RAW import Sony ILCA-77M2 funktioniert in Lightroom 5 nicht. Wer kann helfen?

The A77.2 is not listed as a newly supported camera in the ACR 8.5 RC available at Adobe Labs:  http://labs.adobe.com
But it could be added before the final release of ACR 8.5, sometime before July 31st, when the RC expires.  Otherwise, a new ACR plug-in is released every 3 or 4 months.

  • Sony ILCA-77M2 camera`s raw in Lightroom

Good day! When do you plan to include support of Sony ILCA-77M2 camera`s raw in Lightroom ? Photographers really need it as soon as possible because it`s very difficult for us to work with Sony`s standart raw converter and sometimes in difficult situation it`s fully unuseful .

Eric Chan, an Adobe Raw engineer said, recently, that the A77M2 will be supported in the next “dot release” so a few more days or weeks, I’d expect.  The ACR 8.5 RC expires at the end of July so it should be before then, and Adobe has a major Cloud-related announcement on June 18th, so probably not before then.

  • Cannot import sony arw raw files into lightroom 5

How can I import sony arw raw files to lightroom 5.  On Import I cannot convert them to dng.

    What camera?
    What version of Lightroom?
What is the exact complete word-for-word verbatim error message?
What exactly do you see on your screen anyway when this is happening? Describe in detail.

  • Import Sony RAW .arw files not automatic

I decided to take the plunge yesterday I downloaded the trial LR2 (now 2.1) and purchased Kelby's Lightroom 2 book. All my catalog from PSE6 imported without a hitch. That's over 12000 photos with about half of them Minolta (.mrw) and Sony RAW (.arw) files. Then I decided to import the shots I had just taken from a weekend photoshoot. I plugged in my CF into the card reader and started LR. When I clicked on the IMPORT button for my CF location all I got was the message "NO PHOTOS WERE FOUND TO IMPORT". I can import the files using the manual CHOOSE FILE option but I want it to work just like PSE with auto import. From what I understand that should be the case. After a Google search I found importing Sony RAW images (.arw) was an issue in LR1, but shouldn't Aobe have fixed it by now?? Just as an aside, if I'm having this issue with .arw files, when I import the RAW images from my Minolta 7Hi I wonder if I'll have the same issue.
Since its a trail version I'm not eligible for Adobe support, so there is no help coming from there.

  • LR5 not importing Sony RAW  DSC-RX10 files. Only sees the JPEGs. Any thoughts/fixes?

LR5 not importing Sony RAW  DSC-RX10 files. Only sees the JPEGs. Any thoughts/fixes?

The LR 5.3 RC at Adobe Labs lists preliminary support for the RX10, but that usually means the colors will be a bit off, because they are pretending the RX10 is a previous model with a similar sensor.  I would expect better support in the final release of LR 5.3 presumably in a few weeks.
You can get started with LR 5.3 RC from http://labs.adobe.com but realize that you’ll probably want to redo your pictures, again, when the final release is available.

  • LR 5.7 has stopped importing Sony .ARW: How to fix this?

I have imported Sony ARW's on this installation/W8 laptop, but today the import fails with "not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom." I can read the files in Bridge and Window's Explorer too (after I downloaded the Sony driver).
    What's up with this? Annoying.

LR 5.7.1 was rushed out to fix an issue with an earlier Sony model, and it included support for the new Sony A7 M2.  I think there is something wrong with the theres-a-new-version check that doesn’t know how to see an x.x.1 version that is otherwise the same two numbers as the current version:  5.7.1 vs 5.7, or maybe Adobe planned that 5.7 was the last of the LR 5 series and didn’t even program it to see new versions.  It’s hard to say but you’re not the first person who’s said there version check in LR 5.7 didn’t find a new version.

  • Fuji raw files from iPad Camera Roll to Lightroom Mobile

I can not transfer Fuji XE2 Raw files from my iPad Camera Roll into  Lightroom Mobile. They will transfer from Lightroom 5.4 into mobile and can be edited which proves mobile can handle them. However not a lot of good for location use!
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there another way of transferring files within the iPad other than from camera roll?

Thanks for the quick response, although disappointing to hear. Surely that rather defeats the object!
Once you have them on your regular computer why would you then want to transfer and edit them on an iPad? I'm off on a weeks holiday and want to work on them while away.
There are other iPad apps that can import raw files but as I already use Lightroom I was hoping to use their mobile app.
    What a let down!!

  • Raw in sony rx 100

I want to shoot raw in sony rx100 which I know is now supported by lightroom 4.2 and elements 11 - I have 3 and 10 - which product is it better for me to upgrade to for that purpose?

If you really want to be effective you will want current versions of both programs. Lightroom is a parametric editor. That means that the adjustments are not applied to the image permanently, and that makes some things that you can do in Lightroom somewhat limited. For instance, extensive cloning or healing, and changing backgrounds, or changing colors, etc. Photoshop Elements is an excellent companion program that will give you that added capability. My recommendation to you would be to get new versions of both programs.

