Droid Razr M update and text messages
After my droid razr m updated the other day, it now has to download text messages. One last night took about 30 minutes to download. It never did this prior to the update. I received messages from some people throughout that day. Prior to the udate, no download, just text message. After the update, download.
How do I get it to stop the download and just show the texts like before?I am having the same issue, my phone was perfect for me before the GREAT UPDATE, then it overheated, shut off whenever it felt like it, freezes whenever, stopped ringing, text messages would take forever, kept getting "downloading" message in text, my group txt sent one txt repeatedly to everyone in the group for a whole day had to turn off my phone, so it would stop, people blocked me until I could get that fixed. Finally I went to the Verizon store and a lovely young lady replaced my phone, when I got it in the mail, the new one wouldn't even power on (really?????) sent that back finally got one that worked properly for about 3 months now it is randomly shutting down again!!!!!
I can turn off auto updates on my pc I want the ablity to turn it off on my phone as well!!!!!
It is the phone and the updates that are not compatible, just because your techs thought of something new doesn't mean that it's good for me, or just stop making blanket improvements as all phones are not equal..Example apparently my Android won't work with that same upgrades as an S4, seeing as how their 2 different phones.(duh)
Frankly i have no problem with the customer service people, you have to stand by your company its your job I get it, but you guys need to take these forums seriously and stop acting like puttng something on here is going to make a difference!!!!
Oh yeah and now this phone is starting to cut off randomly like the other! -
I hate my Motorola Droid Razr! After 3 years it has turned out to be a real crappy cell phone. Does not belong in the "smartphone" category. Forever freezes up, doesn't respond to anything I ask it to do. I am purchasing another brand of smartphone and will NEVER go back to Motorola again. I have tried many help/support tutorials and solutions and nothing works.I HATE THIS PHONE!!!
If you've had the phone for 3 years, then it's time for something new. The Motorola phones I've had have been pretty solid, but if you want to switch brands or even providers, then go for it.
Technology changes so quickly that a 3 year old phone, regardless of manufacturer, is likely to seem slow, buggy, laggy - simply because it doesn't have the power to match the network capabilities NOW. If it's only capable of 3G speeds, it will be slow compared to a phone with 4G capability. After three years of use, the internal memory may be maxed out, especially if you haven't cleared stuff out, wiped the cache, etc, causing freezing and non-responsiveness. It may not have enough RAM to effectively run updated apps....
I would say you are due for a new phone - so compare the newest models, go to a store and try them out, and then get whatever brand and model will work best for you. -
I accepted/installed an update for iMovie and it turns out that this version is not compatible with my graphics card. So now I can no longer open or use iMovie. Any ideas on how to get around this - how to revert to the previous version??
Look in your Applications folder. If your system behaved as expected, you should have an iMovie 9.0 folder in your Applications folder. Apple moved the old version there as even they suspected the new versions was a train wreck.

My ipad has gone into recovery mode after an "error occured" whilst trying to update it. Will it come out of recovery on it's own? There is a lot of data I want to save before restoring it to factory settings
FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY. -
I forgot the password to my ipod touch, when I try t restore and update thru itunes it keeps timing out at the end of the download?

I try to update my apps but when I click update all a blue box comes out with a apple Id that is old and I don't use it no more I went to I iTunes store and changed all my info but it still comes out not my new one so it's not letting me
It's been some time since I changed my Apple ID, but if memory serves, when I did I received an email from Apple saying my ID had been changed I had to confirm the change. Did you get a confirmation email from Apple? If you did not, call AppleCare and let them know you changed your ID and are having this issue.

I have a task sequence that runs on servers to automatically install the advertised updates in software center. I have one server that is not installing these updates and from the smsts log I see an error about "CI Version times out" Does anyone

why is it when i download the software update for iphone an error pops out when downloading is finish and processing file is being done...i've already tried several time but still the same result.

Softbank does not offer unlocking at all. You can not use that phone with another carrier. Sell it before you leave and buy one you can use in the country where you intend to use it.
