RCConsole MFC Application encountered a problem
Sometimes when I use "DESKTOP4.exe" to run a remote control session I
receive an error message (no err #) stating "RCConsole MFC Application
has encountered a problem and needs to close." and eventually searching
through error reports the file ZRMRESLD.dll usually gets mentioned. If I
retry things may works OK, or work OK and the message displays after I
close the session, or the message pops-up at the beginning and I have to
close down the application.I have tried changing between DRISHITI and
DARPAN modes but this does not seem to make any difference.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. PETER

RCConsole MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close
Alright, heres the issue. I am a computer lab admin trying to remote
view workstations in my lab. I am running ConsoleOne from the server,
once i start ConsoleOne I will be able to remote view/control maybe one
or two computers before i get the error "RCConsole MFC Application has
encountered a problem and needs to be closed immediately"
I can fix this by going into the task manager and closing the
RCConsole.exe process. However i might get one or two computers before
it comes back. I searched the internet for a solution to this and heard
that if i copy the ConsoleOne directory from the server to my local
machine it will work. So I did that and yes it did work, however we are
running a diskless boot system and if I were to copy the directory to
the local machine it would be gone as soon as I reboot.
Ive done some random testing and discovered the following
the console one directory is located on the server in
/sys/public/mgmt/consoleone/1.2/bin
i tried copying the console one directory to the root c: and it worked
fine
then i tried copying it to my network drive on the server
/data/home/grastyc/consoleone/1.2/bin and it worked fine
so based on that i tried mapping a drive to /sys/public/mgmt and tried
running it from there, didnt work.
Any help would be much appreciatedVc++ error messages, fatal errors: Error message: Msvc32i MFC application has encountered a problem and needs to close MFC vc++ c++

RCConsole MFC application error
When I use ZfD Remote Controle v6.5 (via DSRazor or command prompt), I get
the error message "RCConsole MFC Application has encountered a problem and
needs to close. It seems that when I use C1 the error does not occur.
The remote machine gets the request to "accept" the remote control
connection, but as soon as "accept" is clicked, the machine that initiated
the remote connection gets the error.
Error signature:
applic name : rconsole.exe
appver: 6.5.2.0
modname: zrmresld.dll
modver: 6.5.1.0 (strange that this is not 6.5.2)
I have the latest Novell Client - 4.91.2 and I'm running ZfD Agents 6.5.20.
Can someone help? Thanks.RCConsole is NOT designed for using it from the command prompt, but on 5 Jan
2006 this article was posted on the Novell CoolSolutions.
Total confusion or Novell at its best? :-(

Using RCConsole as a replacement for Wviewnt
Novell Cool Solutions: Tip

ENVIRONMENT:
ZENworks for Desktops 6.5
ConsoleOne 1.3.6PROBLEM: Under ZENworks for Desktops 3.2 (and previous
versions) we used to use Wviewnt.exe to remote control machines from the
command line outside of ConsoleOne. This was very handy for
remote-controlling regularly controlled machines, such as licence servers,
card swipe machines etc.
However wviewnt.exe does not seem to work with ZENworks for desktops 6.5.
TID 10023508 does not include information for using this with ZENworks 6.5
SOLUTION: Use RCConsole.exe from ConsoleOne 1.3.6 (in ...
ConsoleOne\1.2\bin\zen\RCLaunch\ ) as a replacement for wviewnt.exe.

Netware zenworks desktop management 7 RCConsole MFC applicat
I am using Zen v7. I have found that when I remote into computers, open a DOS window, try to ping an IP, after I type a few characters into the DOS window, an Windows error pops up "RCConsole MFC application problem...." IT disconnects me from the remote control.
When I try to reconnect, i get a 1805: this app is currently being performed on the target machine and will not be available.
This seems to only happen on DOS windows and Green screen mainframe applications like WRQ Reflections.
Anyone have a fix for this. Searching Forums and Google have similar problems but no fixes.
Thankscontinued

