RAZERBACK MOUSE COMPATIBLE WITH MAC???

any info on this subject would be nice. i want to get one for my macbook. TY.

Yumchuckit,
I've never heard of a "Razorback" mouse (who makes it?), but any USB or Bluetooth mouse will work with your Macbook. Left- and right-click will be recognized as such, and any scroll wheel should work properly.
What you won't necessarily get is the ability to customize your settings for the mouse. This depends on the manufacturer's support for OS X. Kensington, for example, has the best (IMO) support for OS X by a third-party manufacturer in their "Mouseworks" software. Mouseworks installs as an additional pane in one's System Preferences, and it provides for complete application-by-application customization of the various buttons on any Kensington mouse.
For example, I can right-click on links in Safari to open pages in a new tab. This is set in my Mouseworks pane, and it only affect Safari. I can make similar customizations for every appication (including the Finder) on my MBP, if I so choose.
I really like the Kensington mouse I currently have. It is the Bluetooth PilotMouse mini. Large enough to be used comfortably, but small enough to be portable, with a nice "soft-touch" finish on the top and sides. It has a nice solid "heft" to it, and it doesn't feel like a cheap piece of plastic, like some mice. It only has the two buttons plus a scroll wheel, but it can be configured to accept a "chord" as a third button, and various functions assigned.
Happy hunting for your mouse.
Scott

  • Is the Microsoft 5MH-00001 Wired Desktop 400 keyboard and mouse compatible with mac mini?

Hello, is the Microsoft 5MH-00001 Wired Desktop 400 for Business mouse and keyboard compatible with the mac mini computer? I tried using a generic mouse and the lights of the mouse were on, but I could not click or move the mouse around. Then when I plugged in a dell keyboard, it said the "keyboard is not identified". I could press buttons on the keyboard, but they werent being registered by the mac. I also tried changing my mouse's usb to a different port, but still did not work. So I am worried that the microsoft wired mouse + keyboard I ordered might not work on my mac mini. Is there a way to get my old keyboard and mouse to work at least?

Were these other ones you tried Wired also? If so that's really strange!?
Did you try rebooting with them connected?
I see no reason for the Microsoft 5MH-00001 Wired Desktop 400 for Business to not work, but then any wired Generic KB should work!???

  • Is my HP wired mouse compatible with Mac mini?

    Hi.
I am planning to have a Mac mini. I wanted to know if my 2009 HP wired mouse (Wired) USB 2.0 is compatible with the new Mac mini that supports USB 3.0. I just want to know before I purchase the Mac mini.

USB3 will support USB2 devices much more easily than the other way around. Personally, I'd use more tham compatibility with a mouse I laready have to base a computer buying decision on, but I'm not everyone.
I have a Microsoft mouse that works when I need a wired mouse, but I primarily use the Apple Magic Mouse.
    1. It's Bluetooth so it doesn't tie up a USB port (wired or with a receiver).
    2. It's much more "user friendly" once you learn all it can do.
    3. I prefer the ergonomics of it.

    Hi and welcome to Discussions,
I use two older Logitechs (MX-500 and MX-510) with my Macs because I had difficulties (finger-coordinations) with the Mighty Mouse.
You should not have any problems using them.
However the additional buttons can not be configured by OSX, so if you want using them you can use the Logitech Control Center (works for me, but others have reported problems with it) of third-party software like SteerMouse to configure the buttons.

  • RAZERBACK MICE COMPATIBLE WITH MAC?

any info would be nice if you have one and are using etc. i want to get one for my macbook.

Who's the manufactor of the mice and what do they say.
Most usb mice are compatible but if they don't have OSX drivers you lose the ability to customize the buttons. I had a BT mouse (I think it was the logitech mx1000) that wasn't supported. It worked out of the box but I couldn't configure it. I think since then logitech now supports osx for the mx1000.
There's also a product called usb overdrive. You can find that over at MacUpdate that purports to add support to usb devices that don't otherwise work.
Your best beet though is to get a mouse that is infact supported. Logitech and MS are pretty good about supporting macs but read the fine print just in case. I cannot comment on other companies that produce mice.

  • External Hard Drive Compatible with Mac and Windows?

So my old laptop is a Dell Latitude and I bought a Western Digital external hard drive and put all my files/pics/music on it. The information the WD came with said its compatible with Mac and Windows, but when I plug it into my brand spankin new Macbook, it doesn't register with the computer and won't show up. What's going on?

I recently ran into that problem. In order to have the hard drive compatible for both PC and Mac it must be in a FAT32 format. In order to do this though all your files will be deleted (in order to reformat). You can do this by plugging in the hard drive into you mac and going under disk utility and there you will find your hard drive and under erase change the format to FAT32 and then you press erase (all will be deleted off the external drive though)

  • USB-to-VGA adapter compatible with Mac?

    Hi,
I'm trying to hook up an additional external monitor to my MacBook Pro using a USB-to-VGA adapter. I don't need any kind of graphics acceleration.
Here is the type of adapter I'm looking at:
    http://www.iogear.com/main.php?loc=product&Item=GUC2015V
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812203013
Apparently some have gotten the 2nd one to work on Linux with the sisusb driver. Does anybody know if this is compatible with Mac OS X?
    Thank you!
    MacBook Pro 15"   Mac OS X (10.4.9)   2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB memory

Your Mac came with a DVI to VGA adapter. Why do you need a USB one, when the DVI one is faster and more reliable?
    Note the specs:

If yours was missing the adapter which is shown "In the box", call AppleCare to ask a replacement be sent.

  • Is the LG 22EN33S-B 22-inch LED 1920 x 1080 VGA Monitor compatible with mac via a vga to thunderbolt connection

Is the LG 22EN33S-B 22-inch LED 1920 x 1080 VGA Monitor compatible with mac via a vga to thunderbolt adapter?

The 1080p and 1080i options only appear on the HDMI display settings, the display settings for the thunderbolt to vga adaptor has 1920 x 1080.
Via the HDMI output of the Mini via an HDMI cable to a HDMI input on the Samsung the display fills the screen but the text looks vile.
The options for picture adjustement on the samsung include fill screen as you suggest
Using the thunderbolt to VGA adaptor the text looks as it should, crisp and clear but the display is shitfted to the right.
The options for picture adjustment on the Samsung does not have the 'fill screen' option available when the VGA input is selected. However a new option called 'pc screen adjustment' appears and you can nudge the display over to the left a bit but not enough to cover the whole screen.
I remind you the pc worked perfectly 1920 x 1080 on the same VGA cable and input to the samsung.

  • Looking for a smart card reader compatible with Mac OS X 10.5

    Hi there,
I am looking for a smart card (card with microCPU) reader which is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 .
In substance, what I need is a little space to store all my passwords in, due to the fact that I might forget one: I have many to remember!
I have an USB key, but I use it in many computers, even in ones whose security cannot be 100% trusted.. and I want no doubt when talking about safety.
Here's an image of what I want in poor words:
    http://www.ordnas.it/prodotti/lett_mem/imgpr1592-01-3.jpg
The main issue is that most SC readers are /not/ Mac compatible.
So what brand should I opt for ? What costs should I expect ?
    Thank to everyone who'll help.
    Tyrexionibus

    Thank you for your answer.
This might be a solution, I'll take it seriously.
Can this other be a solution too ?
    http://www.athena-scs.com/product.asp?pid=1
On the manufacturer's page, it's stated that it's compatible with Mac OS X.
41 bucks + shipping + the price of a smart card..
