RDS method of display

Hi there.
I’ve noticed something strange on the display of the RDS on the radio of I POD nano.
First as you all know, when you connect the radio remote, it let’s you choose between the next three...
1.Europe. When you can receive between 87.5 and 108)
2.America. When you can receive between 87,5 and 107.9 but only in steps of 200 KHz (for example 97.7=> 97.9=> 98.1 etc).
3.Japan. Where you can receive between 76.0 and 89.9 MHz.
In Greeecem, I own an RDS encoder (in my radio station) and I’ve noticed that the RDS is not working well (on my I-pod).
Here I will explain to you, what exactly happens. First I must say to you that I personally programmed the RDS Encoder I own. This RDS encoder allows me to send two messages on the radio of our listeners. The first one, is a message that all the receives can see! The second one is called “Radio Text” and only some receivers can “see” it. This second message (the “radio text”) is always a scrolled message.
Look here what happens with my I-pod!
1. When I choose “Europe” as my location, I can receive my radio station. I can also receive the Rds message. The problem I have, is that I ONLY RECEIVE the “Radio Text” message that my encoder sends to the receivers. Of course this message is scrolled in the display of my I-pod. In Greece, this message is not the desired message that most radio station transmit
2. When I choose “America” as my location, I can receive my radio station (thank God, we transmit on 97.9 and not at 98.0 MHz), and I can see on the display the "first message" as it should be. This is the message that all the listeners can see and this is the type of RDS message, that all the Greeks radios transmit!
What I suggest to the program team for the next software update is to let the user determine about the “area system of the RDS”. In other words... Here in Greece, we use (mostly) the same protocol as they use in the States.
Windows XP

Unfortunately this seems to be a problem for us users here in Europe. The RDS function is erratic at best when the the radio is set to Europe. It seems to work better if you set it to USA, but the downside is that you can only tune the radio in steps of 2mhz which is not much use when many radio stations have frequencies ending in odd numbers.
It's a well documented issue, and has been noted in many reviews of the radio/remote. Hopefully Apple will address the issue with a firmware update.

