Random Render Line Glitch in AE CS6

Hey Adobe Community!
Although I have been quite happy with After Effects CS6, I have been running into some render glitches which are giving me real problems (whether CS6 is the culprit or not I don't know). On a number of jobs I am currently working on, the renders out of AE have strange bars that appear for about one frame at random times throughout the rendered clip. I can't find any pattern to the timecode or the screen location when they appear. Take a look below at the two pictures below for examples.
Quick note: This problem appears to be similar in some respects to the issue in this discussion (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4409423#4409423). Just thought I would post it for reference.

Here is some information about the two clips.
Clip for picture #1
Time: 2:06 (two seconds and six frames)
Output: Quicktime
Compression: None
Composition: There is 1 mask and some motion tracking
Clip for picture #2
Time: 20:06
Output: Quicktime
Compression: None
Composition: Utilizing the "Warp Stabilizer" in order to smooth camera movement.
This is obviously a problem that cannot continue since AE is a huge part of my work. I really appreciate any insight you can provide on this problem.

Premiere and AE should be able to handle H.264 clips directly out of the 5D and 7D without transcoding, but if you're still working with the original aquisition codec after switching to another program in the pipeline then that might be the problem.  In that case, you might be forced to transcode your entire Premiere project to another lossless production codec using AME, which will give you the same quality as any other lossless codec.  This is actually a step that a lot of editors take before doing anything with their footage, if they know it's going to go through several programs down the line.  And if I understand correctly, Uncompressed QTs and high quality PNG QTs are both actually compressed.  However, they are compressed with lossless formats.  As Szalam said the QT PNG codec is the same quality as an Uncompressed QT, although I'd also suggest Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) if you have it.  Uncompressed 10 bit, Uncompressed 8 bit and Animation are lossless, but the file sizes will be huge.  If you have Black Magic you could also try that.

    I am currently using premiere cc and my sequences are not showing the yellow render line or opacity filter, it is only showing the FX indicator. How do I get it to display the yellow line and opacity?? I am trying to fade in and fade out with the markers like I was able to in CS6. I've searched but can't find much.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Choppy playback, when render line showing gray (niether green or red).

    Hello,
    Initially the render line shows red and gray in some parts. When I render the movie the red sections do turn green, but the gray portions remain gray. Playback is fine while in the green areas, but stalls and becomes extremely choppy when passing over the gray areas (I've posted a phicture to help make my explaination a little clearer). Does anyone know a fix for this?

    What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
    Without further information, there is nothing to fix. See explanation to follow.
    The area of the Timeline over which the green line appears tells me that you
    (a) edited original video which presented with no color line and the edit forced the red line which you "rendered" to green.
    (b) Or, you had content that imported originally to present with the red line over the content and you rendered to green.
    A video properties and project preset mismatch.
    What are the properties of the Timeline over which your "gray" no colored line situation exists? At face value, they could be imported media that imported with no colored line over their contents, and you have not edited yet. Please detail the situation so we know the real situation.
    Just in case recap....
    no colored line over Timeline content (only seen on first drag before edit of content) when native format and project preset is set to match the properties of the source media. The program is telling you that you have the best possible preview. So, no rendering is needed or possible. If you edit this type, the indicator line turns red and rendering/edits/rendering thereafter involve only red green changes, no more no colored line.
    green line over Timeline...you have the best possible preview, no rendering is needed or possible.
    in versions earlier than 11, red line indicates need for Timeline rendering to get the best possible preview. After the Timeline rendering, the red line turns green with all the implications stated above.
    In versions 11 and 12, the red Timeline render indicator is no longer and now is an orange line.
    Please review and consider and please get back to us with more details as to what is in the tracks below the render indicator lines.

    wouldn't be a bad idea to use the flare tool:
    you can only have 50 lines though. needs some expanding/ungrouping, and delete the extra circles.

