RBE 3.0 and SolMan

Hi,
We have downloaded data from our ECC 5.0 system (with ZRBE_MAIN) to the RBE 3.0 database and created an ACH using the Configurator.
Next step is to run an Extract job downloading data from the ECC system.
Question :
Is it possbile to move the downloaded/analyzed data from our RBE-database to our Solution Manager 4.0 system ?
Rgds,
Christian

Not possible. You need RBE+ to integrate to SolMan.

  • Any standard RFC there to communicate between satellite system and Solman?

    Hi Gurus,
Any standard RFC there to communicate between satellite system and Solman?
                   Thanks in advance.
    Regs,
    BBR.

following four RFCs are created so as to initiate the communication between the satellite system and the solman system
    _READ, _TRUSTED, _BACK, _TMW
but, you have to Read the Links and the Notes too to understand their names and their meaning

  • Integration between IBM's 'eESM' help Desk and SolMan...??

    Hi All
Hopefully someone can help we with a answer..:-))
We are currently using IBM as external vendor to run our Service Desk.
They are using a system called 'Manange Now' (eESM) which we think
is about the worst help desk tool we have ever seen....!!! My question
is does anybody have experience with interfacing eESM and SolMan..??
IBM have just told me that currently it's not possible to interface the
2 systems and to my knowledge that's just not true...!!!
    Please advice..:-))
    Best regards
    Peter

    Dear Peter,
If you want to connect a third party product like a Remedy Call Tracking
System (Peregrine ServiceCenter) to the Service Desk, use the SAP
Business Connector. This is an infrastructure offer from SAP to export
messages to another call tracking systems. The SAP Business Connector
handles data structure mapping and output into the requested format
    (SMTP, HTTP).
The transfer of messages can be triggered by a scheduled background job
or initiated manually. The data structure for the export interface is
    determined by the SES/SIS standard.
Requirements for implementation at the customer site
    - SAP Solution Manager up and running
    - Background job scheduled in SAP Solution Manager for export data
    - SAP Business Connector (SAP BC) up and running
    - Import of a transport into SAP BC
    - Modification / adjustment of your call tracking system to enable case
creation based on data from SAP BC (third party consulting may be
    necessary)
For further details see SAP Note 529754 and follow this link :
    http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager -> "Functions in Detail" ->
"Support Area" -> "Message Handling Process"
Check the section "Interface between Service Desk and a Third Party Call
    Tracking System "
    Hope this information helps.

  • I want to connect ecc 6.0 server and SOLMAN server together

Hello All , I need your help please ,
I`m working on ecc 6.0 on windows server 2008 R2 and i want to upgrade some components via EHPI ,
So after reading i reached that I need to install SOLMAN on another seperate server to generate the XML stack files for EHPI from t-code " mopz " .
I`ve installed the SOLMAN on another server " windows server 2008 R2 " , and succsesfully finished .
Now i have two seperated servers one for ECC and the other one for solution manager 7.1 .
NOW I NEED to connect the two servers together to let them see each other .
How Can I Connect them together Step by step Please ???
Hope to help Immedietly And thnx in advance.

    Hi Rami,
Once the basic configurations are done. It will be just 30 minutes sufficient to complete the connections between Solution manager and ECC 6 system.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc70sp02/helpdata/en/83/47421d68ea497fb7b813e17843122d/content.htm
    Above link for the same.
You should create ECC system in solution manager as below link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc70sp02/helpdata/en/45/56dd10b5f62a50e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
Set SUser id to solution manager which comes under the basic settings.

Maintain SAPOSS RFC connection, hope you have an SAPROUTER setup for your company.
Please let us know if you are facing any issues.

  • Error with ECC 6.0 and Solman Ehp1 on same system

    Hi,
I implemented Ecc 6.0 on Windows server 2008 and sql server 2005. Then i installed solman 7.0 ehp1. I had used athe vbscript for solman key which was available online.  i Created two seperate SID for them and DBSID but using the same instance of database.
After successfully implementing both of them only one runs fine at the same time.  Either ECC or solman will run disp+work.exe of one of them gets stopped.
Can someone help me out with this?
    Edited by: Dshah_EnCrisp on Aug 2, 2009 6:28 AM

    Hai,
Try to check the Memory requirements, post the dev_disp, dev_w* files for our analysis.
As you said that you have single DB for both the systems, did you follow the installation steps carefully for MCOD systems.

  • Question about SLD, j2ee and solman

for the implementation aspects of solman 4.0, i.e. roadmaps, project planning, etc....do you need to have the j2ee and SLD configured for this?  Currently my j2ee engine is hung. It never gets past the "starting application" part.
    1|server0             |J2EE Server         |   23028|Starting application
State of JControl : Some processes running
State inside MS   : Some processes running
    Thnx!!