  • Using the transaction launcher to call a BOR method to display a PDF

    Hello gurus,
    I have created a PDF icon and an onclick action to open a pdf, that displays on every row of an assignment block in the actions column, but I do not know the technical process to determine how to get a PDF from the IXOS system from the line selected. (even if I know it depends on an ID attribute of that assignment block) I want to to call a transaction launcher with the url for the pdf in the IXOS that has an ID that identifies which line in the assignment block the user has clicked the pdf icon for (does that make sense?)
    In CRM 4, in the collection factsheet assignment block, the link was coded into an XSLT which is then displayed in the GUI and you would have a clickable link for a pdf file in a row in a table. That link would be as follows:
             <xsl:variable name="ev_key">SAPEVENT:?OBJTYPE=<xsl:value-of select="attributes/OBJTYPE"/>&amp;OBJKEY=<xsl:value-of select="@KEY"/>&amp;LOGSYS=<xsl:value-of select="attributes/LOGSYS"/></xsl:variable>
                 <a href="{$ev_key}"></a>
    This will get the file in IXOS and display it, in CRM 4. In CRM 7, the link is an icon in every line of an assignment block.
    Here are some questions I have now for the functional side in the meantime:
    1) Can we fetch the PDF in IXOS for each line of an assignment block and have it open? If so, how? Transaction launcher, function modules (like ARCHIVOBJECT_DISPLAY) in the OPTA package? (the package for all IXOS related function modules..)
    2) Which URL should I call with the transaction launcher? a URL link to the PDF on the IXOS system?? or sapevent:xxx?
    3) Do we have to configure a transaction in the IMG to be launched with the attributes listed there? Do we have to link it to any classes/ objects?
    4) Do we have to have the code to the logical link dynamically to call the right PDF for each table line? Is it right to put this code in my event handler?? Usually transaction launchers are just in the nav bar.....
    5) Are there any existing examples of this or a similar functionality/ logic that I could refer to, preferably in CRM 7 WebUI?
    6) Do you have any code to just display a PDF in a new window? Or prompt a download?
    One possible way I thought of would be for me to have a logical link defined in the IMG for the transaction launcher, and have the attributes defined for my BOR object that I would call, and pass it different attributes (eg. objtype, objkey, logsys...) and then return the PDF and display it in the UI in a new browser window by itself. (There is a BOR method for my BOR object named  'display_pdf'!!!!)
    What do you think would be the optimal solution here? Does my theory of calling a BOR object with a transaction launcher to display a PDF make ANY sense whatsoever???
    Please do not hesitate to propose any potential solution. Any partial answers/ links to wikis/ other threads, anything would be much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Any help on this....I am still awaiting the response.
    Requirement: My requirement is to launch the SE38 transaction on WEBUI using transaction luncher tool and set the parameter on the selection screen.
    Issue: The issue is that I am able to lunch the transaction but unable to set the parameter
    Steps Performed:
    I want to list down all the steps I performed to launch an SE38 transaction using transaction launcher on the WEBUI
    1) Defined logical system in tcode CRMS_IC_CROSS_SYS
    -The logical link looks like this
    http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?transaction=IC_LTXE&okcode=ICEXECUTE ?sap-client=300
    2) Defined URL & paratemeter wherein the request method is "GET", opted for NON-BSP URL
    URL link here is
    http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/!?transaction=SE38&okcode=ONLI
    -Note: My selection screen okcode os ONLI*
    -The logical system ref is provided here
    3) Defined the parameter by giving the screen name like for SE38 selection screen name is "RS38M-PROGRAMM"
    4) Configured the transaction launcher of type B - URL type and provided the reference of the URL ID, choose the relevant parameter from the drop down and have hardcoded the value, cheked the box "Save Data in Activity Clipboard
    5) Added this in the NAvlink/Bus Role etc
    6) Now in the handler class of the TL the code looks like this:
    IF_CRM_IC_ACTION_HANDLER~PREPARE_DATA_FLOW
    __gdc ?=
    cl_crm_ui_data_context_srv=>get_instance( gv_view_controller ).
    __value
    =
    'ZC_TEST'.
    add_parameter(
       iv_name =
    'RS38M-PROGRAMM'
    iv_value = __value ).
    However, after performing the above steps I am unable to set the parameter. Please suggest where am I missing out on. An early response would really be appreciated.

  • Memory leak in Jeditorpane.setText method while displaying html content

    I tried to display a larger size html page using JeditorPane. But I found that there as a huge memory leak after JEditorPane's setText method was called.
    Refering to the below code there was a difference of about 40 MB after the setText method was called.This does not happen if we display the page in rtf format.This finally results in Out Of memry error.

  • Some methods are displaying the result on the server instead on the client.

    When I test (form SeatReservationClient class) the method sri.showReservations() located in SeatReservationClient class the results are being displayed on the server side instead on the client but the method sri.numReservations() is displaying the result as i want it i.e. on the client. Please can anyone help me (as always on this forum) find a solution to this problem and display the results correctly?
    I have 5 classes:
    Interface
    public interface SeatReservationInterface extends java.rmi.Remote
         public boolean isReserved(int row, int seat) throws java.rmi.RemoteException;
         public boolean reserve(int row, int seat) throws java.rmi.RemoteException;
         public boolean cancel(int row, int seat) throws java.rmi.RemoteException;
         public int numReservations() throws java.rmi.RemoteException;
    public void showReservations() throws java.rmi.RemoteException;
    Implementation
    public class SeatReservationImpl extends java.rmi.server.UnicastRemoteObject implements SeatReservationInterface
         private Seat[][] theatre;
         * Implementations must have an explicit constructor in order to declare the RemoteException
         * exception.
        * Theatre constructor makes a new movie theatre with numRows rows and numSeats
        * seats (chairs) in each row. All seats are unreserved (unoccupied) in the beginning.
        public SeatReservationImpl(int numRows, int numSeats) throws java.rmi.RemoteException
              theatre = new Seat[numRows][numSeats];
              for(int row = 0; row <theatre.length; row++)
              for(int col = 0; col<theatre[row].length; col++)
              theatre[row][col] = new Seat();
        * The method returns true if the seat at location (row, seat) is reserved.
        * The method returns false in all other cases.
        * Be careful that row numbers run from 1 to numRows, and seat numbers from
        * 1 to numSeats.
         public boolean isReserved(int row, int seat) throws java.rmi.RemoteException
             return theatre[row-1][seat-1].isOccupied();
        * Books the seat at location (row, seat) and returns true if that seat is available.
        * Returns false if that seat is already reserved.
         public boolean reserve(int row, int seat) throws java.rmi.RemoteException
              return theatre[row-1][seat-1].occupy();
        * Cancels a seat reservation at location (row, seat) is that seat was booked, and returns
        * true in that case. The method returns false if that seat had not been reserved.
         public boolean cancel(int row, int seat) throws java.rmi.RemoteException
              return theatre[row-1][seat-1].release();
        * Returns the number of reserved seats.

