Random Flashing Cursors on the wrong tabs

Since upgrading from CS4 to CS6 (via Creative Cloud) for Mac, I've noticed an annoying glitch with flashing cursors / insertion points. When I'm using the software heavily (possibly linked with swapping in and out to my browser to refresh and test changes) and then switching between multiple tabs in DW, I end up with the insertion points from various tabs all showing in the one window.
Obviously, this means that it's hard to know which one is the 'real' one for that tab. The only way to fix it is to toggle through all the tabs as this then cancels the insertion points once you've activated and de-activated the tab.
Until yesterday I was running Snow Leopard, but I'm now on Lion, in the hopes it was related to the OS, but sadly it's still occuring.
Has anyone else seen this issue? I've looked online repeatedly and couldn't see any mention of it so I'm not holding out much hope... It's a really annoying glitch and kills productivity as I often have a heap of tabs open and the time taken to clear the insertion points breaks your train of thought
Any tips would be greatly appreciated, but even just someone else reporting that they've encountered this would be a relief!

No joy with the other GPU. I've attached a picture showing this happening. The 3 red circles show the locations of 3 erroneous insertion points, and the green one's the 'real' one (client info blurred out).
Does this shed any light?

Overview page opens/highlighted the wrong tab, but the right view

Hi all,
I'm Using EP7.0 and SP22.I copied the UWL iView from this location (content provided by Sap --> End User Content --> Standard Portal User --> iViews --> com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl.iviews --> Universal Worklist).
Changed the iView Properties:
Display UWL Overview Page = Yes
I customized the standard- and webflow.xml files.I created an extra tab with own columns in the UWL.
That iView works fine.. It displays the Overview look and feel and my extra (invoics) tab. My Problem is
when i click the link (Tasks, Notification, Alerts and Tracking) in the Oveview page, it opens the corresponding Tab look and feel , but when I click on my extra tab (Invoices) it opens the Task tab instead of my extra (invoices) tab. The view is showing the right items (customize columns), only the wrong tab is highlighted. For the end-user it's a little bit confusing.
I also like to change the picture on the oveview page.
what can i do? how to achieve this? please help me..

Firefox loads website in the wrong tab when I click a link and change tabs.

In Firefox when I open a new tab and type in a webpage or click on the homepage button, then change to anoter tab while I wait for it to load, it will load the site in the tab I've switched to instead of the tab that I initially put the address in. This is annoying as it replaces whatever I was working on when it incorrectly loads the new page in the wrong tab. I have a fairly slow internet connection through my phone's hotspot, so it can take a long time to load pages, which is why I try to load something in one tab while working on another.

Photos randomly showing up in the wrong albums

Why, all of a sudden, when I sync my Ipad 2 to my computer, are some of the photos in my albums randomly going into the wrong albums? They are correct on the computer... but when on the IPad some of the photos from one album will be in the wrong album. How can I correct this?

Hasn't anyone experienced odd things happen with overflow leaders?

Mouse cursor displays the wrong icon

My cursor still changes based on the context, like hovering over a link or in a text field, but displays the wrong icon. After focusing a text field, the cursor is a reggular arrow in the text editor and turns to the text staff outside of it when it should be an arrow.
I just did a fresh install of 10.6.8 on a crucial m4 - ct256m4ssd
I FOUND THAT RESIZING THE MOUSE CURSOR IN THE UNIVERSAL ACCESSS PREFERENCES temporarily restores the cursor to a size-adjusted mouse, until I do something like click in a text field.

Find Control in Event Structure doesn't show the object when it is not in the frontmost Tab page [Bug Report, LabVIEW 2012]

When you are looking for the control/indicator handled by a case in the Event structure, you can use the contextual menu item "Find Control" (doesn't distinguish between control and indicator, BTW).
The result is that the control/indicator is highlighted on the FP. The problem is, if that control is in a Tab and specifically in a page of that Tab that happens to not be the frontmost, the only thing you'll see is marching ants, but no control:
<=========== the wrong TAB page was shown. LV did not bother to switch to the relevant one....
In other words, "Find Control" in the Event Structure doesn't switch the tab to the owning page. This is contrary to what happens if you right-click, say, the terminal of this control: the FP will switch to the owning Tab page.
I'd call this a bug and this is definitely an annoyance (which most likely has been around since the creation of the Event Structure).

I did not. Is there any better chance for it to be caught there by a NI eye than it is in the LV forum? I though these threads were deemed to gather bugs/features that had been already acknowledged by NI with a CAR number.

I am just coming back from a short conference of scientists who quite uninamously ended up with the conclusion that LabVIEW was to be disregarded as a lab development environment because of maintenance problems (which could have been argued for any language in my opinion, although I think they meant spaghetti diagrams are the natural tendency of students who could not care less as they are not going graduate because of their LV skills or lack thereof), but I guess I could have added my grain of salt and added the complete opacity on bug and feature handling by NI.

