Random Disconetions and high ping during online games
I have had the same WRT120N for over a year now and it was working fine until a few weeks ago ,I play League of Legends a lot and lately during matches i get high ping and disconections at randome times even though i'm useing a ethernet connection to my desktop. I get 500ms ping and a message saying Ttrying to reconnect and it stays there for 30-50 seconds but when i open chrome the net works fine. I could really use some help here please.

Slow Speeds/High Ping During Evening
Just signed up for Comcast this week. Noticed bad lag while gaming and speed tests indicate slow download speeds (<10 Mbps when I should be getting 75 Mbps) and high ping (200-300ms). Checked everything hardware related on my end and couldn't find an issue. Finally, did some trace routing and discovered high ping on Comcast servers in San Jose and Great Oaks. See tracert results below. These issues seem to occur during the evenings (8pm to midnight PST), but the few checks I did during the day seemed fine. It may be related to streaming volume at night. I live in Houston, Texas and my ping to a game called LoL was around 80 now its at 90. It's not a huge difference and I don't notice anything when gaming. I'm just curious as to why this has happened?

BT Infinity 2 and high ping rate
I am having a problem with my BT Infinity2. I am getting high ping rates some as high as 181 ms. I have download speeds of 15 meg and 8-9 meg upload. This is through the router wired to my computer. I was told that I should be able to get somewhere in the region of 77 meg. This is nowhere near and needs to be sorted out.
It doesn't matter what time of day I do the speed test it is always the same. If I try and play my Football Manager 2012 game online I can't as my connection just kicks me back off the steam server. If I try and watch a programme on Iplayer or ITV player ther programmes are fuzzy, blocking and unwatchable, also with the buffering is beyond a joke.micksea173 not good and you have my sympathy
Try rebooting both the hub and the modem. Run the BT Speedtester to get your IP Profiles and http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/ to get an accurate speed test. Pings are very dependant on the site you are measuring a ping of 181 for a server in LA could be quite good! If you know how also run a tracert to bbc.co.uk. Post agin with the results and somebody can make an educated guess as to where the problem lies. -
I have "The Sims" suite (The Sims, Livin Large, House Party, Hot Date, and Unleashed). During the original installation, I could not get teh third disk to install (House Party). I definitely installed them in the correct order. Then, I went on to load the last two CDs, but when I install the last CD, to begin play, the game locks my system downafter the preview.
I sent the entire Application to the trash (I'm assuming installing this in the Applications section of teh HD is correct), and tried to re-install. Now, the initial Installer on The Sims primary CD will not respond. I have to force quit to unlock the install.
I have an iMac with the 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, with 4 GB Memory (4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3).
Can you tell me if I'm doing something wrong, or if my system does not have enough memory to handle this program? I already have The Sims 2 and 3 with several expansion packs installed - never had a problem operating or installing them. I still have at least 50% of my internal memory available.

JoeFor some reason SpeedGrade updated through the Application manager. I tried downloading the updates from adobe's website but it won't install. Prelude's update fails before it can even get started whereas the extension manager does install but it doesn't seem to be updating.
I've done as much investigation as I can think of and I'd rather not create a new user just to check that out but if I have to I will. How exactly do I create a new user on a mac? -
It takes awhile for anything/everything to load after I click on it when I'm online. It will freeze up about every 3 to 5 minutes for approx. 5 to 10 seconds at random. Some of my games will not load correctly on when I'm on "KING.com". This problem does NOT occur when I use "Internet Explorer" Can I go back to a earlier version of FIREFOX ?
It would, perhaps, be more helpful if you explained how to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 256 to 30 in steps that this novice can easily follow. I have looked at the link above and found it far too confusing and no mention anywhere of this network.http.max-connections. Any chance someone could do this for me, please? At the moment I am having to use a different browser to play games on King.com is this what Mozilla want? I feel quite let down and wish I not made the upgrade from the 3 version to the 9.

I am having major ping issues with online gaming even playing on UK based servers it is jumpering constantly to the 700's range. I rang a pingtest.net and even that is showing a rating of D and saying that online gaming won't work. I download at between 600-900KB/s a second normally but online gaming is impossible atm.
Is there anything I can do?it's not the servers as they are european based and everyone else has pings <200 so it is defiantly an issue with my connection as opposed to server side.

