I have an A660-12Q and an L670D-146.
The Laptops have diverent AC/DC Adpater (PA3714U-1ACA = L670D / PA3716E-1AC3). The technical data and the plug are almost the same.
Can it problems to exchange the adapters under each other ?

First - no warranty will be valid for issues based upon the use of incorrect AC adapter.
However, there probably will not be any such issues.
If You check the output details - 19V X.XXA this is one of the important parts to answering your question.
The Output voltage must be the same and I believe they are - both 19Volt right?
The current is also important since a too low value will make your PC very unstable. So check that both are the same (i.e. 4.74A)
The other part which is very important is polarity - means which part of the plug that provides the + and which provides the -
There should be a picture on the AC adapter showing you this information.
If both pictures give the same message, You should be safe.
If You are unsure however, please do not test since the consequences are anything but fun.

I just purchased a DVI to Video Adapter for my MacBook Pro 15". I'd like to display iPhoto slide shows on my TV. Will there be a difference in picture quality on the TV if I output from the Mac (thru the DVI to Video Adapter) using an RCA cable versus an S-video cable?

S-Video is the better of the two interfaces. Neither is very good when compared with a computer screen, which will have much higher resolution. I doubt you will notice much difference between S-Video and RCA Video but if you have the choice you might as well go S-Video.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.

I have a new powerbook and want to give my girlfriend my old G4 power book, she has a new iphone 5s, and wants to create a new itunes/apple id. When i try to de authorize the G4 and sign in with her new apple ID it says bad password, how can i release the G4 from my cluster of authorized apples and make her the owner so she can download music and more importantly sync her music with her phone, she only has 3 songs on her iphone, and loaded all her CD's into the g4 but cant sync, im no dummy and this shouldnt be hard, but its driving me crazy!!!!!!

Yes, you can use the same computer for BACK UPS, RESTORING AND UPDATING. But that is it.
You cannot, however, use it to sync the different devices. iTunes will only recognize one device to sync with and if you sync any other devices with that iTunes library, it will replace what is on the phone with whatever is in the library. It cannot differentiate between devices. At most, it will jsut recognize that the phone has been synced with a different iTunes library.
So if you would like to use the same computer for backing up, restoring and updating, just make sure to turn of Automatic Syncing in your iTunes Preferences.

Can N200 battery be used for N100 laptop

One of Lenovo resellers suggested that N200 battery can be used for N100 laptop as well. However, N200 one is 11V and N100 one is 10.8V. Otherwise it fits in the laptop design.

Yes, you can with with Airfoil.
However, for watching DVDs, you'll want to use VLC in concert with Airfoil so that you can compensate for the audio delay that will occur otherwise. Open Airfoil and select VLC as the app whose audio should go to the Express. Click on the little button next to the speaker name and VLC will automatically open.
Then open the VLC preferences, select Audio in the list, and click on the Advanced checkbox at the bottom of the preferences window. Enter a negative number of milliseconds in the "Audio desynchronization compensation" field to advance the audio ahead of the video, which will offset the audio delay. Start with -3000 (3 seconds) and you'll probably have to tweak it from there. Then open the DVD in VLC and start it playing.
Yes, this is a pain in the butt, but it's the nature of streaming audio: the audio stream must be prebuffered for a few seconds to keep variations in the data transfer rate from interrupting the audio.

Using a PC laptop as external monitor for MBP

I just purchased my first mac. I want to have a dual monitor setup so I can have a bigger workspace when I design graphics on my Macbook Pro.
Can I use my other laptop, which is a Toshiba, as an external monitor? The guy at Radioshack was worried that both the MBP and the PC laptop would try to send output signals and end up frying both video cards.

ScreenRecycler works very well. Contrary to what others have said on these boards, it is possible to use a second laptop as an external display.

You will need a fast network connection between the two machines. Gigabit ethernet would be best, but performance is very good with 100 Mb. I wouldn't try using wireless to connect the machines - too much lag.

Graphic, sound and video files are copied into the Keynote file, but make sure Keynote > Preferences - include sound and movies check box is ticked.
If you have added additional fonts they will need be changed to reflect what is on the destination machine.
If the other machine has a different Keynote version, ensure the same transitions and effects are available.
