RD across 2 monitors?

Hi all,
I'm using a Dual 1GHz Power Mac G4 with 768MB RAM, a 9800 Pro and two monitors. All the Macs are running 10.4.3 and ARD 2.2. The Client computer is running a single monitor.
I was wondering if it's possible to observe/control the Client's workstation in full screen on one of the monitors whilst doing my other business on the other monitor. So far I haven't been able to get it into "true" full screen (where there is not the brushed metal window around it) and run both monitors - it blacks the secondary one out and focuses on the main one.
Is this because I'm running two monitors but the client isn't?
Any tips are appreciated and thanks in advance,

Stop Bridge from Auto Expanding Across Monitors

This has been happening for a while, but my bridge usually lives on my right screen but it will sometimes automatically span across both of my monitors when I do an action like create a new folder and then it blows up all the thumbnails so their huge. It's becoming annoying and if anyone knows how to stop this from happening I would greatly appreciate it. My machine is running windows 7 and no other app does this, only bridge.

You may find that it's not a 'Bridge' thing. I presume you are on a Mac... and have the lastest OS?
When you do a hard shut down and then restart, any apps that were open will re-open.
Also if you quit a program with something open. Quitting and restarting the program automatically opens what was previously open.
I find that I have gotten into the habit of closing before quitting... quite annoying.
I hope I didn't go off topic too much...

Adobe Air Fullscreen Across Monitors

Hi,
Is it possible to have adobe air in flex to run in fullscreen and span across 2 monitors? Because currently I have a project need adobe air to run in fullscreen on 2 monitors. One display some flash animation, and the other one display video playback. Is it possible to do so?

Lines Going Across Monitor of iMac?

I bought my iMac 3 Years Ago - iMac (24-inch Early 2008) - but within the last year I have begum to notice "lines" or "tears" going horizontally across parts of the screen. They show the colour of the screen, but can still be seen. They are seen most easily on Colours.
I've Attached some pictures, with a green box showing the lines.
Obviously my computer is way out of warenty (i didnt get Applecare) - is it worth going to an Apple Store and Asking about this? It is simply a Display fault or can it be fixed another way? I've had to have a few hardrives replaced in my machine by apple so They might give a free repair due to the previous history of the machine needing repairs.
Any Suggestions?

In the US, Apple computers are guaranteed for one year -- Applecare adds additional 2 years plus free telephone support.
I would assume the warranty in the UK would be equivalent or better.

Remove the "stop" when moving cursor across monitors |BUILD 9860

I run a setup of 2 monitors. 1920 x 1080, and one 1440 x 900. When I try to move the cursor over from one monitor to the other it "stops" until i drag faster. Extremely annoying, is there any way to turn this off, or is it a bug?
Maybe I could keep it if it wasnt so hard to move the mouse over the screens, but this is terrible .. I cant use windows like this.
Also, its hard to find all the settings for the mouse, like the cursor acceleration etc.

It's the same in Windows 8.
I too have 2 monitors at work with Windows 10 and 2 monitors at home with Windows 8.1
On Windows 8 there is Charm panel at the right edge of the screen and Modern UI apps preview switcher at the left edge of the screen.
On Windows 10 they are disabled in Taskbar and Start Menu Properties, but it seems that traces of screen corner and edge navigation still remain.

Green/red pixels across monitors, then screen freezes

any ideas?
pc (OptiPlex 420) starts up fine then double monitors break out in pixel measles and pc becomes unusable. Only solution is to hard stop the pc as keyboard/mouse die.
Restart creates same cycle again. I'm a luddite, so if any brain boxes out there can advise (and thanks in advance if you do :)

Colour profiles within PS are off for one monitor only?

I'm having a very strange issue with colour management in Photoshop CS2 currently.
Photoshop seems to be calibrating all documents in a strange way on only *one* monitor. If I drag the file across to the other monitor the colour is completely different.
Of course it sounds like my monitors being off, however when dragging the file across monitors Photoshop slowly updates the colours for the next monitor. You can see it display the wrong colour at first, then correct it (hopefully that makes sense).
Another symptom of it is when I go to 'save for web'. Here, the colours revert to what I believe are correct.
b It's worth noting that this has only started to happen since some Windows updates. One being an option update from Dell for my monitor - I can't seem to find any information about it though!
My tester that I've been using is a plain white to black gradient. What I'm seeing is a lot of cyan in the middle of the gradient. I've saved off an example:

As you can see, all the greys are very green, but if you look at the gradient tool in the toolbar itself, the grey appears fine.
I'm unsure how I can adjust the colour profile from Photoshop for one monitor - am I missing something really obvious here?
Just to note: I'm on Win Xp SP2, Photoshop CS2, and I've cleared the preferences.

Since you only mention Photoshop as having a problem, this is almost
certainly, as you suspect, a monitor profile config problem.
Color profiles for individual monitors are configured in
Start>Settings>Control Panel>Display>Settings>(Advanced Button)>Color
Management.
In Settings, click on the monitor whose profile you want to verify before
clicking on the "Advanced..." button. I would start by adding and
defaulting the profile for the monitor that is causing problems.
The Microsoft XP color control panel applet makes setup easier, though it
is not really necessary. If the link below fails, google for keywords

Why is my bookmark properties dialog so large on a dual monitor machine?

I am not sure if this is related to having dual monitors or not, but on my machine, when I open the properties dialog for a bookmark, it spans across monitors and the dialog is huge.
How do I shrink this back down to the original size?

Software to drive multilple monitors

Can someone recommend a software app that will allow me to drive 4 or 6 monitors? Content might be unique on each monitor or be stretched across monitors. It might show video on one and pictures on others. etc.

