  • Is Fuji RAW files supported in iphoto  ?

I have been trying to down load my RAW files from my fuji 9000. I have all the lates updates 10.4.9 and iphoto 6. I read in another post that fuji raw files should be supported, but i still get unknown files downloaded. Am I doing something wrong ? should i be turning some feature on in iPhoto or in the system ? At the last MacWorld I was encouraged and inspired to shoot more and to shoot more in RAW by all of the speakers. any help would be appreciated.

    Joe:
According to iPhoto 6: Supported RAW format cameras if it's a FinePix S2 Pro** or FinePix S3 Pro** camera then it's supported.

  • Fuji raw files from iPad Camera Roll to Lightroom Mobile

I can not transfer Fuji XE2 Raw files from my iPad Camera Roll into  Lightroom Mobile. They will transfer from Lightroom 5.4 into mobile and can be edited which proves mobile can handle them. However not a lot of good for location use!
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there another way of transferring files within the iPad other than from camera roll?

Thanks for the quick response, although disappointing to hear. Surely that rather defeats the object!
Once you have them on your regular computer why would you then want to transfer and edit them on an iPad? I'm off on a weeks holiday and want to work on them while away.
There are other iPad apps that can import raw files but as I already use Lightroom I was hoping to use their mobile app.
    What a let down!!

  • Camera Raw Update Problem: how to open Fuji X-E2 Raw files in CS5?

I just purchased a Fuji Xe2 but my .RAF files are not compatible with my CS5's version of Camera Raw (6.7).  I have tried to go through the Help menu to update but it states my product is up to date. I tried to manually download and install but I just get an error message.  How do I fix this?

Familiarize yourself with these two tables
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
The X-E2 was first supported by Camera Raw 8.3 which is only compatible with CS6, CC and later.
It will never be backward compatible with earlier versions so you won't be able to open XE-2 Raw files in CS5.
    Some options:
    Upgrade to CS6
    Join the Cloud
Download the free Adobe DNG converter, convert all X-E2 Raw files to DNGs then edit the DNGs in CS5.

  • Fuji RAF (raw) files

How do I use Fuji RAF (raw) files? What file do I need to download for my Photoshop CS5?

This is for the benefit of others who might find this thread.
There is a list of the latest Camera Raw versions that can be used with a particular major release of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements here, in the Camera Raw FAQ:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/311515?tstart=0
The Camera Raw versions listed in the FAQ (e.g., Camera Raw 6.2 for Elements 8) are the latest that can be installed in a particular editor version.
If that Camera Raw version is lower than the one listed at the link Trevor supplied above, then you'll need to either use the free DNG converter to convert your files to the DNG format before opening them in your image editor, or upgrade your image editor.

  • Fuji X-10 RAW files in Lightroom mobile

    Hi!
I have encountered a strange issue with files from my wive's Fuji X-10.
I synched them to Lightroom mobile and they seem to display fine, but when I try to edit them, they get distorted and the the picture is not updated with the edit. When I switch to a different picture an back it looks normal again and after a couple of minutes the preview is updated with the changes.
this is how it looks like:
Obviously my wife is not overly satisfied with this workflow
Any pointers on how I could use these files in Lightroom mobile?
    tks

  • When will we get better handling of Fuji raw files?

Why is it that Fuji raw files (I'm using a Fuji X-T1 camera) are treated so badly in Lightroom? I have just tried Irident Developer and just exporting random photo of my son with default settings in Irident got me a vastly better result than I able to get from Lightroom.

