    Don't feel alone...
My iPad 3 also displayed the aforementioned Japanese Safari links when updating from iOS 6 to iOS 7.
Tonight, I restored the iPad to its default, blank condition.
Though it is now quite snappy, the Japanese links immediately returned.

  • Lost favorites in safari

I have been continually losing my Favorites in Safari.  They just seem to disappear every so often.  They were all there yesterday and today they are gone.  Any help would be appreciated.

It is a guess, but I suspect that syncing through iCloud is somehow clearing your favorites.
I would go to system preferences>icloud and uncheck safari. Then I would go to system preferences>internet accounts and highlight iCloud and uncheck safari (the order may need to be reversed.
This would, at least, remove a possible variable from the problem.
The bookmarks are stored in your home folder (~). ~library>safari> bookmarks.plist.

  • Deleting a Favorite in Safari

Hi. Does anyone know how to delete a Favorite in Safari? Thanks

Go to safari and go to the book symbol in the top right-hand corner and your favourite will either be in your reading list, bookmarks or bookmarks bar and swipe and press delete.

  • How can I remove or delete my favorites from safari

Can anyone tell me how I can remove or update favorites in safari?

In Safari go to Favorites (Bookmarks > Favorites) and touch Edit at the bottom left.
At this point each Favorite can be deleted, edited (name and link), or re-ordered.

  • Favorites in safari

I'm confused about favorites in Safari.  When I click on the + it brings up a favorites tab, but I don't see how to add to the list, or delete items from the list.  Thanks for your help.  -Scott

Adds the webpage to your reading list, not your favorites. You can subsequently remove things from your reading list by hovering over top right corner of the saved page and clicking the little "x":
You can manipulate bookmarks from the sidebar by right clicking (or option + clicking) the bookmark and modifying as needed.
Sorry, disregard. I was writing this in reference to a Mac, not an iOS device.

  • Convert ie favorites to safari 7 bookmarks

I'm on a new MacBook Pro, and love it.
I want to know how to convert the .url files which were IE 9 Favorites to Safari 7 Bookmarks. Import doesn't work.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

Export your IE bookmarks to a USB thumb drive then connect the thumb drive to your Mac. The USB icon should appear on the desktop.
Launch Safari. From the Safari menu bar click File > Import Bookmarks then navigate to the USB drive.
If the USB drive does not appear on the desktop, open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click File > Preferences then select the General tab.
    Select:  External disks
Congrats on your new MacBook Pro!

  • Mid 2010 MacBook Pro: Will randomly blue-screen and Safari repeatedly crashes.

I bought my MacBook Pro in June/July of last year, and it has worked perfectly fine up to this point. However, for the past 2 months or so, my computer will randomly go to a blue screen and log me out. Also, Safari will crash several times (it had never crashed on me until the blue-screen problem started. Both of these issues surfaced at the same time). For the most part, the blue-screening problem only happens when I'm using the internet, but sometimes it will happen when I am offline as well. This is an infrequent/inconsistent problem, though. It will blue-screen and Safari will crash one week, but then it will be perfectly fine for the next three or four weeks. What's wrong/how do I fix it?

    Hi JRC8.8,
It sounds like you have been on the right track in trying to troubleshoot this issue. You may want to see if your MacBook Pro will boot directly to the Apple Hardware Test, as outlined in the following article:

  • How can I import my IE8 bookmarks/favorites into Safari if I only have access to the data stored on my old hard drive? I can't run Windows to export them to an html file.

My old PC died and I replaced it with a MacBook Pro.  Although I was able to copy the data from the PC's hard drive, I am unable to export my previous bookmarks/favorites to an html file because that PC won't boot.  Is there any other way to import them into Safari using the raw data stored on that drive or convert them somehow to a format I can import?

You can only use a JSON backup to restore all bookmarks in Firefox.<br />
If you need to import Firefox bookmarks in Safari then you need to (re)install Firefox and export the bookmarks to an HTML file.

  • Webpage links randomly not working in Safari 7.0.1

Running Safari 7.0.1 on 2009 MacBook Pro running Mavericks 10.9.1.
Am having random issues with webpage links not being active/working. Also had the issue on Mountain Lion/Safari prior to the OS upgrade. Anyone else having this problem or any recommendations out there? Example in the example below, both the Club Pogo logo and the menu are links to other pages on the site. In the Active image, all links are working. In the Inactive image, none of the links are working. These are two different pages on the same site, but the issue randomly occurs throughout this site and others. Sometimes when I refresh the page, the links work, sometimes not.

  • Delete Favorites ICONS Safari iOS 8

I know how to delete my bookmarks, but how do I delete the Favorites Icons in Safari on my iPad with iOS 8?

Ok well you need to delete the bookmarks you have saved in the FAVOURITES folder of your Bookmarks to remove the icons. If you don't wish to delete them visit the pages first, save them again in an alternative location/folder and then delete from the FAVOURITES folder of your bookmarks.
Oh and by the way, if you've got iOS 8 you're doing very well as they've only just released iOS 7 last month.

    Steve
