"Rasterize before proceeding.  BTW, you won't be able to edit"

"This smart object must be rasterized before proceeding.  Edit Contents will no longer be available.  Rasterize the smart object?"
I am given only two choices:
     (1) Rasterize and forget about editing.
     (2) Do nothing.
How do I fix this? I want to edit my photo.
Thank you for your help.
Teresa

Make a copy. Image menu > Duplicate and rasterize the copy.

    Wanting to use Photoshop CS6 to open images directly from iPhoto 11.
    Using OSX10.8.2 and iPhoto 11.  Just installed Photoshop CS6 and want to open
    images directly from iPhoto.    Before I installed PS I was not able to edit photos
    in iPhoto 11.  Nothing happens when I click on ‘edit‘ it is blank.
    And now it will not work using Photoshop CS6 either.
    From Help Center I have gone to iPhoto/Preferences/ Advanced and chosen Photoshop CS6  to Edit Photos but then cannot find an 'Open' to click? Perhaps this is the problem?
    When I select a photo in iPhoto and click the Edit button - nothing happens.
    Please advise. Glenys

    This may be of help to you:
    Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
    1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
    2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
    3 - however, if you get the navigation window
    that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
    This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
    NOTE: With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
    I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
    Note:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

    I tried enabling Wi-Fi calling on my iPhone 6 on Sprint and as soon as I left my Wi-Fi area my phone wouldn't recive or make calls. I would just a error.
    I called Sprint about this and informed them but, If this doesn't happen to you then just go to the Wi-Fi calling setting > Update Emergency Contact > Check Disable Wi-Fi calling. That should fix it!

    Maybe you should get new friends.
    I'm not sure that recovery mode works when you have to trust the computer, but did you try it?
    If you can't update or restore your iOS device - Apple Support
    If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.
    iCloud: Erase your device - Apple Support
    This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone.

  • I get a message saying: "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement". HELP!!

    Hi i have an iMac with  10.9.3 and when i tried to open a PDF link or a PDF document in Safari 7.0.4  this message appears: "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement".  What can i do to solve this?

    Back up all data before making any changes.
    Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
    If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
    Step 2
    There should be a setting in the preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
    Step 3
    If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    and check the box marked
    Allow Plug-ins
    Then click
    Manage Website Settings...
    and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
    Step 4
    Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
    from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
    From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
    Step 5
    The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
    Step 6
    Do as in Step 4 with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
    If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

  • Repeated message "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User

    I am now getting repeated pop-ups of a dialog box that says:
    Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement.
    However, there is no menu command or preference to do so in either Adobe Acrobat Reader X version 10.1.6, or Acrobat Pro X 10.1.6 CS6 (I'm a CS6 subscriber)
    How can I make this annoying dialog go away? What caused it to start appearing?
    I'm running OSX 10.8.2 on a recent iMac, Safari 6.0.2 (8536.26.17)

    There seem to be at least two different problems.
    Some people need to run a copy of Acrobat/Reader and accept the agreement which appears (just pops up).
    Some people have something worse.
    I recommend checking in Applications to see if there are any other Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader apps shown, and start them.

  • Make all click boxes required before proceeding to next slide

    I have created a screen with three click boxes and a next button. The learner will need to click all three click boxes before they can click next to move to the next slide. If they do not click all three boxes they will need to get a message saying they need to view all content before proceeding. Does anyone know how to program the next button to require the three click boxes to be clicked before proceeding?
    Thanks in advance,
    ~A

    Question has been treated multiple times in this forum. You don't need to program the Next button, but the click boxes. I suppose they do not have to be clicked in sequence? In that case:
    create three user variables, one for each click box: v_one, v_two, v_three and give them a default value of 0
    hide the next button (in the Properties panel - since I don't know the version, will not go in details)
    for each click box create a conditional advanced action with two decisions:
    First decision is a mimicked standard action 'Always'
        IF 1 is equal to 1
           Assign v_one with 1    (change variable in the actions for the other two click boxes to v_two, v_three)
    Second decision checks the value of the three variables
        IF v_one is equal to 1  AND
            v_two is equal to 1  AND
                            v_three is equal to 1
                        Show Bt_Next
    Be sure to have the pausing point of the Next button later than the pausing point of the click boxes. That will mean that you have to shorten the timeline of the click boxes, and check the timing properties of the button

  • Windows 7 upgrade advisor, from Vista, says that Firefox must be uninstalled before upgrading and that I won't be able to reinstall it, is this true?

