RD Web Access SSO not working correctly

I have two Win 2008 r2 sp1 servers.  Both are RD Session host servers.  One of them is also serving as a RD Gateway server AND RD Web access server.  Most everything is working well and as planned.  However, I am having an issue with
the the RD Web Access.
In the RD Web access server configuration page, I've set "One or more RemoteApp sources" and I've added two servers there, separated by a semicolon (eg RDServer1;RDServer2), and as expected a long list of RemoteApps hosted on both servers is shown .  The
issue is that whatever server is listed second (eg RDServer2) won't allow sso to work right  -- when I click a link for a RemoteApp hosted on RDServer1 I am not prompted again for login credentials.  However, when clicking a link for a RemoteApp
hosted on RDServer2 I am prompted "Enter Your Credentials".  I've tried swapping the order of the "Source Name" servers, and after a reboot indeed links to the RemoteApps hosted on that second server now prompt for me to "Enter your credentials".
Things I've tried:
1. Trying various server name formats (IP address, NetBIOS name, FQDN, and more) to no apparent effect.
2. Applied the hotfix from KB2524668 to both servers.
3. Flushed the IE caches for the client machines.
4.  Tried various AD login accounts
5. Ensuring that the RD Web Access server is added to the local group "TS Web Access Computers" on both servers.
This is one step that I'm not 100% sure of -- it is clear to me that the RD Session host server that doesn't contain RD Web access should be there, but I'm not totally clear as to whether the dual-duty RD Web server/RD Session host should have this setting.
I've tried it both ways, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
I'm stumped.

Kevin,
That's it!  I have a separate SSL cert for each RD Session Host, and used the corresponding certs to sign RemoteApps for each.  I still don't see this requirement in the documentation (although they do mention exporting self-signed certs, but that
is due to the fact that they are self-signed and not automatically trusted by client machines), but maybe I'm just blind.
Regardless, the fix to my problem was to export the cert from my RDServer1, import it to RDServer2, then set RDServer2 to use that cert to sign the RemoteApp connections.
Thanks for your assistance, I was really stuck.

  • Access point not work correctly

Hello everybody, I have a problem in my BlackBerry Passport. I can't turn on "access point" function, this function not work. Does this function work in the future OS updates?
P.S access point give your internet from the mobile network to your WiFi

Hotspot does work on all versions of BlackBerry 10 OS and all BB10 models. It is, however, controlled by your carrier. If it won't turn on you have one of several possible problems:
    1) Your mobile data is off or not working.
    2) You need to have Hotspot provisioned on your account by your carrier.

  • Ip phone web access does not working

    hello, everybody!
    need assistance.
I have CUCM 9.1 with demo licences.
    I have some phones - 7911 and 6921 - registered.
I have enabled Web Access feature on all phones.
    but don't have web access.
    any suggestions?

    Hi Sergey,
I overlooked it  when webaccess is enabled I see <webAccess>0</webAccess> when it is disabled><webAccess>1</webAccess>. So for your case webaccess = 0 is good, that means it's enabled.
Can you ensure you have right device pack installed which is compatible with your phone firmware.

  • SSO not working correctly

    Hello guys,
I have a SAP EP 6.0 SP9, a standalone SAP SRM 4.0 and a standalone SAP ITS 6.20 between them.
I have created a System for Single Sign-On with SRM, using LOGONTICKETS. When I test the System connection for ITS and the associated connector, it works fine for both cases.
Inside EP, when I go to System Administration > Support and select the option to test some transactions agains SRM, I get an interesting scenario. For the test not using ITS (SAP GUI for Windows), the test works fine, since I get the transaction without being requested to enter user ID and PWD again. However, if I select SAP GUI for HTML (which uses ITS), I get the ITS login screen and only after I enter the user ID and PWD, I am able to see the transaction. This is wrong, because I want Single Sign-On.
I have checked the file GLOBAL.SRVC in the ITS box and the parameter for SSO is there:
    ~appserver     XXX.XXX.XX.XX
    ~client
    ~clientcert     1
    ~cookies     1

I believe the issue is in ITS, since I could SSO using SAP GUI for Windows. Could you help me to understand that, please?
    Thanks in advance
    Fernando Urzedo

    Hello Venkat,
Thanks again for the quick reply.
Well, within my System object, I have already set up two properties (Session Cookie Name and Session URL Name) to MYSAPSSO2.
Regarding the domains, we do not have it right now. The Portal, SRM and ITS servers are all on the same network subnet and we have simulated a domain by created aliases in the hosts files. Do you think it is going to work for SSO?

