Random incompatible device message

Recently, my iphone has been randomly displaying the message "This accessory is not made to work with iphone" (with the accompanying blurb about switching to airport mode) when there is no device attached to the iphone. My software is up to date (OS 10.4.11, itunes 7.6.1, iphone 1.1.4). If I don't immediately decline, the message will often go away spontaneously after a few seconds. Right now it's merely an annoyance but I don't know if it's a harbinger of more serious problems. This just started yesterday and I haven't done any updates for a week or so.

Hello. Try some of the tips below.
1. Clean the Dock Connector, and Bottom Connector of the iPhone. You can blow on both of these to blow out any small particles. or use a small soft bristles brush to gently wipe out any particles.
You may also choose to do the same for the SIM card and Audio Jack area
2. Reboot the iPhone, Hold down the home button & sleep lock button together till you see a silver apple logo. Then let go. iPhone OS will reboot.
3. Toggle Airplane mode on for 1 min, Then turn it off
4. Restore iPhone, Backup all content on the iphone you want back before restoring.

The warning messages are fine and normal. (You may want to sellect a different build folder, looks lik eyou are building to where your apps are?)
Not sure about how you are trying to burn them (I use Toast or DVD SP itself), but in general make a new disc, then add the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders

How do I fix a charger that has been used on an incompatible device?

I lent my charger to a friend, and when I got it back it started acting up. First it told me to reset my Ipod in Itunes, but before I could it suddenly refused to show up anywhere on my computer. It doesn't even register as a blank disk, and it doesn't show up in Itunes or My Computer. The problem isn't the Ipod itself, because once unplugged it works perfectly. But now I can't charge my Ipod OR add music to it. I assume that my friend used it on an incompatible device, and it has somehow damaged the charger itself.
Is there a way to fix this, or will I need to get a new charger?

I am wanting to reformat my HP mini laptop with windows 7 but this select proper device message is not allowing me to. I have the operating system disk but my laptop is not recognizing the hard drive. I go to diagnostics in the bios setup and it indicates the primary hard disk is not supported. I am stuck and have no clue what to do next. Should I replace the hard drive?

Mail randomly choosing which messages to display

I have a problem with the desktop version of Mail, where it randomly stops displaying message content. A message will come in, but when i click on it nothing displays in the window. Quitting and re-booting the application solves this, but it means quitting and re-booting several times per day. And this doesn't happen on the iOS versions. Everything works fine there, so it doesn't seem to be on the server side, for instance.
re-building doesn't help, btw.

Try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

TS4006 When i try to find my missing iphone. I sign in with my apple id and get no devices message. I know I registered my phone.

When I try to find my stolen i phone 4 using find my iphone, I get no devices message. I registered my phone so I don't know why I get this message.

Best bet would be to call AppleCare. 800-apl-care or visit an Apple store. They should be able to register the device to you.

Unable to link incompatible devices. Please update all out of date devices

I just recently got the trio kit with two DM100's and the wireless controller.
Linksys Easy Link Advisor (LELA) does not install the controller, but it was able to be installed with most functionality manually. (running windows xp 64)
Right Now I am getting the error "unable to link incompatible devices. Please update all out of date devices" when I try to link my zones named Player1 and Player2 for party mode. When viewing details they show different firmware versions (1.7.3 and 1.23.31). I have tried to update, but they show up as completely updated in LELA.
How can I force a firmware upgrade? I did a search, and the help file was of no use. There is also no download available.
For the next gen of linksys home audio, how about a standard webconfig/telnet where I can define a static IP address for the wired and wireless connections? Eventually I hope to start up wireshark and see how this all works, because the system is cumbersome in its current state.

Basically, Leave it powered on, connected to the internet over the weekend.

You can force the update to happen by using the Media Center Sofware.
   1. Open media center software
   2. Mouse over the DMP-100 player window and right click to expose menu
   3. Select About to see current firmware version and option to update.
I did this, and it updated...eventually. Took overnight (>3hours), and there was no user feedback/acknoledgment that the command had been received/processed/completed.

I'm assuming that you only use Yahoo mail on the web and not through a mail client, such as Outlook or Thunderbird?
Also, make sure all of your Yahoo emails are going directly to the Yahoo inbox and not to sub folders or junk folders. Only the inbox will be delivered to your BlackBerry.

Place random image in Messages with Applescript - TextExpander

I've been using Apple computers since '84 but I've never used Appplescript and was hoping for some help.
I'd like to be able to place a random image in Messages with an Applescript through TextExpander. When I type my snippet into Messages the Finder will open a random image from a folder using something like this:
tell application "Finder"
set randomImage to some file of folder "Mac HD:Users:me:photos:chat pics"
get randomImage
open randomImage
end tell
If I replace "Finder" with "Messages" it doesn't work. Do I need to combine 2 Applescripts to make this happen?

problem with playback device message.. been reading up about this problem but so far nothing has worked for me.. i have windows 7. Been trying to find the place in here to get some help but have no idea how this works. So if someone reads this.. please HELP me. Cheers

What OS are you running? What's the model of your computer/audio device? What does Skype list as your playback/recording device?

No Audio Output Device message on u305-s5077

I am showing the "NO AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE" message. I have followed a few of the posts for similar laptops and and tried downloading new drivers which don't seem to be working.
In Device Manager, isn't there supposed to be a "sounds" tab or something to that effect? In System Devices, I see High Definition Audio Controller which says it's working fine.
Any suggestions to get Sound going again would be greatly appreciated.

Look under Sound, video and game controllers.
In the meantime, try reinstalling a driver. Try them both.

but why.. why it says "No device" message on the web browser (IE 6.0) ?
