Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
    ... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here. (Use your Ctrl-V keyboard shortcut to paste.)

  • Windows 7 BSOD randomly occuring after installing iTunes 10.6 with iPhone 4 in dock

After installing iTunes 10.6 and IOS 5.1 on my iPhone 4, Windows 7 computer was randomly blue screening with the iPhone 4 in the attached dock. After removing the phone from the dock, system works fine.

Re-installed iTunes as you suggested and it worked.  However, started experiencing random BSOD's.  Disk check found a number of file errors on the boot drive - which it fixed.  It then took a number of re-boots before computer became stable.
Then, upgraded iTunes on a HP workstation (no iPhone attached).  On reboot windows had to attempt a boot repair 3 times before it would reboot.  Couldn't even do a disk check without first reverting to the last restore point.  It also corrupted Norton.  The end result was 2.5 hours of wasted time.
Being an expert pc user, I can safely say that I believe Apple has some serious issues with 10.6.

  • System Lockup AFTER installing ExpressCard Update 1.0!!?

hey there, before i installed the expresscard update 1.0, my mbp was running fine. just after that though i'll get random systemwide lockups.
i've noticed this happens only when i'm loading a page from Safari.
Only 3 applications are running. AdiumX, Safari and iTunes.
When I get the "lockup", my cursor will turn into a Spinning Beachball, and i'm unable to access "Force Quit" menu, as well as click on anything else on the screen. music keeps on playing on iTunes though.
further examination of my console.log ges me this

i know the parse error is the last thing that causes the lockup coz i get the "Mac OS X Version..." log entry whenever i boot up.
So the 50million dollar question is: How can I rollback the **** expresscard update?
does anyone have any similar problems?

    UPDATE:
i have discovered that a fresh boot, followed by launching ONLY Safari, I would get a lockup WITHOUT FAIL when i'm loading this webpage

can anyone who has installed the update verify if it locks up their system too?
    much appreciated

  • Random crashes after installing X-Fi Fatal

    Greetings,
Got a wierd problem that I think may have started after I installed my new souncard (which by the way rocks!) Every now and then my machine just freezes solid, nothing responds, so I have to switch the power off and on. It has happened three times today, once just while browsing, once while watching a movie and once while starting up a game.. So it seems pretty random. I've got the newest drivers from the Creative site.
One thing I haven't done yet, is do a full reformat. Haven't gotten around to that yet, thouht I'd ask here first :P
Oh, here's the rest of my PC specs:
    AMD Athlon FX-60 | ATi Radeon X900XTX | DFI Lanparty UT RDX200 CF-DR | 2GB Kingston HyperX | Hiper Type-R 580W
Maybe someone has had the same problem? Any help is appreciated!

I think I may have found the problem. I think one of the PCI slots are broken.. When the first crash happened, when I restarted I couldn't find the wireless card in that slot.. so I swapped it. And when I got the soundcard, I put it in that slot. Thats when the crashing started to happen. I've reformatted now, and put the soundcard in another slot. No crashes so far, but it's still early :P Let's hope that's it then..

  • DPM 2012 R2 long backup to tape job randomly fail after installing SCCM 2012 Client

    Hello,
I'm managing a two nodes 2012 R2 file server cluster that contains a 16To CSV. I'm using DPM 2012 R2 to backup this entire shared volume directly to LTO 4 tapes, the job last about 55h.
Since SCCM 2012 client has been installed(I don't manage it), the tape jobs are failing ramdomly after several hours with the error:
    Type: Tape backup
    Status: Failed
Description: The DPM service was unable to communicate with the protection agent on serverX.xxxx.xxx . (ID 52 Details: The semaphore timeout period has expired (0x80070079))
     More information
    End time: 19/07/2014 03:11:06
    Start time: 18/07/2014 22:00:00
    Time elapsed: 05:11:05
    Data transferred: 768 289,56 MB
    Cluster node serverX.xxxx.xxx
    Source details: G:\
    Protection group members: 1
     Details
Protection group: File Server Tape Protection
Library: Quantum PX500 Series Medium Changer
Tape Label (Barcode): File Server Tape Protection-00000230 (000043L4)
If I uninstall SCCM 2012 client, no more issue, backups succeed. I've asked our SCCM team, no specific task has been scheduled or deployed in SCCM.
I can't see anything abnormal in logs.
    Any idea?