  • Remote Access Media Not Working correctly

I just installed the newly released Media Plugin for Essentials Server 2012 R2. I was really hoping this would solve the problems I had with first version of Essentials 2012. The media worked fine on Windows Home Server 2011, but I've never been able to
access the folders successfully since installing the new version last year.
I get the above error when I try and access my pictures folder and an empty video folder. This was the same error I had in the previous version. There are raw formatted pictures in this folder that I'm just archiving, but I'm not sure if that would cause
    the issue or not.
This is the error I receive when I try to access my Music. I only put in four folders with music and I can see the folders if I access them via the shared folders interface, but I was hoping to stream the music and not download the files. I then simply put
some mp3 files in the folder, but those were not seen either.
I know others had issues with the last version and at one time the "marked answer" was weird files in the folders, but no clarification was given. Are there any ideas out there on how to set this up properly? I'd really love to have this feature
work. It's probably the feature I miss most from Windows Home Server 2011.

I didn't notice any errors in the log. I will post it below. I restarted the service and it is running.
I'd love to get this working:

  • ADFS SSO not working correctly on 'old' portal, but works fine on preview portal

We recently configured an AADSYNC and ADFS 'connection' between Azure and our on-premise environment.
When i log into the preview portal everything works fine, I'm being redirected to our ADFS proxy server and I get authenticated and logged into the portal.
However, when i try to login to the 'old' portal (manage.windowsazure.com), after entering my username i get redirected to a forms based webpage of our ADFS environment. When i enter my credentials there i get logged in to the portal so, however I houldn't
be getting a web based login page.
I am ofcourse trying this from the internal netwerk, the address of our ADFS server is being resolved to the ip address of the internal ADFS server (otherwise logging into the preview portal should also display the web based login page).
When i go to portal.office.com ADFS is also working fine, no web based login page is being displayed, so it's really just the manage.windowsazure.com portal thats acting strange.
(I'm trying all this from the same computer, in the same netwerk environment roughly at the same time, and this also happens on other systems and with other users).
    Any ideas?

I'm having the exact same issue.  If you look at the AD FS server, you'll see a 164 event logged when you try to log in to the old portal.  Something to the effect of:
    Relying Party:
    urn:federation:MicrosoftOnline
    Exception details:
Microsoft.IdentityServer.Service.Policy.PolicyServer.Engine.InvalidAuthenticationTypePolicyException: MSIS7102: Requested Authentication Method is not supported on the STS
I have a case opened with Microsoft, awaiting a call back.  This just started, and I don't understand AD FS enough yet to know what to change, or if I should.

  • Access Services Not Working Correctly

I have deployed Access Services and kept to the correct steps accurately according to the Microsoft whitepaper on deploying it.
When I create a new Access app, this is the way it looks in a browser when I go into it:
As you can see, it looks quite terrible. If anyone can please help me with where to start, I would appreciate it. I did go through the white paper and make sure I followed all the steps.

I went to the app permissions and clicked the option to repair permissions if they seem to be broken, this seems to have corrected the CSS issue.
The other issue I am having is that from anywhere outside the network (and over the VPN) where the VM's are located, you cannot see any data in the Access 2013 Client.

did you find the cause of this problem? I have the same symptoms.

