Ratings Views in ITunes 7.0
I guess I could post it as a question but why bother. Clearly nobody cares about fixing the My Ratings view in ITunes. Now, in the new version, it functions even worse than in the last iteration. It doesn't work, as always, in the "Edit Smart Playlist" mode. And now, when I try to assign a rating by right-clicking a song to enter the Get Info window, it doesn't work there. And what's worse, you used to be able to guess about the rating you were providing by judging the location of your click. Now, it is more difficult because where the stars should be, you just get big black bars. Why do I bother? No one cares and no one listens.

For transporting Query View
Go to -->RSA --> in "Transport connection" you have all kind of object.
Select "Query view" and select a list of objects.
Put the objects in "Collected object" and press the transport button.
And answer to your second question
In BEX Analyzer if i execute a query and apply filters on some chars and save it as view....does the Restrictions will also be saved
is Yes once you execute a query and applu some filter and then save as View it will save the ristriction also.

View in itunes button dont work
The view in itunes button doesnt work on my browser it used to then it suddenly stopped, how do i fix?
Works fine for me.
Worked fine for me until I started taking screenshots and thought it would good to illustate the "Remember my preference" button. Now it no longer does.
Uninstalling & reinstalling didn't help either. If I find a reliable way to renable I will let you know what I did.

I can see how to switch all the views in iTunes. However when I go to the listing view (one on the left) everything is still grouped with album arts and what not showing in the display window. How can I get to just the normal "list" of songs that I can sort without this? I don't need album arts on the side as it gets annoying scrolling through 15,000 songs that aren't all on albums with art work.
Is this totally gone?It looks like you are stuck in grid mode (middle). I click on list mode and there are all the songs just like before the update. Don't give up this feature wasn't removed it's just a matter of trying to figure out how to get the list button to work for you.

I have no use for Songs view. I always use Albums view (personal preference - I think of my library as a collection of albums, not of songs), but never had any problem at all with the use of the top-left icons in iTunes 12. Indeed, I much prefer the iTunes 12 version of the sidebar - ironically, for the reason that some seem to object to it: it doesn't clutter up a standardized listing of my library content with device-related information, and does not change if I connect an iDevice. In general, the only interaction I need at the device level is the Eject function - all content syncing is controlled through playlists associated with each device I use (which, of course, are visible and can be modified whether a device is connected or not). I only need to see the details of a device on the rare occasions I want to make a change to its behavior with respect to synchronization. -
Videos work fine, but when view in ITunes Video/Audio are not Synced up

Im not sure how to get around this but at the moment im converting my DVDs to mp4 format to view through itunes/appletv.
The MP4 files work fine when watched in Windows Media Player or VLC Media but when i watch it through ITunes the video/audio is not matching up.
How can i fix this?Hello
When I try to play H264 format Movie files via iTunes (9.0.2.25) or Quicktime Player (7.6.5) the audio is half to a full second ahead of the video.
I have tried multiple H264 format videos and they all have the same problem.
If I try playing the same files in Windows Media Player then the video and audio is all in sync as it should be.
I have tried multiple machines, Windows 7, Vista and XP, all of which show the same issue.
Any help in resolving this issue would be highly appreciated.

everytime i click on the view in itunes button/link on the itunes website so that i can download apps, nothing happens. I accendentally clicked on the button other than open itunes and now i cant fix it
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sifnout and sign back in
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

The "View in iTunes" button doesn't work on Chrome
When I'm looking at an iTunes Preview of an album on the iTunes web version (not the program) and I click "View in iTunes" so I can go buy the album or look at the artist's other stuff in the program, nothing happens. There's no message, iTunes doesn't open up or anything. So I have to go to iTunes myself and manually search for and find the album I'm looking for each and every time..
It works fine on Firefox, just Chrome doesn't want to do it.
I've tried going to chrome://plugins/ and clicking "Always allowed" on the iTunes Application Dector box but nope, nothing.

Until the update I had no problems with iTunes opening up when I clicked on "View in iTunes" buttons in Google Chrome. After reading the OP, I decided to try in Internet Explorer and it worked fine. Sometimes when I click on an app in itunes, instead of going to the regular profile page, where I can download it, it shows the internet browser version of the page (which you can usually access off apple site). And it has the "view in itunes" button where the regular download/purchase button is. Thing is, I am already viewing it in itunes.
Usually I just settle for not buying the app then, but it was just bugging me as to why this is happening.
I am currently using itunes 10, with an iphone 3gs, although this itunes problem has happened before I updated to the latest version of itunesnvm, I just found out. select the name of the purchaser in the purchases page ...

There should be an option somewhere in the new iTunes where it allows the Artists view to change from detailed view to smaller and bigger view. I also want the Artist view to look like the Albums and Movies view.

Alphabetical problems with composer view in iTunes?
I have mostly classical music in my iTunes library and would find the Composer view function really helpful... but it doesn't work properly.
When I click on a composer within the letter A (Alwyn for example) then it lists all the albums that feature that composer on the right panel - like it should. However, when I carry on and get toward the end of letter B (Britten for example) then it starts to include albums featuring composers who is next alphabetically. And there after the alphabet is messed up.
So when I click on Scarlatti, the only albums I also see albums featuring Schöenberg, etc. Some Scarlatti albums are also on the previous entry (Sawer). What is going on? And how do I fix it??

The only view in iTunes that works properly is Songs view (IMHO). Use Songs view. Enable the Column Browser, and make sure that Composer is one of the fields. Click on a composer's name, and you will get an accurate list of tracks for that composer. -
When I click on the View in iTunes for a particular application it should then invoke iTunes and bring up the application. It doesn't as if iTunes is not installed on my computer; it is. The link does what it is supposed to do in both IE and Chrome. Any suggestions on how to get it working in Firefox?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

"View in iTunes Store" opens iTunes but does not link to the item.
When I click on a "View in iTunes" link, it redirects and iTunes opens, but only on my Album page. The links do not go to the item mentioned.

The culprit was that the Flash plugin needed updating for FF. That was it.
Go to Firefox; Preferences; General (tab); Add-ons; Manage Add-ons; Plugins.
I clicked on Find Updates and immediately updated the Flash plugin.

Changes to list view in iTunes 8
I've noticed some changes to the list view in iTunes 8, which in my personal opinion, means it doesn't look as good as in previous versions.
For example, in previous versions there was a little gap between albums, there are now all bunched up together, and I feel it just makes the screen look a bit cramped. I'd prefer an option to have it looking like it used to.
There are also changes to the artwork column. The shadow for album artwork has been removed. The font for artist and title has been made bigger, there is also a grey background which I don't remember being there before.
I realise these are only minor points compared to some of the issues some people have been having with iTunes 8, but given how much attention Apple normally pays to having attractive GUIs, I feel these changes are a step back.
Does anyone else feel some of these changes should be reversed, or is just me?I agree with you that the lack of gaps between albums makes it more difficult to pick each one out in the list, as does the uninterrupted repetition of the alternately coloured row background.
I guess this is a side-effect of making artwork display in list view optional. I too prefer the previous approach. -
Missing speaker icon in list view in iTunes for Windows
On my Mac I can see a speaker icon in list view of iTunes, but in iTunes for Windows 7 I cannot see the speaker icon that shows now playing against the song playing in list view - anyone help how to switch this on?
