Random Audio Beeps on W530

Hey guys,
So I just got a W530 and I've been having random beeps from it. Every now and again, the computer will make a beep from both speakers or through the headphone port. It kinda sounds like a BIOS beep, but I'm not completely sure if it is the same or not. I've tried reinstalling the Realtek audio drivers and reinstalling Windows but am still having it.
I can't find a way to reproduce it, I've heard it during youtube videos or playing games on Steam.
Any suggestions?

I suppose it's a bit of an afterthought.
Sometimes the keyboard will beep at you when you jam it (press certain combinations of keys at the same time), and it's more annoying than anything else. The only recourse is to disable keyboard beeps or ask Lenovo to put in an NKRO keyboard.
There's also the power beep, which has no other purpose than to notify you that the power cord has been plugged in or unplugged. Can't remember what the two other ones are off the top of my head, though.

  • How can I stop random audio advertising files from playing?

Recently, my Macbook Pro has been playing random audio files.  They are mostly advertisments about mucus medicine and news clips about soccer.  Yesterday, I discovered that when I quit Safari, the audio stops.  Today the problem is back again.  What can I do to get rid of these annoying ads?

    Safari > Preferences > Security
Make sure that "Block pop-up windows" is enabled.
    Temporarily disable the plug-ins
Safari >  Preferences > Security > Web content:  Enable plug-ins
If the audio is from Flash based ads it should stop.
    Re-enable that feature later.
    Best.

  • Random audio file playing

Hi!  I've been having random audio files playing on my RAZR.  It sounds like a video that automatically starts playing on websites.  However, I'm not on the browser, have windows open, or even using the phone.  I unlock the phone and there's nothing in the notification bar.  No apps are open on the home screen.
My Alarm Clock Plus app will sometimes play an alarm after I've turned it off.  Because there's nothing in the notification bar to stop the music, I have to shut down my phone to stop it.  This may be an app bug but has anyone had random audio files playing?

        Hi Es80
It sounds like that phone is possessed! Let's get this fixed! It sounds like it may be an application error. Please power the device on in safe mode and retest. Here's how:http://bit.ly/QfA8MZ
Please let me know if the issues persists.

  • X-Fi Xtreme Audio [Windows 7] Random Audio Glitches

Hi I have Windows 7 and a PCI X-Fi Xtreme Audio sound card. (Not PCI-E). My problem is I get random audio glitches when listening to music or playing a game. No card I have had before had this problem. My computer is fast enough and I have the latest Windows 7 X-Fi Xtreme Audio driver installed. So what might be causing this?

#Did this happen right after you install the sound card new or did this happen out of the blue?
Sorry I don't have any further suggestion at this point, you might want to contact Customer Support to see how they can help you further.

  • Print-To-Video audio beeps

I'm printing a sequence to tape and all is going fine until, at one spot, I hear a few seconds of audio beeps. It's similiar to when audio tracks aren't rendered.
I went back to my sequence, but there's nothing there to be rendered. I play through the sequence and there're no audio beeps.
Any idea why this would occur when I do a print-to-video?
    Thanks.

How many audio playback real-time tracks are set in User Preferences, and how many tracks are there at that point in the sequence?
Try adding a couple or four tracks in User Preferecnes and see if that squares it away.

  • Random Audio Signal

I haven't seen anyone else with this particular issue on the forum yet and I dont know if this is specifically a Snow Leopard issue, but ever since I got my new 27" iMac a couple of weeks ago, a random audio signal seems to be creeping up and playing on my computer for no apparent reason. I have closed all applications in an attempt to kill it, but the signal continues to play. It comes in the form of various things, sometimes it sounds like an audio clip from a sports movie, or a rap and hip-hop radio station, or a short commercial, or an indy rock song. These alternate over the course of a few minutes, then the signal fades away only to return a few minutes later and start all over again. I hadn't heard it for a a week or so so I thought the issue had been resolved, but it returned last night and continued through this morning. I thought maybe I was picking up on someone else's bluetooth device signal and receiving whatever it was they were listening to at first, but if I attempted to make my computer "undiscoverable" Ill lose the ability to use my mouse and keyboard... Any one have an idea what could be going on and what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

I hadn't thought of moving the computer. The TV receiver is pretty close by I guess, but ironically, we don't get much reception through it. I have my PC set up right next to the iMac, and I used to use this work station the majority of the time with my MBP without ever picking up any kind of signal. Im pretty sure theres no radio station anywhere nearby, unless some kid is running one out of his bedroom next door or something. Interestingly, I haven't heard it since I first posted this, but Im anticipating its return any time... It doesn't bother me as much as it does my wife. It seems to happen when Im not around and she's working on the computer (conveniently), but its usually still going on when I get home. I was unaware of any radio receiver built into the computer, is there a way to turn it off, or temporarily disable it? Thanks everyone.

  • Random audio playing on iTunes

Every time I open iTunes and start to play music, random audio will start to play. Today it was audio from a commercial for computers. I've also heard wacky chinese lessons. I cannot figure out where this audio is coming from. It does eventually stop after a couple minutes but it is really annoying when I'm trying to listen to music. Has this happened to anyone else and is there anything I can do to stop it?

Just curious, are these 'spooky toons' playing in the background of the song you were clicking on?, or do the play instead of the file you were clicking on?.
    What other programs are open?
Are your computer connected to a local in house network together with other computers?.