    * Prints an overview over all reservations. Reserved seats are shown as "*", available seats
    * as "-". For each row the row number is shown, then a couple of blanks, and then the
    * reservations. An example is
    * 8 -----****----

              return this.occupied;
         public boolean occupy()

    }

    Your code is working as expected. The server executes System.out.println in showReservations() and this comes out on the server console. The client executes System.out.println() after calling numReservations and this comes out at the client. Any other expectations are misplaced.

  • Methods of displaying an indicator in one labview program in a different labview program.

    If I have two programs, how many different methods do I have of displaying one programs indicators in the other program? Same with controls.
    thanks

    I'm not sure if I understand correctly..
    Do you mean sharing information when they are both running?
    If so, then "References" are useful for this. I think there are examples available of vi's using references.
    For instance, you have one vi running. Your other vi wants to know the progress of the first one or obtain certain values, etc. Using reference allows the second vi to get the desired data from the first vi. The vi's are not wired onto each other, both run in parallel.
    If this is not what you meant, can you provide more details? I'm not sure what you meant about controls.

  • BDC Sessin Method errors display

    Hi
    I have a small doubt in BDC SESSION ERROR handling.
    Can we display the erronious records to the user directly after executing the BDC program( Using SESSION METHOD) if any?
    Please give an example.

  • Looking For Method Of Displaying Drill-Down Subreport Data On Same Page

    Not sure what the technical term for this is, but I need to find a way to display dynamic drill-down sub-report data within a report.  Here is an example of what I am trying to accomplish:
    + DATA SUMMARY 1
    + DATA SUMMARY 1
    - DATA SUMMARY 1
            data detail 11
            data detail 12
    - DATA SUMMARY 2
            data detail 2
            data detail 2
    The idea is you click on the + (plus sign) and the subreport detail unfolds below the summary row.  To close the sub-report data, you click on the - (minus sign).  Right now, the report pops up the sub-report data in a separate tab, which is not what the client wants.

    Who doesn't know if this is a function of report design or of viewer manipulation of report data...

    I think this is called In Place Drill Down.

  • Alternative method for displaying images blobs stored in DB

    I am trying to use an Application Process as a means to displaying images stored in BLOB columns in my table. And it works except for one problem. The code for my on-demand Application Process is below (the name of the application process is OUTPUT_IMAGE):
    DECLARE
    l_mime VARCHAR2(255);
    l_length NUMBER;
    l_file_name VARCHAR2(2000);
    lob_loc BLOB;
    BEGIN
    SELECT photo_mime_type,
    photo_blob,
    photo_filename,
    dbms_lob.getlength(photo_blob)
    INTO l_mime,
    lob_loc,
    l_file_name,
    l_length
    FROM persons
    WHERE id = <b>260</b>;
    owa_util.mime_header(nvl(l_mime,'application/octet'), FALSE);
    htp.p('Content-length: ' || l_length);
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: filename="' || l_file_name || '"');
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    wpg_docload.download_file(lob_loc);
    END;
    I can then create HTML like:
    &lt;img src="f?p=[my_app_id]:0:[the_session_id]:APPLICATION_PROCESS=OUTPUT_IMAGE"&gt;
    Which works nicely.
    The question/problem is: How can I pass the ID of the record (whose BLOB I want to display) to the Application Process? (In the code above you'll see the value of <b>260</b> is currently hard coded). I thought about tacking on something like "&my_id=xxx' to the end of the URL but doing so prevents the Application Process from even running.<BR/><BR/>
    All comments/suggestions much appreciated,<BR/><BR/>
    Thanks,
    <BR/>
    Andy