I have disabled "Configuration Manager Maintenance" and I have also tried to set the registry value HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CCM\CcmEval\NotifyOnly to TRUE and still the same issue.
I can't find any correlated errors in the Windows event logs, task scheduler history neither in the DPM logs.
I've increased the log level of DPM by following the following procedure
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/george_bethanis/archive/2013/11/04/how-to-collect-dpm-verbose-logs.aspx
Now i'm suspecting the maintenance job of Windows 2012 R2, i'll try to disabled this task. But the fact is that I don't have this backup issue if SCCM 2012 client is not installed.
I'm waiting for next logs and will keep you informed

  • Random BSOD after installing port replicator drivers.

Hi, my boss just got a new laptop (TP T400s running Windows 7) and after configuring it, it was working fine. But then I installed the drivers for the USB port replicator with digital video and after rebooting, right after the login screen, it BSOD, complaining about igdkmd64.sys. Rebooted again, it didn't crashed upon login this time, just a little while later when clicking on the start menu. After more test, the replicator seemed to work, but not the digital video port. The DVI connector didn't worked correctly, just the mouse pointer was being displayed. Trying to set resolution didn't do anything and switching output source via Win-P provoked a strange flickering for a minute or so and then the machine automatically rebooted. Tried the driver found on the CD (1.0) and also those available through Lenovo website (1.5.6.8), always the same thing. Now I've uninstalled the drivers and the random BSOD keep reappearing.
Is this issue common? Is the port replicator faulty or is it the ThinkPad? Is the windows installation screwed, can it be repaired? What is Lenovo return policy?
I've also seen lots of complaints on this forum about random shutdown, this would be as unacceptable for us than the current BSOD we're experiencing. Is that situation widespread?
P.S.: We're trying to get work done, not beta test Lenovo products!
    Thanks
    Solved!

The win7 driver for the usb port replicator with digital output is not out yet. So, you cannot get it work under win7. I recall seeing an official flyer of the product, in which there is a line stating that a win7 driver will be out in December.

this error is so much obvius.
just look on internet on how to disable readyboost. additional just turn off the hybrid function and u will never see this bsod again, even i dont know how dumb ur mediacenter edition is and want to give u other bsods. btw i only seen bsods couse of **bleep** driver on my devices. donno how u manage to get such bluescreens......
btw according to the results i recommning ya to use ckhdsk /f to ur disk. mstWorker is mentioned wich means read write issues on access files. mstworker is microsoft Tiworker, an process wich examines files an bit. used by winupdate and the indexer.

    Hello the:
I do not read crash logs well. However, since your system is new, take it to an Apple store for diagnosis. I think that would be the least time consuming approach.

  • IPad randomly freezes after installing iOS 7 - in the middle of watching a video. Touchscreen often very sluggish.

Updated iPad to latest version of iOS7 and really wish I hadn't.  touchscreen suddenly very sluggish ... I can press something several times for it to "take", some apps suddenly close for no reason, video is doing strange things too - audio will keep playing but the picture isn't keeping up with audio. All videos streaming from latest version of iTunes. is anyone else having these sorts of issues?

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of Your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

    If no joy...
    Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
    If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

