Randomly missing calls
Hey all, last 4 weeks, randomly missing calls.Home, at work, everywhere.
Sometimes goes to voicemail,sometimes not,Do not disturb is not on.
SIM card replaced.Redid network settings.Sprint says it is tower problems
and I say B.S. Because my daughter has a 5 S and my wife 4 S
and they have no problems. Is this Apple or a Sprint problem.

If this does not work you will have to activate a different smartphone (to keep your data plan) and then reactivate your fascinate
and it will update for you
I know this is a lot of hassle to update your phone
This Phone has never been good about update's A lot of people have this problem

Missing Calls and texts, seemingly at random. + Other problems.
I just found out that my phone is not receiving many calls and texts, I figured it was just a slow couple of days.
Several different numbers just get VM, some get through but don't ring and I get a beep an hour or so later and notification of a missed call. Some that couldn't get through go straight to VM or 25 seconds and drop or busy signal.
I haven't received more than 2 text messages in the past two days which is quite out of the ordinary as that is how my friends and I communicate throughout the day.
Just got off the phone with tech support and did all their stuff. At first I couldn't connect to their test line and the support couldn't call me, then a full reset and he could call me and I could connect so we figured it was solved. Had one known problem number call again with the same result, so problem is not solved here at all.
My calendar also wiped the other day without my command to, and then proceeded to sync back to my gmail and wipe that calendar as well. As one might assume this caused me some major problems with my business, work and school schedule.
Last night I was having issues with sound, either my they couldn't hear me, or I couldn't hear them for about a half hour and a half dozen redials.
This is already my second droid, I had to go through 3 of my last phone with Verizon and am to the point of just paying the fee to cancel because I have had nothing but trouble with them since the start. If there is not some solid answer to this problem, I guess it is time for me to be done with this company, because it's track record with me is very poor and getting worse as time goes on.I recommend doing a PRL Update. You can do this by dialing *228 send and choosing option 2.

HELP! I am missing calls while listening to music on my iPhone 5.

Completelty upgraded to iOS 7.1.1
Apps set to automatically update
Carrier: Verizon
Location - Atlanta, GA
This use to happen occassionally, but has become a more frequent issue as of late. When I am listening to my music player or watching Netflix/Amazon on my phone I am randomly missing phone calls.
For example...just this morning, my wife called me and said "are you OK, I've called 4 times." My reaction was once again annoyance and disbelief because I was simply driving down the interstate listening to my music. The phone never stopped the music to answer the call on her first four attempts and then the call apparently went through on her 5th attempt.
This has happened at least once EVERY day this week. I have missed calls from my friends, nanny and most importantly about 10-12 calls from my wife.
It really does appear to be completely random because once this week my wife called while I was driving into work listening to my music and the call came through on the first attempt. My music paused, I clicked ANSWER...no problems at all. The call lasted a few minutes, we hung up, and my music automatically started back up. 30 minutes later she called me back, while I was listening to music and the call never came through to me. My music didnt stop, my phone didnt ring and I do not have a missed call on my call log. She however showed me her call log and sure enough it took her 4 times to reach me for that second call.
Sometimes it only blocks one attempt on her part...other times it can be 3 or 4. Needless to say, this is becoming a very annoying issue.
I do not have the "Do Not Distrub" feature activated. I have NEVER used that feature. Here are the settings, which I presume are the default setting, under the DND menu: Again, these must be the default setting because I have not touched them. Ever.
Manual - turned off
Scheduled - turned off
Allow calls from - Favorites. I do not have any "favorites" programmed into my contacts.
Repeated Calls - this is turned ON
Silence - this has "Only while iPhone is locked" selected.
Also, my phone will periodically, randomly tell me I have a voice mail but not make a noise and not ring at all. Text messages are also being ignored. No sound, no buzz, and then all of a sudden I get abanner notification of having a voice mail/text message.
Again, it works MOST Of the time with no issue.
Any thoughts on this?
Anyone else having the same issue?
Could this be a bug with iOS 7.1.1???