    Andrew,
    The URL for an Application Process uses the standard f?p syntax.
    Try passing your value like this:
    < img src="f?p=[my_app_id]:0:[the_session_id]:APPLICATION_PROCESS=OUTPUT_IMAGE:NO::MY_ID:[the value to send]"> You would need to have an item called MY_ID.
    Your query could then refer to it as
    WHERE id = :MY_ID;

  • LR needs to change its method of displaying previews

    Loving Lightroom 1.0 so far, but one very important thing has not changed since beta 4.1:
    In every module *save for* Develop module, LR will still typically only display the 'standard preview' which may or may not suck depending on whether or not you deal with 16 bit smooth tonal gradient images. 8-bit, even 'high quality', standard previews just don't cut it for my film scans. Color banding abound in smoothly-graded sunsets.
    When I zoom in (1:1), LR says it's 'working', during which time I presume it is building a 1:1 preview. Once that's done, everything looks good. I zoom back out to 'fit', and it looks great... no banding!
    Flip through my library, take a look at some other pics, then come back to aforementioned pic, and LR decides to go back to showing me the standard preview with color banding! I mean, as long as you rendered a good quality 1:1 preview, you may as well show it, no? (yes, I have it set to *never* discard 1:1 previews) This time, when I zoom to 1:1 and back out, it *always* displays the low-quality preview with banding. Very erratic behavior, same as b4.1!
    At least in 1.0 they gave us the option of creating 'high' quality previews... most of my image previews in b4.1 were so poor I couldn't in my right mind even use the Library/Slideshow modules to view my film scans. Really, though, a 'very high' quality setting would be more appropriate for me given the color banding I see in my 16 bit film scans of images with smooth color gradients (anyone else?)
    Admittedly, let me reiterate, this problem is only visible on images with very smooth tonal gradients. But given that this is software for the 'professional photographer', why would we want to settle for 8-bit low quality previews in every module save for Develop? Develop renders the full image in real time... Do we have to switch to the Develop module every time we just want to see a higher quality version of our image?
    For this very reason, Aperture first displays the 'high-quality' preview in its 'grid' mode, while loading the full image in the background. Wait a little bit, and the lower quality image turns into a full quality image on par with what you would see in LR's Develop module. In LR's Slideshow module, we're stuck with LR only displaying whatever standard preview it generated for the image... again, not good for complex 16-bit images... even iView Media Pro from way back when rendered images in full-quality in real time for its slideshow... why is LR so behind the game here?
    Has anyone else witnessed this problem and will Adobe care enough to address it?

    Thanks for the feedback Lee & Sean.
    I just tried what you suggested -- selecting the images and then selecting "Render Standard-sized Previews"... no difference. Then I selected the images & tried "Render 1:1 Previews"... still nothing but the preview *with* banding/macroblocking.
    Please take a look at the difference between Library & Develop modules here (though I've converted these images to sRGB profile, the difference will be more noticeable in a color managed application (not a browser), so please download and view in Lightroom... or Preview if you're on a Mac):
    http://web.mac.com/rishisanyal/iWeb/Homepage/Library.jpg
    http://web.mac.com/rishisanyal/iWeb/Homepage/Develop.jpg
    The macroblocking is most noticeable in the sky right above and to the right of the WaMu building on the left (the tallest building).
    Also, here's what the difference between modules looked like in b4.1 (albeit different image):
    http://web.mac.com/rishisanyal/iWeb/Homepage/Library_vs_Develop.jpg
    Seems that the problem persists.
    Again, thanks for your input,
    Rishi