  • Red Timeline box. Not render line entire timeline box turns red

    I ran into an issue on Premiere Pro cs3 after updating my mac to Mountain Lion. No issues until update. The entire timeline box turns red when I insert a video. Not the render line but the entire box turns completely red. anyone have any ideas?
    I realize I need to update, I am a college student, but I do freelance for a nonprofit so I need this up and running as fast as I can.

    That SEEMS like a case where your graphics driver needs to be updated... but NO way for anyone to tell without hardware information

    Blue Shapes Occuring Randomly(Not Line Problem)
    I have just purchased my powerbook 1.67 1440*960. I started to see blue shapes around the windows that I move and around many things that move on the sceen after the first week of my purchase. At first I thought this was a configuration problem but it seems more like an hardware problem although the hardware test found all the devices successfull.
    In addition, when I installed call of duty, the blue shapes occur very fast and randomly everywhere on the screen making it impossible to play the game.

    Most likely one of the reasons your not getting any answers is that you need to post a link to the page.  Sifting through all that code without the ability to see the actual page makes the going slow.

  • Aspect ratio and render line issue

    When I overwrite the video from the source (top left) window to the timeline, it is changing the aspect ratio and a red 'render' line is appearing on the time line.
    The video is now zoomed in and pixelated.
    I have not had this issue while editing with my other files and the settings seem to be correct. Am I missing something super obvious?

    Backup and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

  • Random black lines in different application screens

    My MacBook Pro is displaying random black lines across the screen on various applications. They stay on the screen even if I scroll up and down, but don't go onto background applications or the desktop. Has anyone else had this issue?

    Uninstalled iTunes completely and found a older firmware for the iPod. Installed it. Then installed the iTunes 7 but did not have the iTunes update the iPod. Worked like a charm! No more black lines.

    What's the orange render line mean? I recently changed a couple of my settings for a new project and now when a clip needs rendering I see an orange line instead of the usual red one.

    It means you can SORT OF play back in real time.
    You will see an approximation of the final product.
    Option-P plays back the real deal but only as fast as your Mac can handle.

  • Random White Line

    The other day I went to use my ipod classic 120gb that I bought last year and there is now a random white line on the screen going from left to right. It is very small but obvious and annoying. I did restore the ipod and tried turning it off and on before that. The only other relevant info I have is that it was left near a window on the sill where it got very cold. My place is heated usually to 70 because it is winter and I live in massachusetts. The ipod felt very cold if I had to guess it was at least 45 degrees but it has that metal back so that could have made it feel worse. I am wondering if there are any fixes to this other than getting it repaired and if it needs to be repaired i will probably just buy a new ipod touch

    Hey I have a similar problem! But my lines are grayish and very annoying. I did the same thing to try to fix this but didn't work. I didn't even touch my ipod for 1 week and after that didn't use it for 2 weeks. The lines are still there!!! Then I Rubbed the screen and most of the lines are gone other than dots replaced where the lines were.

  • RANDOM HORIZONTAL LINES on iMac G5 (1st G)

    I have the iMac G5 (NO iSight) and some months ago I discovered some random horizontal lines that went through the whole display up or down. They are not there the whole time, sometimes when I work with Aperture or even iPhoto or Safari the lines start to appear, or sometimes when I turn on the computer. I don't think they are linked with temperature, but I do think they are related to the processor use, as when they appear I hear the fans inside, which means the more of the processor is being used. I've also tried the iMac on different homes, so it's not energy related. I got the iMac to an Apple Authorized Retailer and they changed the logic board under the extended repair for the iMac G5, but that was no luck. The lines are still here, and they don't know what is causing them. Anyone knows what I could do to get the display fixed? Any part inside? Thanks, they are very annoying.

