Raw Support for the X Pro 1 from Fuji

Does anybody has an idea how to integrate Raw Files from the XPRO1 from Fuji?
I use MBP with 10.8.5 and keep Aperture 3.4.5 until I am sure all issues that appeared once are fixed or Aperture 4 will be available.
So the question further would be if 3.5 supports the XPRO1?
Thanks in advance

"Too many issues were written?"
Ummm... Anything specific? I've seen no issues on Mavericks that are worse in any way than on Mountain Lion. If you're reading on the Internet, note that nobody ever writes in just to say "works great!"
FWIW most reviews I've seen point that the OS X raw converter does a better job with Fuji RAW files than does Lightroom.

Please add RAW support for the Nikon D600 to Lightroom as soon as possible!
ViewNX lets me get to the images, but come on!!! I know Lightroom, and you, ViewNX, are no Lightroom.
Yes, I see everyone else ASKING for D600 support. I'm here to beg for it! Don't make me wait much longer!

Rob, my reading of your site is that this plug-in copies settings from raw to jpeg, does it work the other way around as well?

One of the great things about the new 0-based defaults and linear tone curve is:
You can develop the jpegs now, in Lightroom, and then sync the settings to the raws later (e.g. using RawPlusJpeg), and provided you select a matching camera profile, they will look almost the same (white balance won't translate over, but everything else will, more or less). Beware lens corrections applied to the raws might alter the registration of precision local adjustments.
Note: I recommend shooting with ADL off in order for this to work better, and consider turning sharpening off in camera as well, and noise reduction and everything else to whatever extent is possible.

When will Adobe update RAW support for the Nikon D600?

Lightroom 4.2 and Camera Raw 7.2 (Elements 11) are currently available and provide support for the Nikon D600.
Go to Help > (Check for) Updates to install.

  • HT4757 RAW support for the SONY RX100?

Anyone know when will Apple be adding RAW support for the SONY RX100?

Unfortunately this is a user forum, so no-one can answer that one for you.  You can use the feedback option in aperture to request it though.  More than likely it wont come until Canon or Nikon release some more DSLRs, which is usually what prompts an update.  For what it's worth you can use the Adobe DNG converter which will convert the sony .arw file into a .dng file that Aperture can read.  It is another step to your workflow but you can do it.

  • Why no RAW support for the Fuji FinePix HS10?

This camera is well over a year old.  Why is there no support for the RAW file?

It is definitely not only Fuji. I used a Panasonic Lumix FX-150 before that has been supported by Adobe Camera Raw for quite some time now. I replaced that camera by a Lumix LX5, but I see that the FX-150 is still not supported by Apple Camera Raw and probably never will.
If you want wide range RAW support, use Lightroom. (Not to say that Aperture doesn't have its strengths, e.g. support for geocoding.)

  • Raw Support for the just Announced EXR Cams+S200EXR

I know this had been brought up before, but please support the raw format for the Fuji EXR cams! We will have 4 EXR raw capable camera soon(S200EXR,HS20, F500, and F550)!!

The Stylus 1 has been supported since ACR 8.3 according to Adobe’s supported cameras list:

  • RAW Support for the New EOS 5D

Please update the RAW plug-in to support the new Canon EOS 5D!

    Andrew,
Version 3.2 of Camera Raw has unofficial support for the 5D (in other words it works NOW). Download version 3.2 and install it in the PROPER location. If the thumbnails still don't appear you should purge the cache for the folder containing the 5D images - assuming you installed it correctly it WILL work
BTW: if you'd gone to the camera Raw forum you would have already to the above info!

  • HT203088 Any ideas when RAW support for the Nikon D7200 will be available?

    Hi
I have recently bought the Nikon D7200. However Apple have not released their support for the RAW files. I am wondering what the likely timeframe is for support to be released? I do not want to make the switch to Adobe to get support and Nikons software isn't much fun at all so want to avoid that.
In the meantime I am stuck using jpg...
    Any realistic timeframe estimates appreciated...
    James

It used to be pretty quick with Nikons and Canons - some even before the camera was released! But now in the new Photos regime, we can't really say.

  • When will Aperture provide RAW support for the Nikon D4s?

Just got my D4s and can't work with the RAW files in Aperture 3 ... It says 'incompatible file format'...

Wait and see, the currently available raw support is here.
    http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs/raw.html
    iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
But even, when the raw supoort for your new camera will have been released, it will probably only be available for you, if you upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and at least Aperture 3.4.5. The most recent Digital Camera Raw Support releases have all been released for these versions only:  http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1734
Give Apple a little time to do a decent job with the raw support. Your new camera is particularly challenging with the high ISO sensor and the excellent low light sensitivity (ISO 409,600). You will want that the raw support can deal with these new features properly. Last year we have seen quite a few threads with complaints about strange blueish or pink colors on raw images taken in low light for new Nikon and Canon cameras.

