Random Audio Render--deleted audio reappearing

When I adjust audio (i.e. change levels, in and out points, effects) on a section of audio that has already been rendered it oftentimes will not adjustment appropriately. It is like FCP uses the old rendered audio information and mashes it with the new. Sometimes the results are random bits of audio that pop in where they are not supposed to be--sometimes I have deleted the audio files from all tracks entirely and FCP still plays the audio like it is there.
I have had this problem for quite a while. I've deleted every render file on my computer, started new sequences, etc. This is clearly a bug--anyone found a fix?

maybe it has something to do with checking the render menu audio selections (for playback) or (item level)?

  • Premier CC Audio Render (and/or export) causing crash.

Hello, I'm pulling my hair out with a rather large project.
Rendering Audio, exporting audio or exporting audio in Media Encoder ALL crashes my project.
The sequence has one aiff of voice on top of one aiff of music with no filters other than normalise gain to 0.
I've unistalled Soundflower, emptied my cache and deleted old render files.
Please give me some suggestions as I definitely can't rebuild this project in CS6 or FCP.
    Thanks, Ian.

  • Audio won't play after audio render

I have an MP3 on audio track 1 in Premiere/CS4, placed underneath video clips which I've unlinked from the audio and deleted/cleared those unlinked audio files.  The MP3 file plays fine until I render the timeline and then it stops playing.  If I 'double click' the file (placing it back in the source window) it plays fine there, but won't play in the timeline.  I've included the file properties below.  Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and what I can do to fix the problem?
    Type: MP3 Audio
    File Size: 4.2 MB
Source Audio Format: 44100 Hz - compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 44100 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
    Total Duration: 00:03:03:32868
Average Data Rate: 23 KB / second

I could do a MP3 to WAV conversion, but that defeats the
purpose of storing my (growing) music library in MP3 for space conservation.
I understand the space problem. Only do this for files that you are using as Assets, Imported into PrPro, if they give you a problem.
Seems I'm finding I have to do a lot of 'work arounds' with CS4.
Well, it does seem that you are not alone on this one. However, my problem came with PrPro 2.0. In my case, it only happened once, but did affect about a dozen Audio files in several Sequences. Did not realize the magnitude of my issue, and only observed it after a busy day of trying to Keyframe some Effects and doing multiple Renders to check things out. One moment all Audio in that section was playing well - next moment (after one more Render) dead. Others, who replied to my thread indicated that it had happened to them too, in similar circumstances. Trouble was, none of us could duplicate it and some had this happen on their first Render, while I'd probably done a dozen that morning. Have never had it happen again, and finished that Project with hundreds more Renders, just like I'd done, with not one problem. I certainly can not call it a Bug, as there was no way for anyone to reproduce it. Still, whatever allows it to happen, under the right (or wrong) circumstances seems to be around two generations later. Hey, phases of the Moon?
Good luck, and let's hope that neither of us sees this behavior again,

  • How to Delete Audio Permanently ?  Logic or Peak

hi, when you double-click an audio region in the arrange, it's opens for
editing. You delete some audio, save. Close the Logic file. Quit Logic.
BUT you could later get the audio back by start logic, open that song,
open the audio editor and choose "undo" and like magice the previously
    deleted audio reappears.
I want it gone, forever, unrecoverable.
I've deleted the "LogicSampleUndo" files, i've Emptied the Trash per
page 90 of the ref manual.
What do I have to do to actually, really, finally delete this audio ?
I've had to open the audio i peak and do the delete, then save, then logic can't bring it back
but I'd like to just use Logic.

    thank you for the reply,
    but,
I meant that I want to delete a "protion" of an audio file. This is why I use Logic's sample editor.
Example, a voice dialog that lasts 8 bars. I was to delete, permanantly, the last 2 bars.
Normally, I would open the audio file in the sample editor, select the last 2 bars and hit
the delete key, Logic will show that it's "moving samples" and will warn that I am about to
delete. I hit yes, or delete and the waveform display updates to show that the last 2 bars
    are deleted.
But under undo I can aways get the last 2 bars back. I want to NEVER get them back.
    Empty the Logic trash?
    Kill the undo?
    What hidden file?

  • Audio Render

Am I to understand that it is safe to delete audio render and render files? This will not cause a problem when I go to re-open the project? Just want to be sure.
    Thanks.

Assuming all your original media is still in place, the only "problem" you'll experience is the need to re-create the render files as part of further work on the project.

  • Unbelievably slow audio render times!

