RCConsole MFC application error

When I use ZfD Remote Controle v6.5 (via DSRazor or command prompt), I get
the error message "RCConsole MFC Application has encountered a problem and
needs to close. It seems that when I use C1 the error does not occur.
The remote machine gets the request to "accept" the remote control
connection, but as soon as "accept" is clicked, the machine that initiated
the remote connection gets the error.
Error signature:
applic name : rconsole.exe
appver: 6.5.2.0
modname: zrmresld.dll
modver: 6.5.1.0 (strange that this is not 6.5.2)
I have the latest Novell Client - 4.91.2 and I'm running ZfD Agents 6.5.20.
Can someone help? Thanks.

RCConsole is NOT designed for using it from the command prompt, but on 5 Jan
2006 this article was posted on the Novell CoolSolutions.
Total confusion or Novell at its best? :-(

Using RCConsole as a replacement for Wviewnt
Novell Cool Solutions: Tip

ENVIRONMENT:
ZENworks for Desktops 6.5
ConsoleOne 1.3.6PROBLEM: Under ZENworks for Desktops 3.2 (and previous
versions) we used to use Wviewnt.exe to remote control machines from the
command line outside of ConsoleOne. This was very handy for
remote-controlling regularly controlled machines, such as licence servers,
card swipe machines etc.
However wviewnt.exe does not seem to work with ZENworks for desktops 6.5.
TID 10023508 does not include information for using this with ZENworks 6.5
SOLUTION: Use RCConsole.exe from ConsoleOne 1.3.6 (in ...
ConsoleOne\1.2\bin\zen\RCLaunch\ ) as a replacement for wviewnt.exe.

  • RCConsole MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close

    Alright, heres the issue. I am a computer lab admin trying to remote
    view workstations in my lab. I am running ConsoleOne from the server,
    once i start ConsoleOne I will be able to remote view/control maybe one
    or two computers before i get the error "RCConsole MFC Application has
    encountered a problem and needs to be closed immediately"
    I can fix this by going into the task manager and closing the
    RCConsole.exe process. However i might get one or two computers before
    it comes back. I searched the internet for a solution to this and heard
    that if i copy the ConsoleOne directory from the server to my local
    machine it will work. So I did that and yes it did work, however we are
    running a diskless boot system and if I were to copy the directory to
    the local machine it would be gone as soon as I reboot.
    Ive done some random testing and discovered the following
    the console one directory is located on the server in
    /sys/public/mgmt/consoleone/1.2/bin
    i tried copying the console one directory to the root c: and it worked
    fine
    then i tried copying it to my network drive on the server
    /data/home/grastyc/consoleone/1.2/bin and it worked fine
    so based on that i tried mapping a drive to /sys/public/mgmt and tried
    running it from there, didnt work.
    Any help would be much appreciated

  • RCConsole MFC Application encountered a problem

    Sometimes when I use "DESKTOP4.exe" to run a remote control session I
    receive an error message (no err #) stating "RCConsole MFC Application
    has encountered a problem and needs to close." and eventually searching
    through error reports the file ZRMRESLD.dll usually gets mentioned. If I
    retry things may works OK, or work OK and the message displays after I
    close the session, or the message pops-up at the beginning and I have to
    close down the application.I have tried changing between DRISHITI and
    DARPAN modes but this does not seem to make any difference.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. PETER

  • Netware zenworks desktop management 7 RCConsole MFC applicat

    I am using Zen v7. I have found that when I remote into computers, open a DOS window, try to ping an IP, after I type a few characters into the DOS window, an Windows error pops up "RCConsole MFC application problem...." IT disconnects me from the remote control.
    When I try to reconnect, i get a 1805: this app is currently being performed on the target machine and will not be available.
    This seems to only happen on DOS windows and Green screen mainframe applications like WRQ Reflections.
    Anyone have a fix for this. Searching Forums and Google have similar problems but no fixes.
    Thanks

  • Error R6034 in simple MFC Application with OCCI

    Hello everyone,
    I´m new to the whole occi-topic, and have a little problem.
    After about 3 days of try and error and endless searching through forums I finally managed to make my first application with occi to run. It´s a Win32 console application.
    After a little "celebration" I startet to create a MFC application with the same base functions.
    If I compile the project, I get an error "R6034" when the compiler tries to access the file: "msvcp80d.dll". I think it has something to do with the manifests.
    Here is the output.

