RDP listening port needs to be changed on one client PC - can't connect via Anywhere Access

We have a setup with Server 2012 Essentials and 10 workstations. We have setup Anywhere Access and is working fine. We have one system (Windows 7 Pro) on the network running AADS Server (use to be called XP Unlimited). This allows several users to logon
to that PC remotely at once as well as someone local using it. This PC needs to be changed from the default 3389 port due to the new AADS Server version requiring it. When ever we change the listening port we cannot remote desktop into this PC. It is available
in Remote Web Access Portal but just sits trying to connect. We have allowed the new connection in the Windows Firewall and even turned the firewall off as a test with no luck.
My question is, can we change the default 3389 port connection that the Server redirects you to for one PC on the network? If not how do you change in the Server to look at another local port for RDP once in the portal?
Thanks, Jason

Hi Jboy,
Can you navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, Terminal Server, WinStations and RDP-Tcp.  Right click on the PortNumber dword and select Modify.  Change the base to Decimal and enter a new port between 1025 and 65535
that is not already in use. Finally click OK.

my ipod tells me my apple id password is wrong even though I just changed the password. I can log on via my desktop, but the ipod continues to tell me that the password is incorrect, so I can't update any apps. when I continue to to try to enter the correct password in it finally freezes the account, and I have to go online via my desktop to fix that problem. I have two apple id's because when my ipod crashed I had to reset it completely. I have never had any problems with this before, and it has been a year since I got my second id, which is linked to the ipod. My first id is used for the cloud on the same device. My wife suggested I reset documentson the cloud for the second id, however, when I try to log on the cloud with my current id, it tells me I have to set up the cloud on that device, but it is already done, but with the old id.
confusing I know. I have been on the 'change your password merry-go-round' all day, and I'm getting dizzy! Help!

  • Changes in one client

    Hi,
Could you please correct me if I'm wrong.
we did the changes in one client let us say 100 client in r/3 then if these changes has to reflect into remaining clients. After transporting the request only these changes are going to be reflected into remaining clients correct?

    Hi Harsha,
Suppose client 100 is ur customizing client. And 200 is your data client.
Now you activated the datasource in 100 client. It will ask you for a customizing request.
    Create a request for this.
Now go to client 200 transaction SCC1. Give the request number and execute.
This will copy the customized changes from Client 100 to 200.

  • What TCP/UDP ports need to be open for VPN Client version 4.8?

What TCP/UDP ports need to be open for Cisco VPN Client version 4.8 to work?
    Thanks,

Normally, you need the following ports and protocol :
    UDP 500
    UDP 4500
    ESP
In case, you are using IPSec over TCP you have to open, TCP port 10000 or any other port you want to use for IPSec connections (Its configurable).

  • Need to use DSL vs. Airport but can't connect

I could not find the answer to this, and I'm sure it's probably an easy fix, but I have tried to connect via my DSL router -- instead of my airport and it won't connect. Large downloads (like movies) can take a while, and HD movies are not smooth-playing, so I wanted to use a direct connection to my DSL router instead of my WiFi/Airport. I disconnected the ethernet cable from my router and put it in my laptop (MacBook Pro 10.6.3), no connection. There is a connection called ethernet in my config). I'm not sure how to set it up otherwise (DHCP??) (think I had help last time) but my overriding question is, shouldn't I be able to go back and forth? I plugged in the ethernet cable and rebooted the laptop, thinking it would automatically recognize it, but it didn't. I didn't see anything else that needed to be hooked up. Am I missing a cable? Do I need to use a firewire from my laptop to the router? Do I need to manually set up the DSL each time I want to use it vs. Airport?
    Thank you!!
    Mary

This is an excerpt from Snow Leopard Help on how the network preference pane works:
"You can connect to the Internet or a network in several ways (using a modem, AirPort, or Ethernet, for example). If you have multiple active network port configurations, Mac OS X tries the configuration at the top of the list first, and then tries the other port configurations in descending order when you attempt to connect to the Internet."
I connect with a DSL using PPoE, and I have a port for PPoE and a separate one for Ethernet in my network preference pane. You may find FAQ on your provider's site that will give you the type of connection you have.

