Re-activate disabled Ram Doubler 9 for a TAM

i have installed a ram doubler 9 on my twentieth anniversary macintosh (TAM) to increase the ram from 128mb to 256mb . it works perfectly til yesterday .
i originally want to rebuild desktop (holding the control and option keys while starting up , but accidentally made the ram doubler disabled !
whenever i boot the TAM , the icon underneath shown a big red cross on it , then a dialogue said that the ramdoubler was moved or disabled , asking me to restart the computer . i restart it , no luck . big cross was still there .
based on my memory of switching on / off ram doubler , i tried to switch it off again by holding the ~ key while starting up , hope that i can have it back . but i even lost the ram doubler icon while starting !
how can i reactivate the ram doubler .
anybody please help !

I haven't used RamDoubler for some time now, ever since I got my G3 there has been no need for it. I remember tho, it had some peculiarities. When de-activated, it needed to be 're-activated'. I had to do this quite often, so I came up with a solution: I made an image of the installer disk, and placed it on the desktop. When I had to re-activate the thing, I mounted the image, re-installed (it didn't copy anything, but did something useful apparently), and I was asked to restart. Once I did, RamDoubler was active.
Hope this helps, and if not, then there are perhaps other things to try. But start with the easiest solution first.

RAM Doubler broken by OS 9 Startup Disk control panel

After setting up a PowerBook G3 with OS 9.2.2, thought I'd install RAM Doubler since it has only 128MB of RAM (and just for nostalgia's sake). Seems to work fine (of course, had to install the two OS 9 RD updates), but then I started from an external disk to run Disk Warrior on it, and when I returned to the internal disk RAM Doubler was disabled "because it had been moved". I remember RD had a piracy-protection system to prevent copying; apparently this was triggered somehow.
Experimentation determined that the trigger was the Startup Disk control panel: if this control panel is even opened, without changing any settings, RD is immediately disabled. Though the alert suggests "Restart your computer to run more applications," this doesn't work; RD must be reinstalled at this point.
I assume this is a bug that appeared in Mac OS 9 sometime after Connectix went out of business, so was never addressed/fixed. (I haven't tried this with 9.0.x or 9.1.) It can be avoided by not using the Startup Disk control panel, instead using the C key to start up from a CD, or cmd-opt-shift-delete to force startup from an external disk. Either of these expedients does not affect RD, but the Startup Disk control panel kills it.
Anyone else run into this? Any thoughts, solutions?

There have been a few posts over the years indicating that RamDoubler can't quite get to full compatibility with OS 9. This may have to do with some applications in OS 9 having the ability to use dynamic memory allocation, a function probably not expected by RamDoubler.
As Baby Boomer suggests, leaving RamDoubler off and using the OS's native Virtual Memory function should prove to be more stable.
Best is to increase the physical RAM in the machine. I have 896MB RAM in this G4, and am able to leave Virtual Memory off.

Let's verify your issue. Did you want to disable USB storage device?
If yes, try this:
1. If you have not ever already done so, you must connect a USB storage device
to the computer now, and wait until Windows installs it and displays it in the Computer window with an assigned drive letter, then
disconnect it.
2. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog, type
regedit, and press Enter.
3. If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes.
4. In Registry Editor, navigate to the location below:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\USBSTOR
5. In the right pane of USBSTOR, double click on Start to modify it.
6. Type in 4, click on OK.
7. Close Registry Editor windows.

Jabber for Window, phone mode, how to disable "use my computer for calls"

We have a Citrix environment and only want to control the Cisco deskphone with Jabber for Windows in the phone mode.
We use CUCM 8.6.2 and I have installed Jabber for Windows 9.7.0 and all works fine, I can control my deskphone, make and receive calls, phonebook and Outlook integration works fine.
Is it possible to disable "use my computer for calls" as we do not want users to make calls via Citrix, but only use the deskphone for this.

Soft-phone mode cannot be disabled. Supported Features on Virtual Environment are the following.
Supported Features
    Instant messaging and presence with other Cisco Jabber clients
    Desk phone control
    Voicemail
    Presence integration with Microsoft Outlook 2007, 2010 and 2013
We have an existing defect which is in Terminated state because feature is not supported hence cannot be fixed.