  • Blue screen after installing creative soundblaster live 24-bit exter

hey, have a bit of a prob here...i get random crashes after installing my external soundcard which i've just bought...i'll get the blue screen everytime it happens but unable 2 catch the blue screen msg as it flashes for 2 secs...anywayz i'll explain my com setting...i'm using a acer travelmate 270,about 3 yrs old now...it has 3 usb . ports at the rear n i added 2 usb 2.0 slots via pcmcia card...i connect my external hard disk using the 2 usb ports at the back as port has not enuf power..so that leaves port...n the pcmcia card ports i attach a external cd burner n a usb 2.0 hub....could it be that the error msg im getting is due to the lack of current in my laptop?is there a way 2 check the power capacity on the usb ports?the blue screen has appeared numerous times alredi n is very annoying...but i managed to solve the prob though for now when i go to control panel/sounds and audio devices..then under the volume tab,i goto speaker settings/advanced/performance..in here,i lower the hardware acceleration bar to the 2nd bar n the sample rate conversion quality bar to the st bar ...the crashes haven't happenned so far....but just wanna get anyone's opinion on why the blue screen crashes happen...isit bcoz my laptop is unable 2 supply sufficient power to the external soundcard when functioning at its full capacity?(causing me 2 lower its performance via lowering the bar)any help would be much appreciated...thanx.....

  • After installing mavericks on my macbook pro my laptop keeps rebooting

How can I find out what might be happening to cause this behaviour?
Is anyone else seeing this odd behaviour?
I didn't have a booting issue before installing Mavericks, since installing I have had at least 4 random reboots.  After logging in, I get a message that the system booted unexpectedly and I uploaded the info to Apple.  One time it showed the reboot occured during the wakup from sleep.
As a side question, how can I tell the system to NOT relaunch all applications that where running before.

    Hi Clinton (and original poster/responders)
I have been having the same problem, with random reboots after installing Mavericks.  Sometimes, it goes into a loop of restarting for a while before successfully launching (even rebooting when I click on my user id to log in to OS) . Thanks, and,
Here are the results from using EtreCheck: (P.S.: I use an external usb harddrive for TimeMachine, and it hasn't been connected during these restarts)

    Hello Juanjeli,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you are having trouble using an external display. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

  • Server manager hangs on collecting data, i can't install/uninstall any applications, mmc works on random, no errors in any logs

Hi, ive been searching around for for 4-5 hours on google and here and I'm turning a bit desperate
I rebooted the server today, and after that it just hangs on collecting data, mmc stuff works on random, I got evenviewer open, and checked system and application, but it only showed exchange alerts etc, according to itself, everything is fine, which is it not, I can't goto control panel, can't install/uinstall software, cant run windows update, can't connect via RDP etc.
I tried misc solutions I found, like this
    1. Click Start->Run...->type msconfig and press Enter
    2. Click Services tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services and Disable All third party Services.
    3. Click Startup tab and Disable All startup items
    4. Click OK and choose Restart
but msconfig just hangs when I click OK.
    server is a DL380G5 with 64 bit

    Hi,
First I would like to confirm the following points:
    1.    Had any changes been made on the computer before the issue began to occur, such as an installation or upgrade?
    2.    Does any error message appear or does it just hang when opening Control Panel, install/uninstall software, run Windows Update, connect RDP?
    3.    Have you installed any anti-virus programs on the computer?
First let’s delete the Server Manager cache files in C:\Windows\System32\ServerManager\Cache.
If it still hangs, I suggest booting into Safe Mode.
Please restart the computer, keep pressing F8 and enter Safe Mode.
Does the hanging issue also occur in Safe Mode? If not, let’s try the steps below in Safe Mode again:
    1. Click Start->Run->type msconfig and press Enter.
    2. Click Services tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services and Disable All third party Services.
    3. Click Startup tab and Disable All startup items.
    4. Click OK and choose Restart.
What’s the result in Normal Mode now?
If the issue persists, please boot into Safe Mode and run your anti-virus programs perform a complete virus scan.
If the issue still occurs after scanning for viruses, please send the System Inforamtion to me for further research:
    1. Press Start, type in msinfo32 in the Start Search bar and then press Enter.
    2. Choose Save from the File menu and save it as an NFO file.
    3. Find the file, right-click on this file, click "Send To", and click "Compressed (zipped) Folder".
    4. Upload the compressed file to me from the following site:

    Hi Ted,
At this point I think you should get Applejack...
At this point I think you should get Applejack...
    http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/15667/applejack
Ignore the MacKeeper ad no matter what else you decide.
After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
    applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
    Correct any Disk problems.
    Repair Permissions.
    Clear out Cache Files.
    Repair/check several plist files.