    Hello Drew,
For the implementation escenarios you don´t need to have the J2EE up.
For opening connections and maybe for Service Desk scenario you need to have the J2EE up and running.
If SLD is not running in SMSY ensure that the system defined has the entry Data source "system RFC"
For the Solman diagnostic of course you need the J2EE .
Check in the std_* log of work directory what is the problem with the J2EE,
you only need to look in most update files for "error" entry and search for the error

  • Installing CRM question and SOLMAN Generate Required Key

    Hi everyone,
I have been trying to install the sap crm 5.0 , but there is a section where the installer asks for some Solutions Manager Key that i need to generate on the SAP SOLMAN. The thing is that i dont have any sap solman running.
I have been reading several posts where basically its says that is a req. that sap established for the crm systems.
    Anyways, i have 2 questions.
    1. Installing the SAP SOLMAN is just the same process as installing r/3 or crm, that i need to update the OS, install the dbms (upgrade it and patch it), get the kernel, export, installation master cd's and well follow the inst guide?
Or there is something else i need to have, like an r/3 system  running ?
    2. It's possible if i give to you guys the SAP SID, Instance Number, Hostname,  of the crm environment i want to install, that somebody with solman generates the key for me?
    Thanx in advance.

SolMan is a complete separate system with separate database, combined ABAP + Java instance, so to say an "R/3 system running" (to speak with your words).

that is possible - but you won't be able to get patches and updates after April 2nd of this year, SolMan and Maintenance Optimizer is mandatory till then.

  • Different Environment Variable in OS and Solman

    Hi dear experts,
I have a weird question here. I set the environment variable in the OS as blew:
    smsp:smpadm 52> echo $PATH
    /sybase/SMP/ASE-15_0/jobscheduler/bin:/sybase/SMP/ASE-15_0/bin:/sybase/SMP/ASE-15_0/install:/sybase/SMP/DBISQL/bin:/sybase/SMP/OCS-15_0/bin:/usr/sap/SMP/DVEBMGS00/exe/sapjvm_4/bin:/home/smpadm/bin:/usr/sap/SMP/hdbclient:/sapdb/programs/bin:/sapdb/clients/SMP/bin:/sapdb/clients/SMP/pgm:/sapdb/programs/pgm:/sapdb/programs:/sapdb/programs/lib:/root/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/usr/lib/mit/bin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin:/usr/lib/mit/bin:/usr/lib/mit/sbin:/usr/sap/SMP/SYS/exe/uc/linuxx86_64:/usr/sap/SMP/SYS/exe/run:/home/smpadm:.
But in solman, I run the same command in RSBDCOS0, get this:
    echo $PATH
    /usr/sap/SMP/DVEBMGS00/exe:/sybase/SMP/ASE-15_0/jobscheduler/bin:/sybase/SMP/ASE-15_0/bin:/sybase/SMP/ASE-15_0/install:/sybase/SMP/DBISQL/bin:/sybase/SMP/OCS-15_0/bin:/usr/sap/SMP/DVEBMGS00/exe/sapjvm_4/bin:/home/smpadm/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/u
It's same as what I found in program by debugging. And that's the reason why I failed to install MaxDB.
I have restarted solman, but the issue persisted. Can you give me any advices? Thank you.

  • Merge workbench request and solman request

I have created a workbench request outside solman, now a solman request is created for that workbench object. how to merge the old request with solman request?
    thanks

    Hi sudeer,
you can do this by logging into Development system and open the solman TR through Se09 and right click - you will have many options wherin u can select Include Object / merge request and then provide the TR task number created outside solman. Now your solman TR will have the object assigned under it and can be moved to QA and Production through solman.
    Hope it solves your problem.
    Reward points for helpful solution.

  • NWBC and Solman

    Hi ,
I am looking to use NWBC for Solman. I tried to connect with path /sap/bc/solman/nwbc/solmanwork. Is that right?
When I test thi service I have an error:No administration role defined for cockpit "solmanwork". It looks like it searchs for role "SAP_DAL_ADMIN_solmanwork" or "Z_DAL_ADMIN_solmanwork".
Do I need to create them? Where should I assign them?
Edit: I created a role Z_DAL_ADMIN_SOLMANWORK, copy of SAP_SMWORK_CHANGE_MAN and assigned it to the cockpit solmanwork via NWBC_SET_ADDITIONAL_ROLE_ATTR.
Now I have an error of connexion (401):
ERROR   <NWBC::CConnectionManager> | Failed to load content from connection Solution Manager! (error Non autoris.. (401), error code 1)
    Thanks a lot,
    Julien

    Hi,
Same problem here. We want to integrate NWBC with the SolMan workcenters to give an "easy" acess to SolMan to our managers.
Is there any documentation, guideline etc. about how to make this configuration?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jon

    Hi Imran,
This may sound familiar, but the best place that I keep using and recommending to all is
    http://service.sap.com/rkt-solman
You have to supply your S user ID and password.
Once inside, you may select Solution Manager 4.0 and under the relevant headings, you'd find quite a lot of PDF and SAP Tutor files.
    Best regards,

  • System Copy and SOLMAN Key

    Hi Gurus,
I just need clarification on this. I plan to build a new system using system copy menthod. Would I require a Key from Solution Manager for this new installation?
    Appreciate your feedback.
    Thanks,
    SS

    Hi
You'll need to install new license key after the system copy.
You must first delete all old licenses in tcode SAPLICENSE, then, request a new license at http://service.sap.com/licensekey
to do this you will also need a a new hardware key which helps in creating a new license key...
make sure you delete the system in the service market place and  create a new system with the hardware key you get and then request the license.
    Cheers,
    Chaith