    Hello Achates:
I did not read the rather long post. If you wish to reinstall OS X 10.4, use your software install DVD. Backup is essential. To minimize your risk, I would use an archive and install:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
In that way, you will have a fresh copy of OS X and your current settings will be preserved.
Incidentally, I do not agree that the printer problem is best solved by reinstalling OS X. I have had HP printers for sometime and, on one occasion, had difficulty after an upgrade. HP technical support walked me through uninstalling all traces of the HP driver and then reinstalling.

  • Random Audio Clips Appear

I have several transitions between a still clip and and movie clip. At the end of each still clip, right before the transition, a random audio clip plays for a second. The volume on everything is turned off. I can not figure out where this is coming from or what to do to get ride of it. Help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Sue,
When I carry out an insert edit i.e. paste over at playhead ( not using transitions or titles), and delete the audio track not needed, a short audio track still appears at the in edit point even though the audio track has been completed deleted. Any sugestions how to fix this?
    Regards
    Mike

  • IMovie9 places random audio when exporting!

I have a problem that seems absurd. Forgive me for not being too technically inclined.
I have spent countless hours editing a movie with music overlaid as well as audio grabs moved etc. It looks great on screen - usually.
Sometimes when played back it loses some of the original sound. If I go to the audio of that clip and basically do nothing but check it and hit 'done', it returns.
More confusing is when I export. I have tried exporting to iDVD and Toast to put it on DVD and for some reason it places random audio. There will be a car scene with music that I placed and suddenly there will be voices or waves crashing from a totally different source. There is no evidence of this audio when I check the project.
Another problem is that it refuses to remove audio when I have reduced the volume to zero, for example when I have fast motion and don't wish to hear the squealing sound. My only solution is to detach the audio and delete it. This is a problem that is frustrating but can work around. The first issue is my main issue as it makes all my efforts worthless.
The management of the audio seems quite random and uncontrollable during export.
Does anyone have any ideas or experiences
    Thankyou

Of course that's always the way
As soon as I posted the question I found the possible answer.
Speed changes not on the marks like 200% or 400% cause the problem. I have many at 80%. Exactly where I want it and if I change to 50% (looks crap) or 100% (kinda pointless) it will stuff up my timing completely.
Wonderful. Starting to dislike iMovie. hmm

  • Creating multiple audio beeps without multiple layers

I have a animation that need the same tones(audio beeps) about 10+. It's user guide for a keypad lock. I've been fine using action script, but I would like to use the time line (much easier). Is their a way to repeat the same audio in the time line on the same layer (please, if it involves any form of scripting down't bother with a reply).

    Hi stijill,
Not sure I fully understand - if you're using triggers and it's working as-is, then is your problem solved?
It is possible to play audio in the timeline without using any scripting: add Play From playback actions to the audio's timeline track at the desired times.

  • How do I correct random audio pops in Premiere Elements 13?

Please help me with this audio issue! I hear occasional pops (skipped words, not smooth narration) in my edit. I shot the footage with a Rode video mic, but have not had this problem with this microphone before, and furthermore the pops appear not on the same marks every time, so it is not embedded in the original footage and therefore I conclude that the original audio quality is fine. At first I thought it was a yet-to-render issue, but after rendering it (while editing), and ALSO after publishing it to my computer to watch a version there, I still here random pops. Once I published it to my computer, the pops were stuck to specific points in the edit, but this is not so when I watch my edit in Elements, the pops are always in different places, and often will not be there when I roll back to try to immediately listen again for a just-heard pop.
Can anyone help with this? How can I smooth out my audio?

    Hi Steve,
    Thanks for getting back
I used a Samsung SMX-F40BP/XEU "Handycam" recording from the the image projected on to a screen. This produced mp4 video files on an SD Card, H.264/AVC Format with AAC Audio
I then dragged and dropped the raw video files on to the PC hard drive, and added the folder to the Adobe Organizer.
    When creating the projects I
    1)     Create a a New Project PAL Standard DV 48KHz to match the 4:3 aspect ratio of the original film
    2)     Drag the video/clip I intend to work with from the organizer window in to the work are of Adobe Premiere Elements 11.
When I was originally doing this yesterday for the first 15 clips, when added to the timeline, the video clips appeared as 1 contiguous clip as in the first image i posted.
When i went to work today I noticed that when i dragged a clip from the organiser to the work area, the video took longer to appear on the timeline, I could see the progress as it was added, with lines appearing where scenes/splits are being automatically added as in the second image I posted.
I noticed first thing that the clips were appearing in the organiser window with different icons, and in some cases I could expand the clips to see all scenes that had apparently been generated automatically. All clips in the orgnaiser now appear with the same icon, and are all expandable.
If i now create a new project and use one of the original clips that originally appeared as 1 contiguous clip on the timeline, it is now split automatically, as with the later clips.

  • Windows 7 64bit on MacPro (2008) Freezes randomly - audio in skype.

    MacPro 2008 -
    2x8800GT.
    4 hard drives
    10.6.2
    Windows 7 (seperate Drive)
I am having these problems - I have noticed similar problem thoughout the forum and the web but not exactly the same and wondering if anyone has any ideas. I initially thought it could be a power problem - but surely the power pack can handle the above... Or possibly dodgy hard drive? (but it sounds fine...)
What is the power rating on the mac pros ( I read 1000W max somewhere!? )
    List of issues.
    1. Totally Random Freezes. Can happen any time. lots open or nothing open. Complete freeze - no mouse. no Ctrlalrdel - have to hard reboot. Oddly sound still plays fine - streaming or itunes for example
    2. Mouse Freezes - up to 2 mins then comes back to life
    3. Audio does not work in Skype. Speakers or the microphone through a logitech webcam... they work fine in windows ( the gain bars show up fine )
    Some abstraction layer problem?
