Random white screen then restarts
While I'm using my 2011 iMac, the screen will randomly turn white and then eventually black as if the computer is shutting down. I can hear the startup sound as if its trying to reboot itself but it only gets to the gray loading screen, turns black and then tries to start up again. I manually shut it down to get it out of this loop. When I turn it on again, it loads just fine but after a couple of minutes of surfing the web, the whole process will start all over again.
I've update to the latest OS (10.10.1). Sometimes when I reboot, it gives me a graphics card error message or a split screen version of my desktop. I've tried a hardware reset, safeboot, PRAM reset and none of them seem to make a difference. The safe boot loaded with graphics missing from the desktop.
Is anyone else having this problem? I would really appreciate any help with this.

I'm struggling with installing on my laptop (Acer Aspire 5532). After it completes loading "archiso.img" I get a white screen for about 3 seconds then a reboot, back to the original menu.
I assumed, given that it was a white screen, that it was an issue with the resolution so I've tried "nomodeset" and "vga=782" (and other vga values) but I end up with the same result, I'm guessing it is a kernel issue.
Note: only one of my RAM sticks is properly recognised.
Laptop specs:
Bios: InsydeH2O Version V1.11
CPU: AMD Athlon x2 L310 ~1.2GHz
Memory: Samsung 2048MB RAM DDR2 single-channel 241.3MHz Part number: M4 70T5663EH3-CF7

HDD has 4 partitions: 100MB NTFS boot flag, 413.12GB NTFS (Win7 OS), 19.53GB ext4 (for future Arch OS), 33.01GB ext4 (for future Arch storage).

Since you are on Windows, download this software from here: http://www.winmd5.com/download/winmd5free.zip. Open the software then browser to the arch iso. Next, if you have downloaded the April snapshot paste this into the last text box : ae8caf8cd356dfcc24a4b645fd815185. Then click verify. If both the values match, We will see from there. If it doesn't you have a corrupted iso. Also do mention if you are doing it via usb or cd. And tell us what method you are using to get the arch linux iso on your usb.

Ever since I upgraded to iOS 5.1, whenever I tried to edit a photo, my iPod freezes, the screen turns all messed up, and causes my iPod to restart. Is there any way I can fix this without reconfiguring and such?

Desktop restart shows flickering black/white screen, then black. Could not restart. Anyone else with this issue?
Have the PRAM battery looked at. It may be all that is needed.

Try starting your iMac with the original DVD that came with the machine then launch disk utility to repair your hard drive.

Help! As of today, my iMac will not boot up. When I turn it on I get a blank white screen then, after about a minute, a blinking folder icon with a question mark in the middle.
Find your original install disk, insert it and re-boot holding the "C" key during startup. It will take longer but should boot. Then you need to select Disk Utilityfrom the Menu Bar. Do a Repair Disk on your hard drive. When it finishes re-boot normally.

IF the issue persists, and you cant otherwise use the phone, you may need to put the phone into recovery mode and restore it from a backup in iTunes.

As mentioned already in this thread this phone needs to go to a Nokia Care Point.
The phone has crashed and needs the software needs to be re-programmed by an engineer.

Pod Freezes Then Goes Onto A White Screen Then Apple Logo Screen, Should I Bring It To Best Buy?
My Pod lately has been going very slow but doesn't have very much Apps or music in it & today it just freezer on my games and then it went onto a white screen then the black Apple logo screen. It's been doing this for a month already. Should I bring it in ?
How old is it? And do you have Black Tie Protection on it?

OK, just remembered that someone had posted a solution for this "login loop" issue.
If you follow the directions here and be sure to enter all of this EXACTLY as it appears here, you may be able to solve this problem.
You will first need to boot into single user mode, which will bring you to a scary looking text only screen. Don't be frightened.
To do this, startup holding the Cmd-S keys together. At the entry which shows root# enter the following exactly. Write it down now, since you won't be able to copy/paste. Pay attention to case and spaces. Everything is lower case. The only spaces are between /sbin/mount and -uw, between -uw and / and between rm and /var/audit/current
Type in
/sbin/mount -uw /
Hit return and then at the next root# prompt, type in
rm /var/audit/current
Then hit return and at the next root# prompt type in "reboot" no quotes. Don't type in anything new until you get the root# prompt after entering each command.
If after entering rm /var/audit/current, you get a message back saying "no such file," then just type in "reboot" at the prompt.

No audio when importing mp4 files into iTunes.
Since recently, whenever I import an MP4 of M4V file into iTunes, it either deletes the audio, or the video becomes shocky. When I play the same files in VLC they do work. That is great and all, but since I use Apple TV I need them to work in iTunes.