I've been dealing with his for a while now on this documentary I've been working on. When I export my timeline which is right around an hour, it takes around 2 HOURS just to render audio previews before it will export! The bulk of my timeline is a single track with no effects at all. Video renders faster than the audio! The only thing unusual about my project is it is largely composed of longish multi-cam sequences - about 30 sequences ranging from 30 mins to 90 mins. It's appears PP is rendering audio for every bit of my source sequences even though only a few seconds or minutes of each one is actually being used. I don't know what else could be happening.
I was thinking that since some of the audio was recorded at 44.1K maybe that was a problem and some of the sequences had several tracks of audio so to solve this I went through every sequence and rendered out a stereo mix at 48/16 and deleted the old audio. That seemed to help for a while as with CS6 I was getting a very annoying "rendering required audio files" message every time I hit play until I rendered the audio which as I said takes a really long time. Also I can render this but if I close Premiere and re-open I have to render it all over again. It is not keeping the audio render files. Premiere CC is better about playing back without the render message but it still needs to render for export. I have no idea why it would need to render audio from 48/16 source files.
I have reported this to Adobe but just thought I'd put this here to see if anybody else is having issues. If any audio rendering should ever be required in this day and age it should be extremely fast. This problem has really brought exporting to a crawl for this project.
Adobe CC, OSX 10.8.4 on a 12 core Mac Pro with a GTX 570 32GB ram, and BM Studio. My RAID is a 3 disk internal raid with 3 3TB disks in RAID 0. The video renders reload properly. The situation would be better if the audio renders reloaded at least but why it needs to render "audio previews" for such simple audio is beyond me. And as I mentioned I went through quite a bit of trouble to make it as easy on Premiere as possible by replacing all of the 44.1 audio with 48/16 wavs.

Let me start by saying I am only a hobbyist and do this more for my son and niece since they are musicians and play live in a number of venues.  I am not an electrical or audio engineer (I am an aeronautical engineer) so what I am about to say is based only on what seems logical to me…  First rendering audio should simply be faster than rendering video given the amount of digital data that needs to be processed.  That stated, I know that the Mercury engine using CUDA to process video vastly speeds the rendering of video.  Regardless, using today’s CPUs (i7 3930K in my case) should and does more than make up for the additional processing power for rendering video using CUDA.
It seems to me that there is a bigger problem than whether or not we are flattening, nesting or locking our tracks.  It shouldn’t take as long as it is taking for some of us to render audio!!!
I only experienced this problem one time.  I am not even sure what I did to change the outcome on the same project that I have since edited and rendered many times.  But now the audio renders very quickly (less than a minute).  I will say that in almost all cases my music videos have different audio sources (44.1KHz, 48KHz 16bit, 48KHz 24bit, and 96KHz 24bit) and that I set all my sequences to 96KHz since my master audio sources are recorded at that.  I use an external firewire RME Fireface 800 using RME ASIO divers to handle all audio.  I do find that this setup can be stubborn in that there are times PPro CC doesn’t know what to do regarding my audio so simply won’t allow me to play any track.  When this happens I simply remind PPro CC of my settings by going to Edit/Preferences/Audio Hardware then check that the Adobe Desktop Audio is set to ASIO FireFace and click on ASIO Settings to check that the buffer size and sample rate are correct.  If they are not I read the flash from the RME and all is good.
But I diverge, there is a problem Adobe and it needs to be fixed.  This never happened to me using CS6…

  • Deleting audio file on device + Mac once and for all

Deleting audio file on device + Mac once and for all
    Hi and good day,
I don't listen much to music, but mostly audio files (radio programmes etc.)
But there is still one big drawback with iTunes:
What I want to do is to be able to __delete__ an audio file (or song)
on my iPad/iPod/iPhone (the Mac Library is there via Home Sharing)
    once and for all:
I don't want to have to go back to iTunes and delete them there.
I want to delete them on the device and forget about them!
    Please Apple it's about time.
    Any suggestions welcome!

  • When i'm watching a show or movie on iTunes, the video will randomly freeze and the audio will continue, the video catches up after awhile, but it does it again. This happens to all my shows, and I downloaded them from iTunes. Why is this happening?

Whenever I try to watch movies on iTunes on my computer, the video will randomly freeze, but the audio will continue. This happens will all of my shows, however this never happens on my iPod or iPad. Whenever I want to watch a new movie I buy or any of my shows this problem keeps happening. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it did not work. Why does this problem keep happening, and how can I fix it? Thank you.

  • 30 Second Audio Render problem in Adobe Media Encoder?