Wide vertical colored stripes on monitor

G4-mirrored door with mac monitor. I turned it on this morning and after one minute started to get wide vertical lines across monitor. I shutdown, unplugged G4, plugged back in, restarted, and issue still there. Anyone know about problems like these? I will try to get graphic card info but it's hard to see anything on the monitor.

Plug in a different monitor. If the problem doesn't go away its the video card.
Plug in a different video card. PCI or AGP.
Borrow one for a few days.
Check your connections for loose...

1 OSX Lion Mission Control vs Snow Leopard Expose can't we combine the two (by leaving older Expose options inside) and get Apple back to leaping forward again?

So I am a web/software developer and I am having major beef with OSX Lion's Mission Control. While I think Mission Control and Application Windows are interesting additions to the multi-tasking nature and scheme of the OS, removing the older Expose Spaces and All Windows is a huge mistake. Couldn't Apple have just left all of the old stuff in? Then the system would be complete. As pretty as Mission Control and Application Windows is, the older Snow Leopard Spaces and Expose moved much faster and tamed all of my apps in a very efficient way.
Here is why Mission Control is not as fast as Spaces and Expose:....
1. With Spaces all of the desktops and their connected monitors were consolidated to one monitor in which you can easily see everything going on from a birds eye view. You cloud easily drag open windows between them freely and even swap spaces. This was huge because you could see everything. You could even activate All Windows over Spaces and see everything..Mission Control will group everything but you can't move programs across desktops unless it's the main desktop to the little desktop. Nor can you move windows across monitors. This is frustrating. Also the desktop are split to their respective monitor so I no longer have a birds-eye key-map access.
2. All Windows is so necessary and slick. Mission Control or Application Windows can't quite keep up. If I have a cluttered desktop and hit all windows, I can get any window at any time no matter how buried it is. Application Windows is useful but only applies to the focused application…but what if it's buried? I have to activate mission control first, select one of the windows from the program group, then activate Application Windows to get to that window. Also if there are many windows open for an application, Mission Control cannot replace All Windows because they stack and you can't quite tell which of the windows you want is accessible in that stack.
The bottom line is, put both of them together! Keep the old functionality as an option, because truth be told, the old way of doing things is still considerably faster under heavy work loads. I would use the Snow Leopard expose features more often. There is still room for Application Windows and Mission Control, but even after re-training myself I feel I'm moving at 70% of the multitasking speed that I used to move at before using Snow Leopard Expose. I mean this legitimately, I develop using multiple OS's along with video chat and instead of being a leap forward, Lion is a step backward and that just isn't like apple, everything Apple has done has been leaps and bounds forward. Let's leap forward and not only have all the sweet new features that Lion offers, but combine with the productive features that really moved and maybe just integrate into Lion's style. Bottle that and you have something sweeter than Yoohoo.

I completely agree with airbnboy. I used to be able to quick organised different windows within the same app to different spaces (now "desktops" for no apparent reason). This worked very smoothly in expose/spaces. I'd use one gesture to get to spaces, then another for expose, and I'd have all my windows in all spaces visible.
Now, I can't even see all of my windows in specific to one desktop! The best I can do is double scroll to see *some parts* of the windows on a desktop. So now, selecting a window for a specifc app is huge pain.
Worse than this, on moving windows from a desktop to another in, Mission Control will change the ordering of the stacks (per app, not the windows in the stacks). Umm, what is the possible benefit there?
So, now there is no use of spatial memory - e.g. Window X for App Y was in the top left of all my windows in the top left space, and I want to move it now. It's no longer possible to see all app windows in a specific "desktop", and much more effort is required to move windows around.
Great, well done Apple. Can we please, please have Expose and Spaces back as an option? Or at the very least, some way to view all windows for a specifc app on a specific desktop - and by "view", I mean see the whole window, not just a tiny indicator of the window, or a slightly expanded stack that may not give enough context.
The only reason I "upgraded" to Lion was to get XCode 4.2.

CSS code works in dreamweaver but not in browsers

I've scaled this code down to the very basics in attempts to find where my error is and I can not figure out what is going wrong here. The code works fine in the dreamweaver CS5 preview, but will not display in browsers properly.
My first 2 classes are working fine, but my 3rd will not work in the browsers. I have posted this page here http://www.vaporapparel.com/color.html
The class for the beginning paragraph works fine, the class for the headers works fine, but my 3rd class for the sub-text does not take effect outside of dreamweaver preview. Lightroom and second display

Hi, I'm sure its been asked many times before, but is light room capable of using dual display on a mac? if so, how?

Not directly, although some users report success splitting the application across monitors so that the right pane containing the develop controls is on the secondary monitor.

M92p DisplayPort to dual Displayport adapter not working

I have purchased several M92p tiny computers and had great success with them. however, we are wanting to start hooking up 4 monitors as advertised using the “Displayport to Dual Displayport adapters” to connect two identical monitors to a single displayport on the PC. When we hook up this adapter neither monitor connect. The status lights on the adapter for each displayport just blinks green (I assume they should be solid green lights). Does anyone have any idea what is going on with these adapters or can locate any technical documenation for them. I have verified the displayports on the computers work by connecting monitors directly to them, I have tried several different display driver options since the device doesnt have any drivers, and different types of monitors. I have called lenovo support and they say everything is working as designed… ( yet nothing displays… at all…) Any suggestions or help is greatly appricated.

You would have to set up the machines as dual Monitors. It would depend on the machines and the OS on exactly how to do that. You may want to Google to find description of how to proceed. Once done, Photoshop will span across monitors.
