Random video is played when clicking Disk Menu on Win

A random video is played when clicking on button “Disk Menu [Ctrl+M]”on WinDVD 7 controller. Why is this? Everithing worked fine on a Apple computer.

Please check DVDSP User Manual topic Remote Control Settings in the Chapter 17 and check you have the right settings for the remote control Menu button.
Did you try in a stand alone player and/or another PC DVD software (i.e. VLC Player)?

Video: Some play on "Click to Activate", some don't

Setup:
Using ID 5 and Acrobat X
Using "place a video from an url" in media tab
Showing Play and Mute buttons overlay on mouseover
All videos are flv and in same folder on website
Videos range between 5 and 25 megs
Problem:
When viewing in Acrobat reader or in browser (IE), some videos will play on intial click (click to activate) and some you have to click on the video, then click the play button for it to start playing.
If I close out and reopen, sometimes the ones that took two clicks only now need one click and vice versa.
Any ideas why this may be hapening?

They are all set the same. Play when clicked, Disable when "Disable Content" is selected in the context menu.
Play when clicked is the only option because I don't want them auto playing on page load.
I tried the other disable option, Disable when page containing the content is closed, it made one work right but broke one that was working, lol.
I think it is a bug since it randomly decides which one takes one click or two.

Is it possible to trigger an event when clicking context menu trigger icon?

When opening a context menu on a UI element, is it possible to trigger an event to handle, eg. set the lead selection for this context element to which the UI element is bound, when clicking the menu trigger icon ?

First, these NW04s menus are not really context menus. They are static menus that are rendered within the view layout. Real context menus will come later.
There is no "onMenuOpen" event for an application.

Linking to an audio file, getting it to play when clicked

Hi
I have uploaded a small .asx audio file onto my server.
I would like to link to it so that it plays on win media player or similar when clicked.
However I have linked to it in the same way you would any other page or file, but it asks you to open it rather than it playing.
Can I do it so that the audio just plays when clicked??

The way that a file is used on the client computer is determined by how you define its filetype on your server and how the individual browser is configured to handle it. You basically have little control here, especially with an ASX file. A more accessible way to play audio in a browser is through Flash/SWF. You can google for 'flowplayer' to find a free option that does not require you to own Flash.

Finder menu not accessible. When clicking finder menu all icons blink. Clock gone. Safari quits "help data plug in" Etc.

When I attempt to click anywhere on my top menu bar all of my desktop icons blink and I am not able to access anything such as my apple icon, shut down or restart or file, etc. My clock is gone, my search bar is gone, etc. Safari also keeps quitting unexpectedly while using the "help data" plug in. I can attempt to add video of the action if necessary if you need it. Any help would be really appreciated. First time using the community. Thank you!

Update: If I click somewhere in the menu bar everything flashes as previously posted. But if I click the menu bar again after the flash I can then access the options in the bar, but everthing still missing as reported and safari crashing.

How do you make a video automatically play when the user gets to a certain point/pixel?

I'm trying to create a website with a video embedded in using the YouTube widget. I want the video to start playing when the top of the widget reaches the top of the screen, in this case at 400 pixels. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance!

How do you make a movieclip display and play when click on a button

I'm looking to have a movie clip pop up, play itself after a user clicks on a flash navigation button.

How you code that depends a bit on how you design the movieclip. You could make the movieclip have an empty first frame that it is stop()-ed at, and tell it to play() in the event handler function. Or you could have the movie's visible property initially set to false and stop()-ed at frame 1 and have the event handler set the visible property to true and tell the movieclip to play();
The key is to have a plan where the movieclip is waiting to play and has an instance name assigned to it that you can use to command it to play when you want it to.

Why is page generating request when clicked on menu?

Here is the sequence of activities in my application:
1. User works on screen1
2. He clicks on menu item, to go to screen2
On the server it is observed that
3. A request for screen1 is received. Then is received the request for screen2.
Why is request for screen1 received on server?
How do I ensure that request for screen1 is not sent to server?

This is how JSF works - events post back to the same page, even though you may end up navigating. This is called the "postback" pattern if you'd like to read more about it.

In iphoto, videos not playing when I double click it.

