Rapid Installer CD label SAP:RAPID_J2ee-cd:700:j2ee-cd:J2EE-CD:*

I have downloaded package 51033323 SAP Rapid Installer NW 7.0 SPS14 1 to 8 and ran into the error message particularly the error message showed--Install is looking for the package with CD label SAP:RAPID_J2ee-cd:700:j2ee-cd:J2EE-CD:*. Is this CD label bundled with the download?
Documentation indiactes that SAP Netweaver 7.0 Rapid Installer for SPS14 is two DVD's. The second DVD has ( Java Load with app. 4GB) What are the equivalent package numbers that should be downloaded.

Error in ERP 6.0 Rapid Installer - "brconnect.exe - Entry Point Not Found"

I have the installer for ERP 6.0 + NW 7.0, but option "SAP System" was missing in installation menu.
Then I downloaded ERP 6.0 (Rapid Installer, Oracle) from market place
Followed the following steps
    - Install Oracle 10.2.0.1.0
    - Install downloaded ERP 6.0 (Rapid Installer)
    - But this stopped with an error
        brconnect.exe - Entry Point Not Found
            The procedure entry point longjmp could not be located in the dynamic link library orauts.dll.
orauts.dll is oracle' client dll
When I checked BRTool' version using command

Here make mode is "OCI_10103_SHARE"
Rapid installer guide as well as documentation shows that this setup supports Oracle 10.2 but BRTools version shows compatibility with 10.1.
Is it error because of database version mismatch?

Check for the ora<sid> group and also check the env variable for ora<sid>. This should solve the issue.

Rapid Installer ESS / MSS

We installed Portal using Rapid Installer. SAP Netweaver 2004s EP 7 SP11 with ESS MSS Scenario. I do not know what version of ESS MSS version it is. I am expecting it to be ESS MSS 1.0.
Now with respect to SCAs for the code when I navigate the CMS screens I see ESS MSS 700. But when I try to download SCA's the latest release I see is ESS MSS 600. Any body know about the actual version of SCA's that I should be using keeping in mind of the Rapid Installer.
Any help appreciated.

Can Rapid Installer be used in a Windows AMD X64 Environment?

Can Rapid Installer be used in a Windows AMD X64 environment to install 64-bit versions of EP 7.0/ESS/MSS, SAP Java AS, and MS SQL 2005; and if not, does Rapid Installer 32-bit have to be executed remotely from a 32-bit system?

TREX problem: Rapid Installer 2.0

First I try to install EP 6.0 SR1 with Rapid Installer 2.0, I got an trex error in the installation. In this forum (read by Nicky Gromeleit) I got the information that installing TREX in rapid installation is not possible so I try again the following steps:
1) Install only EP platform succesfully
2) Install TREX manually succesfully
3) I have configured IIS 6.0 for TREX
4) After entering the name server adress in the SAP J2EE Engine Adminisatrator Tool I got only com.sapportals.wdf.WdfErrors in the TREX monitor, although the adress and port is correct. I use the url which you can see in "settings/ Landscape Overview" after starting trexgui.exe.
Did I forget something or must I change something else?

I had the same problem in the rapidinstallation, but the installation of Trex manualy works fine. I used the port, witch you can find opening 'Drive:\usr\sap\TREX_<Instance>\sapprofile.ini' at line 'TREX/NameServer/Port'
In the Visual Administrator "-> Server 0 -> Services -> TREX Service" I changed the
Parameter 'nameserver.address' in my case to 'tcpip://localhost:port'
Nothing else is to do. So I did nearly the same as you, but maybe the port differs.

Rapid Installer

EP folks,
We have EP 6.0 SP3 and we would like to try the mighty Rapid Installer. As far as I know, what is available is Rapid Installer 1.0 (delivered on DVD, when ordered through local SAP rep). I've understood that Rapid Installer 2.0 will be available some time early '05.
My question is, if I can use Rapid Installer 1.0 to install my EP 6.0 SP3 (or later). I think I've seen an (old?) slide, where Rapid Installer was referring to EP 6.0 SP2, but my goal is SP3 (or later).

I have used RI 2.1 to install the Portal 6.0 SP 10 without anu problems, last week. The DVD for the Rapid Installer can be ordered directly from the marketplace. It includes RI 2.0 and 2.1

Error when Installing NW04 using Rapid Installer:FJS-00003 ReferenceError

Hi friends,
As a part of Portal migration, i am installing NW04 using Rapid Installer 2.5.1 for SunOS.
Installation went fine till phase "Database Oracle Patch" but in "Oracle Sidadm Env" phase, an error occured.
Acc. to sapinst.log file:
FJS-00003 ReferenceError: mgt is not defined (in script InstallationScript_10, line 12689: ???)
I searched in SDN and found SAP Note 785921 and 668604. Both are asking us to do the same thing i.e.
After the following line in control.xml
"OraJ2ee.prototype.CreateProfilesFromTemplate = function() { "
insert the line
var mgt = new FileMgt();
I did the same but no luck. I stopped the installation and again started it to see if it works but again the same thing.
Can some one just tell me how to get rid off it?

Hi Asshish,
After installing the oracle database did you check whether JDK version is correct in the environment variables before installing the rapid installer.
What happens is that oracle resets the JDK version to lower version, which is not acceptable to portal. So after installing the oracle verify the version of JDK in the Environment variables and the JAVA_HOME variable.
Then you try to install the RI 2.5.1

Correct path is only number 51033526 for BS 2005 SR3 Java Components
But this installation I guess need number 51033513 NW 7.0 SR3 SP14 Java based SW Comp.

Rapid Installer - MS SQL server requirements

I am wanting to install the SAP Netweaver 2.1 Rapid Installer package. It states that it requires MS SQL Server Enterprise edition. Can the Rapid Installer be installed with MS SQL server standard edition instead of Enterprise edition?

hi david, i'm trying to install Rapid Installer 2.1 on my PC and during installation i got this error message:
ERROR 2005-09-12 16:28:18
MDB-05508 Errors were found when checking connection to or configuration of database server (listed above in the log file).
is it possible that this occurs 'cause my DB is MS SQL SERVER 2000 and not Enterprise edition ? consider that this version of DB was included in RI pack installation

Rapid Installer includes Visual Composer?

Hi all,
I want to install and run NetWeaver Portal. It is planned to be connected to SAP BI. In a later step, it should be possible to create applications/models via the Visual Composer.
Now my question: Could anybody say something about their experience with the Rapid Installer and if it's recommendable for purpose at all? I'm afraid that VC is not part of the Rapid Installer, am I right? If so, is it difficult to implement it later on?

If you want to use the Rapid Installer (RA) for NetWeaver 2004s, the answer is YES the VC is included
For previous version is not included and you must install your portal with the RA and afterwards install the Visual Composer.

Im running Win XP SP3 32bit on Virtual Box. I downloaded SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.02 SP6 32-bit Trial (http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/library/uuid/80db43c2-9ee5-2d10-de8e-8547de363868). Installation software ask me to locate label.asc file, but i cant find the right one. Error message:

Check the Software folder. It is asking for Kernel binaries and you are locating the file of Installaton Master. You have to seet the Kernel Folder.

Nw2004s Rapid installer problem

I am attempting my first portal installation.
I am using the 2004s Rapid installer for MS-SQL Server. My installation is erroring out in the Import Java Dump step. The error says to look in the jload.log and jload.java.log files.
This is the error I see in both log files.

First thing I would check is that you have full permissions on the directories you are installing into and reading from.