I would love to post this question to the Nintendo Support forums, but I'm abroad right now and it seems I am denied from the forums if I try to log in.
My Nintendo 3DS's internet features all work perfectly fine except when it comes down to directly playing a match with other users. For example, Mario Kart 7 will download Spot pass data like normal every day, but everytime I tray to play a match online, the software gives me an error. Same thing when I try to connect with people on Animal Crossing: New Leaf. My previous linksys router back in the states worked fine. The security was WEP I remember. Now I've got myself an Airport express and neither it nor my Macbook Pro (when sharing is turned on) will permit me direct online access to other users like I stated above. I even disabled security and went with an open network for a few minutes and was faced with the same exact problem.
I know this is very specific and mainly involves a none apple product, but I'm just curious what is different about the Apple wireless networks I'm setting up that is preventing me from nothing but direct realtime interactions with other users.
Any advice or knowledge about Apple security or wireless networks would really help me out. There are only so many settings I can tweak in the Airport Express so I'm sure it can't be too difficult, but I don't even know where to start.I guess it's a problem with NAT (Network Address Translation). My ISP is Vectant Ltd. so maybe I should get a hold of them. If anyone has any work arounds that maybe they used with other game consoles (Xbox Live, PSN), I could really use the suggestion. I really like the Airport express and assumed it would be compatible, but I guess not.

Slower 4G Download Speeds and Higher Pings Tonight
Stillwater, OK. Tonight, the DL speeds and ping times are worse than normal. UL speeds are unaffected.
Normal speeds, representative of the last few weeks...
Tonight's speeds (similar results to different test servers in the area)...
Ping times have more than doubled, and the download speed has been cut to ~25% of normal. If I try a test server on the east coast, I get something like the following (bad UL speeds too)...
Scary to think this could be due to the tower becoming overloaded (it is prime time) so early in the 4G game. The only other thing I can think of is that its particularly humid tonight, but why would that affect mainly the DL speed and not the UL speed?Speeds were still slow this morning, so I power-cycled the modem (and router). Speeds are back to normal, so it seems like I just needed to reboot the gear.

Drop in speed and higher pings
Hi, i guess this has been mentioned before on here but i think the G.inp activation has happened on my cabinet. i was using a Eci modem but read the huawei modem may solve the G.inp problem but didnt. I connected my Asus Vdsl/Router to the line and the stats say its on interleaved, i activated the G.inp setting and it went to fastpath and the connection speeds were back to normal, but using the connection the speeds were terrible. Original speeds were around 73 mb down and 18 mb up and are now 64 down and 16 up. pings went from 5 to 22. Is there anything that can be done to rectify this?
I think there's a beta firmware for the Asus which resolves stability problems like that.

I have been having intermittent packet loss issues for the greater part of this month, Today has made it so I can barely stay connected to the internet. I have gone through customer service a couple times, multiple router resets, wired vs. unwired, nothing changes. Here's some images of the problem from this morning. Just wondering if there was anything I could do on my end to fix this. Modem model is SB6141.

High Packet Loss, High Ping and Slow Connection Ov...
Hi There,
I have been a customer with the BT unlimited broadband package for a little under two years and up until recently have had no real issues with the service. This was until around 3/4 weeks ago I noticed that the internet was very slow and certain online games or applications like Netflix would lose all of its quality or stop completely. At first I thought nothing of it and simply reset my BT Home hub router, and sure enough everything was back to normal. However after around 2-3 hours of moderate use (gaming online or watching Netflix) the problem surfaced again.
Now I am lucky if I can get the entire way through a 40 minute TV episode before the quality drops and/or the service requires buffering. I have already contacted BT via the helpline and the service lady ran through the obligatory steps (turn off, wait 5 minutes, reset the home hub etc.) but she failed to understand that although rebooting the home hub does alleviate the problem initially, the symptoms of a slow connection, high packet loss and high ping always return within an hour.
Four the last couple of weeks I have been trying to investigate the problem myself and I have done the following things:
Tested the line using the master socket (no difference)
Opened the ports on my firewall within the home hub (no difference)
Directly wired in the computer instead of relying on the wifi (no difference)
Tested for interference from neighbours wifi using inSSIDider office (it wasn’t, operating on different channels)
Switched every device that requires internet off apart from the PC (no difference)
So with all that in mind I am fairly confident that it is nothing within my house that has caused a significant reduction in internet quality.
Now I have tried my best to display the problem I am having by recording the connection quality for the last 24 hours. The table below represents the condition and quality of the connection after leaving it a period of time without resetting:

I have also checked if the bell wire was attached and it is not. My socket is of the new type with the inclusion of an inductor on the faceplate. My ADSL filters and modem cable already have the middle connecting pins removed so I don’t think it is a wiring problem, at least in my apartment anyway. I have also searched for problems with the exchange and they are showing green for my area. (Liverpool Central)
I have just rang the quiet line and I do not appear to have any noise on the line. However, all I have is a cordless phone and I know that is not ideal for determining noise due to the radio frequency interfering with the phone speaker.

do i have to use 4 applet(1 applet to every class)?
or to use one applet that contains 4 panels?
did every class contain the paint metode?The way i will do it is: 1 Applet, 4 classes that extends Component each have a paint method.
