Rc.sysinit and btrfs: not show partition during the boot

Hi,
I see, during the boot, that show only partition NOT in btrfs...
e.g i have two partitions: /dev/sda1 for / in ext4 and /dev/sda3 for /home in btrfs
during the boot I see only /dev/sda1 clean but I don't see /dev/sda3...
But partition mounted correctly.
This my fstab
/dev/sda1 / ext4 defaults,relatime,commit=10 0 1
/dev/sda3 /home btrfs defaults,relatime 0 2
/dev/sda2 swap swap defaults 0 0

btrfs's fsck prog doesn't use the same name scheme as every other fsck prog (fsck.FSNAME). I don't know if renaming /sbin/btrfsck would be lethal to other btrfs utilities, so a symlink takes care of it:
# ln -s /sbin/{btrfsck,fsck.btrfs}
uhm...thank's...
I'll try later, now I have experimented with udev, hal, usb device, xfce, default mount options

    Hi daveormond,
    I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iMac. If you continue to have issues with your Mac shutting down part way through the boot up process, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following articles helpful (given your description, it sounds like it could be either issue, or a combination of both):

  • Music and icon not showing up at the top of my iTune window

    Hi, I'm new user of iTune.  The problem I'm having is that:
    The movie and music icons does not show up at the top of my iTune Store window so I can't download music, any solution to this?  I only see App Store, Books, Podcasts and iTunesU -- no music nor movie.
    Does this have anything to do with my appID?
    To buy music and movies:
    In the iTunes Store, click Music or Movies at the top of the iTunes Store window.  <-- I can't even do this since i don't see any "music" tab/icon at the top
    Browse or search for a song, album, music video, or movie.

    Scroll to the bottom right corner of the window, click on the flag, and specify your country. If it's already specified, no music or videos are available except through podcast episodes.

  • My iphone 4 screen went black and will not come back on, the screen lights up but is still black and will not show anything on the screen, it still vibrates though. help

    my iphone 4 screen went black and will not show anything on it, the phone still vibrates and lights up but the screen is black, HELP.

    I have a similar problem.  I restored my iPhone 5 to the latest available OS.  After completing the process the phone never restarted.  The phone was fully charged when I restored it but now refuses to charge past the red battery icon.  I have been able to get the phone in UFD mode several times and have been able to load the new OS on the phone.  The Apple logo does come on and the software fully loads.  iTunes tells me the phone will restart but never does.  I left it to charge all night but it never appeared to load the battery.  This morning I went to the Grand Central Terminal apple store for help.  A woman at the store plugged the phone in but it never charged.  She absolutely refused to believe that I got my phone in UFD mode and loaded any software on.  I don't think it is a battery issue.  The only solution I was given was to buy a new phone.  Repairing it was out of the question.  At this point the phone is completely useless.  Thanks in advance for the help.

  • JSR-75 and Files not showing up during File Browing

    I was wondering if this is a known issue because I cannot make sense of it. In running the default sample code from sun for browsing filesystems using JSR-75 and sometimes files in my filesystem just stop showing up! I am trying this with WTK25 and using Eclipse for development. The files will be showing up and suddenly when I traverse my tree using the emulator all I see is 'root1' and 'photos' while the default Readme file and the extra images I placed are not showing up. I've made sure to put content in every filesystem I could find (DefaultColorPhone/DefaultGrayPhone etc). I've tried erasing and readding files, even cycling my machine. I know about the emulator's ability to mount other filesystems but the short of it is I have no idea why I cannot see my files, only these strange default directories.
    In fact, if I erase root1/photos from DefaultColorPhone it still shows up when I browse. I've searched my computer for other locations. Is this a known issue?
    thanks

    Control-click an application's Dock icon and choose Show in Finder. You'll most likely find that it's at the top level of the drive and you dragged the file to the one in your home folder.

  • IBOutlet UITextField and UILabel not showing up in the Interface Builder

    This is weird -- I have defined the fields for UITextField and UILabel's... but they are not showing up for me to connect the objects to the View. Any ideas?
    DistanceViewController.h
    @interface DistanceViewController : UIViewController {
    IBOutlet UITextField *txtMeters;
    IBOutlet UITextField *txtYards;
    IBOutlet UITextField *txtStatuteMiles;
    IBOutlet UITextField *txtNauticalMiles;
    IBOutlet UILabel *lblStatus;
    @property (nonatomic,retain) IBOutlet UITextField *txtMeters;
    @property (nonatomic,retain) IBOutlet UITextField *txtYards;
    @property (nonatomic,retain) IBOutlet UITextField *txtStatuteMiles;
    @property (nonatomic,retain) IBOutlet UITextField *txtNauticalMiles;
    @property (nonatomic,retain) IBOutlet UILabel *lblStatus;
    - (IBAction) updateText: (id) sender;
    @end
    DistanceViewController.m
    @synthesize txtMeters, txtYards, txtStatuteMiles, txtNauticalMiles, lblStatus;
    - (IBAction) updateText: (id) sender {
    The DistanceViewController.xib does not allow me to attach any of the fields to their respective variables. It does allow me to connect the method updateText though.... it compiles and the test run shows the fields, but the method never triggers (of course...)

