RAW-Converter CS4 MAC - "Benutzerdefinierte Einstellungen" nicht übertragbar

Im RAW-Converter CS4 MAC kann man zwar, wie gewohnt, mehrere Bilder synchronisiert mit denselben Einstellungen bearbeiten, wenn man aber nur ein Bild aus der Liste bearbeitet und dessen "Benutzerdefinierte Einstellungen" auf das nächste Bild übertragen will (nächstes Bild anklicken und in der Liste neben "Grundeinstellungen" auf "Benutzerdefinierte Einstellungen" klicken), so geschieh nichts! In CS3 funktionierte das! Weiß jemand Rat und Hilfe?

Ich habe CS4 in Windows. Damit kann ich die ACR Einstellungen speichern
(Save Settings) und beim naechsten Bild wieder anwenden (Apply Preset).
Leider kenne ich mich mit der deutschen PS Version nicht aus, kann daher die
beiden Kommandos nicht genau uebersetzen.
I have CS4 in Windows. With it I can save the ACR settings (Save Settings)
and apply them to the next picture (Apply Preset). Unfortunately, I am not
familiar with the German version of PS, therefore can't exactly translate
the two commands.

Trouble converting RAW files with Camera RAW/DNG - CS4 Mac

Hello!
I am using CS4, with Camera RAW 5.7 and Adobe DNG 5.7. These are the versions listed as compatible with CS4. I am using a new Canon Powershot S100. Can I use newer versions of the RAW/DNG with CS4, or am I just out of luck? Please help!

Same story we hear again and again.
New camera, old software, and the often un-stated expectation that the software company should go out of its way to provide new camera support for free. First thought by those in the know is "you bought a new camera, why do you feel you don't need to buy new software to go with it?"
Those same folks who bought a new camera might never consider asking a camera manufacturer to make their new camera compatible with their old software. It's a funny disparity.
Adobe walks a tightrope of expectations. As it turns out, when you download the latest free DNG converter version they actually DO provide new camera support for free - it's just that converting to an intermediate file format is not quite as integrated or convenient as using the latest version of Photoshop with native support for that camera to just open the files directly. Nor do you get the SIGNIFICANT improvements in image quality that the newer converters provide.
Use the DNG converter, but if you care about your image quality you'll consider upgrading Photoshop. They really have made strides in raw conversion.

Mac OS-X Raw Converter for Canon produces sometimes wrong colors

I have just acquired a Canon 5D Mark II and I have some problems with the RAW converter supplied with Mac OS. The image is 21 Megapixels and it is the result of a long exposure.
If I use the Canon Digital Photo Professional to produce the JPEG, I get correct results. If I use the
RAW converter supplied by Apple (used in Aperture, IPhoto, and Preview), then the picture has a
mauve-violet color. I can supply the test images along with the JPEG produced by the Canon software.

Sounds like you may want to file a bug report with Apple. You can use Aperture's "submit feedback" button.

Did you try downloading the update and try manually updating ACR?

RAW converter to Element 6.0 for mac

I have problem with installing the newest RAw converter.
I use Leica Dilux 4 and refering to Adobe this update support this Leica.
When I download the update and went to install I got a message that something like: " cant' find the ???? for the update ?
Cananybodu help with install instuctions for this RAW update.

When I Install the ACR application I do as I always do - follow the instruction on the screen.
Then I get a message something like: : " The installation cant find the place for installation - maybe not exatly these words but somethings like
I have also tried to place the raw file in the plugin folder of Element without succes.

RAW-Converter für Olympus OM-D?

Photoshop elements 8 - unter Mac mit der Bridge von CS4 - erkennt nicht mehr die RAW-Daten meiner neuen Olympus OM-D. Den RAW-Converter von Olympus selbst finde ich etwas sperrig, und den Umweg über den Adobe dng-Converter ebenfalls. Deshalb habe ich mir als Testversion jetzt Photoshop Elements 11 heruntergeladen - und stelle fest, dass nicht nur die Bridge fehlt, sondern auch dass die Funktionen des RAW Converters stark eingeschränkt sind! Es gibt überhaupt nur noch drei Reiter mit den Standardfunktionen; ich kann z.B. nicht mehr in die einzelnen Farbkanäle eingreifen, und die Möglichkeit, Verläufe zu ziehen oder einzelne Bereiche aufzuhellen bzw. abzudunkeln fehlt auch. Fehlen all diese Features grundsätzlich bei Photoshop elements 11, oder liegt es an der Kamera, dass nur ein Teil der Software funktioniert? Gibt es Alternativen, also kann ich das Beste aus beiden Versionen - 8 und 11 - zusammenführen

Recently, there have been new raw support releases for new cameras every one or two months.

I can't open Sony NEX-5 raw files with PS-CS6 and latest raw converter plug-in 7.1.

When I try to open raw files from Sony NEX-5 instead of going to PhotoShop like all my NEF files, they go to another software suite that I have (On-One). I am running MAC OS 10.7.5 with latest PS-CS6 and latest raw converter plug-in 7.1. On-One seems to hi-jack these Sony raw files and won't give me the opportunity for the adjustments that I get with the Adobe Raw File converter. Any help??