  • Why, when I successfully connect to Server 2012 Essentials R2 via Anywhere Access does the Remote Desktop Connection use the self signed certificate for RDP instead of the SSL certificate I installed when I set up access anywhere?

    Scenario:
    Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials
I purchased an SSL Cert from GoDaddy and I managed (after some challenges) to set up Anywhere access to use that new SSL Cert. I to rebooted the server and I am able to login to Anywhere Access vis https (using the SSL certificate) from PC, Mac and iOS.
    So far so good.
The problem I am having is that when I click to launch a remote desktop connection to the server RDP connection wants to use the self signed SSL certificate of the server rather than the SSL Certificate I installed into Anywhere Access. As a result, I get
a security warning like this: "The identity of the remote computer cannot be verified. Do you want to connect anyway?"
The name in the certificate appears as ACME-SERVER.ACMEDOMAIN.local  instead of the SSL Certificate I installed, which is
    remote.acmedomain.com
If I lick to accept, RDP does work fine, it;s just using a self signed certificate. I want it to use the trusted certificate that I purchased and installed.
My guess is that there must be an additional step to tell Anywhere Access that when it generates the RDP session that it should use the cert? OR, is this just how it works?

    Because....
the server does not have a 'trusted' certificate assigned to it.
Only the RDP Gateway has the trusted certificate for the external name.
If you want to remove that error, you have to do one of the following:
Make sure your domain uses a public top level domaim, and get a public trusted certificate for your server.
    So, something like,
    server.domain.publicdomain.com
    Or,
Install that certificate on your remote computer so it is trusted.

  • ISuites Listener Port, how do I change it?

I have two database listeners, one for a database I originally had on 1521. Then I installed 9iAS, it has an iSuites listener listening also on 1521, but now I am facing some connection problems.
Now that the installation is done, can I change the iSuites port numbers to 1526? Also the 9iAS has created another database, which listener should it contact?
    Thanks

  • Need help with selecting an LCD TV that can wirelessly connect to my laptop

I specifically need to have the ability to view my laptop's display wirelessly on the tv.  My office is going to use it as a presentation display so when I'm in a power point presentation on my laptop it is actually displayed on the tv.  Please let me know what tv's allow this or if there is an accessory I can purchase to make the connection.  I'm hoping there is a blue tooth type option or a USB receiver that can be used.

I have an LG 55" TV that allows me to stream from my router to the TV via cat5.  It isDLNA compatible, so it can receive signals from any compatible device.

  • Changed from one Pixi to another - 3G connection interrupted during app restore. How do I get to them?

    Hi,
We lost a Palm Pixi, and got another one to replace it.  We don't have a data plan (have to pay by the mb), so when we were signing in to our Palm Profile as we activated the replacement phone, I quickly turned data off and wifi on.  I did want the apps from the lost phone to be restored to the new one, but they did not download over wifi, and I'm not sure how to proceed.
Most of the apps (like Angry Birds) required a WebOS update and were not even available to us on the first Pixi until we had gotten the newer WebOS version... so I don't know if our Profile would've allowed them to be put on the replacement phone without the WebOS upgrade. I'm in the process of doing that (upgrading the WebOS) right now.
But... how can I re-start the process of putting the apps, etc. stored in my Palm Profile onto this phone?
    Thanks for any assistance!
Post relates to: Pre Plus p100ueu (SFR)

Once you get webOS updated on your Pixi, the apps should auto-install.  If they do not, open the App Catalog, then tap the shopping bag icon at the bottom-right of the screen.  That will take you to the apps you've installed or that have failed to install.  If your apps do not auto-install after the webOS update, you should see some yellow exclamation marks in the My Applications screen.  Just tap each app to restart the download.

  • Having a hard time installing the latest verison of i-tunes. my laptop can't find the path ITUNES64.MSI" WHAT TOO DO NEED HELP . uninstall the old one now i can't install the new one..heip

can"t install lastest verison of itunes. path too ITUNES64.MSI" unable to find. uninstall tunes and still having the same problems
what do i do to reinstall itunes????

