Random beep

This is my fifth replacement HP notebook pavilion 15 15-p157na , i know of 2 others with the same issue , All 7 have little more than the basic operating systems installed i have tried everything , it can be twice in 10 mins or once in 2 hours , it is not wi-fi as i hard wired it , i have dis connected from the net and just used solitaire and it made no difference , can anyone please shine some light onto this issue otherwise this will be going back for a   as it is only 5 days old and under the 21day exchange or refund time period , but i would much prefer to keep it and know it is not going to stop working a few weeks later . thanks g

Thank you for your inquiry.
I understand that your computer will randomly beep.  You have exchanged the notebook and this is the fifth replacement with the same issue.
I am not sure if this occured at start up or not but here is a link that may help.

If this  has not helped I recommend contacting HP technical support for assistance.  Please explain your situation and the fact that this has occurred on all your replacements.

    Seems to be this song. Other projects don't have this issue.
    I even took and opened the project on another computer, bounced it again and got the same "click" at the same 13 second area.
    I've bounced each track solo, listened and NO click at the 13 sec. mark
    No third party plug-ins.
    The click doesn't land close to any beginning or end of a region.
    Final mix down looks good, no peaking over 0db.
    This is making me nuts!

  • Iphone randomly beeps

    Hi all,
    HELP!!! My iphone keeps randomly beeping/vibrating (if it's on silent). It's like I have a new message, but I DON'T have one. It's not a calendar alert, or an alarm, or a new sms, new voicemail, new email, new anything. It is just randomly beeping. There is no standard interval, it can beep every minute or every 5 minutes, reset, power-off... and it beeps as soon as it starts back up. It isn't jumping on and off the wi-fi or edge, I'm at home and haven't moved and it still beeps. I restored my phone and it stopped... for about a day, now it's back at it and worse than ever!
    This is really irritating. I googled and found a message about a similar problem that no one ever posted a solution to; I'm hoping I can find one here.

    I thought it was just me but now and then mine does the same. Mine is not bad though and only a few times a day but when I go to look nothing is there, no notifications, sms, emails, etc....

  • Random beeps/tones while talking on iPhone (3Gs)?

    Has anyone else noticed the iPhone 3Gs (my model) making random beeps or tones while talking? It appears to be when your wireless is enabled on the phone. As soon as wireless is disabled, these beeps during a phone call go away. This issue appeared during iOS 6.0.1 update.
    The beeps occur at any time and are not part of a minute beep, notificiation beep, or any other type of iOS function. The phone was fully restored to factory and apps were added. The method to "get rid" of the beeps is to disable wifi and it appears to dissapear.
    Anyone at Apple care to shed light on their Q/A process?

    My girlfriend's iphone 4s does this to me all the time. Not only do I hear it on my iphone 5, but also my house phone. I'm guessing it's her phone or Sprint.

  • My Nano Randomly Beeped (twice...)

    My first generation black 2GB nano randomly beeped twice in a week, while playing music. The beep is not in the music. The iPod wasn't charging or connected to the computer, just playing the music. The first time it beeped, it was playing through speakers, and the second time, I was listening through earbuds and playing Brick.
    Anyone know why this happened? It's not a big issue, I'm just wondering. Nothing else is wrong with the iPod except for a dead pixel, which I don't care about.

    My best guess - have a look at your Alarm
    settings...maybe one is set and is going off.
    I checked..the alarm wasn't on, and it wasn't the two-tone alarm beep. It was one note, just for a second.
    Also, when I said nothing else was wrong with it, I lied. Actually I didn't lie, I forgot that sometimes when I play a song, it will just cycle through all the songs without playing them, i.e. the information will come up for half a second, then onto the next song. And so on until it runs out of songs.
    I suppose I'll try a full restore... That was my last resort...

  • Random beeping noises

    I have seemed to find lately that my computer randomly beeps, every 10 or so seconds, the sound, sounds like the alert sound when you make an error, or when a window pops-up asking you to do something....I don't know how to fix this, i've looked in my sound preferences and can't see anywhere i've ticked, and I've run disk permissions and that didn't help either, please help!!!

  • Random Beeping

    While my machine is running I get random beeping. It's lot really random but it's a long pattern, too complex to explain but first there is a beep, then 10 secs later another beep, and then it waits a while and then the beeps start to change tones and such. I've never had this before and my system seems to be running fine other than a few lag problems i recently noticed. Today I just added a stick of ram and a new HD, the ram seems fine, windows recognizes it and the hard drive has given me no problems. Any thoughts on what this weird and very annoying beeping symbolizes?

    do you have cpu temp warning enabled i  bios ?
    i got random beeps on my board when bios reported a cpu temp oF 43 celsius and warning was set to 50celsius.
    it was on a k7n2 board.
    and glennvidia is right.
    without specs or a signature its not much we can do as we dont have any crystal balls or mind reading capabilities
    make a signature with all you got.
    you can take mine and glennvidia as 2 good examples.

  • G510 Random beeps

    Hi everyone,
    I've only had this laptop for 3 weeks and so far the battery is almost hanging out and now it has started to make a random beep every now and then.
    Open or closed, plug in or on battery, idle or surfing it makes no difference. It only makes one single beep and could be within minutes of each other or hours. 
    Anyone got any idea why this is happening?

    I’m sorry to hear that your G510 Laptop is generating Random Beeps each and every time, I suggest you to perform the Flee-Power and check if the issue persists. Below are the steps to check the issue:
    Remove the battery and any other peripheral device connected to the computer.
    Hold the power button for 10-15 seconds and then connect only the AC Adapter and try to turn ON the computer.
    Do post us back if the issue still persists.

