. Following online instructions, I opened up the Device Manager and looked at my Network adapters. Supposedly, I should find a Broadcom wifi adapter here so I can update its drivers, but there is no such adapter in the list. Instead, I just see two Bluetooth Device adapters.
This is really confusing, because wifi works just fine when running OSx on the Mac Book. So I'm guessing I must have some kind of wifi adapter that Windows 8.1 can't seem to locate, or something along those lines.
So, my question is: what should I do if I do not see a wifi adapter in my device manager on Windows 8.1? Do I have the adapter, and it's just invisible because its drivers are out of date, or is there some other issue?
    Thanks in advance!

Ah, that did the trick! Since I plugged the USB flash drive into the D drive, the path for me was:
    This PC/ WININSTALL (D:)/ BootCamp/ Drivers/ Broadcom
This folder had six different .exe's, but since I installed Windows 8.1 64 bit, I ran BroadcomWirelessWin8x64.exe. This installed the driver in just a few seconds, and now the Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter shows up in my Device Manager underneath Network Adapters.
So, if anyone dual-boots Windows onto their Mac Book and can't seem to find the Broadcom wifi adapter in the device manager, don't worry! It isn't missing, it's just not showing up until you run the exe for the drivers it needs.
Thanks turbostar! I really appreciate it.
PS - I meant to click 'this solved my question,' but I accidentally clicked 'this helped me' instead. Sorry about that! First day on the site haha.

  • TS1871 My netgear wifi adapter requires me to push a connect bottom on my router. My apple airport has no connect button. What should I do to connect

My netgear wifi adapter requires me to push connect button on my apple air to install. There is not connect bottom on the airport.  Any suggestions?

If you have a recent Mac.....
Open up Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the AirPort icon, then click Edit in the smaller window that appears
Click the Base Station menu up at the top of the screen
There is a setting for Add WPS Printer there, but it should work for vitually any WPS device
Choose the First Attempt option as a substiture for a button, which the AirPort does not have
If all else fails, then you will need to use the manual connection method suggeted by Netgear, not the WPS method.

  • Wifi adapter in Windows 7 losing wifi connection

    Hi,
a problem occurs while i'm running windows 7 64bit bootcamp on my mpb 13" late 2013.
It's with the broadcom 802.11ac network adapter, driver from bootcamp installation. Even though signal strength varies from 3 to 5 bars, it happens every now and then that i lose connection. Right clicking connection and repairing doesn't work. I can fix it by moving towards my wifi router making signal strength excellent. (this is rather annoying, and should not be necessary)
No such problem in OSX, wifi connection always fine.
Is there some magic setting in device manager (there's a list of parameters that I don't comprehend) with which I can prevent this from happening?
    Cheers

    Hi Axel,
Now that you know your local network works correctly for a computer not connected to internet or intranet, you have to do this:
1- For "No Connection" error (it is not necessary for the sap system to work), it's normal.
Create a local intranet with a 2nd computer if possible and make a configuration for home network after you will see "Connected"
    2-Use of Pc hostname
You must configure the "profile parameters" by using transaction RZ10 and activate services (it's not easy, you have to take your time).
    3- Webdynpro
To see the result of the webdynpro appli, you may know that not all web browser versions are compatible. The recent browsers don't work, use iexplorer8 or mozilla but not google ==> you will solve the problem of "timeout".
    After that:
Activate the "internet communication framework" by using Transaction SICF. It takes you to "Maintain Services" and then fill Hierarchy Type ==>services, execute to reach at this step:
default_host/sap/bc/gui and icf ( If you've installed sap java, you will see both sap and sap_java)
do a mouse right click and select "Activate Service" and choose activate all.
You can now test the sample via web browser by using locahost.
    Best regards.

  • How do I get a 3rd party WiFi adapter to be recognized as default WiFi?

I have a really great USB WiFi adapter that unfortunately does function the same as the PCI-e WiFi adapter. Essentially I have to connect to networks with the software that came with the adapter (which is really good) and I cannot use the status bar WiFi icon. This isn't much of an issue but unfortunately this means that AirDrop does not recognize this device either. I must turn on the PCI-e adapter (which is practically broken) to use AirDrop. Is there a way that I can make my USB adapter (Alfa AWUS036NHR using Realtek RTL8192C chipset) act as an integrated adapter?
    I realize that
    defaults write com.apple.NetworkBrowser BrowseAllInterfaces 1
will get AirDrop to work on all interfaces, but I'm really wondering if I can make Mac accept my adapter as "WiFi" under networks

Something.....a Mac or PC will need to have a 5.x version of AirPort Utility installed on the computer.
Perform a factory default reset on the Time Capsule by powering it off for a few minutes. Then, hold in the reset button first and keep holding for an additional 10-12 seconds while you simultaneously plug the power back into the Time Capsule. Release the reset button after the hold period and allow a full minute for  the Time Capsule to restart to a slow, blinking amber light.
Open up AirPort Utility on the computer, select the Time Capsule and click Manual Setup
Click the Base Station tab below the row of icons to type in a device name and password that you want to use for the Time Capsule, set Time Zone, etc.
Click the Wireless tab next to the Base Station tab
Hold down the option or Alt key while you click on the Wireless Mode setting box
Select the Join a wireless network setting
Select the name of the wireless network
Enter the password for the wireless network
    Verify the password
Click Update to save the settings
Note....everything here assumes that the router that provides the wireless network is using WPA2 Personal security, which is the default setting for the Time Capsule.

