RAW files from my Fujifilm X-Pro1 open with a blank white box

I'm using an iMac running OS X (ver. 10.9.3) and the newest version of PhotoShop CC and have checked to see that the most recent updates are current. In working with RAW files from my Fujifilm X-Pro1 I am able to bring up a RAW (RAF) image from Bridge into the RAW application and make the changes I want. When I try to bring the image from the RAW dialog screen into PhotoShop however, I get only a blank white box. The image does not appear. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I can provide no solution but maybe you should also try

  • When I try to access my iTunes Store from my iPhone 5 it opens with a blank white screen. Help!

I've tried for several days to open my iTunes Store on my iPhone. Every time it opens, but with a blank white screen.

    Hi Upswife,
When troubleshooting iTunes Store connection issues, the following articles provide the best information:
First, try signing out of your account in Settings > iTunes & App Store. Once signed out, go ahead and sign back in.
iOS: Changing the signed-in iTunes Store Apple ID account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311
If the above did not resolve your issue, refer to the following:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    - Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
    - Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    - Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
    - Check to make sure other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
    - Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router
    - If the issue still persists see, iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connectionsoriOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections.
    Thanks,

  • How to convert raw files from new fujifilm x-t1 ?

how to convert raw files from new fujifilm x-t1 ?

The work around of converting the CR2 to dng either with the dng converter or ACR 6.7 will allow working in LR and CS5 but not with the latest raw conversion engine from Adobe i.e PV 2012.
Remember to keep a copy of the CR2 files if you wish to utilize the Canon software.

You could try using the DNG converter 8.7 on Windows vista:
<Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Windows : Adobe DNG Converter 8.7>
<Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh : Adobe DNG Converter 8.7>

  • Why won't the raw files from my new Nikon D810 open in ACR?

I just shot a newborn session on my brand new Nikon D810 and my RAW files will not open in ACR or CC or PSE. Everything is up to date. This is my first time using the new camera and the photos are for a paying client. Am I screwed until the new ACR updates are released? Or is there some magic fix until then? I'm panicking!

Every new camera comes with its own specific Raw file format and Adobe must add support to Camera Raw for each individual camera released on the market. There's often a time lag between the camera shipping and Raw support being added to Camera Raw.
Lots of D810s are now in circulation (dozens of D810 Raw support requests have popped up in these forums recently) and Raw support from Adobe is imminent but not yet final.
D810 support has just been added to the yet-to-be-released Camera Raw 8.6.
Adobe has made the Release Candidate version (a kind of post-beta, pre release) available for further testing prior to final release.
Download Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw 8.6 Beta - Adobe Labs
Install manually but use at your own risk until final release.

  • Where is there an update for Elements 11 that supports RAW files from a Fujifilm XT-1?

I believe there is an update for Camera RAW but cannot find the download.
    Thanks

There isn't one that will work with PSE 11. The XT-1 requires at least 8.4, which is not compatible with PSE 11, so you would need to upgrade PSE. Your other option is to use the free adobe DNG converter to make DNG files that your version of ACR will read.

  • CR2 RAW files from Canon 7DMarkII do not work with Lighroom 5.6

Although I upgraded to latest available veriosn Lighroom 5.6 can't import CR2 files form Cnaono  7D Mark II.
    Any ideas?

Is the 7D Mk II in the "supported cameras" list?

It's a brand new body - Lightroom has no idea what to do with its files.
When will Lr 5 support the new Canon 7D Mark II?

  • When I open some images, blank white boxes appear on the image past a certain zoom point in random locations. This does not show up in the tools though (liquify, camera filter, ect). how do i stop this from happening?

It happens mostly at random, but once it shows up on an image, even if i close and re open it it will still show up. if i zoom out far enough it will disappear, but as soon as i zoom back in again it will reappear. its never in the same spot on different images and never the same size. i was already on with tech support and they deleted my settings folder which seemed to fix it for a short time (like a week), does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it?
*this is not my art, just an example of it happening

it may have worked, but gimping my system isn't exactly a solution, more of a band-aid.
its the equivalent of the old
patient says, " its hurts when i do *this* "
doctor replies," well, don't do that "
What do you mean "it may have worked" – did it or did it not?
Anyway it is not a remedy but diagnostics and if it makes a difference it points at the GPU driver as a likely culprit.

  • Confused - DNG Converter RC for RAW files from d810 - doesn't work...

    hi everyone -
sorry for the stupid question, but i've never had to do this before. i read somewhere here that if you download camera raw 8_6 and dng converter 8_6 you can convert raw files from d810. i just tried that with the dng converter and it says that the files are not recognized.
what am i doing wrong? can someone help me figure this out?
    many thanks in advance.

The first thing to point out is that the release candidate will not recognize the new small raw format. You'll have to shoot the full-sized raw images. The other thing to be aware of is that, in the DNG converter, when being prompted for the location of your raw images, it is asking for the FOLDER. Choose the folder, but don't open it. Then the DNG converter will convert the raw files contained within that folder.
If you want to shoot TIF, you would probably have better image data to work with than you would with JPEG images. But it still wouldn't be as flexible, and you wouldn't have as many options as you would shooting raw. Try the DNG converter with my suggestions and see if it works for you.

  • RAW files from Fuji X30

    Hi,
I can not see the RAW files from the Fujifilm X30 in the import process.
    Best regards
    Pep Ferrer

That's because the camera isn't supported yet. You could download the DNG converter 8.7 RC and create DNG copies that you can use until the next release of Lightroom.

  • Cant import raw files from sony rx1003 into iPhoto

Cant import raw files from sony rx1003 into iPhoto.  with rx1002 no problem! any suggestions?

Every model of a manufacture's camera have a different  RAW format and, therefore, you'll have to wait until Apple receives the necessary information from Sony so they can create a RAW Compatibility Updater that includes that model.
In the meantime you can try the Adobe RAW converter with might support that camera model to create a dmg file that iPhoto will recognize and begging shooting the highest resolution jpegs until the updater is released.

  • Unable to open Raw files from Nikon D800 in Photoshop CC [was:raw updates with creative cloud?]

i have a d800, bridge or photoshop do not seem to support the raw files, i am using CC and bridge will not bring up the thumbnails and photoshop will not open the files at all, can anyone help?

[Moved from Cloud forum to Camera Raw forum]
    ACR = Adobe Camera Raw.
ACR is the plugin used by Photoshop to read and process Raw files from cameras. It must be updated every time a new camera comes on to the market.
The Nikon D800 has been fully supported since ACR7.1
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
ACR7.1 is compatible with Photoshop CS6 and later
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html
So, if you are in fact using Photoshop CC, there should be no reason that Raw files cannot be opened.
    In Photoshop, click:
Windows: Help > About Plug-In > Camera Raw
Mac: Photoshop > About Plug-In > Camera Raw
    Which version number is shown?
Are you using Nikon transfer software to get the Raw files from your camera to your computer?

  • How can I open raw files from my Nikon D7100 in CS4 or CS5?

How can I open raw files from my Nikon D7100 in CS4 or CS5?

    Andy,
In the simple and short form, what happens with the ACR (Adobe Camera RAW) module is that it gets updated with regularity, to accommodate the camera mfgr's. changes for their newer models. That ACR works within the host program, such as Ps, PsElements, Lightroom, etc.. At a point, Adobe ceases to support older host program versions. When that happens, the user has a few options:
    Upgrade the host program version
Use another host program, such as PsElements or Lightroom
Use the free DNG converter, per Curt's suggestion. That is not host program dependent
Glad that the DNG Converter works for you.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