    About the RANDOM HORIZONTAL LINES I don't have any good news for you. I contacted an Apple Authorized Reseller and they took a look at my iMac G5, and after sending photos of the lines to them they could actually get the logic board replaced through an extended warranty program Apple has with the logic board and power supply. However, I brought it home, and the lines are still here. It could be something with the actual display because they told me the logic board contained almost everything, so in my iMac the logic board is (hopefully) new, or at least working. I haven't tried plugging it in to another display. But I do think it is related with processor activity; when I run many applications that require lots of processor, the lines appear, and when the task is finished, they are gone, such as the Aperture Trial (lines here don't let you even see at your pictures correctly). I'll keep contacting the authorized reseller to see if anything comes up and I'll keep you posted.
    Please try contacting Apple in the United States. I can't, I don't live in the US. Any ideas of solving this (maybe directly from Apple) would be great. Thanks!

  • Random thick lines and loss of sensativity

    Hello. I've been having a problem with random sensativity in lines.
    On my other computer, which is several years older then the one I'm working on now, working on PS with a tablet that was Bamboo, I would draw and quite often, every other stroke or so, instead of doing the stroke, it would make a straight random line of full pen thickness instead of using any sensativity. I knew I was getting a new computer and equipment soon so I took little worry of it. Now I'm on an entirely different computer, using a different new version of PS6, an Intuos Pen and Touch Medium, and have the exact same problem. It is not a memory problem, as this new computer has nearly nothing on it, everything is on an external drive. I used to run on windows vista, and this is windows 8. I've tried downloading other programs, such as Sai, and have not had the issue in it so far, but I wish to use PS6 for all my work. Is there a setting in the tablet interface I need to fix so it doesn't have so many problems with PS? Or could it be something else? I tried using Sai briefly to see if it was the problem with the program and so far I haven't had the same issue in Sai itself.

    Are you able to try the tablet on another computer?  My first thought on reading your post was Wacom hardware or driver.  Is this only happening when brush size is set to Pen Pressure in Shape dynamics?  And does it never happen with the mouse (I'm guessing not).
    You are allowed two installations of Photoshop with your license or subscription, so you can legitimately install Photoshop on a laptop.  Reading your post again, it appears you are using a different pen and tablet, on a different computer with different operating system with a different version of Photoshop.  With odds like that working for you, you should probably rush out and get a lottery ticket!  There has to be something in common.  Some correlation between the two set ups.  Have you transferred brushes from old to new system?
    I take it you are using new drivers for the Intuos?  Wacom have had more than their share of driver glitches
    How about electrical interference?  Is the tablet resting on a device that might be radiating RF interference?
    It's a strange and interesting problem.  I'd suggest heading over to the Wacom forums, but I'd like to see how this pans out.

  • Media Encoder CS6 won't render queued project from Pr CS6

    What's up with Adobe? All of a sudden, Pr CS6 no longer works with AME. I Queue from Pr and AME launches with file in Queue. I press Render button, and it takes several minutes before anything shows up in a the Encoding tab. When it does, I get an endless "Connecting to Dynamic Link server..." message, before finally, after several minutes, it fails. Log states that it can't read the source file. I suspect this is a Dynamic Link issue, since the source file is exactly where the log says it should be. I've noticed recently that Dynamic Link hung up also when trying to send a clip to Ae to round trip effects back to Pr. I just ended up doing the work in Ae and imported it manually into Pr. So much for the heralded 'interoperability'. You spend a couple grand on CS6 Master Collection to have all the tools, and many of them have all kinds of issues. Au, for example, crashes 75% of the time when I open it. Reopen it again and it works fine. Ae often continually gives me 'program has stopped working' dialog with an option to quit, and many times it is talking about one of many instances it has launched in the background, and when I say 'quit', the main program I see just keeps on working. And now, out of the blue, Pr / AME queuing stopped working. It's worked since I installed CS6 over a year ago with no issues, with th elast time being about a month ago, now it doesn't. BTW, I'm on CS6 on an HP Z820. Win 7 Ultimate. And I tried all the solutions posted under the similar problem someone posted about the CC version. Confirmed that dynamiclinkmanager is running.