    Have you tried Build->Clean All Targets? That's my best guess, but if it doesn't help here are a few sanity checks that might point somewhere:
    Ctrl-click on the view controller object (normally the File's Owner proxy) to bring up its connections panel. Do you see updateText under received actions, but none of the declared IBOutlets under Outlets? Do you see the view outlet, and is it connected to the view? I assume the controller object is set to the DistanceViewController class (else how does it know about updateText?), but it wouldn't hurt to check. I would even go to the Identity Inspector, set the object's class to UIViewController, look at the connections panel, then set it back to DistanceViewController. Select the controller object again, Ctrl-click to bring the connections panel back, then open the Connections Inspector. Does the panel match the inspector?
    If none of the above give you a clue, I might go back to DistanceViewController.h, remove the action method, then go back to IB and see if the change is reflected in the connections panel or inspector.
    I can't think of what else to try atm, but I'll post again if I have another idea.

  • Windows startup disk not showing up after the boot camp is done partitioning.

    OK, Boot Camp finished making a partition for windows on my SSD (I gave it 30GB), and it restarded my computer. I pressed the alt key so i could chosse the windows drive so i could begin the installation, BUT the option to open the windows drive was not there! The only otions I had was to startup from Mac OSX, Recovery Disk and a USB Flash drive Named Windows(I tried it previously but it didnt work because it didnt detect my mouse or keyboard). I the booted up from mac so i could make sure that the partition was created and it was. When i went on startup disk preferences on System Preferences the computer couldent detect a Boot Camp drive only the main Macintosh HD. What am I supposed to do?
    I am using a Macbook Pro late 2013 13"
    (excuse my English as it is not my first language)
    EDIT: I do not have NTFS 3G or a similar program installed.

    a few things
    what is your exact model mac? which windows are you trying to install?
    i'm a fan of small windows partitions, but 30gb is too small unless you're absolutely sure that you will not use any major data consuming apps like music, video or gaming. also, you will HAVE to disable hibernation and the pagefile (google). the smallest we run is 35gb with 40gb being much better
    does your mac have an internal optical drive? if so, you need to burn your windows iso onto a physical disc unless the newer 2013 macs let you usb install, which would be news to me
    use only a usb2 flash drive

  • Songs that I have purchased are missing in iTunes (file not found/exclmation point), and do not show up in the iTunes Store for download.

    I have a laptop that has (or had) pretty much all of my music, both burned from CDs and downloaded from iTunes. My 17 year old son on occasion syncs his iPhone and iPad with this laptop. As of the last sync (as best I can determine), many songs that I purchased in the past few years are now missing, in that they have an exclamation point to the left of the song title, and when I try to play the song, I get an error message that says "The song could not be used because the original file could not be found" or something to that effect. As it turns out, the file seems to be erased. This has happened multiple times, and I could be wrong, but I believe that there are some songs that had the exclmation point last time he synced that now don't, and vice-versa. There is not an obvious correlation or grouping as to why these songs are missing (e.g,. they were not all purchased on the same date, not all songs from one artist are missing, etc.).
    Since most of these songs have been purchased through iTunes through my account, my reaction was to go to the iTunes store, log in with my account, and re-download them. Problem is, all of these songs instead ask me to purchase the song, instead of displaying a "cloud" logo. Therefore, it appears that I have to re-purchase these songs, which does not sound correct.
    Questions: Does anyone know, most importantly (to get an immediate fix):
    1. How can I re-download these songs and why doesn't iTunes Store recognize that I have already purchased them?
    and perhaps as important (more of a long-term question):
    2. Why does this happen and how can I prevent this from happening again (since it has happened multiple times)?
    Thanks.

    1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
    2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

    Sorry if this seems negative but you really should post such a question in the iPhone section of Apple Communities.   You are much more likely to get expert help there immediately.
    Just re-post with the same detail.

  • My ipod was stolen and its not showing up on the find my iphone app... how else can I find it?

    Ive tried multiple ways of finding my ipod. The find my iphone app is not even showing my ipod. Not sure if there is any other ways to find it??? I have the serial number and all info for the ipod. Help!

    Assuming you had Find My iPhone enabled in the iCloud settings of the device, it will show only if it has a connection to the internet.

    I have just installed a new hard drive in my imac intel 20" (2006) and upgraded the memory and now the hard drive does not show up in the 'select destinations' folder of the install program. I can see the hard drive in the disk utilities window however it wont let me do anything.
    It is a seagate 1TB SATA II drive however it is displaying it as a 7.3 TB.
    If anyone has any suggestions I would be happy to hear them.
    I have tried to erase and partition and get the same error message each time, 'Input/Output error'.
    I have tried starting the thing with the install disk which is Mac OS X (Tiger?) which came with the computer. No good.
    Anyone?

    Thats correct. I can see it in the list however when I attempt to erase it or partition it it's like it's not being found or recognised and it throws up the input/output error message. I am pretty sure that the sensor it attached correctly and it is a SATA drive. I can see all the infor regarding the drive when disk utility is open and it all looks good but I cant access it or do anything with it. It's taunting me!
    The install disk is in the drive and the install program runs right up to the point where you have to select the location for the install and there is just nothing in the box where you have to select the hard drive icon.
    I have my suspiscions about the drive but any help would be appreciated.

    You should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to the iPhone (or you could re-download them directly on the iPhone)