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • How Do You Change the Remote Desktop Listening Port in Win 8.1 Pro

I am trying to setup two Win 8.1 Pro computers for Remote Desktop access on my local network. I can get Remote Desktop working fine on both when they are using the default RD port 3389. I am unable to change the listening port on one of the computers so
that I can access either via a public Internet connection. I change the listening port in the Registry, reboot the computer and verify that the port number has been changed BUT the computer still responds to the old port 3389 and can't connect via the new
port number. I added a Firewall rule for the new port, but that did NOT solve the problem.
I have followed the procedure below and verified in the Registry that the port is changed but the Remote Desktop remains accessible only on the default port 3389. The new port number in the Registry is 39699. I used a network scanner and it shows the computer
is still listening on port 3389 for Remote Desktop connections. Why is Win 8.1 Pro ignoring the new port number in the Registry and still responding on 3389? Is there another place in Win 8.1 Pro that the port also needs to be changed. I also added a new rule
in the Firewall to allow incoming requests on port 39699? This is a very frustrating problem, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I followed the procedure shown below.
    Hi ,
Based on my test, we can change the listening port for Remote Desktop.
To change the port that Remote Desktop listens on, follow these steps.
    1.Start Registry Editor.
2.Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber
3.On the Edit menu, click Modify, and then click Decimal.
4.Type the new port number, and then click OK.
    5.Quit Registry Editor.
    6.Restart the computer.
Meanwhile, please note, please type the new integer port number between 1025 and 65535 in the PortNumber text box.
And make sure the new port number is not in use by other application.
We may use the command below to check the result.
    netstat -a
Also, we can use Network Monitor to trace the port.
    Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4
    Regards,

    Hi,
There are two item that should be modified to change the default 3389 port:
One is: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\Wds\rdpwd\Tds\tcp]. Modify  the PortNamber to the one you want.
The other is: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentContro1Set\Control\Tenninal Server\WinStations\RDP\Tcp]. Modify the PortNumber to the one you want.
In your case, you missed the first one.

  • Multiple listener ports

I'm having various problems with my 1.0.2.1 install that I think are linked to my ports (iAS and 8.1.7 on same machine). I saw in the preinstallation instructions the following:
Oracle9i Application Server installs another database that listens on port 1521. Change the port for the origin database listener to be, for example, 1526.
Can anyone out there tell me how to do this? What is the new database it is installing? The portal30 schema? What's the password for that schema? Is the origin database the one where it installs the wireless repository?
    null

If you can exactly mention what is the problem you are facing then I can probably look into it.
Ias10210 Installs another database, which is used for icache alone. This database is installed on 1521 port and no option to change it. So to change the listener port of the database, go to your <ORACLE_DB_HOME>/network/admin/listener.ora file and modify the listener port to 1526 ( the default is 1521). You can do the same in tnsnames.ora also. After this you have to stop and start the listener
    cmd> lsnrctl stop
    cms> lsnrctl start
For the db installed by IAS is for cache usage alone and is not advisable to use for any other purpose

  • JDeveloper fails to connect after enabling SSL Listen Port

    Hi,
When I activate SSL on port 8002 (SSL Listen Port Enabled) for my soa_server in weblogic console, JDeveloper fails to connect to the server when deploying.
Soa server lookup takes a long time an ends in an error failed to connect to <server>:8002
When I turn off SSL JDev can find the SOA server again.
I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 and SOA Suite 11.1.1.4
What can I do about this?
    Groeten,
    HJH

Here's the top 3 causes for this:
    (1) make sure the database listener is running on the server with the database.
    (2) make sure the connection information that JDeveloper is using is correct.
    (3) remember that JDeveloper uses the SID and not the service name.

    Hi
This is possible, please follow as below:
If it is GL (FBL3N), Customer (FBL5N), Vendor (FBL1N) line item use the TCODE' mentioned.
In the selection screen, if possible give all the document numbers (it is possible with addition selection).
Once you get the output with the line item, select all line items and go to the menu options  there you can see the mass change option, it will give one popup screen give the new value in the text field and proceed further.
