RAW Update: Fujifilm X-E2:Fujifilm X-T1:Nikon D3300:Nikon 1 AW1:Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GM1:Pentax K-3

Nothing here for me since I'm Canon, but I did see a lot of posts for K-3 & X-E2 out there. There should be some Happy Photographers!
Look in your software update.

Interesting.  How much is accomplished in the 8bi file without reference to camera-specific profiles?  There are some camera profiles that appear to have been added in acr updates.  for example there is a folder <Canon EOS 70D> in <C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera> (win 7) that contains five profiles (Faithful, Landscape, Neutral, Portrait and Standard).  Would acr be able to process 70D raw image files without these profile files?

  • Camera Raw update for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000

    Hi.
I have Elements 11 and need to update it to open .raw files shot with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000. I can't find the link where I can download the camera raw update.
    Can you please help me?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The FZ1000 requires camera raw 8.6 which is NOT compatible with PSE 11.
You will need to upgrade to PSE 13 or use the DNG converter.

  • HT4757 Is there ever going to be RAW compatibility with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 added to Aperture 3?

Is there ever going to be RAW compatibility with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 added to Aperture 3?
It's a good camera which I think has been overlooked in this area?
    Any advice you good people?

    Hello,
I don't know when but you can send a message to Apple so they can add that in a next update (not 100% sure but you can try).
Go here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/aperture.html and in the Feedback Type select : Harware compatibility.

  • Iphoto and panasonic lumix dmc-fz28 raw (.rw2) files support

It appears that iphoto or max osx does not currently support the panasonic lumix dmc-fz28's raw format (.rw2). Is this true? If so, does anyone know when support will be available? If it is supported today, how do you make it work?

Since even the most recent updates to iPhoto do not contain DMC-FZ28 importers for RAW, I use the free and EXCELLENT +RAW Photo Processor+ ( http://www.raw-photo-processor.com ).
For a donation (I gave $10) it will add the feature to open the converted image into the program of your choice. Of course I use iPhoto, which it automatically launches and then imports the image to it's database. Since it also has both batch capability and the ability to pick the image next to the last RAW image in the directory of your previous photo, it's great for importing large numbers of RAW images into iPhoto.
And the control it gives over your import is incredible, certainly on par with Adobe RAW.
I actually found the settings I like best and saved them as a profile for my camera (it works automatically for all Lumix cameras, but you can tweak them quite finely).
Another nice thing about this little app is it is both multicore and multiprocessor savvy. Since it allows you to pick apps to open the imported images in, there's no limit to the the programs you can chose to add to your drop-down list.
It solved the problem for me!

  • HT201071 Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ70/72 RAW images?

I have Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ70/72, which doesn't figure on the list of supported cameras. What can I do with my RAW images?

If you purchase Lightroom in a store the installation will probably give you Lightroom 5.0. Then you will be prompted that there is an update available. When you choose to update it will update you to Lightroom 5.7.1, which is the current version. There will be no charge for that update or any other additional updates that might come to Lightroom 5.
If you are purchasing from Adobe online then you will probably be sent a link to the current version. Your other option would be to download the trial version and install it. Then just use your serial number from your purchase to activate the trial version.

  • How can i use Nikon D 7100 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 with Photoshop CS 5 Camera Raw?

How can i use Nikon D 7100 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 with Photoshop CS 5 Camera Raw?

The one needs 7.4 (or better), the other 8.1, so Photoshop CS5 with ACR6 is not up to the task.
The free DNG Converter could be used to convert the RAW images to DNG which your version of ACR should be able to process.

  • Oh no- new update and still no support for my panasonic lumix dmc-lx2-

Read the slightly newer topic by Pat Gilmour "Lumix DMC-LX1 RAW......" and you can see it is feasible, if not convenient. Note that for the LX2 you have to follow the instructions for the LX1 but write LX2 instead. It works a beauty for me

  • Does Aperture support RAW files from a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ27 camera?

