Randomly quits and returns to blue log-in screen

At random times the grey rotating gear will come up, everything will quit, and I'll be back to the initial log-in screen. Seems to happen when I have multiple applications open.

Make sure you've emptied your Trash. Extra RAM will be a wise addition.
What Application are you running when this problem occurs? Is it the same one every time ?
If you're familiar with the Console application then launch it and post a segment of its line by line display just before your system requires a new login. Do this immediately after you login.
Are you using Fast User switching and if so do you have other accounts logged in ?
If you have another account defined on your system then login to it and perform same things you did under the account you experienced your problem and post back if problem persists.
Do you have any external devices connected to your iBook? If so disconnect them and see if problem goes away.
Are you running off the battery or the main line power supply? What is your battery charge level?

1. first try to reboot your ipad
if that don't work then try downloading another app don't matter which one
and if it fix your problem you can just delete it afterwards

My Ipad Mini Keeps Closing Apps and Returning back to the Home Screen?

Hi,
I bought an ipad mini at the beginning of December and i have had problems with it ever since.
For some reason i could be in the middle of doing something (doesnt matter what app or what i'm doing) and it will just shut down and return to the home screen so i then have to open the app again?
Its quite frustrating and i have searched the web high and low for other similar problems but i cannot find anything.
I am using the ios 6.0.2.

Submit program B and return to program A selection screen

Dear all,
I have program A with selection screen and this program display listing.
In program A, when user choose the option to display another report listing in selection screen, then in program A, will have submit program B with ... and return
May I know how can make the program B after showing the listing go back to program A selection screen and not continue to display program A report listing?

How do I return from the log out screen?

I am testing an installation of a forum module in a Muse site. The module works but when I log out I get stuck at the log out screen. I have tried to use use hyperlinks manager to choose a browser window with no success. I am hoping that users will be able to easily return to the Muse site.

Random quiting and closing

I was having problems yesterday. Heres an unneccesary story detailing everything.
I was downloading a video from iTunes (and playing music), and converting a video with MPEG streamclip. (I deal with music and video primarily)
For some reason when I opened folders and right-clicked the files it would QUIT the finder. I'm still fairly new to Mac, but I don't think you can quit finder. It did this with all files. Then in iTunes, when I right-clicked a song or video iTunes, then clicked "get info", it would also quit. I had to keep opening iTunes to keep the download going. There were a lot of files in the trash so I emptied it, and the right-clicking seemed to get better. I also restarted the Mac and decided to run Nortan Anti (i'm a little paranoid) About halfway through the main hard drive, OSX quit. I got a screen telling me to restart the computer by holding the power button. I turned it back on this morning but havnt used it yet. (Home computer)
So, any ideas on what happened?
Is it a right-clicking issue?

Sounds like a kernel panic. It's rare, and somewhat akin to a Windows Blue Screen of Death (BSoD). Make sure you send in your error report to Apple with as much detail as possible. Then, run the Software Updater (Apple Menu -> Software Update...) to make sure you have the latest OS X upgrades. If this keeps happening, reboot your computer with your OS X disc in the optical drive, and boot from it. Run the Disk Utility from it, and make sure your hard disk isn't damaged. If the problem continues to occur, call AppleCare. They might have to step you through a system restoration.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your account and try the Reset again.
If no joy... Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore...

Bypass selecting a user and going straight to log in screen.

When i boot my computer up it comes to the Ctrl alt delete screen, like it is supposed to. But when i press ctrl alt delete it brings me to a screen where i have to select a profile and the only profile available is "Other User". I
want to know how to bypass that screen and go to entering the username and password immediately after hitting ctrl alt delete.

If my understanding is right, after pressing ctrl alt del, you want to enter the username and password instead of clicking Other User.
Please take the following steps to fix this issue:
1. Run regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
2. If you have a .DEFAULT key in the left pane as a subkey under the ProfileList key, then right click on .DEFAULT, and click on Delete.
Note: please back up the registry before this change.