You need Adobe camera raw version 8.7. Unfortunately your software pre-dates the camera. ACR 8.7 is only compatible with PSE13. But it is possible to download and install the free DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

Cs5 bridge has option..open in raw converter...greyed out

i just purchased and installed cs5, love the updates i have seen yet.....but cs5 bridge has stopped opening raw files, it actually never did open the first one..the option to open in camera raw is greyed out...i can use photoshop to open raws, one at a time...tried updating to raw converter 5.7,. cs5 still works, bridge does not...any thoughts?

ACR 5.7 is for CS4.
For CS5 you need Camera Raw 6.1.
You have to have the ACR in the correct folder and only one file there.

Arri raw converter ( alexa )

I may be able to get some sxs card alexa footage (just junk we shoot real fast when they call lunch break ) from work onto my graid external via friends at work.
they are shooting log c for this job but I guess we can make it arri raw instead.
question... does the arri raw viewer "see" the log c if thats what I get ? Or does it have to be raw ?
also...I have pc and I'm sure the stuff on camera truck for transfer is going to be mac... and my graid is now formatted ntfs pc...
I dont think mac can write to that...so if they format to mac and I buy macdrive that will work OK, right ?? I mean, they will be able to see the drive and format it to mac right ??
thing is, as favor to me at work I dont wanna make anything weird or difficult for them...time consuming etc.
and finally...apparently I can use arri raw converter to convert to quicktime stuff or dpx or ( if its raw ) to log c....any suggestions re: best quality downsizing would be appreciated ( as I have mousey computer and cs3 ).

hmm, thanks for info re: track. Never used that. And only used panther a few times so that is sorta understandable I guess...
We use mostly film air alum track now. Used to use the steel mathews track mostly...till the filmair stuff got invented.
Sometimes use track wheels on fisher dollies...sometimes ( probaby most times ) use skateboard wheels. And dance floor or shelving ( 1x12 x 16 or cut to size clear pine ). Using 3/4 birch ply and plastic sheets mostly for dance floor. Is nice and smooth.
Gotta make sure plastic is same "run" though...out of the die at factory...or they are slightly off in thickness.
Rip dance floor stuff down to exactly 4x8, 4x4, triangles, 2x8 and 1x8...usually is good for all spaces.
yeah, doorways tricky especially on slight angle through instead of perpendicular to threshold...thats cool the panter track comes in narrow width. We usually "rack" the track a little if necessary and leave 2 adjacent wheels unlocked on peewee or chapman hybrid ( 2 legs float ).
So many cool things to yap about re: dolly... you would think, " what could be so tricky about this ??" ... but it does get a bit tricky sometimes.
I find about 1/3 or 1/4 of operators really good to work with -- usually the ones that didnt "grow up" doing steadicam and hand held are the better ones ( with wheeled heads ). If an operator can't use the wheels I usually think, " oh oh...this could be trouble..." But I heard you use mostly fluid heads over there in your neck of woods...in which case the wheel thing doesnt hold true for your operators... as they'd have to be real good with fluid head in general.
Nothing makes a boom looks dumber than changing air space above talent heads etc from less than lovely operating
same with back panning etc.. when I get an operator who knows what teamwork means..I am happy as a clam ! If he says, " leave the wheels unlocked so I can adjust with my feet " I am looking at a long day probably ( time will drag ).
I agree that doing editing ( even the little that I've done now in past year at home has helped me ) really solidifies some things re: shooting and pace and timing etc..as you mentioned....also it makes it more fun, believe it or not...as its easier to see the edit from the coverage and vica versa..( see what coverage you need when shots are blocked )... way more fun than just sitting there waiting for someone to say " put the lens here ".
I went to pratt for fine art photography and thought I knew a lot about lighting and camera when I started gripping...but there are guys here ( 4-5th generation ) who are soooo good its amazing. Know the framelines, cc, stops, depth of field, how to shape the light well ( diffusion, cuts, teasers etc ).. just really amazing ..some of the grips ...

NEF aus RAW-Converter öffnen in CS2

Für eine Erstbearbeitung meiner NEF's öffne ich diese zuerst aus Bridge im RAW-Converter. Wenn ich dann aber "Öffnen" (Änderungen übernehmen und öffnen) klicke, wird mir das Bild ohne die im Converter vorgenommenen Änderungen in PS CS2 geöffnet. Was muss ich tun, um in CS2 das "vorbearbeitete" Bild so zu starten, dass ich nicht wieder von vorn beginnen muss?

How do I upgrade PS camera raw converter from 6.6 to 6.7 I currently have CS5

I am trying to update the firmware on PS CS5 in the Camera Raw converter. I have 6.6 and need 6.7 to read my canon 5d mk III raw files. when I attempt to upgrade from inside PS help everything downloads fine into a box and at the end of the download I keep getting the following:

Is there a camera raw plug in for Lightroom 2 that converts epl-2 orf to a dng or raw file. I want to be able to use my epl-2 .orf files in the version I have of Lightroom which is Lightroom 2

The Elements Techniques March/April issue discusses the RAW cosnverter in Bridge that is a complete RAW converter that can be installed by updating the Adobe Bridge app but it does not seem to install. I have Elements 6 for Mac with Adobe Bridge CS3 2.1.1.9. Is this only available in Elements 8? hjz62