BenI skimmed through this very long post but from what I read, this sounds much more like a coverage issue with your network than a device issue. I have not seen or heard of this issue before and I do not have this issue personnally and & I use the music app quite frequently while working in the yard.
The DND feature should not be a factor at all if you're sure it's turned off. I always recommend restarting your phone by holding down the home button + the lock button for 10-12 seconds until the Apple logo appears. Once the phone reboots, do a test to see if this has helped to resolve the issue.
If not, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then, test it out again. Post back if neither of these solutions solve your issue. -
Is there an easy way to see missed call details in X2 without needing to unlock the phone..The lock screen hides all the relevant details and This is a great nuisance.

To just check the missed calls I have to unlock the mobile......
If I just press any key in random it shows the unlock phone screen.....I can view the battery indicator new message icon,.ignal strentgh icon in the top....Why cant nokia have a missed call icon also on the top.....
Just a single key press can lightup the phone and I can see the missed call on the top like the battery staus and signal strength and ..... -
My iPhone is not automatically ignoring random incoming calls. Any help?
So I have the iPhone 4 and it has been having the tendency of ignoring phone calls. But I don't even get a notification for a missed call. I have no idea that the call even took place unless the person leaves a voicemail or if they tell me later. It is just getting really frustrating. It also happens randomly. It's happened in the middle of the day, it's happened late at night, it just happens all the time. I don't know what the problem could be. Any suggestions?
Your phone is not ignoring them... You service is lacking. So when the caller has dialed you and the phone is ringing, if the service provider doesn't locate your phone, you just get a v-mail.

Missed Calls that never happened.
My husband and I ordered ipods together because we liked the facetime feature. However, sometimes we'll both be sitting in the same room and one ipod will randomly call the other without us even touching it. Other times one of them will say we missed a facetime call from the other person at a random time (like 2am when we were both sleeping, or in the middle of the day when the ipod is in plain view and it never rang).
We only miss calls from each other, as we're currently the only people on each others contact lists. Does anyone else have this problem too??itsamberduh wrote:

You can both test with me if you like. Click my name at left for my test contact info. I don't think testing with me can help fix anything, but it might give you additional info for the technicians if you need to have your iPod serviced.

Missed call not showing on lock screen
Is it possible that sometimes, the missed call doesn't show on the lock screen, but when i enter the lock code and unlock the phone, i find "1" next to the phone icone indicating that there is one missed call? taking into consideration that i hadn't used the ophone for 2 hours and the time of the missed call was during the phone was idle.
actually i am not sure, i migh have just slided tto unclock before i had a chance to look at teh lock screen and see if there are missed calls :S i just want to make sure if there can be a bug or something that might casue it not to show.

i have an iphone 4 and right after updating to ios 6.1.3, I noticed that:
If i have a missed call, and it appears on the lock screen, then i receive a call from another contact, sometimes, after i end the call, the missed call disappears from the lock screen. And even when i unlock the phone and access it, i don't find the "1" beside the phone icon indicating that i have a missed call. the same thing happens when i get a call waiting while i am in the middle of a call. sometimes when i hang up, i find the missed call remaining on the lock screen, while other times, it is completely gone.
This doesn’t happen all the time. Just randomly. It causes me to miss some calls, unless I go into the call register list, then I find the name of the contact written in red.
I tested it with someone else’s iphone 4 and it does the same randomly as well. The iphone 4S doesn’t do it.
i would love to know if others are experiencing the same thing. I tried the same with a friend's iphone 4 and the same thing happens randomly! Did anyone else notice it? Will there b an update to fix it?
what surprised me is that when i googled the issue, i didn't find it on any communicty. maybe i am using the wrong search terms. -

When I select "Phone" on my home screen the iPhone attempts to open it, brings up a white screen and then will shut back down. I have 8 missed calls or voicemails yesterday and I couldn't check any of them. Does this happen to anyone else?
Also, when I receive a call and I answer it does not give me the ability to end call or any of my options (sources, keypad,etc.) during the call.
Basically, I can't do anything with my contacts, favorites, missed calls or voicemails.
Can someone please help?I have tried that multiple times. I have also made sure that I have the latest updates. Would haveing 27,000+ contacts have anything to do with it?

