Rather a simple issue

Hi
I would like to know if it is possible to change the icon of the drive which is showing up in the desktop. Instead of the harddrive kind of image I would like to keep a different icon for Macintosh HD as well as for the Windows drive.
I think it is possible, cause in one of the MacWorld magazine I saw a image of one person desktop which had an apple icon for Mac HDD and windows logo for XP drive. Please let me know how to do this.

yes it is
1 find the image you want and copy it "apple key and c"
2 click on the harddrive icon and when its selected press "apple key and i"
the info box will open
3 in the info box select the harddrive image by clicking on it (a blue box should surround it unless you have changed your default highlite colour then it will be that colour)
4 paste the image you copyed earlyer "apple key and v" this wil changr the icon

Editing Cells - Simple Issue, but Confused

Simple issue, but I can't seem to figure this one out in Numbers. I'll do my best to explain in words here.
Let's say I store the following dollar amount in cell A1 = 1264. The number is formatted to dollars. Therefore A1 is presented as $1,264.00. All is well up to this point.
Okay, now let's assume I click out of the cell completely. Now let's say I wanted to add $250.50 to this amount in cell A1. When I go to the formula bar to add in the $250.50 it's requiring me to remove the dollar sign and comma out of my $1,264.00 number in order to complete the computation. Is this normal? I never had to do this in Excel. My thought was that I should only need to include an equal sign at the beginning of the formula (in other words, there shouldn't be a need to remove the dollar sign and comma every time, right?).
Just wanted to make sure that I'm not missing anything overly simple (which I'm sure I am).
Any help is greatly appreciated! I'm really enjoying my trial version of Numbers thus far.

There is another way to remove each comma and dollar sign, one that will work on multiple cell at once if needed. Select the cells that you want to clean-up and using the Cells Inspector, change the format from Currency to Number and then click the Thousands Separator checkbox to deselect it. Then all that remains is to add the equal sign when you go in to edit the content by changing your input to a formula. Then if you still want the value to be displayed as currency, change the format back.
I'm not saying that this method is better, but may be worth a try if your are backspace/delete averse.

New Apple user, brand new MBP, and several (simple) issues:

1. One of the first things I did was change the "natural" scrolling to normal scrolling on the trackpad. Then I found it wasn't as responsive as expected - nor as responsive as my friend's Macbook Air - so I changed it back to "natural" scrolling, and got used to that. But whenever I turn off/reboot my machine, the settings revert to the old way of scrolling. Can anyone suggest a fix for this? The same thing seems to happen with the settings for external mice.
2. A week into ownership, and I've already got a dark splotch on the screen, dead center. Have always been a ThinkPad guy, and have never had a problem with them before. There wasn't any damage, so I'm a little frustrated, but that's fine, these things happen. I'm heading over to the Apple store to advise on my options (other than a return), and I'm wondering what to expect. I'm hesitant to do a swap because I don't want to hand over a machine with all my personal information/passwords on it, plus I already upgraded the RAM. Is there a (simple) way to wipe the HDD clean and start back from scratch?

When you wrote that the trackpad "wasn't as responsive as expected," did you mean that the screen pointer didn't move as quickly or as far for the same Trackpad swipe as before?
If so, you can change the trackpad's responsiveness - regardless of whether you're using "natural" or (umm) unnatural scrolling - by just changing the following setting on your Mac: go to
System Preferences > Trackpad settings > Point & Click
and go to the horizontal slider called "Tracking Speed."
If you set the Tracking Speed slider to "Slow" then sliding your finger across the Trackpad will result in the screen pointer moving very slowly across part of the screen. In contrast, with the Tracking Speed slider set to "Fast" the same movement on the Trackpad will make the screen's pointer fly across the screen in no time.
Adjusting the tracking speed also changes the horizontal and vertical scrolling speeds.
The only odd aspect to this, is that changing the scrolling direction shouldn't change the Tracking Speed, unless you accidentally brushed against the Tracking Speed slider while you were changing the scrolling direction.
(Note! I'm using a desktop Mac with an Apple bluetooth trackpad, so my suggestion may not be completely accurate.)

I have extensively searched over the web, oracle forums and metalink but just can not find the reference to hover mechanism when links are inside an ADF components. In addition to this, lack of adequate documentation from Oracle puts extra strain on development timeline
Anyways, I will stop whining and describe the issue.
First, I tried using skinning to achieve a functionality when mouse hovers over a link, it should underline and when mouse leaves the link, the underlinke should disappear. THIS WORKS JUST FINE using conventional HTML/CSS pseudo classes but just wont work with ADF.
I tried using CSS pseudo selector :hover with .AFLinkForeground:alias component selector but it wont work
i.e.
.AFLinkForeground:alias:hover{text-decoration:underline;}
So, as a PLAN B, I gave up on the skinning and moved on to inline CSS within JSPX. I learned that css pseudo classes DO NOT work any deeper other than document. Hence, I should use OraLink instead. Below mentioend link describes this in detail.