Please can anyone let me know whether Aperture supports RAW files from a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ27 camera? The Apple Aperture site lists support for DMC-F35 and other later cameras but does not allow a search for others.
    Many thanks.
    John

Only the cameras on this list are supported:  Apple - Aperture - Technical Specifications - RAW Support
    Th FZ27 is not.
For my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 I am using Adobe's free DNG Coverter to convert the RAW files to DNG. It does not always work, but for most of the RW2 files I can work in Aperture this way. The stubborn files I convert to TIFF.

  • When raw for panasonic lumix dmc-fz45, when raw for panasonic lumix dmc-fz45

When raw for panasonic lumix dmc-fz45?

We don't know Apple's plans - this is a User to User Forum. Send feedback to Apple that you want your camera to be supported.
The latest raw support has been released just two days ago, so it probably will be at least a month or longert till the next release. The list of currently supported cameras is here:

  • Opening RAW photos from Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 camera

I am trying to open without success RAW photos from my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 camera after downloading and installing Camera Raw 8.6.  What is my problem?

Can you upload one of these raw files that don't work for you to a place like www.dropbox.com and post public download link to it?  Either something is wrong/different with the files from your camera or something is wrong with the software on your computer.  Being able to test a file on someone else's computer would help narrow down which.
    FWIW, I can open a sample FZ1000 rw2 file in PS-CC2014/ACR 8.6 from here:
    http://img.photographyblog.com/reviews/panasonic_lumix_dmc_fz1000/sample_images/panasonic_ lumix_dmc_fz1000_18.rw2
You might try downloading this specific image and see if it works for you or not.

  • RAW Support for Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5?

When is the RAW Support for Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5 available?

We don't know - only Apple will know that. This is a User-to-User forum.

  • Just purchased Elements12, can't download Raw images from SD card from new Panasonic Lumix DMC-Gx7. CF card from Canon 5D works fine. I understand I have to upgrade camera raw, does anyone know how to do this and where to fine it. Please and thank you..

Can you please tell us which operating system you are running on and details of the camera producing the raw images (Make & Model).
Each different camera model has it's own unique format of the raw file and so the camera raw has to be updated occasionally. Gives us the details above and we can help you further.
I'm new with windows 8 and brand new computer

FWIW, my Help/Updates does not work. My ACR is 8.0 and each time that ACR has been updated during the last year I have tried to update it through Help/Updates and each time I have received in the Application Manager window that opens the text, "Your applications are all up to date." I suppose it is possible that the fact that I have an updated copy of LIghtroom (5.6) is confusing the Application Manager.
Because I do all my Raw processing in LR it does not really bother me that the PSE 12 ACR plugin does not update.

  • Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 RAW

Anyone know the right hack to the raw.plist file, and how to apply it properly in order to get FZ50's RAW files to work with Aperture?
I've tried what I found for the LX1 and what I've learned of making other cameras work. But, the closest I've come is to get my pictures to open and look HORRIBLY distorted.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

It doesn't matter where, but I'd recommend putting it near the entry you're using. So, for example:
    <key>Panasonic-DMC-FZ50</key> <string>Panasonic-DMC-LC1</string> <!-- map DMC-FZ50 to DMC-LC1 -->
Put that right above the DMC-LC1, for example (just like the Leica Digilux 2 entry is). The format of the key entry is "Camera Make"-"Camera Model" from the EXIF.
Also note the color adjustment info won't match up exactly for your camera, so you might want to try the different supported Panasonic models to see what looks best (before the 10.4.9 update the LC1 was the only model supported).
And finally, make sure and backup your Raw.plist in case something goes horribly wrong.

  • Can I download raw images from my Panasonic Lumix DMC - FZ45 to my iMac using Aperture3 ?

I want to start using Aperture3 as long as I can handle Raw images from my Panasonic DMC-FZ45 with it but that camera is not on the list - will it work?

If the camera is not on the list then Aperture will not be able to handle the RAW images from the camera.
It's surprising as this is a relatively old camera, so if it's not in Aperture by now I would  tend to think it won't be included. You could download the trial version and see what happens just to make sure.
One other thing, you could convert the RAW images to DNG using the Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter for Macintosh and then import those.