InterVideo WinDVR Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.
My TV Anywhere has suddenly stopoed working and the message "InterVideo WinDVR Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." appears each time I try to open the program. MSI Radio works fine. I have uninstalled and re-installed the programe (originally MSIPVS now MSIPVS3). I did try to download the new Beta drivers just to try, but the zip file shows 0 bytes!
Has anyone come across this, or can anyone suggest what I can try to resolve the issue?
Many thanks in anticipation

Application Error: Adobe Has Encountered a Problem?
I know this thread is a million times posted and one fix for one system doesn't resolve the issue for another system so instead of reinventing the wheel with this error I am reverse engineering the error. I will post what fixes it for my situation in hopes to find a permanent long term solution instead of a simple bandage. I have an internal application that uses a pdf reader to view pdf's and when using Adobe Reader 9.x (multiple versions attempted and all properly uninstalled/reinstalled), a popup is displayed onscreen with the generic Adobe Reader has Encountered a Problem and Needs to Close notification. After reading many posts regarding this error and attempting a multitude of fixes I was able to identify my point of failure. The application calling upon Adobe is launched as a different user then the actual user signed into the OS (application is launched as an administrator account but the user is actually a limited user account) so when Adobe attempts to access user specific files then it fails and inevitably crashes the application. I have added special permissions to every file ProcMon identifies as being touched (Adobe included) but still end up with the same results (all other readers work fine but I prefer Adobe) so the only work around was to imbed a call out into the application code to forever launch Adobe as a set user anytime certain extensions were called upon. Outside the application Adobe works fine and there are zero errors when launching pdf's, internal and external to IE. However, I am now experiencing other issues due to this "arranged marriage" between these two applications (i.e. a third OS user attempts to use this application then it fails, File does not begin with '%PDF-') so if anyone has ever been able to find the root of this error under these circumstances (a solution would be a bonus) then any added assistance in where to go next would be greatly appreciative. Many thanks all!

The application has encountered a problem and needs to close
I'm building an application on LV using TABs, FPGA DLLs and DLLs that comunicate with CAN, GPIB and PCI devices.
The program apears to work properly but sometimes, and I can't see the patern, it crashes with the error "the application has encountered a problem and needs to close..."
Sometimes the error apears when I'm trying to exit the program, some other times it crashes before that.
I can't find the error because the program may work well for several hours and then crash or it crashes after 5 minutes of working with it.
Any clues on what is going wrong?

Daniel Coelho

Solved!
Go to Solution.I'm still going through the example, but since the error ocours sporadicaly this could take some time to pinpoint the error.
I was reviewing the code and I was wondering about some simple things, like:
- I have to many local variables, could this be causing somekind of an error?
- since I'm using DLLs on my code, are there a way to make sure that all DLLs are loaded and unloaded correctly?
My program has a TAB with a simple TestStand user interface and when I change TABs I close the teststand ui; when I use that user interface I load and unload the same DLLs that I use on the other TABs, i. e., when using the UI I load all the DLLs that comunicate with the devices and when I change TABs I unload all the DLLs because on each separate TAB I can control those devices indicidually.
It's a bit hard to explain but I think I managed
Is there some truth on my questions? If so, what could I do?

I keep getting this message when i connect my new Bold 9900 and started getting it on my curve 8330 a couple months ago. I have the newest version of desktop manager 6.0 installed on both my laptop and my PC. The strange thing is it works flawlessly on my laptop, no error messages from either phone. Just got the new Bold last week, plugged it in to PC, same error. I have done alot of reading through the forums and have tried to uninstall and re-install the desktop software 3 or 4 times. Even tried upgrading the OS on the Curve and Bold on the Laptop. Plugged it back into the PC and same problem. I cannot force the Loader.exe to start on PC when I click on it on the C:\program Files/Common Files/Research in Motion/Apploader, crashes right away. Even tired a method that outlines how delete registry entries, etc and tried that. Does anyone have any further ideas or more detailed way to resolve this. Seems to be desktop manager issue as no problems with same devices on laptop.

This problem has been occurring for months for me now, and still, I have not found a solution. There used to be no problem. The solutions I found online including in this forum do not work for me. I have uinstalled and reinstalled all bb softwares on my computer, I have deleted the apploader files, i have restored my XP computer to its factory settings and updated everything from scratch, from SP1 to SP3, and still, no solution is in sight.
I copied the error log which is found below: I hope somebody can decipher this and offer a solution;
Thanks.