How can I connetct internet on my ipad mini (non cellular) without wifi ? is there any wifi adapter available ?

You can not connect to the internet with a WiFi only iPad without WiFi. You can get a mobile hot spot from your carrier but that still connects to the iPad via WiFi and comes with a monthly data plan like a cell phone.

  • Windows 10 wifi adapter problems

Ater installing and upgrading from windows 7 to 10 I couldnt been able to connect to any wifi networks at all on my laptop. When I try updating Ralink RT3290 802.11 bgn wifi adapter it says im running the latest drivers. The adapter is entierly disabled when I try to enable it in the network connections nothing happens.

I think I found something that may help.  Did you have Cisco VPN software installed before you upgraded?  I did, and I think that caused the issue.  Since I rolled back, I won't know for sure.  I'm going to do a fresh install of Windows 10 this afternoon and see if wireless works.   See these posts: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Wireless-Internet-Home-Networking/No-WiFi-adapter-found-after-windows-10-upgrade/td-p/5170831 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfpro-surfusingwin10/no-wireless-device-after-upgrading-surface-pro-to/79b27611-d00a-4482-aa03-117abd0f51fb

  • Problems sharing wifi adapter with host - Windows 8.1

    Hi All,
I'm having a frustrating problem with Hyper-V which is basically making it unusable on my laptop. I can't get the wifi adapter to work reliably for the guest, when it's also shared by the host.
What I've done is create a external adapter connected to my wifi card (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030), and checked "Allow management operating system to share this network adapter".
The guest can connect to this, but the connection constantly drops in and out. By constant I mean it could be dropping and reconnecting a couple of times a second. This only happens when I share the adapter with the host. If I turn that off, then the guest
    gets a reliable connection.
This only happens with the wifi. If I'm connected to the wired adapter (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller), then I can share the adapter between the guest and host just fine.
I'm assuming this means there's some kind of conflict between the host and the guest for the wifi adapter. I'm guessing that whenever the host transmits or receives anything that this then must be taking priority and the guest VM gets kicked off momentarily,
only to try to reconnect again straight away.
I'm wondering if this is a fundamental hardware incompatibility with my wifi card, or if there might be some setting I can change, or protocol I can enable to get it to work properly?

    Hi Eugene,

If the host and VM are getting IP address from DHCP server , you will see the host and VM are tring to get same IP address .
As a workaround please set static IP addresses for all VMs connecting to that external virtual switch  .
Also you can use ICS to share the wireless NIC to VMs , it was explained within following article :
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/virtual_pc_guy/archive/2008/01/09/using-hyper-v-with-a-wireless-network-adapter.aspx
(In addition to this article , the IP address of that "internal virtual switch" should be same as the VMs' gateway )

  • No WiFi adapter found after windows 10 upgrade

Yesterday I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 but after the upgradation the WiFi does not works. There was no WiFi adapter found and the same goes for Bluetooth. Please assist from where can these drivers be downloaded

I had no wireless after updating my Pavilion DM4 3002ea to Windows 10 Home 64bit. None of the solutions on here worked for me but I stumbled across the solution when I'd given up and decided to re-install Windows 7. I think the problem arises when you instal Windows 10 without the wireless adapter being switched on so ...  1. Set the BIOS to boot from CD/DVD first2. Boot from Windows installation DVD and once it loads to the installation screen I found I could switch the wireless adapter on.3. Once the wireless adapter is switched on remove the Windows installation DVD from the drive and boot as normal to Windows 10 and "hopefully" you will be able to switch off Flight mode and input your wireless network details

  • Windows 7 wifi-adapter problem

So i've worked with win7 as bootcamp on my mac for quite awhile.. not without failures. First win7 killed my battery, it's completely dead now.
And since two or three days I can't get my wifi adapter to work anymore.
Tried reinstalling the drivers and all but nothing will get the wifi adapter to work on the windows side anymore...
It's really annoying. Any ideas? If not I guess i'll have to reinstall windows..

Using your Windows 7 Ultimate DVD, boot from the DVD to run setup.  Select the option to delete all existing partitions from the hard drive, then remove the DVD from your DVD drive and turn off your laptop.