    Joergen,
I was quite concerned myself when reading some of the posts about LR processing X-trans files, even after the fix done in LR 4.4 (Adobe's Fujifilm X-Trans sensor processing tested: Digital Photography Review)
What I noticed though, is that the articles with "comparisons" are biased and usually talk about "detail" and trying to "fix" it to no avail. My experience with every single raw file available was, however,  that it is possible to do a much better job with LR than what the articles present, leading me to think that the authors are either clueless or marketing agents in disguise.
Moreover, some of the files that are presented as "better" are in fact quite over-sharpened showing an obviously digital result.
My recommendation is to try and see with your own eyes. I was able to test the packages using trial periods and finally ended up sticking to LR for the overall way it handles the images.
Here go a couple of raw files for you to try:
    Dropbox - DSCF2432.RAF
    Dropbox - DSCF2425.RAF
100% comparisons between LR (PROVIA profile) and OOC jpg (PROVIA Film Simulation):
    1.A                                                              2.B
    2.A                                                                                                   2.B
    Any preference?
1.A and 2.A are the Raw files processed with LR. 1.B and 2.B are OOC JPG, PROVIA

  • Opening a RAW file from Fuji Camera

I have a Fuji Finepix S200EXR camera and I cannot open RAW files in either Elements 8 or 9. Any suggestions?

Adobe has not yet found a way of supporting the mosaic produced by this type of sensor. We are told work is in progress at Adobe Labs but no anticipated date as yet.
A CCD-RAW data Conversion Function Updater is now available from the FujiFilm web site, which supports your camera on Windows or Mac.

  • I can't open raw files (ps5) shot with fuji xe-2. What to do?

I can't open raw files (ps cs5) shot with a fuji xe-2. What to do?

Raw support for new cameras is version specific. You will have to upgrade/ sign up for CC or use the free DNG converter.

  • I have a Fuji X-Pro1 camera. How do I open its RAW files using Photoshop CS5. I use Mac OSX Lion 10.7.5

I have a Fuji X-Pro1 camera. I use Mac OSX Lion 10.7.5  I have Photoshop CS5.  How do I open its RAW files?

Since photoshop cs5 can't use past the camera raw 6.7 plugin and that camera requires at least the camera raw 7.1 plugin, you could use the 8.7.1 dng converter
to convert the files to dng copies, which then photoshop cs5 should be able to open.

  • Management of Fuji X-Trans RAW Files

It would be really helpful if Adobe staff who monitor this forum could make a comment on work proceeding to improve the handling of RAW files coming from X-trans sensor cameras. I've recently started shooting a Fuji X-E1 along with my Nikon D3s and, while the jpgs are quite good, the RAW handling by ACR results in significant artifacts which limit the usefulness of Lightroom and Photoshop. While I understand that product development timing is uncertain, it would help the entire Fujifilm user community to know that Adobe was at least "working on it".
    Thanks!

  • I have photoshop CS 5.1. Just bought the fuji x100T and my RAW files won't work on it. What can I do?

I have just bought the fuji x100T and can't open the RAW files in CS 5.1. What can I do. Do I have to upgrade? Do I have to get the creative cloud? Do I get a discount to the creative cloud as I own a copy of CS 5.1? I hope someone can answer these questions. Many thanks.

You can either upgrade, as Warunicorn said, or use Adobe's free DNG converter to convert proprietary raws to the universal DNG raw format. Here are the links:

  • Fuji raw files

how to ope fuji raf files in pelements12?

    Hi,
The X-T1 requires camera raw 8.4 or later.
In the editor go to the Help menu and select About plug-in -> Camera raw to check which version you have.
Try updating your version by going to the Help menu and selecting Updates.
Then you should be able to open a raw file.
If it fails, please tell us which operating system you are running on.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 cant read the raw files from my Fuji x-e2, what can i do?

I need help please as I cant work on the raw file from my Fuji x-e2 on Photoshop Elements 11 as it cant read them. any suggestions what I can do?

Unfortunatly it seems that the camera raw 8.3 plugin is required, which is still in a public beta for photoshop, but even
when it's released as final, pse 11 will most likely not be able to use it.
    You could however download the
    DNG Converter 8.3 Release Candidate
and convert your  Fuji X-E2 files to dng copies which should then open in pse 11