My pics are fine when i double click but not my videos. I have to click and drag the video to quicktime on the bottom and when it does play, its really laggy and slow, help please, thanks

How to acess audio on a video clip... it plays when clicked on seperately,but not in movie.

I have created a movie. It will not play the audio, but when I expand the view to expert, the audio shows up.. it just does not play. It does play the narration added to the pictures in the clip... What can I do. Yes, the volume on the computer is on and turned up.

What version Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system? Premiere Elements 12/12.1 by any chance?
In your project, did you have audio on the numbered audio track and lost the sound for that once you added the narration to the project,
using the project Narration Tool? If 12, that is a known issue. Please refer to
ATR Premiere Elements Troubleshooting: PE12: Audio Losses After Narration Addition
Please determine if the above applies to your situation. And, then we will decide what next.

Why do my videos stop playing when I change them from "Home Videos" to "Music Videos"?

I have a bunch of music videos that I loaded onto my iPad Mini but it loads them as "Home Videos".
I went into the 'get info' and changed them to "Music Videos" and resynced the device.
Now when I go to play a video it acts like it's going to play then just stops.
The video worked just fine as a "Home Video" but not as a "Music Video", even if I change it back to "Home Video".
Anybody know what the deal with this is?

Welcome to the forum.
Be sure that your sequence's settings (see easy setup command in Final Cut Express HD menu) match the format for your video material (like DV NTSC or PAL or HDV) before capture anything. Pay attention to shoot with a 16 bit audio mode, not 12 bit, and use a 48kHz setting for audio in easy setup dialog.
FCE HD can only edit natively standard DV or HDV media captured on tape based camcorder.

GarageBand becoming unresponsive when clicking 'Share' menu

So, I'm done with my project, and I need to get it out of GB. When I click the Share menu, GB hangs and becomes unresponsive. I have to resort to Force Quit.
I've replicated this 5 or 6 times now. Anyone else having the same issue?

I created a small loop based tune of about 50 secs yesterday. Touch wood, I could share it successfully to iTunes and also write on disk, no issues.
I'm on GB 11 and os 10.6.4

Premier Elements 12 locks up when downloading disk menu

I Just install PE12. Tried with both 12 and 12.1, same results. When i choose tools, add menu, i get the option to select one. I right click it to download it, see the progress bar complete but get a whote rectangle where the menu used to be displayed and a cursor indicating waitng. Then after trying to do anythign else, PE12 goes into not responding mode, then crashes eventually and closes. Seems like there has to be something obvious I'm missing. Tried new install, update to 12.1, download all, same or similar results.

For now I am assuming that you are on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit computer.
1. Right click the Premiere Elements 12 icon on the computer desktop and then select Run As Administrator, even assuming that you are running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges...are you? Then what happens to the problem? Still there?
2. Slideshow/Pan and Zoom installs with the program and is not part of what is considered Content Download.

So, this appears to be more than a "Content Download" matter.
3. Determine if all the Disc Menus files can be found on the computer hard drive. See blog post link above for paths to. Did you install the program to the default location or create a new location?
4. If problem still there and program install location choice is not the issue, try deleting the Premiere Elements 12 Settings File.

and in the 12.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then you delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path.
5. If problem still there.... then we are looking at deactivate, uninstall, ccleaner run through, reinstall with antivirus and firewalls turned Off.
What is your antivirus program. If McAfee, then disable it before any of this troubleshooting to determine if it is the problem or contributing to it.

Sounds out the original video start playing when I have muted them

In my video I set the volume of the original video to 0% and added a song for the entire edited video. When I play the video on big screen, on certain parts, it still plays the sounds of the original videos until I pause it and continue it. Even if I export the video the original sounds play through.Disturbing What can I do to get these sounds out of it entirely?

I would guess that you are using either fast motion or slow motion. There is a bug in iMovie 09 which makes random audio artifacts when you set the speed slider to anything other than 25%, 50%, 100%, 200%, 400%, 800% (i.e. the Presets with the tick marks).
If you choose another speed, like 139% or 58%, you will get tha audio problems.
Change your speed to one of the tick marks and that should solve the problem.
