RDF report layout output has changed in R12

Hello experts,
I am currently helping a client with R12 upgrade process. One of the things I noticed is that the RDF report pagelayout formatting has changed a little bit. Such as the header of a column has been left justified in R12 when in 11i it is centered. Also it seems like the font size may have been changed in R12. In 11i, one of the column headers shows 2 rows
Extended
Cost
And in R12 it only shows Extended and the 2nd row is missing.
Has anyone encountered this before?

Is this a seeded or custom report?
Does the same happen for all reports of the same type or just this specific one?

RDF Report Layout Issue ?

I'm trying to print invoices using RDF reports builder.
I have a layout created, but when I print 2 or more invoices they append one below the other consecutively. What I want is each new invoice should be printed on new page.
Please help to understand if I need to set some particular property of the parent frame or something else needs to be done.

So far I have understood how to set Maximum Records per Page property to 1 and use page break, but still unable to split new invoices on new page.
Now I need to help to understand where exactly I should set these properties, is it the outer most repeating frame or somewhere else ????

Computers connecting to internet via time capsule are reporting no internet connectivity. PC is reporting default gateway has changed. How to I correct this?

Am having trouble with maintaining a stable wireless network via the Time Capsule. Am running 1 Mac and 3 PC on a Time Capsule wireless in bridge mode connected to a Verizon wireless router. Verizon wireless is turned off and the Time Capsule seems to be staying connected to the Verizon router. When any of the connected computerss goes to stanby, they often report the internet is no longer available. The PCs say the default gateway has changed ans the Mac simply reports the network parameters have changed. What do I need to do to the Time Capsule to stabilize the wireless network?

It is unlikely that the gateway changes.. but anything is possible.. sorry I am not in the US.. is your service adsl or cable?? What sort of lease time does the public IP have? Some cable companies now rotate then on the hour I noticed.. others on about 3months.. but most it is one day.
Track it yourself.. see what gateway address the TC gets and if it is rotating with the IP.
If your client computers are running Mountain Lion.. the plain fact is, they are not particularly stable.
Wireless is worst.. ethernet tends to be ok.. but for instance Laptops updated to Mountain Lion can be pretty flakey.. with the TC.. and it is the combo that is more the issue. People report improvement with clean install of ML. BUT there is still a bug there that causes the ML to be less than fantastic.
I experience it occasionally even with a dlink wireless router.. after a wake from sleep.. the network will drop out and need to be manually connected back.. I have to admit I expect no better from Mountain Lion. I could load Snow Leopard on it and it would drop once every blue moon.. but I got the laptop with ML so I live with it.. !!

Report Layout to be changed in webi document

Hi,
I have a webi documnet on top of BW query.
The data is for the employee promotion details, The data is fetched like below:-
EmpID     Name       Promotion Date
01           ABC        01/01/2011
02           DEF         02/01/2011
03           GHI         03/01/2011
03           GHI         05/01/2011
But i want to show in the following order in report
EmpID     Name       Promotion Date    Promotion Date2
01           ABC        01/01/2011
02           DEF         02/01/2011
03           GHI         03/01/2011            05/01/2011
Please help on how this can be achieved in WebI ?

I understand what you are saying.
Leave this first date column as it is but create a third column to the left of the first date column. And put a MIN(promotion date) formula on this. Now your new column will pull a single date for the combination of the 03 GHI. We still need the original promotion date column for our promotion date2 column to work correctly. but we dont have to show it. so adjust the format of this column (white on white) so that its hidden.

Report Layout width(Report based on SQL Query)

Is there any way to increase the width of the report layout? I have removed as many columns as I can and dropped the font size down but the data in the columns is still wrapping to more than one line. How can I increase the report layout width, or change the layout to landscape or something similar.

I had this problem with wrapping text. You have to create a Reports From SQL Query and choose a custom layout. Then when you go the the HTML layout section, you will need to ad nowrap to the <TD> tag (i.e. <TD nowrap>) for each field you do not want to wrap.

I have 'zaap01' executable program. once provided the materil,plant, batch. the out put directly has to print(Via Printer) as well as when I'm getting alv grid.. can u help me how to proceed.