  • Return to List Processing From Business Object Method CTREQUEST.Display

    I have a simple program which displays selected TRKORR (Transport/Correction) numbers in a list on the screen. I want to be able to double click on the number and inspect the contents of these items.
    The program is not pretty - its for my use only.

      data l_req type TRKORR .
      move sy-lisel+29(20) to l_req . CONDENSE l_req NO-GAPS .
      perform showcts using l_req .
    The problem is, when I exit from the CT Request, the program EXITs  . The desired behavior would be to return to my list processing.
    How can I return to my list upon exiting the Request display?
    Thanks...

    Hi,
    Try command LEAVE TO SCREEN 0 instead of EXIT.
    Thanks.

    hi,
    thanks a lot, friends. i found out that execute from cl_gui_frontend_services works perfect for me.
    BUT: is it possible to load a file from APPLICATION server too ? in the example below
    file is on presentation (client).
    call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>execute
          exporting
            document = 'C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\d78358\ALTMP_D01_2.PDF'

  • Using methods to  display number

    I have to write a program that can display a phone # in big form down the screen
    11 2222 3333
    11 22 3
    11 22 333
    11 22 3
    11 22222 3333
    but i have no clue how to change a number given to the computer into the big form above could anyone help me on this?

    You store the "big" representation of each number.
    Say each big number consists of 5 lines (as in yor
    eaxmple). Then you first print the first line of each
    number on the same line, then the second etcetera.But if you're just printing to a stream, this wouldn't work. You can only print 1 char at a time (text cursor is down a row when it ends)

  • Enum value not displaying in view - correct method to display in column?

    Hello again Experts,
    Having trouble with certain columns not populating in my custom class. I know I must have entered them incorrectly, hoping someone can shed some light on it.
    Its a custom work item class, so I borrowed the Work Item Status property but am obviously referencing it wrong...
    under my class properties its listed as follows:
    <Property ID="Status" Type="enum" AutoIncrement="false" Key="false" CaseSensitive="false" MaxLength="56" MinLength="0" Required="false" Scale="0" EnumType="WorkItem!IncidentStatusEnum" />
    In my Columns definition its entered like this (this is where I made the mistake I think):
    <mux:Column Name="Status.DisplayName" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path=IncidentStatusEnum.DisplayName, Mode=OneWay}" Width="100" DisplayName="Status" Property="Status.DisplayName" DataType="s:String" />
    Next is a custom enum called Source_List, here is the property again followed by the column definition:
    <Property ID="Source" Type="enum" AutoIncrement="false" Key="false" CaseSensitive="false" MaxLength="256" MinLength="0" Required="false" Scale="0" EnumType="Source_List" />
    <mux:Column Name="Source.DisplayName" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path=Source_List.DisplayName, Mode=OneWay}" Width="100" DisplayName="Source List" Property="Source.DisplayName" DataType="s:String" />
    The last one is "Destination FSL", below are the property and column definitions:
    <Property ID="Target_FSL" Type="enum" AutoIncrement="false" Key="false" CaseSensitive="false" MaxLength="256" MinLength="0" Required="false" Scale="0" EnumType="Destination_FSL_List" />
    <mux:Column Name="Destination_FSL_List" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path=Destination_FSL_List, Mode=OneWay}" Width="100" DisplayName="Destination FSL" Property="Target_FSL" DataType="s:String" />
    I know I've mucked them up pretty bad... I kept trying to change things around hoping I could get it to work so pls forgive my newbiness! Thanks in advance.

    Look at other views in Service Manager's management packs to get insight into how enum columns are configured.
    Change your binding paths to Status.DisplayName, Source.DisplayName, and Target_FSL.DisplayName respectively. You have to bind your columns to your object properties, not your lists.