  • RAW support for the Olympus PEN E-PL7

    Hi,
recently bought the E-PL7 (backup for the E-M1) and was very disappointed to realize that iPhoto does not support the RAW(ORF)-files the camera generates.
The camera is on the market since three months and there seems to be no update....
Is there any way to trigger the folks at Apple to give it a go ?

    Thanks !
I've already filed a request for an update

  • Will there be raw support for the Canon G10 before CS4?

Not complaining, just asking. I'll upgrade to CS4 eventually, probably sooner if my G10 is not convered in CS3/ACR.
    Richard Southworth

Some it is definately that Adobe wants to make you upgrade, they need the
money like all businesses need the money. Anyone that thinks otherwise is
deluding themselves. However, the other part of it too is that with each new
version of Photoshop they add many new features to ACR, not just camera
support but new features. To upgrade the old version of ACR the last one for
CS3 for example they would need to maintain two seperate code bases and that
is a lot of work, that is going to increase the possibility of bugs and
other problems. It is far easier for Adobe to do it once and that is it.
This is why Lightroom and ACR are by and large updated together and why they
share the same code base, they only have invent the wheel once.
Now I am sure there is little reason why Adobe couldn't just make 5.1 work
with CS3. But, that goes back to the whole money thing. I guess you could
say ACR is a privilage and not a right. You earn the privilage to use the
lastest ACR by keeping your updates current.
This time around however, I have to say that Adobe did something that I
approve of very much and that is they release ACR 4.6 for CS3 AFTER CS4
shipped adding support for newer cameras. I would like to see Adobe do this
all of the time. That is do one final ACR update for the previous version of
Photoshop after the new version has shipped. I see this as a sort of thank
    you.

  • Does anyone know when Aperture will be able to provide RAW support for the Nikon 1 J3 ?

I have just bought Aperture to support my new camera, a Nikon 1 J3.  I then discovered that this is not one of the Nikon camereas yet supported by Aperture for RAW format pictures.
Does anyone know when this may be addressed in a later version of Aperture?
    Kind regards

Thanks very much for your help.  I see from the discussion threads on this that I am not alone!
I will be visiting my local Apple Store today to see if they know when my camera will be fully supported.
I got it through Cutio in Germany and the instructions were in German which I learnt at school - which is great for travel and holidays but not for reading technical manuals!

I know, patience. Just gripes my soul the P6000 made it and the G10 didn't. Sigh.

  • Camera Raw Support for Canon 7D MkII

Just trying to get some idea if I should spend the $99.00 to buy Aperture from the Apple Store.  This might sound a little over the top, but the work flow I miss by not having RAW support in Lightroom is worth the expense of buying Aperture.
I do find it very disappointing that Adobe have not as yet provided support for the new Canon 7D MkII.  This will be a VERY popular camera.
More importantly I find this tardiness on Adobe's part very disappointing because they market CC buy saying "You will always have up to date software".  When you consider Apple and Google Picasa have both already supported the Canon 7D MkII.  I might add they both had support for the camera within days of it's release on 31 of Oct.
    So after my little rant.
Can anybody from Adobe advise when we will see Camera Raw support the new Canon 7DMkII?
Even if it is in Beta form I would be very happy to be a Beta tester.  I have very extensive experience in testing software and would be prepared to do structured Beta testing.  I would be very happy if someone from Adobe Labs would contact me for the purpose of Beta testing Camera Raw support for the 7D MkII.
    Kind Regards
    Tom Croll

Thanks ssprengel, you have clearly put into words what is currently reality at Adobe, and confirmed my suspicion of Aperture being a dead product.  Although Google's Picasa is not dead.
I do realize Adobe Products are very well developed and software does take time to perfect before it gets released.  I have been in the software development game for 35 years
But Camera RAW is an adjunct to Lightroom, Photoshop, Premier Pro etc.  As such the support for new camera models should be a relatively simple exercise and should not be held up by other R&D on the products that Camera Raw plugs into.  I believe they have in the past released updates to Camera Raw that essentially was just for new camera models.  I do realize I could be wrong on this point, but I fail to see why they can't achieve this outcome.
Also, as I said Adobe Market Creative Cloud membership saying you will always be up to date. Or words to that effect.
To have an Adobe support person get upset because he has a large number of people pestering Adobe, and not him personally, trying to get ans answer as to the timing of the release of support for a new camera model, quite frankly is totally unacceptable.  Not acceptable to the customers and not acceptable to the poor support person who has to handle disgruntled customers due to poor planning on Adobe's part.
In my original post I made a very serious offer to do Beta Testing on support for the Canon 7DMkII Raw files.  But when i last checked with Adobe Labs the current Beta does not include support for this camera.
There maybe extenuating circumstances around the timely supply of this support.  Like when did Canon provide the Specs for the 7D MkII and are those specs so different from other currently supported models.   Even some feedback as to what the problem is, would help us understand.
I hope I have expressed my thoughts objectively and hope this discussion stream will get to management at Adobe.  In fact I am very inclined to ensure it does get to senior management.  I don't want to start writing a personal letter to the Chairman of Adobe's Board, but sometimes things do need a shake up.
    Kind Regards