There are horizontal white lines through display picture, and some vertical blue lines. sometimes screen is all black, sometimes whited out, sometimes half white lines, half completely unvisible. white lines have spread from just a few on top

Problems like this can be caused by a cable pinched in the hinge. When you start seeing the display problems, does adjusting the angle of the display make a difference?
There is a known logic board fault in this model iBook which resulted in the iBook Logic Board Repair Extension Program. However, in my experience, if the logic board is involved with display anomalies, it causes the system to freeze up, necessitating a hard shutdown and waiting several hours for a restart. Another symptom of the logic board problem is if pressure on the case to the left of the trackpad on the left wrist rest improves the situation.
Based on my experience, it sounds more like a cable caught in the hinge, since you're not seeing system freezes. Let us know if adjusting the display's angle (a bit forward or a bit back) makes a difference.

My MPB randomly returns to log in screen

and am currently running 10.6.8...
I use my laptop in lectures a lot and it seems that randomly (usually when I'm typing quite a lot) the whole screen rotates as a cube and returns to the log in screen asking me for my password.
Once I log in it rotates back exactly where I left off, only there will be a chunk missing from audio (if I'm recording)
It is really anoying, if anyone has any advice how to stop this it would be much appreciated...
(It began doing it when I uprgaded to Lion so I reverted to Snow Leopard but now that I'm back at university the problem has reappeared even in Snow Leopard... just not quite as frequently as before.)

Yes I can log in but as soon as I do the same malware message pops up then my mac resets back to the log in screen and this loop just keeps repeating itself. Log in, when I do at it loads I get the malware sign, then it crashes and returns me to the log in, repeat. After logging in, my mac is unresponsive so I can't seem to do anything before it goes back to the log in screen.
I'm able to use my mac as normal when opened in safe mode, and I have tried turning off the log in password screen. Then when I try to use my mac out of safe mode the same message comes up then it just crashes, reloads then crashes again.

           Welcome to HP forum. Wow this is not supposed to happen. Lets start with sleep mode setting to begin with. Left click your mouse any where on your screen. Goto personalize click it. Click on screen saver icon. Change the wait time 20+ minutes. Then right below that click on Change power settings. Next window under Select a power plan select high performance. On the left side click on Choose when to turn off display. Next window set the settings like this:
          Dim the display                    10 minutes     Click on upside triangle to this.
       Turn off the display               15 minutes
         Put computer to sleep            Never
        Adjustment plain brightest      Move slider to far right Maximum. You can still use the dimmer keys afterwards.
       Click save changes. Now close out all opened windows. Finished.
       Now we have to figure out why your computer media is allowing for shutting down. Lets try running a pc tune up and than we will run disk defragmenter and disck clean up and see if this resolves the media issue. Open up HP Support Assistant. Click on maintain. Click on Tune up. Next window click on view settings. Next window click on Click here to display (Bar).....
Put a ckeck mark in all display boxes check mark apply then click on OK. Next window click on Tune up now.
        After this is completed close it out. Now goto accessories then click on system tools Cick on disk defragmenter click on Analyzed disk then when it finished click or Defragment disk. When finished close it.
        Now go back and open up disk clean up. Click on Ok and follow directions given. Hopefully this will fix the issue. If not then you need to tell up what program you were using so we can help reinstall it again.

Submir Report "RSNAST00" and passing parametrs to the selection screen

Hello ABAP,
I have to code a Report/TA which gathers some info and then calls RSNAST00.
The info gathering part is done.
The info gathered shall be transferred to the report RSNAST00 or to it´s selection screen, tho the selection screen should not be visible. And then RSNAST00 shall do it´s normal job.
Any hints how i can pass those parameters and make that selection screen not appear?

1. We have to use the comand SUBMIT with the program name and some extensions.
(please see F1 help on it)
2. This will call the required program.
3. We can also pass the required values using WITH Var1 = Val1
4. we can use the extension AND RETURN so that the selection screen of RSNAST00 does not appear on screen.

Blocked user accessing log in screen

Hello all
I have the EA4500 router with cisco connect cloud, must say this router is great for limiting kids online.
1 question I have however is the ability for a blocked user (internet access block) that is redirected to the cisco web site and presented with a log in screen. Is there anyway I can disable this becuase the kids stay up all night trying to figure out the password to log in, I just want it to say internet access blocked with no option for logging in for the blocked user.

If you keep getting a 'red' message it means that the HDD is faulty and will have to be replaced. You will have to format the new HDD in Disk Utility>Erase and then install the OSX and your data from Time Machine.