    Is anyone familiar with this problem an perhaps able to help me?
    I already tried some "workarounds" and played with the manifests, but had no success.

    I assume you have the manifest tool (mt) somewhere on your system - I just open a "Visual Studio Command Prompt" when I have to use with it.
    Something you can try (I'm not certain it will resolve your issue though):
    1. Open a Visual Studio Command Prompt and change directories to %ORACLE_HOME%\OCI\lib\MSVC\vc8
    2. Copy the existing dll files to save them:
    copy oraocci10.dll oraocci10.dll.orig
    copy oraocci10d.dll oraocci10d.dll.orig
    3. Use the mt tool to embed the provided manifest files (you should already have these files in the directory):
    mt -manifest oraocci10.dll.manifest -outputresource:oraocci10.dll;2
    mt -manifest oraocci10d.dll.manifest -outputresource:oraocci10d.dll;2
    NOTE: This is not an Oracle-specific procedure. The manifest tool is used by Visual Studio itself when building projects.
    4. Depending on how you have your system configured, copy the oraocci10(d).dll files to a backup copy as before in whatever directories you have them and then copy the "new" files with the embedded manifest to those locations.
    For example, on my development machine, I have copied the files to %ORACLE_HOME%\bin so that I do not have to include %ORACLE_HOME%\OCI\lib\MSVC\vc8 in my path.
    Let us know if that helps or not!

  • During Palm reinstallation, when reboots get errors, "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142)" and "DeviceMonitor MFC Application has stopped working."

    I'm trying to reinstall the Palm software because synchronization has been failing for the past two months.  It get to the point of synchronizing the calendar and fails with the message that there are too many events.  Hence, nothing in the process after that synchronizes.  I've tried reinstalling the Palm s/w to no avail.  Now I'm trying to uninstall and reinstall the Palm s/w only to be greeted with another error message when the system restarts (as part of the installation process).  The error is, "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142).  Click OK to terminate the application."  When I choose OK, I get the error, "DeviceMonitor MFC Application has stopped working."  Windows does not notify me of a solution.  Any ideas/solutions would be greatly appreciated!

    Anyway, in my opinion there is some software conflict. I can imagine both players use same modules or plug-ins and there is conflict.
    I dont know what solution can be but maybe you should remove both players, restart your notebook and make clean BD player in hope it will works properly.

  • Application error with ResultSet

    Hi everyone,
    I meet a big problem. My ResultSet just can get few data, under 20, otherwise, my program will get application error in the MFC application.
    "The instruction at "0x77f53207" reference memory at "0x000000000". The memory could not be "written".
    The code runs correctly and the error will not happed under DOS mode. However, when I move them to MFC application, the error happen.
    Please give me a help
    Thanks a lot!!!!

    Hi Shanker
    Currently, I am using MultiThreaded run-time library, and oraocci9.lib. If I use /MTd, I can not fetch out the data set. The problem is assertion failure. Expression : _CrtIsVaildHeapPointer.If I use /MT, the application error(memory error) will happen if I reuse the ResultSet later, but I can fetch out all data in the first time.
    void DecryptForm::OnSelect()
         string data;
         CString dataStr;
         CString currTableName;
         CString query;
         currTableName = getTableName();
         query.Format("select column_name from user_tab_columns where table_name = '%s'", currTableName);
         rs = myOracleInfo->search((LPCTSTR) query);
         m_list_attr.ResetContent();
         while(rs->next())
              data = rs->getString(1);
              dataStr = data.c_str();
              m_list_attr.AddString(dataStr);
    Could you give some suggestions?
    Thanks

  • LIN API with C++ in MFC Application

    Hi
    I am using the LIN API library nicanmsc.lib and Nican.h file to work with the MFC application that I am writing in Visual C++ 6.0.
    The problem i am encounter with one the API of Nican.h  called  "ncWrite(NCTYPE_OBJH          ObjHandle,
                               NCTYPE_UINT32        SizeofData,
                               NCTYPE_ANY_P         Data)"
    As this API is used to configure the LIN Interface Slave task to configure or subscribe the data.To do that you have to have frame type is response Entry frame and  one of Data Type called "Is Remote " value equal to 16. Now I am doing exactly same things to achieve configure response entry frame to send data from slave based on the ID from master. As I am able to run this API from my application and its executing correctly and sending correct information that I want to send to Master but the problem I am seeing is that when you execute any of this API it comes with STATUS  back of the execution part went correctly on not based on the value that it returns. In my case eventhough the command looks to me executed correctly as sending the correct data but the STATUS comes with negative value which means it has something wrong in it. I can't figure out the problem in here.
    Let me know if you any body encounter this kind of problem before. I described you the best way i can describe the problem but if any body has more question feel free to ask it.
    Thanks
    Chirayu

    OK attached is the Error code and Message that it will print if we print the status information in String form.Its .jpeg  file.let me know if you have any trouble to open the file.

  • Receive an Application Error (The memory could not be "read") when opening

    After I install Itunes the program works ok until I close it and try to reopen. When I do this I receive an Application Error that says:
    The instruction at "0x6686f183" referenced memory at "0x0fccc094". The memory could not be "read".
    Click OK to terminate the program
    Click CANCEL to debug the program
    Debugging does not work so the only solution is to uninstall Itunes and then reinstall. That again only works for one use of the program. As soon as I close it and re-open, I get the same error. Please HELP. I cannot waste any more time uninstalling and reinstalling.

    Try this: Turn off automatic Microsoft/Windows updates and reboot your computer. I saw this a couple of weeks ago on the forum.

    I see this sort of error notice in Bridge and Photoshop, preceded by the message " Photoshop (or Bridge) has encountered a problem and must close. Tell MS.
    Yes or No."
    It most frequently happens in PS when running Dfine 2.0. I have no clue what triggers the Bridge closure. It happens randomly.
    CS3, so nobody gives a tinkers dam, I suppose.
    I see this kind of message in software testing on a regular basis. Of course, when the test is under way, the software is generating a detailed log file which we package up as part of a bug report. Then at the bug scrubs, lively discussions ensue as to who has to fix what!
    I can only image what would happen if the Dfine people and the PS people had to sit through one of those!

  • **SOLUTION** DLLML.exe Fails to load at startup (application error)