  • X6 random beeping / bleeping

    Hi
    I have a new X6 16gb on the UK O2 network.
    Every so often the phone beeps / bleeps, like a warning beep.
    Nothing is displayed on the screen, it doesn't even light up.
    It's not asking for any user input, it just beeps / bleeps.
    This is really annoying as no matter what I've done I can't get it to stop.
    There is no pattern to beeps / bleeps, it's just every so often! Including the middle of the night!!!
    Anyone any ideas?!
    If I can't resolve I'll have to get rid of it and get another phone (not a Nokia!).

    Hi CAG2, I've been havin precisely the same problem on my N73 for the last couple months or so! Every now and then, out of nowhere there's this eerie random beep like when a SMS comes in or any notification is displayed. However, there's never any notification, nor does the phone backlight or keypad light up and when I check the screen there's absolutely nothing! I've become real apprehensive that my phone miht be gettin hacked into or something! It's also been doin some more weird things in the past few weeks! Some days back, the N73 automatically reset the wall paper n theme n jst froze! I had to take off the battery to switch it off! After i finally restarted (it had also reset the date n time), it was showing that the phone's charging even though no charger was connected to the phone! After a great deal of time, I finally managed to restore the wallpaper, theme etc. However, I was really shocked by this incident! Last week, the phone automatically went into default white start up screen with the blue Nokia logo, even tho the keypad was locked and then it came back to the wallpaper without even prompting for my PIN code or lock code I find all these things really disturbing and I'm perplexed what to do! Would be really grateful for some definite answers! Thanks in anticipation!

    my ipod mini will randomly beep at me even when i'm not using it. when i look at it, no messages or error icons come up... it annoys me so much as i don't know what it is?!?!
    Does anyone have any idea why it's doing this?

    Is the alarm on?
    Go to EXTRAS > CLOCK > ALARM CLOCK and make sure it's OFF.
    Also check the calendar alarm;
    EXTRAS > CALENDAR > ALARMS > OFF

  • My iMac recently started making random beeping noises. They are all different pitches and lengths. Nothing like a notification. Also does it with the sound muted. I've deleted Skype (several people recommended that) and restarted & shutdown. Please help!

    This has been going on for a few months and seems to be getting worse. At times it will be frequent, other times only a few random beeps an hour. Seems to be worse when something is loading or "thinking". I have a video of the beeping sounds I will upload when I get home as it won't let me do it here at work. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, it is driving me crazy! I'm also worried it will crash on me.

    Beeps on startup:
    1 beep = no RAM installed
    2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
    3 beeps = no good banks
    4 beeps = no good boot images.
    5 beeps = processor is not usable

  • T410 HDD Stop And Random Beep Issue

    Hi All!
    I have an "extra" problem with my T410, above the palmrest issue.
    I bought my laptop about 2 months ago, and it randomly makes a clicking noise, "stops" the HDD for about one second, and right after that, it beeps one time. I think the beep doesn't come from the speakers, neither the PC speaker. It also stops Windows for about one second, I can't move the mouse, and can't type in anything (it buffers the typed text, and writes it out after the stop).
    This is getting worse in the past two weeks, it makes this noise and stopping about on average every five minutes.
    Does anyone of you have (near) the same problem?
    The config:
    -The HDD is a Seagate Momentus 7200.4, 320GB.
    -i5-520M(2.4GHz), 4GB RAM, 320GB 7200rpm HD, 14.1in 1440x900 LCD, Intel 5700MHD, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11agn wireless, WWAN option, Bluetooth, Modem, 1Gb Ether, UltraNav, Sec Chip, FPR, Camera, 6c Li-Ion, Win7 Pro 32

    Check Power Manager -> Advance -> Idle timers -> Stop HDD rotation -> Never.
    Next check if you have APS activated?

  • PS4 random beep during gameplay

    Just recently whilst playing Witcher 3 and Advanced Warfare Ive started to get a single beep occur once randomly during playback. The beep does not come from the PS4 itself but from the speaker audio (TV or stereo).  Gameplay and performance is not affected. I have a Samsung/Seagate M9T 2tb HDD installed is it the HDD? Or perhaps something else? Any one else suffer this issue? Any help greatly appreciated, thanks Guys and Gals.     

    I admit its strange but i have tried 2 different TV's and a surround stereo system, all the same result.  I've found a few others witht this issue now on Reddit and a couple other sites, but no one knows what it is. Some people have suggested it's the HDD, (which is only 3 months old). I've not noticed it in every game and its only happened over the last week The noise is like the game is making a single key press on a touch tone phone in the background. I will try to get a video next time it happens see if it can be heard and i'll post it here if so.  

  • IPad makes random beeping noise

    the New iPad started making a weird beeping noise at random intervals. It started a few weeks after buying it. Its been going on for more than a month now and its frustrating not knowing where it is coming from or why. the sound isn't even one of the options in the settings-->general-->sounds. there are two notes, the first one lower in pitch than second one.
    there doesnt seem to be a pattern to it. no dialog box comes up. it can happen when the iPad is being used or when it is asleep (with Smartcover or without Smartcover). I tried looking at the notifications panel and the sounds but there was nothing there. (white iPad with WiFi - no 3G)
    Any ideas what it can be?

    Did you try to reset the iPad by holding the sleep and home button for about 10min, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data doing a reset.
    If this does not work, set it up as new device, explained in this article:
