RAR - Attached file to the role definition

Hi,
In the "Configuration" tab -> Miscellaneous.
I don´t understand what´s the function of the option "Allows you to attach files to the role definition".
You can attach files only in the Testing stage, but if chose "Yes" or "No" in this option, the system allows you to attach files in this stage.
Please, someone knows the real function of this option?

On which SP level are you?
I'm on SP10 and I don't see such an option in RAR->Configuration->Miscellaneous.

How to attach files in the SMTP mail?

Hi All
Anyone know how to how to attach files into the mail configured
with SMTP while changing the workstatus. The SMTP mail is working
fine, but my requirement is to attach a file which is having static information
like instructions for users or something like that.
Please help me on this..

Save a attachment file in the shared folder of receiver using ABAP report

Hi all
Is it possible to save an attachment file in the folder of receiver's desktop using ABAP report?
I am using the standard mail sending code to mail the excel file as an attachment.
Consumer wants that file to be stored automatically in the folder of a shared drive he is using.
Is it possible?

You can do that via class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES method gui_download. But this is not working in background. Reports running in background cant reach presentation servers.
If you have XI/PI in place you can set up a scenario for that.

I’m wondering why there is no feature that allows attaching files from our hard drives! It is not practical to upload our file first in a certain web to provide it as a link in the post.
Is there a way to attach our files directly from our hard drive to the post?
Please, have a look on the screenshot below that shows a forum which includes all the very basic features!

Just a guess on my part, but I would suspect non-image files in this case.
As Ted points out, that WAS possible early on, and then the capbility to attach non-image files, was actually retained by a certain few forums, though not for long. This change was coincidental with a major spam attack, and at least one disgruntled user attempting to attach some rather nasty "stuff." I do ot know if those events prompted the change, as I was not part of the decision making group, that initiated the change.
Though 95% of the files that I wish to attach, ARE image files, there are times, where a TXT file would be ideal, say for a crash log, or similar. Now, I can convert that TXT to a PNG, but then one has to work with pixel x pixel dimensions, and some files, like those crash logs, can be rather long.
Personally, I find the loss of the Attach File (was via a button at the bottom-left of the editing screen) to be a sad comment on the actions of some, on these forums, but then that just reflects life outside of the forums.

Attaching files to the PDF

Hi guys,
I would like to add attachments to the PDF form. I found some tutorial using the menu item with the following code:

This works fine but not in the Acrobat Reader. For my business case the following two options can be possible:
a) using the attachment functionality of Acrobat (e.g. using the menu item)
b) transporting the binary data in the XML content of the PDF form

Is there another programmatical way to attach files to the PDF supported by the Acrobat Reader?
To b)
Does someone of you know how to read the binary content of a file using Java Script and adding it into the data XML? With this solution, the data can be extracted using the Adobe Document Service. Would be a fine solution.

How do I attach file to the reply mail

I'm using iPad 3rd generation (ver. 5.1.1) and it's native mail client.
I've read how to attach file to the email. But it might work only if I create new email.
My problem is attaching a file to a reply email.
Is there any solution for this?

From my experience I can notice that Apple has an excellent support team, but it doesn't listen it's consumers. This is 3rd generation iPad, but this feature still doesn't exist. I've had a better opinion about this company.
IMHO this feature is a basic function of any other mail program. About 7 years ago I had a simple mobile phone with mail client which supported this function, but costed about 100$. Now I hold in my hands device with price ten times higher but it's native mail client doesn't have this feature.
Different Android, Windows devices allow to do this, but iPad doesn't.

Attach File to the selected item

Hi all,
To attach file to the Puchase order, i am using
1- BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL ( PO Guid )
2- BBP_PD_PO_UPDATE ( E_HEADER + IT_ATTACH with PO Guid )
3- BBP_PD_PO_SAVE ( PO Guid )
4- Commit
and it works Fine
Now when i want to attach this file to the selected PO Item by making the same prossess it's not working (By passing the PO ITEM Guid into IT_ATTACH )
Am I missing some parameters to attach the file to the selected item ?

BHOLD Modelgenerator / Modelloader: missing application name in permission in the Role definition of the exportflie.

I have 2 applications (SAP-T and SAP-R) stored in BHOLD Core with same permission: Administrator.
I have 2 roles (Koos Test1 and Koos Test2) stored in BHOLD Core. "Koos Test1" role has been connected to
permission Administrator belonging to application SAP-R and the "Koos Test2" role has been connected to permission Administrator belonging to application SAP-T.
When I make an export with BHOLD Model Generator, these permissions have correctly been stored:
<application name="SAP-T" module="" parameter="0" protocol="DCOM">
<Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
</application> <application name="SAP-R" module="" parameter="0" protocol="DCOM">
<Permission name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
</application>
But the 2 roles are not correctly been stored in the export file:

<task name="Administrator" description="Administrator" />
</role>
The missing link is the definition of the application to which the permission belongs.
This means that the role model is not correct when I import this generated export file into another BHOLD environment
with Modelloader.

I just went through this and I definitely see unexpected behavior but not quite like yours........When I do this, the roles are added fine and the applications are added fine. However, it only makes one 'Administrator' permission to me and links it to both
roles. Not sure if this is related to using same name for permissions with different apps or what. My version of BHOLD I am testing this with is 5.0.2724.......this is the pertinent contents of my export file:

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus will not print the attached file in the e-mail

Dear support team,
I have installed the software and setup HP eprint according the manual respectively the advices in HP-Connected however if I send an e-mail to [edited by Moderator] the printer 8600 PRO PLUS will not print the attached file in this case a PDF. But the text inside the e-mail will printed.
Any recommends?

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that the attachment to an email sent to your Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer’s ePrint email address did not print.
After the PDF didn’t print, did you log into your HP Connected account? I’m curious as to what HP Connected indicated about the print job. I have included the ePrint Job Did Not Print document. It has several causes and solutions as to why the PDF didn’t print.

How to attach files in the new BT Yahoo system

Can anyone tell me how to attach files to an email in the new system, please? I have a particular reason which is too complicated to go into here why occasionally I want to send files using web-mail rather than an email client (yes, I do know that's the best way). When I click the "attach" tab, I get an (apparently) helpful page which enables me to add several files at once. But there's no "continue" or "do it" button to get me back to the email I've started, and since ther's no tabs in the new system, I'm stumped.

How do I resolve inconsistent color definition message even if all my files have the same definition

All of the files in my book have the same exact color definiti
ons: New Color1. Yet I keep getting the inconsistent color definition messag
es every time I go to print or regenerate my toc. I still get results but It's annoying!

Does EACH document have the SAME definition of NewColor1? Having the same name does not imply that they are the same definition.
Try opening the first document in the book. Then select all the documents in the book file and import the color definitions from the opened file. This will make all the documents have the same definitions as in the first document.

Attach files to the adobe form : offline

My requirement is to create an interactive form, that should have the ability to attach files offline. This means that the user of the form will have no access to the SAP system and should be able to attach supporting documents with the help of the adobe form itself, only.
How can this be done?
Is there any solution available to this or we still have to wait for forthcoming support packages?

In Web Dynpro for Java, this function will be available with SPS 10, on the ABAP side it will probably not be available before SPS 12.

Issue while importing the WSDL file in the External Definitions - PI 7.0

After importing the WSDL file in the external External Definitions we are not able to view the " name and namespace " in the messages tab.

The problem is in the namespace description LENGTH,
Note the following restrictions for XI or PI installations:
· Maximum length of repository namespaces and XML namespaces: 60 Characters. Due to this restriction, the import of XSD files and WSDL files prepares difficulties as an external definition; you can solve these difficulties using Note 901988.
· Maximum length of object names in the Integration Repository and Integration Directory: 120 characters
As of SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.10 Support Package 7, the enhancement of the maximum length of namespaces to 255 is supported in the configuration and runtime.
Please check the below SAP 2 notes in regards to above mail.