If you cannot tell which version of JDeveloper you use, please check Help--> About. If it says 11 in teh beginning then you post the question here, if it says soemthing like 10.1.3 then you post it on the other forum. Hi Frank,
I added .OraLink:hover{text-decoration:underline;} into the css skin file. This is the registered skin file that is registered under adf-faces-skins.xml and adf-faces-config.xml and repalced standard out of the box jdeveloper's oracle skins.
But still it does not work :(

Probably very simple ++ issue

Ok... I'm quite sure this is kid stuff for you guys who have a clue what you are doing... but I can't for the life of me figure it out.
The page is supposed to work like this:

But instead it's doing this:

In case it's not apparent, basically the boxes are supposed to fill in as you mouseover them. In the "project1" page, it works as it should. However in the "details" page, the filled box goes ahead by an increasing number as you move down the line (i.e. mouseover 2 and it's one ahead, 3 and it's 2 ahead, 4 and it's 3 ahead, etc.) which makes me think it's adding 1 and then adding 1 again or something weird. I really don't know.
I think it is something in the initLinks function or maybe the clear boxes function if you want someplace to start.

First of all, this is a Java forum rather than a Javascript forum.
Second, if you hover over the first square, it is filled in.
If you hover over the square next to the first one, the square below the first one is filled in.
If you hover over the square below the first one, the square two below the first one is filled in.
And so forth.
This leads me to believe that you are indexing the squares incorrectly.

Simple issue in BADI

I want to change one field in BADI(CACL_CHARACTER_INPUT) with name T16FB-KZFAE (Changability indicator for Purchasing Docs).
I have implemented one of the BADI method as below :

When I debug the code the field is visible as '(SAPBLEND)CEKKO-BSART' and can be Changed !!
Please help in this situation.

Stacks and other simple issues..... for new Mac user

My first computer was a commodore 64 with DOS commands and I've been a PC user ever since. You guessed it, Friday I went to the Apple store and bought an iMac! I was up and using it in minutes so I am impressed. However there are a million little things I just can't figure out or that take hours, for example at the Apple store the docking bar when you ran your mouse over the icons they jumped up. Well after a few hours I figured out how to make mine do that! (so cool).
At the store they showed me "stacks" where i put my mouse on something and I could see, pix or documents or e-mail I had somehow saved there, very handy but if my Mac can do that I sure don't see how.
Here are my two questions:
1) how do i make stacks work (is it some program i don't have?)
2) is there a web site or book or something with all the easy stuff (tips and tricks) in it a brand new Mac user should know? (i hate to keep bothering you all with simple questions)

Welcome to Mac.
1) Just drag any folder to the right hand side of the dotted line (the Trash side) of Dock. Then click. Or click and hold on the stack and choose how your stack displays.
2) take a look at Mac 101 and Switch 101. There's a wealth of info there.

When I calculate <b>TAN ( 45 )</b> in ABAP and its giving me some wriong value instead of 1. I think its considering 45 as a number not the degree..

The value of Tan(45) is beng wrongly calculated by ABAP because internally the data type for all the Trignometric functions are represented as Floating point numbers.

     Hyperbolic functions: tanh, sinh, cosh
     Exponential functions (base e): exp
     Natural logarithms (base e): log

Validating date problem (simple issue ?)

I am trying to validate a date using the following code:

No matter what I pass in the date will be formatted as the month January. For example: 5/8/02, 05/08/02 and 05/08/2002 will all format as 1/8/02. This happens to every valid date I pass in. This function is catching the exceptions of an invalid date. I have searched the newsgroups and found many posts and have compared their code with mine and there does not seem to be a problem with the code.
If anyone can give me some insight I would greatly appreciate it.

Some simple issues with image stabilization

I am quite new with Final Cut Pro X and quite impressed already. However I have one basic question:
After I have done "stabilization" to clip, it has locked the point and shaking of image is removed from picture but now the "frames" around are shaking of course. How do I get rid of that?

what I really want it to do, is to go to frame 5, play the motion, and stop at frame 25.

That is AS3 code, so you should have posted in the AS3 forum. To make it start playing at frame 5, tell it to do that. If you want it to stop at frame 25, then place a stop() command at frame 25.

You can very much replicat data between two schemas in same server databases.
for this, better you have to install OGG in two different directories with two different mgr port numbers.
for example,
1. i have installed ogg software on F:\OGG_ORA folder for source database and OGG MGR port number for this *7845*
2. For target , installed on F:\OGG_ORA2 , MGR port for this *7846*
3. the source DB is SRC , and Target DB is TGT both are running on the same windows machine,
4. Created user name as ggtest in SRC database as well ggtest on TGT databases ,
5. created new table name as INIT on both the databases,
