Random Error Message..

Everytime i sync my ipod to my mac i get this error message... i hit ok and everything syncs fine, but its driving me mad..
ive reset the ipod to factory default twice with no help

I should point out that it worked when the iPhone was set back to factory settings, but when restored with the backup, data/internet no longer works again, and I get the "Could not activate cellular data network" error message yet again.

I get the a random error message when downloading the new itunes. What is the problem?

I launch firefox3.6.13 into google homepage.
I click on almost any bookmark and I get that message.
another message I get is: " ZoneAlarm browser security detected problem with stability of protected browser. It will be restarted."

I'm asking for more information.

Random Error Messages

I've been working on my second game for several weeks now and am just starting to round the corner and the finish line is in sight.
Unfortunately, this is when everything seems to be falling apart.
Now when I run my program, sometimes it works fine, sometimes it gives me errors. It's not that I'm changing anything, I've tested it a few times in a row and sometimes I get 1 error, sometimes I get 5, sometimes it runs great.
The errors include:

One thing that is interesting is that in my library, the properties for my MovieClips contain an empty base class. When I try to edit it to say "flash.display.MovieClip," flash tells me it is a native class and will be defined at runtime. That seems irregular to me, but I am obviously still very, very new to all of this.
So that's my problem. I haven't posted any code yet because I wouldn't even know where to start. Any ideas or thoughts are very much appreciated, thank you!

Regardless, you're right that this whole thing isn't well explained.
So, here's my take on it:
When you have the "export on Frame N" checked, that means that all the Classes that have that box checked will be compiled right before the frame that you've specified. If you have frame 1 specified, then every Class with that box checked has to load before the movie can begin playing. This is one reason I use the timeline and don't instantiate anything visual through code but popups. It's also why I usually code to interfaces--the main Document Class doesn't have a direct connection to most of the Classes used on the timeline.
However, if you choose to instantiate a library symbol in your main Document Class, then the timeline must have advanced past the point where the symbol is compiled before you can use it. This is why so many Flash movies even have preloaders--because they instantiate everything through code, so everything must be loaded before you can show anything. Kind of a shame, but that's how most people code.

Why am I getting an ichat error message?

I have had my fantastic brand new black macbook for 2 days, and have been receiving random error messages on ichat. I used to get this message on my old mac when i tried to transfer a file, and then send a message before it was done transferring. However, now it comes randomly. Anyone know why

Try logging on to AIM on port 443 rather than port 5190.
Go to IChat in the menu bar > Preferences > Accounts.
Log out of AIM and then use the Server Settings tab
Set the port to 443.
Log back in again.

Stuck Key & Error Message

Thinkpad T410i windows 7. Getting a stuck key 4D message on startup, can boot just by pressing escape twice, but then getting a persistent and intermittent / random error message pop up. The error message is blank and contains no information other than the word Error. My keyboard seems fine, no jammed keys.
Any ideas?

Think I found the solution myself: seemed to be some kind of conflict with MobileMe control panel, so maybe something to do with syncing and nothing to do with the keyboard. Uninstalled the programme and the problem is solved.

I have not encountered such an error message, but this may be an over the air update that was initiated by your carrier which failed.

Keep getting error message about my computers local host name already in use

I keep getting the following random error message popping up on my desktop. The last time it said the same thing, but imac-2.local? Haven't changed anything to my knowledge.
This computer’s local hostname “glen-cumbuss-imac-2.local” is already in use on this network. The name has been changed to “XXXXX-XXXXXXX-imac-3.local”.

Sometimes this message means that you have two simultaneous connections to the same local network: probably Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Disconnect the Ethernet cable or turn off Wi-Fi.
If that's not the issue, shut down any virtual machines (Parallels, VMware, or VirtualBox) that are running.
Sometimes there's no identifiable reason for the behavior.
Rename the computer in the Sharing preference pane.

Skype error messages, freezing, minimizing, and crashing

Skype has been causing all sorts of problems for me lately and I don't know why. I use Skype on a day-to-day basis and everything has consistently been getting worse. All sorts of seemingly random error messages relating mostly to memory leaks or insufficient resources have appeared upon entering video calls, and consequently crashed Skype in different ways. I have a custom gaming computer that I built myself, so I really don't think insufficient resources should be a problem. The problem started sometime after the Skype 7.X version updates. I've looked everywhere on the forums and tried every single solution I could find related to my issue, but NOTHING has worked. I'm at the end of my wits and I normally don't post on forums but I'm desperate to at least get Skype working normally again.
My Skype version is: 7.7.0.103

Hey, thanks for showing me that. I guess that was one of the places that I didn't look, my Skype works now.
Still, any program that's made by a multi-billion dollar company that doesn't work well with their own product is a piece of garbage. Skype blows, I just wish there was an alternative to it. Microsoft is getting to be a really terrible company.