Any help would be appreciated.Hi,
I would like to suggest you run System File Checker with command: sfc /scannow to scan and repair the system files.
If it does not work, please also test the issue in Clean Boot.
Clean Boot
================
Let’s disable all startup items and third party services when booting. This method will help us determine if this issue is caused by a loading
program or service. Please perform the following steps:
1. Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box, and then press Enter.
Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC) window.
2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray).
3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".
Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System
Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK.
What’s the result in Clean Boot?

I've downloaded Lightroom 5.6 today but it won't completely load before windows pops up and says that it has encountered a problem and is shutting the application down. What is my next step....thanks?
If you use extensions like <i>Adblock Plus</i> or <i>NoScript</i> or <i>Flashblock</i> that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.<br />
You can see the installed Firefox extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions".
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

'Handheld Application Loader Wizard has encountered a problem and needs to close'
Message Edited by charlieh1 on 05-07-2009 07:56 PM
Message Edited by charlieh1 on 05-07-2009 07:57 PMI just received my new BB Curve 8900 on o2 UK, and after installing the latest version of Blackberry Desktop Manager and connecting my phone the following error message comes up
'Handheld Application Loader Wizard has encountered a problem and needs to close'
followed by the message
'A fatal error has occured whilst updating your devices software. Please try again.'
I'm pretty new to Blackberry and tried reinstalling the software but the message continues to come up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Handheld Application Wizard has encountered a problem
When starting up the Blackberry Desktop Software I get a message that the Handheld Application Loader Wizard has encountered a problem. I also get a new hardware found and then a problem has occurred every time I plug in the USB cable to the phone. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software without success.
PC is running XP SP3
BB Desktop 6.1.0.35
Other functions work. I can synch music and backup.
I would appreciate any help.I had the same error on my Torch using BBDTM (Desk Top Mgr) Version 6.1.0.35 for a while till I realized that when one installs new device software (in my case : Software Name: BlackBerry Handheld Software v6.0.0.2391 for Torch version 6.0 Bundle 2391) it did not clear the 'AppLoader' folder of the previous files which was in my case the reason for the 'Handheld Application Loader Wizard' error.
You can skip the next paragraph unless you are curious.
Check out this link on your PC: ' C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader' and check what version the 'loader .exe' file is running, i.e. Loader.exe is probably File Version: 6.0.1.33 (I held my mouse over the file name 'Loader.exe' to see what version number ) ( by the way: File Version: 6.0.1.37 meant also trouble on my PC as well). You can force this error by first retiring your DTM and then double click (run) the 'loader.exe' file...=> and you should get the familiar error without the DTM alive (clou here...).
What helped in my case: I highlighted all the files in the 'AppLoader' folder (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader) and deleted them all. Make sure the folder is empty before the next step.
I then removed my 'Blackberry Device Software v6.0 for the Blackberry Smartphone ' on my PC via the 'Add or Remove Programs' accessed by the control panel. I then reinstalled the same software again and now I had the proper files in this folder with File Version: 6.0.1.15. (When I shut down the DTM and ran (double-clicked) the' loader.exe' file the loader wizard worked correctly. Depending on the service provider you might experience a different FileVersion but it should now work properly).
I don't know whether this will help in your case but it did for me. In case you are looking for the device software it can be found here:
http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
find: North America => in my case I selected 'Bell Mobility Inc.' ( I guess each service provider gets their own version)
next page => 'Download for Bell Mobility Inc.'
1. You must download both the desktop and handheld software to a temporary location on your hard
drive.
2. Be sure to install the desktop software first, then the handheld software on your computer. The
handheld software will update the software on your BlackBerry Wireless Handheld(TM)
I selected: BackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone and then downloaded the above device software.
What did I learn? There was no issue with the DTM or my Torch 9800 contrary to some comments elsewhere but with Windows XP 'Remove software'. 'Remove' did not remove obsolete files to allow new AppLoader device files to load properly when the device software was reinstalled.
Good luck,