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try reseating or replacing the SIM card.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).

IPhone 5s won't ring or show missed calls
I have a a new iPhone 5s, and new service with Virgin. Its been working fine for the past month. Suddenly, today it stopped ringing on incoming calls. Neither, does the phone vibrate. Additionally, incoming calls do not show in the "Missed Call" log. If the caller leaves a voice-mail, that will show, and I will get my audible notification. The phone is not in "mute" and the "Do Not Disturb" is not turned on. The volume is turned all the way up. All other sound-features are working. The software is up-to-date. I've tried calling my phone from a land-line at my office, as well as a cell-phone from another provider. My bill was paid in full 4 days ago. I have tried turning the phone off completely, twice, and the issues persists. Some advice I've read here said to reset the phone. But several users stated that this did not fix the problem. Prior to this phone, I used an iPhone 4, for four years, and never had this problem. Help! I missed my phone-call interview for the Dream Job I have been shooting for for ten years. I HAVE to resolve this before my rescheduled interview on Monday. Please help!!
You need to reset your iphone settings by go to setting opetion.

Jabber and Missed Call history

I am looking for and explanation or a document around expected behavior for how the Call Log works within the Jabber for Windows client. Our customers setup has Jabber for windows deployed in Deskphone Control mode, where the Jabber clients control a single physical phone. Predominantly a 7945 series phone. How in Sync is the "CALL HISTORY" (missed call, placed call, received call) lists within the Jabber client with the physical phone itself. Examples:
If we miss a call on the physical phone and Jabber is opened, we noticed that both the physical phone and Jabber client report a missing call.
If we miss a call and Jabber is closed, we notice the physical phone reports a missed call, but when Jabber sign's in the "MISSED Call" is not reported on the Jabber client.
Is this expected behavior?
if anyone can provide context or has a document that explains the expected behavior this would be very helpful to me.

Just for clarity, I'm not talking about a CSF registered phone, I'm talking about Jabber running in Deskphone Control mode. So yes in a hopeful way I would expect the call history from the physical phones to be in sync since deskphone control is just remotely controlling the phone. I suppose the call history on a physical phone is likely stored locally on the phone itself and this is why they call logs do not remain in sync but i just wanted to confirm that this is a fact vs an assumption.

Jabber for iPhone, Incoming Calls go Missed Call
Incoming Calls on Jabber for iPhone, shows immediately as a missed Call.Has anyone had this issue? It is intermittent, and happens especially when the Mobile is locked.

Ok, a wish for the next iOS release, just a small anoying thing.
Scenario:
I have a missed call, the screen is locked. The name of the caller shows up on the screen, I slide the phone icon and phone back.
When I've ended the call there is still a notification of a missed call, i.e. the same missed call that I just called back. To clear the missed call red circle icon on the phone icon (in the unlocked state and the notification on the locked screen) I must open the missed call list. Then it clears.
My wish is that the phone understands that it should clear that missed call after I returned the call since I have obviously noted it.

/ErikYou have to return the call via the recent list or tap the red missed call entry in recent list otherwise even a hundred calls won't turn the balloon off.

Cannot access Recent/Missed Calls List iPhone 3GS
Hello,
Recently, without any known change to the phone (no update, firmware, change setting, etc.) I cannot access the Recents folder (list of all calls) on the phone. This is the folder at the bottom of the phone screen when you access the phone and is listed along with the Favorites, Contacts, Keypad and Voicemail folders. Also, the phone will still display the incoming call while its ringing, but it wont show the missed call callout box you normally see when you miss calls. Caller ID still works and all other phone features work normal. Strangely enough, the little red numbers that display how many unviewed calls are in that folder still works and keeps on adding up
When I try and access that folder, I get a little screen flash and the phone goes back to the desktop screen.
This is what I have tried:
-Upgraded software to 4.3.4 The upgrade was successful. Did not fix problem.
-Backed up the phone and did a restore through itunes. Did not fix problem.
- Did a phone reset through the phone settings. Did not fix problem.
I don't know what else to do. This feature is very imporant to me.