Users can print the ALV output on a printer or they can view the printout on the screen. You are able to change the look of these printouts by making various settings in the list-type ALV outputs using the ALV object model.
You can make the following settings for the printout of the ALV output:

· Determine that the ALV be called in print mode
· Take actual list size into consideration during printing

You can use the application to determine how wide the list should be in the printout. If the width of the ALV output has changed (for example because the user is showing columns), it can be that the page is not big enough to show all the information. Oracle rdf reports - MLS R12

Hi,
I am working on Oracle EBS R12 which has full MLS installed. I have a custom rdf report and I have a base rtf in US-English and generated a French version using the "Translatable" option using xlif file.
Post installation of full MLS, I see that a separate language directory is created under each prodcut top. So now I see /report/US and reports/F. My question is, should I place my custom .rdf file in both US and F directories or placing in just US directory alone is sufficient?

When you install Oracle E-Business Suite in a language other than American English, each product tree includes directories that use the relevant NLS language code. These directories hold translated data, forms, and message files. For example, the language directory named D designates German. The data loader files in the D subdirectory of the admin directory contain the German translation of the product seed data.
The US subdirectory in the forms directory contains Oracle Forms forms in American English. The D directory in the forms directory contains the same forms, translated into German. However, the mesg directory contains message files in both American English and German.

Hi guys,
I`m getting the below mentioned error message when I attempted to "Enter Plan Data" on my Layout
" The environment has changed; the layout can no longer be executed "
All I did was to create a Variable in Planning Area and then made adjustments to my Data Column in my Planning Function to include the Variable.
Please advice soonest possible

I created a variable CURRMTH on Characteristic Fiscal Year/Period in my PLANNING AREA.
This variable CURRMTH has the following properties
Text Replacement : Medium text
Replacement Type : Fixed Value
Selection : Fiscal Year/Period is set to 001.2005
Now, I created a Layout
Fiscal Year Period in Data Column and Key Figure in Lead Column.
In my Layout: Data Column tab , I put the following
Heading : CURRMTH
Key Figure : NEWLISTKF
Variable
Fiscal Year/Period: CURRMTH
Do you forsee any inconsistencies here ?
One more question, do I also have to set my Planning Level / Package to have characteristic Fiscal Year/Period to Variable ?

The "Photos" view has been replaced by the Media Browser.
Most applications will show you the Photos icon in the Sidebar, when you need to select photos in a file chooser dialoge. Mail, Safari, the iWork apps. See Terence Devlin's User Tip: How to Access Files in iPhoto
For example, in the File > Open dialogue in Preview I am seeing this in the sidebar.

How to print message in oracle rdf report output?

There is a requirement to print message in output of oracle rdf report. srw.message prints the message in log file but how to print message in output.

Report Layout Changed After Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6

Dear Gurus,
I do functional test of every process in ECC6 after upgrade from 4.6C. I found all report layout changed without variant (it's happen to all Query/SQ01 reports ). So I've to assign manually the fields for the reports, and create a default variant then.
Why it happen ? Is there configuration or setting missed or this is standard while we do upgrade ?

RDF Report Output Got Displayed in Special Chars

RDF report output is getting displayed in special chars.
when i query the data from SQL Developer, the data is displayed fine.
But when the data is displayed in the report the characters(single quotes, double quotes) are not displayed properly, they are displayed in a special char.
why it is happening so . Is it related any font missing ? Plz do let me know.

(single quotes, double quotes) These are probably not really single and double quotes. Check the ASCII value.

Oracle report-how to change report layout to landscape?

I am using Oracle report 6i. I want to change the report layout to Landscape. I had tried to go to 'page setup' and changed to 'landscape', but when I print, I still got portait layout.

Hi,
Easiest method for changing your reports orientation to Landscape is
Go to object navigator->System parameters->Orientation.
Set value of this system parameter as Landscape. Thats all. You also can set this property using srw. features at runtime.

Go to edit dashboard ->Next to add a page icon, you see a print option..if you change it to landscape then you can print it in landscape view..