Help needed - showOneTab component displaying wrong tab

I have a page with an af:showOneTab component, which contains several tabs, and also a table (that's separate from the showOneTab component).
When the page is first loaded, the correct tab is disclosed, based on the contents of the table (there's a default tab, when the table is empty). Basically, on any of the tabs, different items can be added to the table, which then disables all of the other tabs. If the items are removed from the table, all the tabs are enabled again.
This all works fine the first time the page is viewed, but I have a problem with subsequent viewings.
Example scenario :
- On load, table is empty, and opens on the default tab (E) (correct functionality)
- change to tab A and add an item - all tabs except A now disabled (correct)
- click ok button, return to other page, item from tab A displayed in list (correct)
- go back to page - opens on tab A with all others disabled, and item in table (correct)
- remove item from table - all tabs now enabled again (correct)
- go to tab B and click cancel button - returns to other page, item from tab A still displayed in list (correct)
but then...
- go back to page - opens on tab B, with all others except A disabled, and the item from tab A in table. (should have opened on tab A)
- clicking on tab A reveals that tab B is actually disabled as it should be
So, the problem seems to be that somehow the showOneTab component is "remembering" the last tab that was disclosed, rather than determining which tab should be disclosed. (Furthermore, refreshing the page does not do anything - the wrong tab is still disclosed).
I have tried to get this to work in the following ways, but none has worked :
- binding each of the showDetailItems and using the setDisclosed methods
- binding the showOneTab component
- binding all of the "disclosed" and "disabled" attributes of the showDetailItems to boolean methods in the backing bean.
- using disclosure listeners
The backing bean for the page is on the session, but it is definitely being cleared before the page is loaded each time, so it can't be something persisting in that.
I don't know if it makes any difference, but this page is a popup.
This problem has been around for weeks now, and is extremely frustrating, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with the component OADefaultHideShowBean and the function setDisclosed(boolean) ; finally I used this function setDefaultDisclosed(pageContext,boolean) which is working correctly and will not remember the position of the last page downloaded...

Notebook NB200 cannot boot from USB CD/DVD drive / flashing cursor

I have a toshiba nb200-11L just under 2 years old (no warranty!). Recently it developed a problem which prevents it from booting up and all that happens is that I get a flashing cursor in the top left corner of a black screen. The only options availavle are F2 and F12 but these will not allow me to enter either safemode or to use the toshiba recovery option.
I have purchased the toshiba recovery disk on cd rom in order to complete a re-install but the bios only shows HDD and FDD as options, and there does not appear to be any way of adding further options.
I have checked the hard drive which appears to be ok. I am concerned that the problem may be the motherboard which I suspect will make any repair uneconomical.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

I do not know what BIOS version it is, but I have set the BIOS to default. I suspect that there may be a problem with the external dvd drive, as I have plugged it in to another laptop and it is not being recognised. I am going to try another one tomorrow - fingers crossed!

Z77A-GD55: Boot stuck with flashing cursor (need help!)

When I start my computer, it says A2 in the lower left of the screen, and then B2 for quite a long time. Afterwards, it's just a white cursor flashing on a black background, and nothing else happens.
I have recently installed a third hard disk and changed my graphics card (from 2x Sapphire HD 7970 to 1x EVGA GTX 760).
What can I do to fix this problem?

was the 3rd HDD clean (new with no OS on it) and what SATA port you got it attached to?
I removed the graphics card and connected the screen cables to the motherboard instead, and then started the computer. I worked fine, but of course, I can't use it how I want to without a graphics card.
I then tried to insert it again, and made sure everything was connected properly. When I then started the computer, nothing had changed, and it was still stuck at the flashing cursor.
The new hard disk was clean, yes. I previously had my three drives connected like this:
- SSD (240GB) and HDD (2000GB) connected to the two SATA 1&2 (6.0 Gb/s)
- Optical drive (Bru-Ray read/write) connected to SATA 3 (3.0 Gb/s)
When I installed the new hard disk, I connected the old 2TB to SATA 4 (3.0 Gb/s), and the new 3TB to SATA 2 (6.0 Gb/s).
The 240GB SSD is the disk with the operating system (Win7 64), and this is still, and has always been, connected to SATA 1.
Does anyone have any possible solutions for my problem from the information currently given?
I haven't been able to use my dear gaming computer for four weeks now, and it's driving me crazy...