  • Slow memory card raw import speed (~20MB/s with USB3.0)?

    Hi all,
For a long time now, I have been experiencing painfully slow (copy) import speed from memory cards to Lightroom.
For example, importing a fast CF card full of Canon 1D mark4 raw (cr2) photos yields a raw transfer speed of about 18 MB/s . This is ridiculously slow, considering that I'm using 90MB/s rated cards with USB3.0 reader in USB3.0 bus. With that speed, copying one full 16GB card takes over 15 minutes. That really doesn't feel like modern computing to me.
With Blackmagic Disk Speed Test the same device gives read rate of 60MB/s. Dragging and dropping the folder of all raw files in Finder takes about 4 minutes, which corresponds to the Disk Speed Test rating. CPU usage is around 8-10% during import, and standard preview rendering does not start until completing the import. I've also tried the same thing with Thunderbolt-FW800 adapter connected to Delock CF card reader and have pretty much the same results.
Does anyone have similar issues or am I the only one suffering from low transfer speed?
I'm guessing that Lightroom has some ancient algorithms for handling the file copying instead of accessing the memory card with the system file transfer.
    Example:
Memory card: Sandisk Extreme Pro 16GB, nominal speed 90MB/s
Reader: Lexar Professional USB 3.0 CF+SD reader
Computer: Macbook Pro Retina 13 2012, 256 ssd
    Lightroom 4.3

    Thanks for the comment Matulaitis.
I find it rather silly that getting new photos into Lightroom in the first place is painfully slow.
But that's not a problem major enough to be fixed asap by Adobe, I would guess.
    Matulaitis wrote:
I finally gave up importing directly into Lightroom due to slow speed and stalling/failing import issues.
Now I copy the files from the card to the folder using another software utility, then synch the new stuff into the catalog.  This works without problems, all same hardware.
LR 5, Windows 7 64bit, USB 3, tried many card readers, different USB ports, separate USB 3 card, none helped Lightroom.  This is not a new problem, has been present through various versions of LR, though 5 is the worst in this regard for me.
LR would usually work ok for a few files, but almost never has been reliable for a lot of files (say 1000-1500 new files).

  • Raw Import Preview from EOS 30d

    Hi All,
I've got a question regarding RAW importing from a Canon EOS 30D. There are no previews only blank boxes with the image no. at the bottom. If I'm importing jpegs from the camera it's fine I can see the preview image. Also, is it possible to tell Aperture not to import duplicate images? Kind of like iphoto does where it gives you the option of ignoring images on the card that are already in the library.
    cheers
    M.

    Mike,
Thanks for your response. The camera was directly
connected to my MBP in both instances (with Aperture
and Lightroom). I do, however, have a SanDisk card
reader on order. Will see if that makes a difference.
Just an update: got the card reader yesterday and did a couple of RAW shoots to test-import previews showed up right away. Hopefully this has fixed the problem.

  • Raw format sony a100

I have a lot of raw format photos from a sony a100. When I try to view pics from that camera the thumbnails look normal, but the full size pics look somewhat like negatives. Is there a way to fix this?
Also how can I add photos to my iphoto library without copying the pics into the iphoto folder?

    HinckeyHog
What color format are the shots? iPhoto supports RGB only, not CMYK, which can cause this problem. Also, is the RAW from Sony supported?
As to your second question: Go to Preferences -> Advanced and uncheck 'Copy file to iPhoto Library Folder when importing...'
But remember: if you choose this option that importing and deleting pics are multi-step operations rather than simple ones, and things like moving your photos to an external HD or to a new machine is more complicated.

If you are having the same problem, i.e. a disk permission problem, open your favorite search engine and search on, "change disk permissions", and I think you'll find plenty of information on how to fix the problem. This is a Lightroom forum. Your problem is with your operating system. There is no sense in rewriting instructions that are already available if you do a simple search.

  • How to open raw files from panasonic gx7 camera in lightroom 4

just purchase panasonic gx7 camera unable to open raw files in elements 9,elements 11,lightroom 4 but will open in trial version of lightroom 5.have downloaded dng 8.2,still no joy.has anybody any suggestion

Actually, you could get by with DNG converter 8.2 or newer. But you will either have to convert your files to DNG or upgrade your Lightroom.

  • RAW import parameters in external service

    Hi all,
I'm extending an application that has been written by somebody else.
I need to connect to an RFC using CAF external services.
In this RFC one of the input parameters (GUID) is of the type RAW. When I import an external service (based on this RFC) into the NWDS. I then add is as a dependencie to my Application service, generate a webservice of my application service, build and deploy the CAF project.
When I now go the the wsnavigator, open my application service and select the operation I want to test. I fill in the paramters and send submit but the RAW import parameter GUID is not being passed on to my RFC.
In fact when I look at the SOAP message that is being sent, the GUID parameter is empty (it fills in 'AA==' while I inserted '4A53589C71132123E10000009959C278' as value).