Random shutoff no error message

Hello,
I have a 12 month old Toshiba Satellite L50-A013 (Australian) with Windows 8.1 installed. It has started to randomly shut off without warning or any error messages upon restart.
It will function for about 30mins before shutting off. It occurs on battery and when plugged in; when I am using it, when it is idle and during sleep.
I have updated all my drivers and that had no effect. I have cleaned out any dust and have been monitoring for overheating, which has not occurred. I have reset all the power options and created my own to no avail. I have replaced the RAM as I thought that may be faulty, but that didn’t solve the problem. I have performed a simple CHKDSK and used the Intel diagnostic tool to check for errors and it came up fine. I haven’t performed a system restore as I am afraid the computer will shutoff and interrupt it.
The Event Viewer reports watchdog timer error (Event ID 13) followed by kernel-power 142 & 41 critical.
Ive been Googling for days. Any help would be appreciated.

I suppose Real Audio was used, though for sometime I used Iomega to store them on zip disks. It has been a long time. For the CD's that I have on hand, I have been doing what you suggested. This is not easy, as the old files were just all together in one file, and while I thought I had changed settings so that iTunes would do the same (after learning that iTunes puts things in lots of different folders - especially confusing for me with soundtracks with different artists)the last one I did was put in folders entitled unknown/unknown with only track numbers. And if I change anything using explorer, I have to find each file for iTunes again. I'm still struggling, not understanding how these mp3 files are different in some way. Some are from the same CD's. At any rate, now that I am (found your term) ripping these CD's again, is there a way to avoid all the folders and layers of folders? Thank you for your patience. Obviously when my daughters were here to help, me being green was not a problem@

Random restarts, Software malfunction? Error message.

Hi everyone!
I would like to ask for your help. My MacBook Pro started the have a malfunction about 1 month ago.
It has been randomly restarting by itself. As you can imagine this can be very annoying when you are working on your projects.... (saving every second)
So basically I brought my mbp to an apple store where they ran all the hardware tests. They said it was the Hard Drive so I bought a brand new hdd and replaced it by myself, reinstalled the system (mountain lion) without a problem. BUT A day after, when I fully copied al my documents from the hard drive I had before (wasn't damaged physically) the restarting started again.
I would highly appreciate if anyone could advise me what to do... since I changed the hard drive and apple said there are no hardware problems.

Then you went to a store that does not seem to have qualified personnel. This is the extract from the kernel panic report that clearly indicates the GPU issue:
Whether your HDD has a problem is a separate issue, but there is no indication here that there is a HDD problem.

Newbie, Help! iTunes won't play or import random files - no error message

Have a large library of MP3 files created with Real Audio. All played well in Real Audio or Windows Player. I did a complete unintall of Real Audio, installed ITunes, and while it accepts some of the songs(files), it doesn't accept others. It seems utterly random. There are no differences between the files. All are legit. I do not get an error message, but NOTHING happens no matter what method I employ to play or import the song/file. Have compared file attributes via properties and there is no difference. Itunes is the default player, and I have not reinstalled Real Audio. I just listen to the songs on computer while working, but thought I would try Itunes and get an IPod. Not off to a very good start.

I suppose Real Audio was used, though for sometime I used Iomega to store them on zip disks. It has been a long time. For the CD's that I have on hand, I have been doing what you suggested. This is not easy, as the old files were just all together in one file, and while I thought I had changed settings so that iTunes would do the same (after learning that iTunes puts things in lots of different folders - especially confusing for me with soundtracks with different artists)the last one I did was put in folders entitled unknown/unknown with only track numbers. And if I change anything using explorer, I have to find each file for iTunes again. I'm still struggling, not understanding how these mp3 files are different in some way. Some are from the same CD's. At any rate, now that I am (found your term) ripping these CD's again, is there a way to avoid all the folders and layers of folders? Thank you for your patience. Obviously when my daughters were here to help, me being green was not a problem@

Randomly occurring Disk Insertion error message

Running a mac mini with 10.5.4 I seem to get a randomly occurring error message "Disk Insertion - The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" with choices to "Initialize" or "Eject". The weirdness is that the message seems to pop up at random intervals when I haven't attempted to insert a disk.

I got this exact same message with my old Mini. It stopped as soon as I disconnected my iPod Shuffle. Haven't got round to figuring out how to fix it yet.