    Hello everyone!
    I purchased the SB X-Fi Fatalty Champion Edition soon after release, and think this is the best card I have ever used to date. Absolutely love it, unbelievable sound.
    Now a year or two ago I noticed a certain file failing to load when I started windows.
    This file, DLLML.exe. To my understanding this file is used to load EAX emulation support into older games/modules (essential loads a "middle-man" file between the game's sound files/.dll's, and the hardware SPU [Sound Processing Unit, not a real acronym, but that's what I call it since GPU and CPU are similar distincti've acronyms so if you see it used anywhere, it came from me ] to allow EAX support in non-EAX enabled games), and/or to add EAX effects in your audio files using the Wave Studio app.
    I've pinpointed this issue to either a Windows Update, or the Creative auto-update (which could mean it is an error caused by an installaion combination of multiple apps at once) because this issue did not arise until I did these two things (did Windows Update, then Creative Auto-Update, then restarted computer).
    Now I've primarily had this issue with Windows XP x64 but I have had this issue at times with Windows XP x86 as well.
    After you install the software suite, it adds an entry in your Windows Startup to load the module (Start/Run. msconfig. Startup tab. Look for STARTUP ITEM: DLLML). The entry looks like this:
    WinXPx86 looks like: "C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem * -Startup
    WinXPx64 looks like: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem * -Startup
    Under most circumstances this module loads fine, but because Creative, for reasons why I have not delved into, loads some of their DLL files differently than the Windows standard, which may also be a cause of this issue (extremely unlikely, I believe it is one of the 2 things i mentioned above).
    Either way, after I did those 2 things, the DLLML.exe startup entry failed to load every time.
    But I fixed it.
    Now what you have to do to resolve this issue, involves editing the startup entry in the Windows Registry.
    If you are scared to go into it, have no idea what I am talking about, or never edited the Registry before, don't worry. If you follow these steps EXACTLY, you have nothing to fear.
    I will be using default installation parameters for file pathing, so if your Operating System is installed in a different dri've letter other than C:\, then just change the letter to the one your OS is installed onto.
    Capitals used for emphesis on actions to take:
    -Hit the START button, then select RUN
    --------If RUN is not in your start menu, you need to enable it by right-clicking and open area of your TASKBAR, select PROPERTIES. --------Click the START MENU tab, then the CUSTOMIZE button. Click the ADVANCED tab. In the START MENU ITEMS box, scroll down to the entry that says SHOW RUN. Check the checkbox to fill it. Then OK/APPLY/OK, and you should be back to the desktop. Then go to START/RUN
    -type the word REGEDIT
    --------This opens the Windows Registry.
    --------DO NOT change ANYTHING in this other than the exact directions I specify or you may corrupt your registry or even worse, corrupt your system, which means F&R time (Format & Reinstall). Treat it like a stripper. You can look all you want but don't touch or there could be dire consequences.
    --------Now the fastest way to find this is to manually navigate to the specific "key" or "entry" you need to modify. Mouse-click the +'s to navitage further into the "hi've" following these maps:
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x86 USERS NAVIGATE TO: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x64 USERS NAVITAGE TO: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432\Microsoft\Wind ows\CurrentVersion\Run
    --------Now you are looking for a specific entry NAME called RCSYSTEM. Depending on which version you are running. They are:
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x86 USERS: "C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem * -Startup
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x64 USERS: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem * -Startup
    -------Now we are going to edit the entry. What we need to do is get rid of that * (asterix) character in the name. I don't know why it is there, I'm thinking it may be a coding error. But in my WinXPx64, this was the culprit.
    -Double-click the RCSYSTEM key to edit it, and edit it so it looks EXACTLY LIKE THIS (If you're paranoid about doing something bad, COPY and PASTE this line pertaining to your installed OS. KEEP IN MIND THE INSTALLATION DRIVE LETTER, CHANGE FIRST LETTER IF NESCESSARY)
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x86 USERS: "C:\Program Files\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem -Startup
    -FOR WINDOWS XP x64 USERS: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\Shared Files\Module Loader\DLLML.exe" RCSystem -Startup
    -click OK button. Now it is changed.
    -------And we're DONE EDITING the Registry entry!
    -now go to FILE in the top-left menu, then select EXIT
    -RESTART your computer
    -------You should not receive the "DLLML.exe failed to load" (application error) again!!
    To check to see if it loaded into your system properly (as if not getting the error message anymore was proof enough it loaded properly), when you reboot back to the desktop, do the "three-fingered salute" (ctrl-alt-delete), then select the PROCESSES tab. Click on the IMAGE NAME heading to sort it alphabetically, and look for the name (WinXPx86) DLLML.exe or (WinXPx64) DLLML.exe *32.
    If you see it listed, it loaded!! CONGRATS, IT BE FIXED!!
    If this did not work for you, then your system is posessed, get a priest. I don't think a witchdoctor would give your comp good vibes O_o
    Hope this resolved it for you. Enjoy your EAX with Duke Nukem 3d again!
    EDIT: As a side note, I also noticed that since after this fix, my computer doesn't hang after sending the restart/shutdown killsignal, so I am wondering with people having similar hanging issues, if their issue could be resolved something similar to this.
    Just a thought for any admins/mods/users out there that know what they are doing that maybe wanna test that out.
    Sincerely,

    G Kudos for a brilliant finding! After a Windows Hotfix on my XP SP3, when shutting down my PC I would wait for a program and then get an error that EAX was not responding before finally shutting down. On next reboot I lost sound on my PC. After running tests, the Direct Sound test failed pointing at EAX.
    This solution cured the problem. Again, kudos, job really well done!!!