    I am currently running Vista, 32-bit. I am considering upgrading to Windows 7. I ran the Upgrade Advisor Report and it says "Mozilla Firefox 20.0.1 Must be uninstalled before upgrading to Windows 7. You will not be able to reinstall it after upgrading to Windows 7." This appears to be inaccurate info, based on the Firefox website, but I want to verify what I should do before beginning the upgrade. Leave Firefox installed and in place when I upgrade, or uninstall and then re-install after the upgrade?

    hello herplaw, you're right, this doesn't sound right - firefox will run fine on windows 7. i'd leave it installed and go ahead with the update. in any case (if you'd have to reinstall it later) you could also back-up the personal information that is stored in your firefox profile before you proceed: [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]]

    install 6.5 before proceeding further. I coud not understand.
    Just what it says - install os 10.6.5 before proceeding further.  You can either do so through Software Update or use the Combo update from Apple's download site.
    You should repair permissions and restart your computer prior to updating and upgrading.

  • Since I upgraded to ios 7.1.1 I'm not getting notification alerts that require an action before proceeding?

    For example in the notification center it says you can set an app up to trigger an alert that requires an action before proceeding and I'll get them if the screen is locked but if I'm using the phone then the only way I will know about a text msg etc is if I happen to see the badge icon with the red numbers. Any help would be much appreciated. And yes everything is set up to trigger those in the notification center. Thx!

    Ok, thanks for taking my questions. I'm sorry I wasted the USD 700. As I said earlier, I am very frustrated. I appreciate the courtesy of replying in Portuguese

    we are 3 in process inspections operations with operation nos 25,65,75. The 25,65 operations we are closing in qa32 with force closer. i.e when operation 75 doing ud, the inspection operations 25,65 happening force closer. But in order even though operations are confirming also,it is showing the below error message while doing ud in qa32. Please help me on this. why it is showing that error message even though operations are confirmed.
    Regards,
    Mastan.

    Memory errors have nothing to do with actual lack of RAM. The file is damaged or references a potentially critical external component like a specific printer driver whose info has been stored in the file, a font, a color profile, a linked image or whatever. You need to figure out those problems instead of blindly throwing more resources art the program. As a start, try to open the file on another system. If it works you can limit the investigation to the specific machine and even if it doesn't it may give you a more meaningful warning that helps to diagnose the error.

  • Using MaxL in batch script to get Essbase database size before proceeding

    I have a batch script which dynamically generates some MaxL before passing it to ESSMSH. I would like to insert a command at the beginning of the MaxL script, to get and assess the size of the database before proceeding. If the database is empty I would like the script to quit. This is to prevent the script from exporting data and overwriting the previous export file if the database is empty.
    The generated MaxL (modified) is currently as follows. What logic can I add to the MaxL script, to assess the database size and go to the "errorhandler" label if it is empty? Is this even possible?
    login %USER% identified by %PASS% on %SERVER%;
    iferror "errorhandler";
    /* log file */
    spool stdout on to '<directory>.log';
    iferror "errorhandler";
    /* error file */
    spool stderr on to '<directory>.err';
    iferror "errorhandler";
    /* export data */
    set timestamp on;
    execute calculation %APP%.%DB%.C_Export;
    iferror "errorhandler";
    /* reset database */
    alter database %APP%.%DB% reset data;
    iferror "errorhandler";
    /* import data */
    import database %APP%.%DB% data from server data_file "<filename>.txt" on error abort;
    iferror "errorhandler";
    /* calculate database */
    execute calculation default on %APP%.%DB%;
    iferror "errorhandler";
    /* error handler */
    spool off;
    define label "errorhandler";
    logout;
    exit;

    Hi Stuart,
    Yes I was aware of display database "app"."db"; however this will output a table rather than a specific value. And what logic can I then add to the MaxL script to assess the specific value of "Db Status" and go to the "errorhandler" label if it is empty?
    It would seem this needs to be done via a VBScript, to loop through the file rows to find the value before proceeding accordingly. But I was hoping there might be a way to do this within MaxL.
