Re activating creative suite 5.5

The activation screen has asked me to Deactivate creative suite 5.5 Design Premium. I clicked on the help menu and Deactivate does not show up, to re install the software. I recently had a new logic board installed on my lap top, and the creative suite will not work properly or not at all if I do not de activate this copy. Do I completely un-install the whole package and start again or please how me how to de activate and start with a clean slate to have 5.5 Design Premium work properly on this new logic board.

but first, check if cs5.5 is currently installed where you can deactivate it.

Installing and activating Creative Suite 6 Design Standard on two computers?

I purchased Creative Suite 6: Design Standard as a physical copy (with a CD) about a couple of years ago. I've installed it on my iMac, but now that I purchased a Mac Book Pro, I'd also like to install the package on the laptop. My new Mac Book Pro 13" with Retina display does not have a CD/DVD drive.
First of all, is it possible to have an Adobe package installed and activated on two computers simultaneously?
I tried to download the Creative Suite 6 from the Downloads on Adobe website and activate it on my laptop with the serial number that I received when I purchased the product, but the serial number did NOT work. It says "The serial number you entered is invalid." Does this problem occur because the serial number is in use on the Creative Suite, which is installed and activated on my iMac?
Is there another way to download + install + activate the package on my laptop? Obviously without a CD/DVD drive I cannot use the physical installation CD that I purchased.

Thanks for the reply. I've been looking into this problem more but haven't been successful in solving it. Getting a bit frustrated with this!
The serial number seems to be the issue.. I don't know why it won't go through. Do I need a different serial number to activate a Creative Suite 6 Design Standard downloaded from the Adobe website? I used the same serial number that can be found on the back of the product box that I purchased a couple of years ago. So far I have installed and activated my product only with my iMac, and now attempting to activate it with my Mac Book Pro, so the problem is not that it's been activated too many times.
When I finally do manage to activate this software also on my laptop, do I have to deactivate and activate it every time I wish to switch from one computer to the other? Is there a limit to how many times it can be activated/deactivated?

The difference being that this person was activating their software for the first time, I'm trying to activate it a second time on a different machine (while still keeping the software activated on the first machine).

ma société réorganise son park de licence photoshop (CS et CS2 notamment). Après plusieurs étapes j'ai réussi à récupérer des versions CS2 qui fonctionaient. Cependant nous avons désormais le même problème concernant les packages Creative suite, impossible de les réactiver par internet. Peut on les remplacer par des licences CS2?

Hello, I am having trouble figuring out how to activate creative suite... I think I need to activate it through an other program ... but I am not sure... So if someone can just help me activate it that would great cause I need it to download the swatches off the Kuler extension.. Thank you!

Launch any of the CS products, it should automatically prompt you to enter the serial number and activate it.
Else you can navigate to 'Help' menu and select 'Activate'.

I just cleared my computer (Macbook Pro 2011) and wanted to reinstall the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard Student ans Teacher Edition (Mac, English) that I bought (near october, november 2011) but my adobe account was no longer activated. I moved Creative Suite 5 from my old MacBook Pro to my new MacBook Air and followed the instructions for deactivating on the old and activating on the new but only Photoshop and Illustrator will work. Problem with the MacBook Air is that is doesn't have a disc drive so I had to transfer via external hard drive.

The problem is that you need to install CS5 from an installation file or installation disc. You can't just copy files because there are lots of supplementary files that don't get put in the right location.
You'll need to use the Adobe Cleaner to remove all the stuff on your new computer:

Effective December 13, Adobe disabled the activation server for CS2 products and Acrobat 7 because of a technical glitch. These products were released over 7 years ago and do not run on many modern operating systems. But to ensure that any customers activating those old versions can continue to use their software, we issued a serial number directly to those customers. While this might be interpreted as Adobe giving away software for free, we did it to help our customers.

EN version is not so eaqual in all with CZ version, I have PREMIUM one, not Standard.
So I download these EN versions and Acrobat 7Pro separately.
It look that it works, I have it installed on my presentation laptop. I ussualy work on PC and laptop is for bussines trips mostly.
When I was working on my PC I found in menu one interesting option. I have installed CS2 in 2010 so it works OK, still in CZ. What I found in menu is called "Licence Transfer".
I didnt try it because I dont want to loose my activation on PC, but could you please say to me what does this option means?
Is it possible to copy licence on flash disk and use it on laptop, but it still be in PC also? Or it is only for deactivation, so you will loose it, and after this you can do new activation (which is impossible by server shut down)?
And one question to the end, if I buy some later version like CS4 or CS5 (from some graphic studio which have one licence to sell-transfer) so do Adobe plan to shut down server too, for CS4, CS5 or after this non user/customer friendly solution (I mean for CS2) will Adobe do some application which we can install on our local PC and this app will say to CSxx "Your licence is OK, just continue in work" ?? --- this would be much better, I think if Adobe do this so it will be the same like no-activation versions in EN only but without so many complains and impacts on your customers.

The licenses are operating system specific, so one option would be to retain use of the Windows machine you had before the Mac.
If you want to try to use the older stuff on your new Mac you can try installing Windows emulation software such as Bootcamp.

I bought a number of Creative Suite 2 Premium packages (plus a few others) at an auction and want to sell them on. Is activation going to be a problem?

Recently I bought a fairly large collection of software at a local general auction. In the collection are several copies of Adobe products that I would like to sell on. I've read through the activation transfer section of the adobe site but the advice there seems to either require access to the computer the software was originally installed on (which may now have either been broken for parts or simply scrapped) or some form filling by the original owners who are unknown and not contactable.
The products I have are:
Creative Suite 2 Premium (8x copies a mix of Windows and Mac)
Creative Suite 2 Premium With Macromedia Studio 8 (1x copy for Windows)
Creative Suite 5 Master Collection (1x copy for Mac)
Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium Upgrade Version (1x copy for Mac)
All are in their original boxes with their manuals, registration cards.
I suppose I could punt the whole collection on as a "bought as seen" lot but I'd rather sort out the activation issue so I can move them on in good faith without just passing the problem on to someone else.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks but that's not the issue I'm asking about steve, I'll be selling them on to users of the correct required operating systems (Windows XP and Mac OS X) of which there are still a large number in use. But I need to make sure they can be activated once installed.

My harddrive crashed and I lost all my software. I had to reinstall. Everything is okay now but when I activate Encore DVD 2.0, I get the message "Activation server shut down for ........." I searched for the free download (without activating) of the CS 2 Premium, but I cold not find it. I only found the normal CS 2.

Creative suite 5.5 subscription not activating any more. Keeps on saying "check internet connection"

How do I fix activation failure for Creative Suite 5.5 when transferring from XP computer to Windows 8.1?.

How do I fix an activation failure for Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard? I uninstalled this from my old XP computer and re-installed it on Windows 8.1 two weeks ago. I am in NZ and got error message #129.17. I used the recommended fix of changing the time zone when I did the transfer and this seemed to work, but today when I tried to use Acrobat Pro I got the activation failure message with the same error code again. This time the fix doesn't seem to work. Is there anything else I can try?