  • RD Web access SSO - remote desktop doesn't work

    Hi,
This is my first post in here, and I hope you gays can help me out.
I am currently experiencing some issues with RD Web SSO not working as I would like it to work.  I have found countless articles and guides describing how to get it to work, but no guide have yet helped me.
The problem is that when I log in on the web access and open a published application everything works fine I wait 5 sec and the application pups up, but when I try to open "Remote Desktop" then I get a new log in box where I must enter my log in credentials
again (after entering my credentials everything work great.)
The problems I am currently facing is produced in a demo environment configured as follows:
1x DC server (DC01) also the lic server
    2x RDS server (RDS01/02)
    1x RDS Connection broker (RDCM01)   I have created a farm named "farm01.mydomain.com"
1x RDS Web access server (RDWA01)
    1x RDS Gateway (RDSGW01)
(All the Servers are installed with Windows server 2008 (R2) SP1, and have the latest update.)
I am publishing my demo environment on the internet, i have created a domain name for my gateway and my web access and they are both accessible from the web (rdwa.mydomain.com and rdsgw.mydomaim,com). I also have secured everything with an SSL wildcard certificate
( my external and intern domain names are the same so I am using one SSl certificate) that is trusted on the web.
when I  log in on the web access server trough (IE9 or IE8 ) from another network(wan) and I open a published application (calculator), it pop ups in just a few seconds. But when I try to open my Remote desktop I get a login box where I must enter my
username and password one more time.. after that remote desktop opens and everything works great.
My laptop is a Windows 7 professional with RDP 7 and IE 9, and is not member of a domain (just a workstation), I have tested it from multiple workstations and networks(Also win 7 and RDP7) but even there I have the same problem.
Thinks that I have tried tell now:
I have created a kerberos account as mentioned on
    MSDN
I have checked my group permissions as mentioned
    here
And many more blogs and forums
I have tried multiple settings on RDCM, RDWA, RDSGW and RDS server
Right now I am out of ideas, and I hope you gays can help me out..
    thanks in advance,
    Pouyan

    Thnx for you advise,
Did you go into your RemoteApp Deployment settings and change the server name to the farm name "farm01.mydomain.com?"
    Yes
Also in the Session Broker's RemoteApp and Desktop Connection Properties window change the Connection ID to the farm name as well.
actually I couldn't find out what to put on the connection ID so I had left it just default, but after changing it to the farm name it still doesn't work
Did you sign you apps with the cert used on your RDS servers?
yes, I am using a wildcard ssl certificate to sign all the servers/apps with.
    there is
    something that
strikes me, when I log on the web access and click on a published application (that is hosted from the same RDS servers) then I get a information box. when I click on the "details" button I see on the bottom "use the following credentials to connect" and my
domain and username are published there. But when I click on the "Remote desktop" icon and do the same I can't see this information!!
Also I don't think that its an SSL problem, because after log in again it works perfect without any warning.

Just thought I'd let you know.  Our suspicions were correct, it was the OS. After I installed Snow Leopard (10.6.8) all the problems were corrected.  I also updated the RAM from 1 gb to 6 gb. The mac is working all around better. Sorry it took so long to get back to everyone. My superdrive had pooped out. Rather than replace it I got an external drive from OWC connected with firewire 800.  So far everything is running very well, as far as I can tell this external drive is better than the original superdrive. My superdrive has always acted funny, infact I returned the first mac I got after a week because its superdrive was also malfunctioning. Anyway, all that to say everything seems to be fully functioning again.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

    Try some basic troubleshooting:
    (A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    (B) Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
    (C) Setup as new (data will be lost if you do not have backup)
    Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

  • 12002 The Reporting Web Service is not working.

    Hi :)
I have WSUS on Windows Server 2012 std. with Internal Database. Today I've installed 7 updates from patch tuesday and after restart I've got
error 12002 The Reporting Web Service is not working
I can see now that updatet clients can not report their status anymore :(
    What's up ? Any suggestion ?
    Best regards
    Nenad

    Hi,
I would start by verifying that the /ReportingWebService resource is properly configured in IIS.
Correct configurations can be found in the WSUS Technical Reference Guide: IIS
Settings for WSUS 3.0 SP2 Web Services.
    Also,Under ReportingWebService
Made sure all were set to disabled except for Anonymous Authentication
    Anonymous Authentication Enabled
    ASP .NET Impersonation Disabled
    Basic Authentication Disabled
    Forms Authentication Disabled
    Windows Authentication Disabled
    Regards,
    Clarence