After install and first boot, Grub shows only flashing cursor

Hi so I recently successfully installed the archlinux image on my netbook. after finishing the config files and rebooting, he started grub normally, I could choose from all the menu entries I set. I had 3 other partitions before I installed arch, these were windows 7 starter, system (dont know what that is, he showed me that under windows but it is unrecognized under linux) and a windows 7 recovery partition (from samsung).
so I first checked if he would boot the windows partition but I forgot also to configure the windows partition entry in the grub config so he loaded the recovery partition. after a reboot he showed me just a black screen with a flashing cursor at the bottom of the display that moves from the left side to the right constantly. there is no error or anything, he even shows the text "loading grub" at the beginning but then I get that screen.
I still can boot my arch live image, here's the output of fdisk -l

well...no I just let pacman do the update (where some things with renaming kernel files were mentioned). but considering the fact that I didnt update the system the first time the problem occured and the fact that booting from the windows recovery partition triggers the problem I dont think that the problem lies within linux or updating.
besides that I dont even come to the grub menu, he only displays "grub loading stage1.5" and then the screen with the cursor comes. He doesnt react on anything I try except the reboot shortcut.
and can you help me with my previous question? "And how can I manually install grub from the live image? I dont want to go through the whole installation again, only overwrite the existing grub and with it the mbr."

Satellite L755D-10U: flashing cursor after Wlan replacement

I have a L755D-10U with the built-in Mini PCI-E (1/2 height) wireless card - a Realtek 8188CE.
This card is just about the worst piece of technology I have come across.
It works when it wants to, but as soon as I start to work it hard it decides to drop the connection and fail totally until I disable and enable it - either by software or by the <FN>+<F8> key combination.
I have finally had enough and decided to replace the card with an Intel Centrion Advanced-N 6200.
I put it into the laptop, turn on and...
...BIOS screen, then just a flashing cursor in the top left and a 100% locked system.
This is nothing to do with Windows as the same thing happens if I remove the hard-drive.
Any idea why this should be?
I can see no sign of any BIOS updates for this laptop, but cannot believe that Toshiba would restrict the hardware which can be used as replacements in their machines.

Thank you for being so condecending to me. I am aware that the BIOS needs to support the hardware, but I don't believe that the BIOS needs to have the details of every single piece of hardware or it would be a massive operating system in its own right. As long as the hardware meets the standards for that type of hardware then the BIOS should be fine with it as the Operating System does the actual controlling.
This whole thing seems like Toshiba intentionally locking down the hardware to only allow the cards they supply to work in the laptop.
This is why I asked if there is a list anywhere of the supported wireless cards for this laptop - I purchased this Intel one and it doesn't work - yet it is perfectly fine in three other different laptops - and I cannot afford to keep on buying cards in the hope that one of them will magically be the correct type.
There are no BIOS updates for this machine and it is the first and last time that I or anyone I know will ever buy any computer equipment manufactured by Toshiba.

Shockwave and Flash Player installed works fine but it says damaged in the dependency tab.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. When I go to
downloaded programs in windows where your active x programs are.
The icons on the leftt of shockwave player are white. I right click
on the shockwave player and click on properties and in the
dependency tab has nothing in the file name. Over to the right size
bites says damaged. On the download programs itself where the
shockwave player is the status says installed and the bite size
says 4 KB it did not it did not say damage only in the dependency
tab. My shockwave programs and games work fine. On the dependency
it has this message,This page lists the 1 file (s) amd 0 java
packages upon which shockwave active x controls depends on. I tried
uninstalling and reinstalling about 5 times and the samething came
up. If it has to run on the main package java the samething is
there too. There too it is installed and the bites are okay the
only place it says damage is in the dependency tab. I unstalled
that and reinstalled it the same number of times and the samething
appeared. Flash player the same way. How do I fix this problem? In
dowloaded programs I also have another shockwave active x control
with the same version and 2 java of the same version. Also after I
uninstall shockwave player I go to manage add ons and delete the
one that is still there and in the downloaded programs it has
unknown with a bunch of letters. There is no way to delete that
when you right click it you only see properties.

Try clearing the Cache in Firefox.
Tools-> Clear Recent History -> [v] Cache

Tools->Options->Advanced->Network -> Offline storage -> [Clear Now]
Youtube may have made some changes recently. Clear the Youtube cookie and refresh page if above does not do it.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

When I right click on a link to open in new tab and move my cursor into the dialog box the box dissapears this is new in the last 24 hours.

I'm using Firefox 8.0 on Suse 11.4 today is 11/28/11 the past 24 hours I've been experiencing this: I always try to right click on links and open in new tab, lately when I do so and move the cursor into the dialog box the box disappears. Also if I online shop say for clothing, if I want to change size's when I click the button to do so nothing happens when I want to scroll down and pick a different size, (I can hi-light the size and click on it then when the window scrolls back up the default size is still there. This isn't consistent with all web sites.

it might be a malfunction in your device. you might ave to send it to repairation
1.ave you try resetting it or restoring it?
2. did your hold boutons whas working beffor?