I've been trying a few things out to fix this, but no luck.
Ok, so I export videos with a audio spectrums where audio would be necessary. Now I want to do this all in After Effects without editing the Audio in in Premiere Pro. After Effects does not render in H.264. So I send it Adobe Media Encoder. When I export to AME, the first 30 seconds is mute, without fail. only on AME though. I can export straight through AE with .mov and it works fine. but I don't like doing that with the large filesize. I also did this with WebM. Audio does not export for 30 seconds on AME.
I like to send everything to AME. So if I have to go to premiere to fix audio I will. so after fixing everything I send it over to AME and let it export. for some reason, it WILL give me audio. Is there something wrong with my settings in AE or AME?
Everything is CC if that helps any

    OK, give this a shot.

I have adobe Premiere Elements 13. It will not let me delete audio or have it fade in or out. I can move the yellow line all the way down till the volume reads -0.0, but the sound is still there on playback. Thanks for the reply. Great news about the volume adjusts.
Now about those fades for the volume. How are you doing that?
    1. Right click the Timeline video audio and select Fade and then
see the Fade options (I had a video with audio file, so I saw the choices as shown in the screenshot)
    2. You can also create two volume keyframes at each end of the Timeline audio clip rubberband (orange line that goes horizontally across the middle of the audio clip). At the position of the Timeline Indicator, click the Add/Remove Keyframe icon, and then with the mouse cursor position the white dots (volume keyframes) to achieve the Fade In and Fade Out audio. In the screenshot below I have moved the Timeline Indicator so that you could better see the white dots (volume keyframes).
Please let us know if any of the above works for you with regard to the audio fades.
    Thank you.

  • How can I reinsert the deleted audio from clips in my sequence?

How can I reinsert the deleted audio from clips in my sequence?

I can tell you a work around to get you going in the meantime, just may be time consuming if you have a lot of clips in the timeline.
double click a clip missing audio
press the go to in point and copy the timecode to notepad
press the go to end point and copy timecode
right click clip, and reveal in project
double click the original in project
paste in timecode and set in & out points again
    drag audio
As I said not the quickest way, but it works, and won't actually take as long as you'd think, 30 secs or so per clip, i just hope you don't have over 100 clips without audio

  • Relinking Deleted Audio to Clips

Is there a way to relink deleted audio from clips that were unlinked from their audio tracks that were then deleted? so basically, if I have a clip, cut it and edit it, unlink the video and audio, delete the audio, and then later want to have the audio again. One way would be to drag in the clip, align it with the old clip, copy all edits and delete the old clip, but I have a lot of clips. I thought one option would be to open the .prproj file in a text editor and change it there, as this has saved me hours of work on other applications. Can't find any info though on the file structure, and I could spend the better part of 2 weeks hunting this one down. If anyone has a fix, I would very much appreciate it. And Alt-dragging the source clip from the bin onto the old clip does not bring in the audio.
    Thanks

There's no 'easy' way to do this.  That's why it's best to never delete the audio from clips.  Mute the track if you have to, but leave the clip in tact.

  • Forced to render same audio every time I export

My source material is all synced with audio in 8 timelines ranging from 45 min to 4 hours and I am editing from those, nesting into new working timelines. These original sequences need to be rerendered nearly every time I am working, even though I haven't made any changes.
If I try to export from a new timeline that includes bits of these nested sequences, the audio render gets held up indefinitely. It seems that to export any small clip, I need to open up all the original source timelines and rerender their audio individually, then render the working sequence. This takes up a huge amount of time and is really killing me.
Does anyone have any ideas why I would need to continually render the audio from these original sequences even though I am not making changes, or have any ideas of somework around?
Please let me know what else I can tell you!

Thank you for your reply regardless!!!
I found a years old thread that had a similar problem and the initial writer said he fixed it by unchecking the "save media cache files next to originals when possible" option in media preferences (although subsequent visitors to the thread were not helped by this fix). I did check that otion when setting up the project so I decided it's worth a try and I have today and tomorrow as buffer if all goes wrong. I unchecked it and changed the path for my media cache files and database. I waited through reconforming and had to render my avchd files again. The very weird thing is now the program is acting like all my MXF footage needs to be rendered when it never has been neccessary before. Do you have any idea about that?
I still don't know if changing the media cache location and unchecking that option will solve my originial problem, but we'll see; it's the only potential I've found!

  • How do I delete audio when there's no clip to click on?

I have made several movies, however, the latest one has an issue. There is audio which plays at the end of my movie, but no visible clip (video or audio) for me to right click and delete.  It is like the clip is missing, yet audio plays for five or six seconds, not tied to any video.  I cannot highlight the audio to delete (there's no frame showing even), and I can't lower the volume level there either.  I think there is a bug in the latest upgrade of Premier Elements.  Any ideas?  Or do I have to start all over creating my movie?
